My summer with you
An: this is my first story on Julie and the phantoms as I have just become obsessed with this show. This story is about Julie going to her usually summer place that her mom's best friend owns. Her mom's best friend is Emily who is Luke's mom. So, there are no ghosts in this story. And Julie is sixteen while the boys are seventeen. i have also posted this on my wattpad acount
"Come on Julie we have to go Emily is wating." Mom called up to me. you are probably wondering who Emily is. Well, she is my mom's best friends since collage. And every year when summer arrives, we have to go to there summer house. And this year is no different and I actually don't care I love to visit Aunt Emily. So that is why I am up in my bedroom packing for the summer and trying to remember if there is something I have forgotten. Hopefully I have everything I need. "coming mom." I called and walked downstairs with my backpack and suitcase.
In the hallway is my parents and little brother Carlos wating for me. "are you ready for the best summer eyer." Carols asks me as we walked over to the car. "of course, I am. I have all these things planned out like going to the beach and reading by the pool. And what have you planned." I asked as I sat in the backseat with him next to me. "I was thinking about visiting the zoo with Reggie or going to the beach with Alex." Carlos said. right, I should probably tell you a little about Alex and Reggie. They are both best friends with Emily's son Luke they are always invited to the summer house and have been ever since we were little kids. They are both super nice and always likes to include both me and Carlos in there summer plans just like Luke likes to do. Luke on the other hand is always nice to Carlos but can be a little hard on me at times.
Most of the ride to the summer house we spent talking about the summer house and old memories from the place. Like when Carlos first got to go. He of course didn't remember most of that day, so we had to tell him the story.
Julie age eleven, Carlos's age six.
"so are you excited to visit Aunt Emily." I asked my little brother on our way up to the summer house. Usually, he has to stay home with my dad who usually have too much work to when the summer arrives. And my parents seem to think that Carlos is to young to visit the beach but this year he will be there for two weeks. Well, the two first weeks and I can be there the whole summer with my mom. "yes, I have heard a lot about her, and I miss her." Carlos said. Of course, he had met the Paterson's a lot as our mom is best friends with Emily. "as do I. but remember it won't just Emily and her husband. But Luke and his two best friends will also be there." I told him. "I like Luke he always shares his candy with me when I see him at Halloween." Carlos said. "good well his friends Reggie and Alex are the same way." I explained. He nodded and continued to play on his tablet.
"we should arrive in two minutes." Mom said pulled me out of the memory. "should we text them and tell them we are here." I asked as I took out my phone. "sure, do that." dad said. I nodded and quickly looked for Emily's number.
From Julie to Emily.
We are outside in a minute or so.
And right then the car stopped, and I smiled as I saw the summer house. I have always loved going here every year I looks forwards to go back. Mostly to see the house and Emily again and I guess Luke and the guys as well. I stepped out of the car just as I saw Reggie and Alex going out of the house. "either you forgot to text us again or you dad forgot to text us on time." Alex said as he and Reggie walked up to us. "to be fair I did text Emily as we pulled inside. But then again, my mom did say it would take two minutes." I said as I got closer to them. The looked well I still can't believe it have been a year since I last saw them. But they still look the same. Reggie with his black hair that won't stop covering his eyes even though he keeps pulling it back. And Alex with his blond hair which I think he might have cut shorted, but like Reggie's it can't stop being in his eyes. "we have missed you. We heard a car coming up so we thought we should look what it was." Reggie said and gave me a hug along side with Alex. "I have miss you as well, but where have you hidden Luke and his parents." I asked as my little brother walked up to us. "Luke is in the house and Emily is out getting some groceries and Mitch had to work this summer. So that would be why she haven't answer you yet." Alex said. lately Mitch have been working a lot more and I don't know why. I have tried asking both mom and dad if they knew the reason. "well then we better get inside so I can get my stuff in my room and maybe text Flynn." I said and walked over to the car to get my bag. Where my mom and dad are wating for us. We grab our bags and walks inside.
Inside we see Luke sitting on the couch with his guitar. He still hasn't noticed that we have arrived but that is okay as I don't really feel like talking to him so instead, I go upstairs to my summer room.
the room looks the same as it always has. With a window on the left side of the room looking out towards the sea and my bed on the right side of the window so I can stare out towards the beach when I cant sleep. Of course, I also have my piano in here where me and my mom use when we are here. not that it will happened that much this year as my mom have just found out that she has cancer and that this might be her final summer going here. it sucks of course but unfortunately there isn't much we can do about that, and as long as she feels good enough to be here without being too tired its good. The worst part is that I don't know if Luke, Alex, or Reggie knows about this, and I don't know if my mom wants them to know. I need to get this feeling out of my head, so I start to unpack my bag and after I was done, I decided to call my best friend Flynn.
"so, you are finally there." she answered right away and like usually there is no normal hello from her. "yes, I just had to unpack before I could give you a call. So how is life back home." I asked. "a little boring, with you being gone and with Carrie being her weird self again." Flynn answered. Carrie used to be out friend before she started to hang out with her new band dirty candy. After that she became all mean and didn't want to talk to us anymore, or well at least not as much. "I am sure you will find something to do with your summer, and you are going here in three weeks anyways, so you will see me and the guys then." I said. this will be the second time ever Flynn is going to the summer house. Not that I haven't invited her before but every year something has come up. "I am and I am so excited I can't believe it have been five years since I was there last. And speaking about the guys have you talk to them yet or did you just walk up to your room straight away to start working on your music." Flynn asked. "I talked to Alex and Reggie as they met us when we got there. but I haven't spoken to Luke yet." I said. "well don't talk to me all day. You have to be with your parent and the guys just remember to have fun this summer." Flynn said. "you to." I said and we hung up. Like when we start a phone call, we don't say hello we usually don't say goodbye either. Which I am totally fine with as I am not the best at goodbyes. Which is why its hard saying goodbye at the end of the summer.
I ended up spending some time alone in my room working on some new music. "so how come you are alone in your room on this lovely day." Emily said as she opened my door. "I just needed some alone time. You know with everything that is going on." I said as I think my mom would tell her best friend what is going own. "well, we both know that your mom is a very strong woman. But I refuse to let you be up here all day long you should at least explore the beach with the guys. I promise that when you get back there will be food." Emily said. she has always been like a second mom to me. its just to bad that she doesn't live closer to us. "fine lets go." I said and took her hand as we walked downstairs.
"look who was hiding in her room." Emily said as we walked into the living room. "I thought I saw you walking in before." Luke said as he looked up Alex and Reggie haven't even noticed that we were there as they were too busy with there phones. "Luke that was three hours ago. Have you been here all day." I asked as I sat down next to him on the couch which is exactly where I saw him three hours ago. "well, no I think we went outside for a moment." Reggie answered. I guess he have finally noticed that I was downstairs. "no, you are thinking about before when we met up with Julie and her family." Alex said. "well, you are going out know. I said to Julie that you would go and take a walk on the beach and Julie bring your brother." Emily said as she walked away towards the kitchen. I wonder where Carlos even is, well I guess we will find him soon. "come on guys we cant be inside and looking at our phones all day long." I said as I stood up. and like I thought the guys stood up almost right after. We found Carlos in the kitchen with mom and dad and then we walked outside.
