Hermione spent the next day with the family. Rosalie and Emmett moved into the house next door and Alice and Jasper had moved to Rosalie and Emmett's old place. Edward remained with Carlisle and Hermione but would go off and explore London when he got antsy.

They had a family dinner full of stag and fox on the table, a roast dinner fully cooked for Hermione. Family conversation started with the usual asking what they did for the day and how work was. Rosalie worked at the local dress store, Alice worked at a cafe and Jasper worked in a music shop, Emmett worked at a food stall and Edward was a music tutor. Hermione had not taken a job in slight fear that she would disappear from the timeline and jump to another era.

"How was work today?"

"You know if I knew that women would be wearing what they wear now I feel like I would have been shocked. But you gave me a bit of an insight on what people wear so it isn't so much of a culture shock. Even as I saw it progress with my own eyes, it still boggles my mind sometimes." Rosalie commented.

Emmett joked that he liked the changes, it only added to his wife's beauty. She smiled at him, truly she lucked out in this life. Jasper chuckled and said that the music was not to his taste at all and he didn't like some of the music but he found Neil Diamond. Hermione smiled and said she loved most music and named a few bands from the wizarding world and a few from the muggle one. Edward disagreed on some of her taste but commended her on the choice of wizarding music. She had shown him one night what that music sounded like. Hermione smiled at the family as they discussed their day.

Alice asked what kind of day Hermione had. "Well I went and gardened a few things and then stopped by the Tomes and Scrolls, and popped by the muggle book store. But I have a feeling that I might be leaving soon. Not sure if the potion will deem the children's 7th year to be important since I can't join the Order or really do anything to has the pictures of his parent's wedding so I feel content enough that I could go further in time."

"Well I want to know how you were as a kid Mum." Edward stated cheekily.

"I was a perfect kid. Very little to report."She said with a smile.

"Righttttt." Jasper teased, "I recall you set a professor's robes on fire...and you went into the Forbidden Forest. It has the word forbidden in its name."

Alice came to Hermione's defense. "I mean Umbidge deserved it...so."

Everyone reflected on that one and at once acknowledged the fact that the horrible woman deserved it.

She smiled at them as dinner conversation took a lull. Everyone had eaten and it was her bed time. Carlisle scooted her chair out for her and helped her up, sweeping her up into his arms. Hermione giggled and laughed as he spun with her still in his arms. "Off we go, my love. It is definitely late and you deserve your beauty rest, even if it can't do anything for you. You are beautiful and can't get any more gorgeous." Her eyes said it all as they sparkled and her joy radiated as he swished her up to their bedroom. She bid everyone good night as she left them in the dust that her voice practically trailed off.

Carlisle placed her down on her feet and kissed her on the lips. She felt the sweet sincerity of her soulmate through the connection their lips made.

Her arms draped down upon him running down his chest. "I love you."

"I love you too." Carlisle whispered in her ear. "It's late and the children are home…" He's hands grazed her body lightly, teasing almost.

"I could do a silent charm...but you are right...I am tired. Maybe tomorrow love." Hermione grinned. She kissed him on the lips once more. He leaned down resting his forehead on hers and then kissed her forehead. She grabbed her nightgown and threw it on while Carlisle appreciated his view.

She fell asleep in his cold arms with a heavy blanket on cuddling.

Hermione woke up with Carlisle still next to her the next morning. Surprised but delighted she rolled over to face him. "I have night shift. So I don't have to go in right away." She smiled at him and snuggled closer.

"What about we do a picnic?"

"That sounds lovely. Let me get ready and we can go hike someplace with the basket for me." Hermione said as she started getting up. He pulled her back in bed. "Sounds like a good plan. But I just want to cuddle right now. Then we can get our day going."

Hermione giggled and agreed. "Alright as long as we are out of bed by ten."

Carlisle brushed his cold hand across her face to brush her wild mane out of the way. Hermione's eyes shone as she watched him. She leaned in and gave him a light kiss. He kissed her back and pulled her close breathing in her shampoo. They stayed like that for at least 20 minutes. Just relaxing together and enjoying each other's company when there was a knock on the door.

Carlisle sighed and looked up towards the door. Hermione looked at Carlisle and gave him a quick kiss before getting up and going to the door.

She opened it and saw that Emmett was outside. "Hey Mom."

He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively. "Whatcha doing."

Hermione laughed and shook her head. "What do you want love?"

"There are some people on our property with wands. I mean they look similar to what you own in their hands. But they are wearing masks and have all black on. I'm not sure what to do."

Hermione frowned. Looking at him, she knew he was being serious. She quickly threw on her dressing robe and put her wand up her sleeve ready to be accessible at any point. Tiptoeing towards the door she looked through the peephole. She didn't see anyone but trusted Emmett. She told everyone to get into the house in a whisper. Her voice carried to the voices of the other vampires outside in the backyard. They immediately dropped what they were doing and flanked Hermione by the door. Hermione nodded looking as she saw her family. Then she saw the people in the fields. She swore. "Bloody hell. They don't know that this property is owned."

A young woman with a blindfold on and her wrists and knees bind was thrown to the ground by them. Hermione didn't need to have vampire ears to know she was probably crying and pleading for her life. The people looked around the house, but because Hermione had so many protections on it, they wouldn't see anything, just more field for the eye to see. She had perfected them during her time at war that it was untraceable and unplottable with the distinction of what the intention of the passersby saw was based on what they wanted to see.

Hermione swore again. "Fucking deatheaters. They are slowly building reputation. This might be an initiation rather than a way for them to boast. I'll bet a gallon that the poor girl is a muggle."

Edward looked horrified. "Their thoughts, they are are completely evil. They want to torture her. We have to do something!"

Jasper had flashbacks of peer terror going through him until he felt like he was back in the vampire war and having to feel their pain. "Please...Hermione. I don't know what. But we have to stop it."

Hermione nodded. "I know."

Carlisle was worried. "Be safe. I'll get my medical kit." He knew he wouldn't change her mind, but frankly he wouldn't want to.

Hermione nodded again. "Not like they need to live but God knows it might screw up the entire timeline if we don't try to keep the scum alive. But this is still a rescue mission first."

Rosalie asked if there was anything she could do to help.

Hermione was full commander mode. "I need you to try and extract her. Pick her up and fly back here without them seeing. I will distract them. I need to stun them and memory charm them."

She opened the door and while she stepped through the doorway, she had transformed into the fighting outfit and her mane was thrown in a tight bun. And they were all out the door.

There were four death eaters and they had one victim. She gave a look at her family, and nodded once. Jasper took the right side, Hermione was at the left, Rosalie was near Jasper's left side so she could grab the girl before the death eaters started raising their wands. Emmett was headed in the center, he would try to do a tackle method head on while wearing a shield that Hermione charmed for him.

As they got closer Hermione started throwing up anti-appariation spells. She wanted to make sure they wouldn't have a chance to get away. She didn't want them remembering her or her family at all.

She signaled them once and in a fluid of motion the family went into action. Rosalie went for the girl, she was barely visible to the human eye. She was only caught when the death eater saw the girl suddenly hoisted and "disappear". But since she was a muggle he was confused which got everyone else's senses heightened. A flash was next to them and Emmett knocked a guy out by going full force and knocking into them. Hermione started throwing hexes and jinks at them in rapid fire. Jasper was able to take out one by surprising him with a bit inhuman strength of a upper cut without truly doing irreversible work. Alice was taking on the other one when she just got caught by the Crucio curse.

"Alice!" Jasper yelled but he too felt the pain and couldn't get past it. They both fell to the floor.

"Aww itty bitty family trying to be heroes." A voice sneered. Hermione didn't recognize the death eater. In fact she didn't recognize any of them so she figured they might be lower lever and never made it to the inner circle. But at that moment Hermione didn't care one bit.

"Not my daughter you bitch!" She shouted and casted stupefy! The woman casted the Avada Kedarva. Hermione shouted the lockeleg spell and before the death eater had time to whisper the counter curse Carlisle knocked her out.

Hermione rushed over to Alice. "Are you okay love. I am so sorry."

Alice nodded. She took Jasper's hand and asked "Are you okay?" He only shook his head and held her close. With her eyes still closed Alice said "it's not bad. It reminded me of the hospital." Then she picked Jasper up and carried him like a bride home. Hermione and Carlisle walked quickly back because their guest was in the living room. Emmett walked with his parents still processing what had just happened. The bodies of the death waters were being carried by him. Hermione told him to set them down in the lobby. She made quick work of the memory charm and shudder internally of how good she was at them now. Then portkeyed them to the nearest wizarding town. But before she had changed it she let Jasper kick the one who tortured his Alice. Not enough to break a bone but to feel the bruise.

She made memory charms for the muggle in their living room so she wouldn't have trauma, and with doctor's advice implanted as if recent memory had created the sure arms and cuts she might have. Then she sent her home by looking at someone to live in the area. And finally she sat down with the rest of the family. "So probably rain check the picnic. "I love you all and thank you for support." With that she disappeared into the future.
