A few weeks have passed since everyone felt more accepted than ever into one big family. Carlisle still went to work every day saving lives. Rosaline had been planning the wedding with Alice. Jasper went hunting often to keep his hunger fed so he wouldn't be even remotely tempted by Hermione's blood. Emmet chose to research more on surprising Rosaline with a vacation like he said he was going to give her when Alice and Jasper showed up. Edward was getting a bit antsy again but was still around playing the piano and he reread the books in the public library. Hermione was drifting along with the family, managing finances, and keeping notes on her impact of going through time travel for such a long time. She didn't age due to not being in her time, she wasn't able to change anything that didn't affect her soulmate mission. She had tried to just as an experiment with talking someone out of a suicide attempt. But when she looked back at the archives of the obituaries, they still died on that day in the manner she had talked them out of. So she was kind of glad that Voldemort supporters couldn't attempt to go back in time and mess up what they had going for them.
The wedding day was approaching, they went out and bought an arch for the garden outlooking the lake on the grounds. The boys had gone out the day before and set up all the flowers. They brought in a human priest for this event to say their vows and sign the marriage license. Jasper and Alice opted to not have a wedding party because that would leave no one in the chairs. They joked that if they renewed their vows every hundred years then the family could be in it. Emmet claimed he wanted to be the ring bearer but was turned down with a witty joke from Edward that he would lose the rings. Carlisle was walking Alice down the aisle.
On the day of the wedding, Hermione had gotten a photographer to take pictures so she could have a collection of pictures from both Rosaline and Alice's wedding. Alice got ready with Rosaline and Hermione checked on how the men were faring. After trying a few ties and wiping her eyes she was ready for the wedding to happen.
Carlisle walked her down the aisle and gave her away to Jasper standing tall and proud. He couldn't take his eyes off of his beautiful bride. The grinning of shiny teeth practically outshone the flash of the camera. Hermione watched as the vows were spoken, they had written their own.
"I, Jasper Hale, take you Alice Cullen as my beautiful stunning wonderful bride. You taught me to hope and joy in ways I couldn't imagine. I will love you for the end of time. I will strive to be the best I can be for you. You complete me and I feel whole again. You make me better and I love you. I knew from Texas that I was missing something, and meeting you at the diner was the best thing that happened in my existence. I hope I can make you as happy as you make me." Jasper announced.
"I, Alice Cullen, knew that you were right for me as soon as I saw it. I know we are soulmates and not a lot of people can say that. You ground me but also lift me up and support me. You never wavered from my side and I thank you for that. I will be by your side forever. I see a bright future ahead of us and I can't wait to start on that path with you. We have done so much together it could be considered lifetimes. I hope we have lifetimes more of a time of happiness together. I can't wait to take you as my husband. I love you." Alice responded.
"Well, that was beautiful. I hope that you have so much happiness too. I pronounce you husband and wife." the priest said.
Jasper leaned in and swooped Alice up to kiss her. They went down the aisle hand in hand.
The family cheered from the seating and threw rice at the happy couple. The photographer was clicking away. The party went to the house and played music with food for Hermione out but enough to convince the photographer that everyone ate.
The slow dance started and music played. Alice leaned on Jasper's shoulder. She smiled at him and they slowly danced, swaying here and there. It was as perfect as she saw it. Jasper couldn't believe he was married. He looked at her and felt love, pure love, and happiness and knew he made the right call to join her. "I love you." He whispered. Alice didn't have to say it but she responded: "Love you more."
Hermione and Carlisle were hooked in each other's arms. Rosaline and Emmet were gently swaying too on the sidelines. Edward smiled at the beautiful scene, he was glad for his new siblings. Once the song ended, Carlisle cut in and danced the Father and Daughter dance while Hermione waltzed around with Jasper for the Mother and Son dance. The photographer got pictures of that. Edward grabbed Rosaline and danced with her, a beautiful tango that had them swirling around the living room. Emmet just smiled on, he chose to dance with Alice once Carlisle's dance was done. Carlisle and Hermione got a dance together. Leaning close together with their slow dance around the room the two savored the moment of having an amazing evening together.
The photographer told them he could have the photos developed in 3 days' time and left. Hermione thanked him and off he went. She had asked if he could mail the letters to a P.O box that she could pick them up so no need to worry about having to go into town for them.
Jasper and Alice were going to a private island that Carlisle had bought back in the 1920s that had a cabin with appliances, electricity and running water he had installed over the years. They had been packed and had a plane trip headed out at 12 am so they were going to hurry to the airport with a quick change from their wedding clothes.
Rosaline and Emmet were booked to leave in 2 days for their Paris trip. Rosaline's jealousy was long gone but Emmet still insisted they should take a week in the land of love. Edward, feeling a bit restless, said he was going to take a solo trip around Chicago to look around his old haunting grounds in 4 days. Hermione and Carlisle were going to be home till she left the next time so it would be a good chance to go on some dates without the kids.
The next couple of days were a blur as the house emptied of kids. Carlisle took a few of his vacation days off to spend time with Hermione once everyone had gone.
