Hermione yawned as she woken up on the planet the family decided to jet off to France in hopes of feeling less anxious about the stranger in the woods.
The people on the plane were still sleeping. Her family was up quietly talking to each other. Thankfully, the luxury of first class meant not everyone was squished together and being gawked at. Hermione looked to her side, Carlisle was sitting to her right.
"Good morning my beautiful."
"Morning my love, how much longer in the air?"
"About an hour till landing. It's been a long flight and even though my body doesn't feel the need to move, my human instinct is to get up and stretch."
Hermione chuckled softly. "If you do I'll get up to do some stretches too. While I'm well rested, I am cramped."
He and Hermione got up to do some light stretches. As they just finished the flight attendant walked up to them asking if they would like a beverage. Hermione asked for some tea. Once it was delivered to her and she took a sip, she grimaced. "Certainly not like English tea."
Carlisle just laughed. He was counting the seconds till they landed and he could set the plans of engagement into motion. He and the children had modified their plans to fit their unexpected trip to France.
The pilot announced that the plane was to land and the passengers had to buckle up again.
Hermione looked out the window to see the rolling landscape as the puffy clouds were slowly shrinking.
The family deboarded and walked down to get their luggage. It looked as if their beauty in France almost helped them blend in. Everyone was so chic and breathtaking. However, the Cullen's still out glimmered the rest by a hair as they looked untouchable by the tears of life.
Alice spotted her suitcase first. She assessed the area in hopes of seeing the rest of the family's baggage. She knew Rosalie would want to go explore the newest fashion trends. Privately Alice thought Rosalie probably should have packed another empty suitcase.
Edward had already grabbed Hermione and his own bag. The rest of the family snatched their own bags. Carlisle looked for a cab outside to hail for the family to be taken to a hotel. He found one and asked to be taken to Cluny.
After a small ride towards the countryside the cab stopped and helped the passengers out.
"Bonjour madame, je I would like to set up a hotel room for 7 people, 4 of your best rooms please. "
"Oui and would you like room service or car rental?"
"Oui, I need two cars for the next 2 weeks."
Ah that can be arranged. Room 103, 105, 112 and 210. Will that be all sir? There is breakfast in the morning starting at 6:00 am to 10 am. The pool is currently open for patrons at 10:30-14:00.
Yes. Thank you very much. Carlisle guided his family towards the elevators as they received their room key.
Let me know if you need anything, charge it to the room." He explained.
Hermione had grabbed a map around the lobby and examined some green areas. La Fort De La Joux has chamois, or mountain goat and wild boar," she listed to the group. They all nodded, they could hunt and be satisfied for a while. Jasper was the exception but Hermione still had a stack of blood pops in her purse he could have.
The morning was still occurring, so while the Cullens did have a glamour so they didn't shine as much, they still preferred being in areas less populated. Alice and Rose grabbed the first car to ride off towards the small main street the town had so they could peek at the new fashion trends being sold in town. Edward went up to the hotel's library to read. Emmet and Jasper went to check out the forest. Hermione sat her things down then, Carlisle swept her off her feet. Smothering her with kisses. " I love you" Hermione teased, "I'm beginning to like you."
He had the light bounce off his eyes as a slight evil grin clouded his face and he began to tickle her. She started to laugh, wiggling with all her might to get out of his grasp. He was relentless until she said between bouts of gasps and wheezing that she loved him.
Content he laid her back down. And stroked her beautiful face to the wild waves of her hair. He peppered her with kisses once more and then asked what she wanted to do today.
She bit her lip. He loved when she did that. It distracted him, he almost didn't hear her say house hunting was top priority. He just nodded along. Hermione pointed out she couldn't run into the Delacours as it might affect the future, but then contradicted herself by announcing it wouldn't be hard, they have a whole country, not every French person knew each other.
