Still, mention of violence and rape. Be careful reading. Nothing graphic though.

Hermione opened the door to Carlisle with a woman in his arms. A gasp fell out of her mouth and she quickly ushered him in. He used his fast speed to rush Rosalie upstairs and onto the bed. Hermione apparated into the room, just in time to watch him turn her. The ordeal was over till she awoke, but Carlisle's head fell and his shoulders slumped. With a cracked voice full of emotion he exclaimed that he couldn't leave her to die.

"Hermione, what happened to her, it was horrible. I couldn't leave her. Not after every fiber of my once humanity called for me to save her."

"I will never doubt you, my love, I am sure you did the right thing. She must have gone through some horrific trauma."

"A group of men, drunk men, walking away from her. I could smell her blood. You can see the bruises, but she is also bleeding between her legs."

"I am glad you saved her, she will have hopefully have a better afterlife."

Carlisle looked relieved, and then paused, he said thoughtfully about mentioned Edward getting a mate. Hermione just smiled at his romantic side but shook her head, exclaiming that it is both their decisions and Rosalie would need time to heal. Carlisle had the decency to look sheepish and agree right away. He mentioned that having her here would be a danger. New vampires thirst for blood and Hermione happened to be full of it.

"Not to worry my love, I'll make sure to stay out of her way so that you may feed. Then I'll be back to help her and you out."

Carlisle looked doubtful, but he had yet to mistrust her so he just nodded.

Hermione looked at the clock on the wall and said that Edward would be home soon from New Jersey hunting.

Carlisle stayed up in the room while Hermione went downstairs to wait for Edward.

She didn't have to wait long as he showed up with a puzzled look.

He gave a look that she interpreted as why there was another heartbeat in the house. She just beckoned him into the kitchen to break the news. Carlisle came down into the kitchen, wrapping his arm around Hermione's waist. They broke the news to him that his father saved another person. Hermione was proud of how Edward took it, as he was compassionate and empathetic towards the situation and Carlisle's decision. She smiled at him and explained that she wouldn't be there when Rosalie woke up but she wouldn't leave them unless the time travel forced her to.

Rosalie didn't wake up till much later and by that time Edward had read her mind as she was waking up ravenous. Carlisle practically shoved Hermione outside of the house in order to protect her. Edward wasn't much better as he didn't want his all but blood mother to become a snack.

Hermione apparated away from the house to go explore the American Wizarding world. New York had changed due to the disturbances in 1926 that threatened the wizarding world of being exposed. Through the help of British Magizoologist Newton Scamander, with the assistance of Tina and Queenie Goldstein, and No-Maj Jacob Kowalski, the situation was controlled. She had only read a passing book on the subject as it was not in the UK but knew enough to understand the situation. Hermione bought some supplies and some other treats for the house like pumpkin juice and a cauldron to store at the house.

Hermione didn't dare return until 5 hours later when she cautiously apparated back to the alley near the house. She knocked on the door, wand up her sleeve if needed, she wasn't timid but Alastor was back in her head shouting "Constant Vigilance!" again.

Carlisle opened the door, looking a bit weary, even if he didn't actually get physically tired. But he nodded her into the house. She smiled a bit more relaxed, stepped into the house.

Carlisle murmured into her ear "Rosalie is fed, and now accepting her new situation. We explained that you live here and we will have her constantly fed until she got used to being a vampire. Edward and I discussed it and we want to make sure she doesn't want your blood so that you will stay safe." Hermione nodded and asked where she was so that they could properly meet.

Rosalie stepped into the parlor from coming downstairs, she could easily now hear their conversations even if it was whispered. Hermione actually let an audible gasp come through. "Oh, Rosalie, you are beautiful. Putting Aphrodite to shame. My name is Hermione Granger, a pleasure to meet you."

"Hello, you obviously know who I am. But thank you for the compliment. It was sweet of you."

Hermione understood Rosalie even more than she thought she would. She saw Fleur's beauty and Lavender Brown's confidence. But she also saw a glimmer of her friends' post-war and their understanding that the world can be cruel but beauty is within too. The trauma suffered exposes something in the eyes, not that they are broken but the strength and resilience in them. So, Hermione made sure she would let Rosalie come to terms of what happened but realize her beauty isn't just her appearance.

Hermione and Rosalie bonded being two of the women in the household. Even if the beginning was a little rough for a transition, the family began to be put together and really form. Hermione made sure to lay out the new world Rosalie lived in with detailed explanation from witches and her magic to anything she could remember about vampires. Edward and Carlisle filled in the other bits she couldn't.

Rosalie would be recognizable so Hermione glamoured her so it wouldn't be as evident. Even though what happened was kept quiet by her ex-fiance as he didn't want to expose himself as the reason his beautiful-would be bride was "missing". New York knew she should be found, or at least a body identified. But nothing came from the searches. Rosalie one night asked for the glamour to be removed so she could take care of business. Then she hunted down the men that did that horrible memory etched into her brain, one by one. Roger was the last victim and she made sure he paid dearly. But to her own strength, she did not feed on them. That was the day Rosalie found that she did have the strength and with that, she felt beautiful inside and out.

Hermione and the now Cullen Family grew closer together and felt a deep closeness to each other. The model of Carlisle being the father, Hermione being the mother fit into the four. Edward and Rosalie only felt the love that was a sibling bond which disproved Carlisle's theory. Hermione felt into a routine with the family and in return, they loved and accepted her even more than she could imagine. Then one morning she woke up to herself disappearing and quickly said her goodbyes, knowing the vampires would hear them.
