Love From OQ!

The Vault scene, more or less. Canon was preferred but also that our ship end up together. Tis a short scene but I hope you enjoy!

Skin on skin. Lips on lips. Chest to chest. Friction so good it leaves a burning sensation, begging for build up, the crescendo and then, the release. She wants, she needs, she feels that maybe this is selfish, what she's doing, what they're doing. A pang of guilt stabs at her heart. An utter betrayal of her words that she tried and failed to believe in her heart. Oh well, it takes two, doesn't it? From the looks of things she isn't the only one in deep. He's buried deep, up to the hilt inside her and she tries to take more, never wanting it to end. She tried, oh how she tried, but he came to her, came in her. He was the one who violated her sacred space. The space she hides herself away in when she wants to be left alone. The space she seeks comfort in because here is where she can be what she is good at and no one will judge her harshly. Despite all the do-gooding her little do-gooder family does, sometimes it is worthwhile to have someone willing to do the dirty work. And this is dirty work. A different type of dirty work, the feel good kind. Right now she's just trying to live in the moment because when all is said and done, when it all comes to an end, she wants to remember this moment. A moment with him that she never thought she'd get to have.

They'd been close before. A romantic picnic in her office - their first date with no distractions. They confessed many things to each other and she just knew that her relationship with him was something entirely different. With Daniel there was an innocent love. Never in a million years did she think she could love anyone as much as she loved Daniel and it was that singular thought that fueled her every action after his murder. Sure, she begrudgingly married Leopold hoping being close to Snow White she could make the girl's life miserable in hopes that it would bring her solace, but her kind heart often left her scrambling for ways to create misery. That was until him, Rumplestiltskin. The evil man who planted seeds inside her head and then watered them until she grew out of control, a monster in her own right. Sometimes she wouldn't recognize herself in the mirror, but by then she thought, in for a penny, in for a pound.

And then there was Tinkerbell. After running out of options and wrestling with the decision to fully commit to being Rumplestiltskin's apprentice that damnable fairy had to show up. Forsooth she hadn't intended to fall off her balcony and sure she was afraid of what might happen if she survived the fall, but for the briefest of moments she welcomed the sweet embrace of death. Yes Tinkerbell saved her life and for a few hours provided a distraction. They talked of many things, as if they were old, lost friends catching up on a lifetime of memories. It was a first; Cora never really allowed Regina a normal childhood filled with friends and imaginations run wild. How could Regina be a proper lady at court if her head was filled with silly notions of love? Her conversation with Tinkerbell felt easy and comfortable and when Tinkerbell suggested all Regina needed in life was love, well, who was she to argue? True, she did want love, needed to feel loved - the greatest gift. And she even let herself believe a fairy could give it to her with no effort on her part. Just like magic. They followed the pixie dust to the tavern and alight it did her soulmate. So why was she afraid to enter the tavern and claim what Fates had decided was hers? She couldn't. She couldn't do what she's doing now, betraying some sacred vow she made to Daniel, long gone now. But that was before Dr. Whale brought Daniel back to life, a shell of his former being but enough love in his heart for Regina to do what she could never do - give her permission to move on and find love again.

When she put her mind to it, when she looked around Storybrook she found she could not find love in that tiny town of her creation. Afterall, the only person she needed to love in life and love her in return was Henry. How devastated she was when she had to pay the price of Pan's curse. Her ultimate sacrifice of letting Henry go so that he might live. She was certain her heart could never feel as empty as it did right then.

Whisked away to the Enchanted Forest once more, alone once more. The thief Robin Hood was there and little did she know back then how intertwined their fates were. If she had known then what she knew now, would she have had the courage to take a chance on love? He was damn near insufferable - matching her tit for tat and on some level that excited her and yet somehow made her more vicious with each verbal attack. Somehow he didn't mind, dare she say he even enjoyed it? Now she knew why.

Splitting Snow White's heart so that she and David could beat as one was one of the most selfless things she'd ever witnessed and in that brief moment when the curse overtook them Regina wondered if she could have that kind of love.

He found her. Caught her by surprise chasing flying monkeys and clues; they worked well together, somehow they just clicked. Everything just felt at ease. He cared for her and then she saw that ill-fated tattoo and suddenly the world was upon her. She couldn't breathe. The abandoned farmhouse seemed full and suffocating. For the second time she ran away from her fate.

And somehow he still found her. Keeping her heart safe until he couldn't, but still trying his damndest to be the protector of her heart. Trying his damndest to be her heart, their heart. Suddenly she realized this with him, what she was jealous of with Snow White and David; what she longed for all those years ago with Daniel - this was it. What she searched her entire life for and she wasn't going to let it slip through her fingers once more. She went to him, claimed his lips with hers.

Like he's claiming her lips with his right now. His kisses lighting a fire down her taught belly until he presses gentle kisses to other lips. Lips swollen with want and need, pulsing for attention. He can read her without words. He dives right in and she tries her best to muffle her screams. A gasp escapes her lips as he clamps down, sucking and licking and pinning her down as she tries to escape his ministrations. She wants it all at once and yet she doesn't want it to end.

Tears make their way to the corners of her eyes and spill as he makes his way back up her body. His lips now tracing a path from that spot behind her ear down to her jawline. She moves her head and captures his lips with hers, choking on a sob and she prays he doesn't notice.

"Regina?" he whispers into the darkness.

She stills in his arms. "Regina? Are you alright?"

She sniffles and suddenly the tears have broken the damn. "I'm sorry, gods I'm so sorry." He abruptly stops, pulling himself from atop her body and she immediately misses his warmth, his stupid forest scent that makes her all wistful.

Sitting up with him, she manages to stop the tears from flowing and guides him back to her. She attempts to kiss him, to bring them back to where they were, but he's pulling away.

They hold each other's heads in their hands, forehead to forehead.

"Hey, it's okay, it's alright" she whispers.

"I've gone and cocked this up, haven't I?"

She laughs, a wet laugh, sniffling once more.

"Your damn honor."

"I don't want to think about that now. Do you want to think about that?"

She shakes her head.

"What do you want?"

"I want you." She leans in to capture his lips and this time he doesn't pull away.

"Then it is me you shall have. Don't think, just let your heart feel."

"I can't let my heart feel."

"Why? What does it feel?"

"It feels...it feels conflicted."

"I don't think it feels conflicted. I think it knows exactly what it wants."

"But we can't have that."

"I know this is a great big mess, but I promise we will figure it out, together. Understand?"

She mulls it over for a moment and acquiesces. He resumes his kisses, gentle and loving and tender and as he slips himself inside her, she gives herself completely; allowing herself to have this moment with him and leave the consequences for the morning.
