Ch 23 War

Simba and his Pride were reaching the Grasslands when they were met by Fauti and Kuato. "We heard about Nala and her Pride were waging war," Fauti said to Simba. "Kuato and I are at your service."

"Thank you Fauti," Simba said with a smile. "I have a feeling we're going to need it." By now they were nearing the Outland border. But to their surprise they saw that Nala and her Pride were already there along with Reirei and her Pack.

"Well now look who it is Goigoi," Reirei said to her mate. "Its our traitor followers Fauti and Kuato."

"I see 'em," Goigoi said, his voice low and dark as he glared at the couple.

"Its fitting that they're here," Reirei hissed. "Now we can tear them apart for betraying us."

"The only one that's getting torn apart is you Reirei!" Fauti growled. "We've got friends you know." Fauti nodded towards her friends, which totaled about 10 jackals who were also former members of Reirei's Pack.

"Enough!" Nala thundered, causing her followers to look at her. "We're going to take back what's rightfully ours!"

"This is your last chance Nala," Simba growled as he stood at the front of his Pride with his friends right behind him and Zira at his side. "Leave now and there won't be any consequences."

"Not a chance Simba!" Nala roared. "Its time for your blood to be spilled and Scar to be avenged! Attack!"

"Ladies attack!" Simba roared. With that the two Prides of lionesses raced towards each other all of them out for blood. The two Pride connected, biting and clawing. Nala circled around the fighting, looking for Simba. And she soon found him.

"Perfect," Nala cackled, her eyes gleaming. "Kion!" Kion came running up to his mother.

"Yes Mother?" the brown coated eight month old cub asked.

"The time has come," Nala declared. "Together we will take down Simba and take our rightful place as rulers of the Pride Lands!"

"Yes Mother," Kion said with an evil grin. With that the mother and son slinked towards Simba, determined to kill him. The twosome snuck up behind Simba, who was distracted by Reirei and Goigoi. Looking at each other they exchanged evil grin and lept to attack. But before they could make contact they were intercepted by Kovu, Jasiri, Nuka, Vitani ,Kopa, Kiara, Safara, Nyeusi, and Chafu. Kiara, Kovu, and Chafu took down Nala while Kopa and Jasiri took down Kion. This gained the attention of Simba, whose amber eyes went wide with surprise when he saw the cubs attacking Nala and Kion.

"Nuka!" the golden King cried out. "Vitani! What are you doing?!"

"Helping you Dad!" Nuka cried out as he dodged Nala's blow.

"You little shits are going to pay for interfering!" Nala snarled as she threw Kiara and Chafu off of her and hit them hard in their faces. "I'll kill all of you!"

"Like Hell you will!" Simba snarled as he went to attack Nala. But before he could do anything Reirei and Goigoi hit the King hard in the back of his head, sending him crashing to the ground. Simba shook his head in order to clear his vision. Reirei and Goigoi laughed evilly and went in to attack once again. But before they could suddenly Fauti and Kuato came charging in along with Moto, Chana and Kijana. The adult jackals tackled Reirei and Goigoi and the young jackals went to help the lion cubs deal with Nala and Kion.

"Leave our friends alone!" Moto cried out as he and his brother and sister tackled Nala to the ground. This gave Kiara and Chafu a chance to help subdue her. But the enraged creamy coated lioness wasn't about to go down that easily.

"I'll kill everyone of you!" she roared, throwing the jackal pups off her and hitting them hard in their faces. "But first I'm going to kill you three!" Nala whipped her head towards Chafu, Safara and Nyeusi.

"No!" the other cubs cried out as they raced to help their friends. But unfortunately for them Reirei and Goigoi's pups came flying in taking them to the ground.

"Not so fast there!" the oldest pup, Dogo hissed as he and his five siblings prevented them from helping Chafu, Safara and Nyeusi.

"You ain't going' anywhere," another pup hissed.

"And now," Nala growled, striking the terrified cubs in their faces over and over again. "You die!" With that Nala raised her paw to slash the cubs' throat. But just then Tama and Sharka came flying in and tackled Nala to the ground once again.

"What the Hell are you doing?!" Nala snarled, as she tried to shove the lionesses off of her.

"We won't allow you to kill our cubs!" Tama snarled as she struck Nala in the face.

"We should have done this long ago!" Sharka growled as she too hit Nala in her face. "But we were so stupid and we let our loyalty and friendship with you blind us! Well no more!"

"Oh so now you care?!" Kion hissed as he threw Kopa and Kiara off of him. "That's a bunch of bull shit! You two don't give a damn about them!" Kopa nodded towards Safara, Chafu, and Nyeusi when he said this part. "If you really cared then you would have listened to my grandmother long ago! But instead you killed her! That makes you a murderer just like my mother!" Tama and Sharka's eyes went wide as Kion's words sank in. An evil grin went across Kion's face as he realized his plan of distracting the two lionesses had worked. Before anyone could react Kion attacked, aiming directly for Nyeusi. The brown coated cub succeeded in taking the black coated cub and he quickly pinned her to the ground and bit her throat wide opened.

"No!" the group cried out, their eyes wide with horror.

"My baby!" Sharka wailed, running over to her daughter.

"Nyeusi!" Chafu cried out. "No! I'll kill you!" With that the enraged grey coated cub tackled Kion, taking the younger cub to the ground and hitting him over and over again. Nala went to help her son but Tama wasn't about to let that happen and she along with Kiara, Kovu and Jasiri pinned her down. By now Simba had made his way towards the cubs after Reirei and Goigoi had retreated after realizing they were on the losing end of the fight.

"Get the Hell off of me!" Kion cried out as he tried to shove Chafu off of him. But seeing as though Chafu was a year old compared to Kion's eight months Kion was unable to do so.

"Get away from him!" Nala roared, going over to help her son. But Simba intercepted and tackled the creamy lioness to the ground. By now Fauti and Kuato had arrived on the scene along with Zira.

"Its over Nala," Zira hissed as Nala struggled against Simba's weight. "Your pride has surrendered. You've lost." Nala looked around as she saw that Nala was right. But that wasn't going to stop her. An idea came to her.

"You're right Zira," Nala said surprising everyone. "I know when I've been beat. And I've been beat."

"Mother you can't be serious!" Kion cried out, looking at his mother with wide green eyes.

"Yes Kion I am serious," Nala lied, looking at her son. "There's no sense in us losing our lives over this. Is there Simba?" Nala looked up at her former friend, who was giving her a skeptical look.

"I suppose you're right," Simba said after a minute. "There's really no..." But to his surprise Nala let out a roar of fury and hit Simba hard in his face, sending him to the ground.

"You really are a fool Simba," Nala said as she hit Simba again and again. Kion used this distraction to his advantage and broke free and went to help his mother,

"We'll kill you together!" Kion snarled as he advanced towards Nala and Simba.

"No!" Nuka and Vitani cried out as they jumped in front of Kion and Nala, taking the full blow and falling to the ground unconsious.
