Ch 19 A Surprising Confession
"Kovu!" Jasiri shouted, running over to get her friend off of Kiara. "Kovu!" Jasiri shouted once again. "What the heck is wrong with you?! Get off of her!" But it was only with the help of Safara and Chana that the six month old cub was able to pull her enraged friend off of Kiara.
"Kovu!" Chana shouted, shoving the golden brown cub away from Kiara, while Safara and Nyeusi helped the light brown ten month old to her feet. "What the heck has gotten into you?!"
"Yeah," Jasiri chimed in. "You usually ain't one to lose your temper like that.
"Yeah calm down dude," Moto said as he stood in front of Kovu.
"I'm sorry guys," Kovu said, his light green eyes wide. "I...I don't know why I did that. Are you alright Kiara?" Kovu looked over at the light brown cub with guilt filled eyes when he said this part.
"Yeah," Kiara said, shaking her head to clear her vision. "I'm good. But if you ever do something like that again I'll rip your freaking face off! Got it?!"
"Yeah," Kovu said softly. "I got it. But I really am sorry."
"Why'd you attack her for anyways?" Chafu asked.
"I...I don't really know," Kovu admitted. "For some reason when I heard that she and her brothers were the children of Scar I...I just lost it."
"That's pretty dumb," Chana said with a slight laugh.
"How would you like it if you found out that you were related to them?!" Kovu cried out.
"What do you mean related to us?" a voice cried out. The group turned and to their surprise they saw Kopa walking towards them. The creamy brown cub was limping slightly due to his injuries.
"Kopa you shouldn't be out!" Kiara cried out, running over to her younger brother. "You could make yourself worse."
"I feel better Kiara," Kopa insisted. "Really I do. Now please tell me what's going on?"
"Looks like Kovu here is our half brother," Kiara informed Kopa. Then she turned towards Kovu and asked, "Isn't that right Kovu?"
"Well yeah it is," Kovu admitted. Then he said in a much louder voice, "And that's all the more reason I'll help you guys. I mean you guys are my family after all."
"Uh thanks Kovu," Kiara said, unable to keep the surprise out of her voice.
"Wait a minute here," Kopa said suddenly. "What's your angle Kovu?" Kopa narrowed his blue eyes at Kovu when he said this part.
"Uh I'm not the one with the angle here Kopa," Kovu said with annoyance. "I just want to help my siblings that's all."
"No one wants to help their family unless there's some kind of angle that benefits them," Kopa declared. "At least not where we're from."
"Well that's not how things work in a normal family," Vitani pointed out. "And from what Daddy has told us Nala is anything but normal."
"That's is so true," Kiara muttered.
"So what now?" Nyeusi asked.
"Well we need to discuss Kion," Kiara said. "And how to help him."
"Just how bad is he?" Kovu asked
"Bad," Kopa said with a slight shudder. With that the creamy brown cub told the others how bad his twin brother had gotten.
"Wow," Kovu said, shaking his head. "That's terrible. But I think I know how to help him." With that the golden brown brown cub told the others his plan and the rest of the afternoon was spent discussing the plan and how to enact it.

Sharka let out a loud roar and raised her paw to kill Sarafina. "No!" Kion cried out, his green eyes wide as he went to help his grandmother. But Tama quickly grabbed the brown coated cub, preventing his from helping. "Let go of me!" Kion cried out, biting Tama hard, causing her to let out a cry of both surprise and pain. She also loosened her grip on Kion and he quickly broke free. But to his horror he was too late as he saw Sharka slash Sarafina's throat, killing her. "No!" Kion cried out. "Grandma!'
"That's one less traitor in the world," Sharka said, wiping the blood off her paws. Just then Nala approached the group. When she saw Sarafina's lifeless body her blue eyes went wide with surprise. Then she noticed Sharka wiping blood off of her and Nala let out a growl.
"What the Hell happened here?!" the creamy coated lioness snarled, whipping her head around to face Sharka.
"She was a traitor my lady," Sharka said, taking a step backwards. "She was corrupting Kion into going against you. I had no choice but to kill her." Nala let out a furious roar and hit Sharka hard in her face, sending her sprawling across the ground.
"I've told you Sharka!" Nala thundered, running up to Sharka and hitting her once again. "Nothing is to be done without my say so!" With that Nala hit Sharka once again. Only this time she knocked Sharka out cold. "Grab my mother's body," Nala ordered the other lionesses. "We're going to bury her." Without waiting for a response Nala turned and left, leaving a stunned Kion and Tama behind.

A few hours later Kopa, Kiara, Chafu, Nyeusi and Safara were back in the Outlands where they were met by a sullen looking Kion. "What's wrong with you?" Kiara asked, giving Kion a look.
"Grandma's dead," Kion said, his voice barely audible. The group gasped and their eyes went wide with shock.
"B...but how?" Kopa stammered as he blinked back tears.
"Sharka killed her," Kion said, looking at the ground.
"Why would Mom do something like that?" Chafu wondered.
"Because she was a traitor," Sharka said, coming onto the scene with Nala and Tama right behind her. Chafu and Nyeusi looked at their mother in shock as neither cub ever expected her to do such a violent thing. Sharka noticed the looks on her children's faces and the grey lioness smiled and pulled her ten month old son and six month old daughter close and nuzzled them. "Don't worry my darlings," Sharka said as she nuzzled her children. "What I did was for the best."
"Yes it was," Tama said with a nod. "Sarafina could not be allowed to live. She was far too much of a threat."
"Agreed," Nala said after a minute. "She was a fool. She knew damn good and well what the consequences were and she still tried to corrupt Kion into going against me. She got exactly what she deserved. And anyone who thinks like her will get the same! Am I clear?!" Nala whipped around to face the terrified cubs when she snarled this part.
"Y...yes mother!" Kopa, Kiara and Kion stammered. With that Nala let out a growl and stormed away, leaving a terrified group of cubs behind.
"Come Sharka lets see if we can scrounge up some food," Tama said. "Unless you need me to stay Safara."
"No I'm good Mom," Safara said with a smile.
"Are we good too?" Sharka asked, looking at Nyeusi and Chafu when she said this part. "I'd hate for you two to be afraid of me or think of me as a murderer."
"We could never be afraid of you Mom," Chafu said, nuzzling his mother.
"Yeah," Nyeusi said as she too gave Sharka a nuzzle. "We know you had to get rid of the poison before it spread."
"Thank you my dears," Sharka said as she gave her children licks. "I'll be back soon. I love you both."
"We love you too Mom," Chafu said with a smile as he watched his mother and Tama leave. Little did the adults know that their children didn't agree with them in the slightest and were about to do something that would chance everything forever.
A/N I'm leaving you all with yet another cliffie. Don't you all just love that? lol. But I do hope you all enjoyed this chapter. Review please and thank you.
