Hello beautiful readers! I just wanted to say thank you for reading and having the patience with my sporadic updates. To each one of you, I want to say, that I am glad you enjoy the story and keep up with those comments. It gives me inspiration. We are going to pretend you don't age when you time travel. I know it goes against the actual laws of time travel etc. But for the sake of this story she doesn't age. She is over 18 so please don't be weirded out by the age gap once she hits present time, or even now. Thank you again for being those lovely humans you are!

Hermione was right, like anyone had a doubt. She did stay for the important moments, like when Carlisle became even a more prominent doctor with a head title, or getting Edward a piano for Christmas. The potioned made sure she stuck around without jumping quickly from one time to the next when the more pivotal points where being made, even if she didn't know they were being created. She just know that she was to stay here and become more bonded with her soulmate and anyone else who would be in their family.

She quickly became a mother to Edward, with her passion but empathy and calmness about her. She truly had mellowed out after the war, after all what was an exam in comparison to all the life she tried and saved. She had not lost her humanity, even after being forced to kill, and steal and survive a war. In fact, Edward needed to be reminded that humanity is how you act not exactly if your heart beats. Hermione had flashbacks of rubbing Harry's back when he had his nightmares, or offering Ron a cup of tea with cookies to calm him from his regret of leaving them in the forest. She would calm Ginny down from the night terrors of living in the castle with death eaters roaming the halls. Her heart would break but she would be the strong one for George who missed his brother. So she understood the guilt and the doubt that Edward felt and used her experiences to really push him into thinking and not just the self hate.

Hermione was there to witness Edward's rebellion as his thirst of blood drove him to leave in 1927 from the house, she now considered home. She stood as a pillar for Carlisle who felt like he had failed his son. But she was there to reassure him that he didn't, but only that Edward needed to sort things out for himself.

"Carlisle, darling, you know he has always struggled with his undeath." Hermione patiently would retell him over and over.

"I know, but I am the one who caused it…" Carlisle would argue back, his face full of anguish.

Hermione gave a disapproved look and launched into the well rehearsed speech on how Edward was a grown man. She declared that even if he was making his own decisions, she had faith in him to make the right choices. They would just have to trust him and hope that in the end he finds what he wants in life. She silently prayed that Edward would make the choices and that their conversations wouldn't be lost on the young vampire.

Then one night there was a knock on the door, as Edward stood standing in the doorway, looking more confident. Hermione was there to witness Edwards return as he came crawling back begging for forgiveness from Carlisle and her. She just stood in front of him, her short figure seemed to be miniseule to his tall shadow, her arms held out wide for a hug. He dropped down to his knees and hugged her. She could tell that if he was still human he would be crying tears nonstop. Carlisle joined the hug and just kept whispering to Edward that he was glad he was back.

The next morning Hermione was in the kitchen cooking with a wand, and whistling a jolly tune as Edward was safe and sound. She sat down with her food and Carlisle joined for his "breakfast" of some blood he had collected from a deer when he had gone "hunting". Edward came down almost sheepishly and bid them good morning. Hermione smiled and asked how he was. He broke down emotionally and she could see it in his face, his anger, sadness and love was easily readable. He talked about his time outside of the house, and what he had done. He expected to be turned out and told that he truly was a monster with no humanity. But firmly, Hermione and Carlisle dismissed the negative thoughts. Hermione's speech was now heard from everyone in the family about growth, love, and what emotions makes you more human than you think, even if you don't have a beating heart. She finished it by telling him that she loved him like a son, so if he acted out again and decided to be foolish again she would turn him into a ferret for a week. She stayed another 3 months, almost as if to make sure things turned back to normal and became smoother each week. Then she was cuddling with Carlisle in the morning and felt herself start to dissapear. Giving him one last kiss and a quick, "tell Edward, I'll see him in a few years," she vanished.
