Kasumi: What's going to take its place?
Me: You. As much as I want to keep that chapter in or move the fight with the vampire up, the groups aren't ready yet. So You will be the focus of this chapter. Ace will still be in it, but just not as much. I think we both need this chapter and there will be time skips. Also your body will change completely.
Kasumi: Hold on! What do you mean by that?
Me: The amount of food you eat cooked by your mother will be justified. And you won't be getting fat as you claim.

Chapter 5: Training, Training, and more Training
For the first time, Kasumi had woken up about the same time as Ace and she was getting excited about getting back into training again. Ace had been in the shower already and back in his room getting ready. She went into the bathroom to see her body had grown all over again, but she was eager to lose it. (Her curves had grown to be two cups bigger than Hinata). After taking a shower, she went to wear a pink tank top with a large silver star, black yoga pants, and gray striped shoes.
"Good morning." She called out to her family.
"Morning, Kasumi-dear." Her parents said while Ace waved as he was eating something light for breakfast.
"Give me after lunch and we can get you something with a training schedule setup." Their father said as she nodded her head.
"Ace, just keep to your training and school. She will need help from your old teacher and other ones." He said and Ace nodded his head.
"Gotcha, Tou-chan." Ace said
"Study hard and train even harder." Kasumi said, giving Ace a hug.
Ace left for school as their father left for his half day of work. Ace had made sure to have everything for his day of school. The father left to make sure that he and the mother of their children get their digimon partners for the coming storm.
"Kaa-chan, save a big lunch for me because I will be working hard to slim down." She said and got a nod in return. Kasumi left with a duffel bag of gym clothes and a spare set of clothes afterwards.
(AN: Putting a line break may seem out of place, but it works for moments in the same day. Like Kasumi is training and switching to Ace at school or walking home. I would always leave hints of a time skip.)
While Kasumi is working at the gym, Ace had just finished his light set of morning exercises and went to clean up for class. Rika had watched him again and she liked watching him work out (seems like a hint). Rika seems like him with muscle, but wants to be there with him and she wasn't sure how it would happen. She went to meet him at their lockers like always and force the blush away.
While the kids were away, the mother was busy with work in the house and it was fairly simple. Moreover she wanted to hold her little kitten in her arms before getting her, her husband's little buddy, and their old team back up to speed and pass new heights.
It seemed to be a simple day for the father of two. The work was easy for him as it took him a couple of minutes, but he had other stuff on his mind. He had a program to hunt for two digimon that were basically family to him and his wife. It was getting close for him to leave for the day as he heard a small alarm from his computer. It was the program he made and it found two missing members of his family.
Hidden chatroom:
-I finally found you two after all this time.- He typed

-Times have changed on our end and we need you two back. Everything will be explained when the family is back together.- was said
-Of course.-
He got the two digimon into his briefcase computer so he and his wife could get their partners back. Soon he left the office to get something to eat for lunch.
Meanwhile, Ko and Michael were in their usual spot thinking about everything. Their digimon were watching them with a slight worried look and partially confused.
"If we do this, it has to be today. Not tomorrow like we planned." Ko said.
"When has anything gone the way we planned it?" Michael asked rhetorically.
"What are you two planning?" Ko's renamon asked.
"Meeting the family and probably training Ace's older sister." Michael said.
"Then it would be best to meet them soon." Michael's gatomon said.
"Not quite yet." Ko said.
"We need to set our sealed chamber to the right setting on the time displacement/dislocation; also get her supplies squared away." Michael said.
With that said, the four left to take care of their business.
Kasumi was already in her spare set of clothes from working her hardest on remembering what she knew in her main style of martial arts. The shower helped ease the soreness and the pain. She is walking home for a bite to eat without getting stuffed again from her mother.
'Kaa-chan really likes to keep us full, but it really helps with the spare energy. Though this is only the first step in getting better and overcoming the past Kasumi.' She thought. On the way home, she met up with her father and they walked in silence.
'Tou-chan looks happy for a reason.' She thought, seeing something in her father that radiates a certain happiness.
When the two came home, there was a stillness meant something serious is about to happen.
"Hey you two." A voice said as the father knew who it was.
"It's ok, dear, It's our old friends. They want to help with the preparations of the coming storm." The mother said.
"Thought so." He said.
"What old friends?" Kasumi asked, slightly confused.
"Two people who helped when we were on the saving the world train." Her father said as he and her went into the living room. They were greeted by the last member of the family, two digimon, and two cloaked people drinking tea.
"Nice to finally/formally meet you, Miss Kasumi Mitsukamen." The two said like a creepy pair of twins.
"We are Ko/Michael Shinokaden. These are our own digimon partners." They greeted her as the two digimon bowed in respect.
"What happened?" The mother asked them.
"A change in plans." Ko said as the parents looked at him.
"What change?" The father asked.
"We like to offer training in Kasumi's stead. It will help her in the long run as no one is ready yet. You will need to take Ace's training to the next level. The older gen can handle some tips and train in the digi-world." Michael said as they nodded.
"Wait do I get a say in this?" Kasumi asked.
"Of course." Ko said.
"What kind of training?" She asked.
"Helping you master your main style and adding more parts to it from other styles." He answered.
"I hate to say it, but we have a time limit." Ko said.
"How long?" The mother asked.
"Probably 10 months." Michael said.
"It took me that long to get where I was in my style and that was only a 2nd Dan." Kasumi said, shocked.
"Kasumi-dear, take their offer. They helped us when the whole group was in trouble, but also gave advice when we needed it. I know I said I was going to help you, but they are better at training when time isn't a luxury." Her father said in a calm tone and it helped her ease up a bit.
"Kasumi, the truth is that you will be needed in the coming fight with the digimon that Ace wants to face and end his test on." Ko said that woke her up and it put a fire in her soul.
"Ok, I'll accept the offer as I want to be there for Ace-kun and help him however I can." She said as the adults smiled.
"Ace will be offered our training in the distant future as it's not his time yet." Ko said as Kasumi wanted her little brother wanted the same training but take the offer on his own terms.
"Trust us, you will want to curse our name, kill us or every other thing to harm us. At the end of the day, you will be happy with the results." Michael said as she nodded.
"When should we start?" She asked, before shivering from the fanged grins.
"Now." They said as they took her on the spot and vanished like a magician.
"I think the gates of hell just opened for a second." The father said with a sigh before getting hit on the head with a small frying pan.
"That was our daughter, you know." His wife said with a frown.
"Well, I have our partners in my portable computer so we can get our friends back." He said before getting a kiss on the bump that formed. After a bit, they pulled their digivices out and pulled their partners from the briefcase computer.
The parents went into detail of their lives to their partners; a lot has changed since they saved the world.
"So our old mentors think that bag of bats will come back? Then we need to get back up to our old forms." The former SlashAngemon (current form: patamon) said as his tamer nodded his head.
"Aside from our son, let the kids be kids for a little longer." The mother said.
"I have a feeling that they will help because of him." The former LovelyAngemon (current form: salamon) said.
"Suckers bet." The parents said with a look.
(AN: The line rulers are for the different parts happening. No time skips yet).
Ace was eating lunch with his group like normal, but he felt something was different and it had to deal with his sister. His phone was ringing and it was said sister calling him. Normally, he would leave his phone alone, but it felt different this time.
"Hey little brother, sorry for calling you at school. There is a change in plans that tou-chan made for our training. They are his old friends, but really the mentors of the first gen. I was offered to train with them and you will be given the same offer in time, but this is more a time limit based training. Let our father train you and I will be there for you like always. Also tell your friends that I will be joining the school after 10 months." Kasumi said and he could tell that she was trying not to break down.
"Kasumi-chan." He said with a clear tone.
"Yes, little brother?" She asked.
"Do your best and train hard. It sounds like a perfect way for you to be at my side ready to save me like you wanted." He said as a look appeared on her face.
She had a kind smile before giggling a bit. "Thanks little brother for the pep talk." She said before hanging up.
He looked a bit sad at his phone, but he turned serious. "Guys, the new student will be coming in 10 months after some personal business. I too will be busy with some family matters." He said to the group and they nodded in understanding.
"Energy catch." Ace said before catching an orb of energy that looked to be an attack from a digimon.
"Bad move." Ace said in a low tone that actually scared Kazu. He threw it back which hit a Solarmon before killing it with a swift punch with more than a bit of mild power. Ace looked to see the bully smiling at him and he rushed at the bully. Ace grabbed the taller moron and slammed him into the wall of the cafeteria.
"I have been giving you chances to leave me alone and this is the one time where this is your last chance to use that empty space you called a brain. You leave my friends alone and you can stay safe, but mess with me or my friends again and I will beat you within an inch of your life. Note that what I'm saying is not a threat, but a promise." Ace told him before punching a space beside the bully's head and it showed that Ace was holding back. A hole size of his fist about 3 inches deep. A hand patted him on the shoulder and it was the principal with his wife as both were looking at the bully with frowns on their faces.
"Ace-kun, good job so far. You still have a hanging grip of your emotions despite the constant actions of one student. You fight to protect what you care about and seek to end fights without starting one. I'll overlook the hole in the wall, but try not to do anymore damage?" He said and Ace nodded his head.
"Don't worry about the digimon you want to face. That will come so train harder than you ever have, but also enjoy your time with your friends. The body will need to rest after training. This one will try to help ease this one student's actions towards you." He added before both took the bully to the office and call the parents to deal with the troublesome child.
Ace took a breath before finishing his lunch and went to his next class. He felt like today really needs to be over.
'Something wrong, Ace-kun?' Rena-chan asked through the mental link.
'I just want the day to be over. My sister is training with my parent's mentors/advisors and I felt like I was about ready to snap on the idiot after hearing from my sister.' Ace said feeling a bit better.
'How about I help you with your training?' She asked.
'We'll see. Mostly I just need to vent some anger out before I explode on some idiot.' He said and he felt a nod from her.
School could not have ended any sooner for Ace as he just felt he needed to be away from almost everything. He was waiting for Rika as her renamon appeared by him.
"I won't say I'm fine. If Rika-chan is asking through you." Ace said.
"She knew something was up and wanted to wait when you were alone." Rika's renamon said.
"I'm angry, confused, and worried." He said.
Ace felt arms being wrapped around him in a hug and knew it was either his own Rena-chan or Rika. He smiled from the simple gesture before turning around and returning the hug.
"You were there if I needed someone to listen to me or let me be, but you stayed around if I did need help." Rika said in a soft tone.
"Rika-chan." He said before giving her a quick peck on her cheek seeing her blush.
"Thanks for being my guiding light." He said and she nodded.
"You are our guardian angel so I have to be your priestess." She teased him a bit and it got a chuckle out of him.
"Can we stop walking home together for now?" Ace asked in a low tone, but sounded scared. Both caught the tone and knew he needed something.
"Of course, but we can do it again whenever you want. I'm guessing about the test and why your sister called you." Rika said and he nodded his head.
"Yeah, mostly." He said as they let go before she hopped into her partner's arms in a princess carry. The duo left him as he went home for the day, but it seemed that he was in better spirits.
Meanwhile after Kasumi had finished explaining what was going on to her little brother, she was brought to a shrine located by the Town Miyazaki (real town. Nuff said). The shrine looked to be the oldest building in the world and it was simply beautiful.
"Sorry for taking you like that, but we have a time crunch and we have a lot to do." Ko said to her and she waved it off.
"As long as you two help me get better than I was and get within Ace's level. I'll call us even." She said and the two smirked.
"Oh, we are going to make you the best you can be." Michael said.
"Is it just you two here?" She asked, looking around.
"No, our wives are here as well, but they man the actual shrine and fireworks respectively." Ko said.
"I watch over any kids that come by like a glorified babysitter as Michael is an owner of a company." Ko said.
"Before we get too far into memory lane, we need you to understand something. We brought you here because we can get you all trained up within 10 months. We have a sealed chamber made for something like this, but once we three go in there is no coming out till the training is complete. There are beds, a bath just for you, and food in the kitchen. Also we will help you with your other powers." Michael said, handing Kasumi her bag with the other gems and her laptop.
"Music is fine while you train, but don't try to hack anything here. We have very sensitive systems here and we would like it better if you ask for anything internet related." Ko advised and she nodded.
"Ko will be training you mostly as I do run a company, but I will help when I can. I would never leave a student to fend for themselves unless it was to teach them a lesson." Michael stated and she nodded again.
The two took her into the shrine, but passed the parts where their wives are working. They were standing by a door covered in seals that only the two know how they work. Ko set the seal meaning for timer set and Michael set a seal to let him come and go as he needs.
"There, we set the seals to allow my brother here to come and go while the timer is set for 10 months on the outside." Ko explained. The three went into the chamber as the door closed and the seals glowed to begin the long training session.
"Ok, we are going to be working on your main style, learning other styles, your illumina powers, and help you learn a new skill." Michael said.
"How many new styles?" She asked.
"Nearly 200, but mostly 180. You won't need to master them, but use them to fix your main fighting style." Ko said with a smirk seeing the look on her face.
"Getting cold feet?" He challenged her, but his smile widened seeing that fire in her eyes grow.
"Hell no! I'm going all the way for my little brother." She said as the other illumina gems reacted to her before shooting into her body and joining with the light gem.
"How did that happen?" Kasumi asked the twins.
"Well, without another person to take them as a host, they merged with you. It shows that you can use any of the gems. They also reacted to your love for your brother." Michael said. The twins went to work and see how she needs to work on everything.
(AN: I think the time ratio for this is 1 month outside is 3 months inside. Not completely sure, but better than leaving it to chance. If you have a better time ratio, then tell me and I can fix it.)
Timeskip: outside 1 month
While the first month has passed, Ace had been training with his parent's digimon and his own partner. He took Rika to learn from his old teacher since he would have been busy and it would be a good way to kill time when not hunting digimon. Both Ace and Rika would be playing the card game with the group to help develop tactics and combos. The bully was put on suspension for the acts he did and he will be gone for the same 10 months where he is to avoid Ace or get expelled. Everyone from the first gen has been using the digital world as a means to get back their old and new skills. For them it's like riding a bike.
Kasumi on the other hand, has been training nonstop to the point where Ko had to carry her. He drew her a healing bath so she can least walk to her bed and sleep. After some sleep, she went to make something to eat to recover some energy. Her training for the first month mostly worked on her main style of Taekwondo. The twins had planned on getting her to 9th Dan, but they need years where they don't have time. However the sealing chamber helped there, but they are using her learning curve to the max.
'So their focus is on fixing and adjusting my style so we can add new styles to it despite not being mastered.' Kasumi thought while soaking in her bath.
Another month had passed to her as she was taught with her Illumina powers. She spent every few days getting the gems she had to level 3. For light, she had her Light Cannon, Healing Light Wave, and Starzone Grenade (see hellzone grenade from piccolo). For Wind, she has Fleeting Haze Blitz, Cyclonic Storm, and Twin Windstream Swords. For fire, she has Starburst Flare, (not the team tech for the original, but a powerful Solar Flare) Fire Minigun Blast, and Surging Wildfire. For water, Aqua Healing Dome, Typhoon Wall, Hurricane Maelstrom. For earth, Bedrock Wall, Gaia Fist, and Delta Quake. As the last gem she has for now with shadow, Skill Drain, Stealth Run, and Dark Snare.
'Well, I guess the gems felt safer with me. Still weird though, maybe there is more to them.' She thought, sinking deeper in the tub unknowing of the next time she uses her illumina powers.
This month is where they are training her in the use of a type of energy, but only for a last resort type of deal. The type of energy is called Ki, but there are other names.
'Find your center, embrace the power, let it flow through, and guide with a gentle touch.' She thought as a glow coming from her hands.
Timeskip: outside month 2
Kasumi had learned about channeling her Ki in place of her illumina powers while working on learning another 10 new styles. At the end of the first month, Michael had to leave; but said he would be back when it's further in her training. Some of the sword training was helping her with using the swords that were used in het illumina forms.
Timeskip: outside 10 months
With the end of the last day, Ace, the first generation, and Kasumi felt like they were ready. The twins felt that they would step in to help if it was dire enough, but only if it was truly too much for someone to handle. Ace and Kasumi were using the last day of their training to rest up and do a light spar with their teachers.
Ace grew to 5'6" through the training, but mostly from his mother cooking and feeding him. His muscles grew making him look like a young bodybuilder with a decent 6-pack of abs. His hair grew to just below shoulder length, but he is planning on getting it cut short. He learned to trust his ally a lot more and was excited to be her tamer. Rika saw his muscles and felt her own face burning with a strong red blush, but only her renamon would tease her. Speaking of Rika, with the lessons from Ace's old master made it possible for her to join his training with his father plus the digimon. Her body definitely gained muscle in her core, arms, and legs. She looked more toned and defined, but not as bulky as Ace.
As for the older folks, their digimon gained their old forms in the middle months. However, dealing with some of the old enemies from their past lets them gain new forms (they aren't the tri versions, but this was before tri was released). They still dealt with their normal jobs with ease while spending a few hours a day in the digi-world training. Ace's parents had their digimon get their back to their mega forms between helping their friends and training Ace and Rika.
Kasumi was the one with the biggest change of all. With months of training and eating properly, she shot up like bamboo in height to 6'10'' almost 7'. Her hair grew out and down to the upper middle of her back. Her body had a build of an Amazonian build, but her abs were a 10-pack. She is toned, defined, and only bulky in her arms and legs. During a day in her own training, she went into her Illumina form and noticed that the former open slots were filled with other gems.
Flashback:
"I see." Michael said as they see more gems appeared in her gloves.
"What does this mean?" Kasumi asked, slightly freaking out.
"Your gems reflect on certain elements like fire, water, earth, wind, light, and finally shadow. The former open spots in your gloves were meant for the formally missing gems. Ice, Lightning, wood/plant, and metal." He explained.
"It would mean that you have more training with those new gems. Something else to add since you have gotten the prime ones already to level 3." Ko said.
One of the tricks they were teaching her was how to switch between knight forms and get it to where it had become instinct. With wood she learned Venus' Trap, Energy Drain, and Nature's Fury For ice, Freeze Snap, Ice Mirror Dome (based on Haku's demonic ice mirrors), and Mist Dragon Vortex. For lightning, Blitzing Thunder, Zap Rush Cannon, Field of Thunder. And lastly metal, Magnetic Trap, Wrought-iron Blade, and Gravity Well.
"If metal itself isn't enough, then tap into the power and bring it out." Michael said. Soon she learned that gravity had mixed in the metal and learned a bit more. Gravity Rush Blade, Polarity Shield, and Magnetic Reversal. After that training, she fainted out of her form and her transformer looked to be upgraded again.
The twins took her to soak in the bath again for a while and placed her in the bed. She wasn't allowed to use her Illumina powers again till they deemed it so.
Flashback end
"I have to say that you have done wonderfully, Kasumi. You have evolved your main style of Taekwondo, your Illumina powers, channeled your ki and seamlessly fused it into your style." Michael said as they knew their time in the chamber was drawing to a close.
"At first, I didn't know what to do when my father said that you were taking over my training. But it felt like I was taking something meant for my little brother and it wouldn't have been fair to him. I'm lucky to have him, my family, and you two as my teachers." Kasumi said before hugging them as they felt like another set of fathers to her.
"I will say that our wives were happy to see you pace yourself during this and made you some outfits showing that you are still a part of the Kamen family and a student of Shinokaden." Ko said as they returned the hug.
"You did learn all we planned to teach, but it's time for you to finally use your Illumina powers in a spar." They said as she smirked before revealing her new transformer. It changed to a single wrist morpher with the symbol of the Illumina made of smaller gems (something like the titanium power morpher). "ILLUMINA POWER!" Kasumi cried out as the morpher reacted and her knight uniform was still the same as before. Her belt on the uniform seems to reflect her level of a grandmaster despite the rush they were in. They jumped into a quick spar before it was time to leave.
Soon they rejoined the outside world where the wives of the twins were standing. They gave Kasumi a gi like her uniform, but it was silver, with a black belt made for a 9th Dan level grandmaster. The Kamen family symbol was on the right side and the Shinokaden family crest was on the back. She was also given a staff to show that was part of their family and was given the training to use it.
"Time for you to get back home. It wouldn't be right if an older sibling misses the younger's special day." Ko said, smiling. Kasumi froze up before nodding her head.
Despite training for 10 months, Ace would always keep track of special days like birthdays and parent only special days like anniversaries.
'To think my birthday is close by and Kasumi-nee isn't, but I know she will come later.' Ace thought while his birthday is actually close by a couple of days.
There was a sudden pickup of wind before he was picked up and hugged by a tall person.
"Hello, my little brother. You definitely grew stronger, but still adorably cute when I hug you in my arms." Kasumi said, kissing his head and setting him back on his feet.
He finally got a look at her and felt a blush ready to burn his face. 'Why does it hurt to choose between her and Rika-chan?' He thought and his Rena-chan was giggling hearing this unguarded thought.
"Ace-kun. Let me take you and Rika out." Kasumi said.
"Why?" He asked.
"To say thanks for saving me and her being my friend." Kasumi said as he was thinking about it.
"I get to choose and you have to save me only once." He said.
"You aren't alone anymore." He added before hugging her waist. She returned the hug and ruffled his hair a bit.
"Deal." She agreed. They left the area while Rena-chan was following them for a bit.
"Rika-chan should be done about now." Ace said, looking at a dojo that was formally his school.
"She goes here now?" Kasumi asked.
"Did while I was training with our parents and their digimon. Rena-chan also helped there. She was a big help while you were training. Soon Rika-chan had finished the lessons and had to be back here for her final belt. Her gear looks like ours, but more her style." He explained.
"If you had to pick one either me or Rika, who?" Kasumi said as she made sure that Rika would come up behind him.
"Both, it wouldn't be fair to you two. I also would have picked neither because I rather deal with a broken heart than make one of you hurt like that." He said honestly.
Both girls smiled before Kasumi leaned forward as they both kissed his cheeks. He turned a bright red and they giggled at him.
"Guessing you will be with us tomorrow eh, Kasumi-chan?" Rika asked about the school situation with her.
"I still have to talk with our parents for now, but it looks promising." She said.
"It's been quiet with the bully away from the school, but tomorrow is his first day back and it would feel right if my Onee-chan did the honors of humoring that moron while we clock out his next digimon." Ace said.
"Sounds like a plan, but leave that for tomorrow. We have an outing to have fun with. We go home to freshen up before meeting up at the park and let Ace-kun take us to a place he has in mind." Kasumi said as they nodded.
"No need to dress formally, just something casual and comfy." Ace told Rika as they split up.
"Little brother." Kasumi said before he looked up to her.
"Yeah, nee-chan?" He asked.
"Can you help me with changing my body again?" She asked
"Why? You could just switch to your old look." He said.
"Because I like to be near the same height as you sometimes and not be the center of attention. Also this look would be my normal look and not switch back to Mitsumiko's looks. She won't be forgotten, but will live on through me." Kasumi explained. Ace was thinking about it before nodding his head.
"Ok, I'll help you." He said as they made it home. He went to take a shower first while Kasumi was telling their parents and their digimon about her training. He was wearing a white shirt, red jeans, his coat, and a normal pair of boots. Kasumi made it to his room before bending her body inside. He silently activated the family card and a smaller spell circle appeared under them.
"Picture me as you see me in your mind." She said and he nodded.
"Now picture me shrinking down slowly." She said and he did so. He pictured her shrinking down till his head was leveled with her chest. "Perfect." She said, giggling. Even though she was shorter than before, her curves tend to pick up the slack by growing a bit bigger and getting wider (As if she was mirroring her old body frame).
"You can still switch your taller size, but your form will revert to your amazonian size when you use your illumina powers." Ace said as he made sure that her clothes would fit her current and taller sizes. The spell circle faded away and Kasumi went to get ready. She decided to wear a white blouse, ruby red long skirt hiding black shorts (not that easy gutter brains), and green pumps.
Rika was waiting for Ace and Kasumi at the park like they agreed. She is wearing a light blue blouse, yellow pants, and purple shoes. Her hair is down as opposed to having it in the usual ponytail. Her curves definitely increased in size a bit from eating Ace's mother's cooking and her chest grown by 2 cups.
'They should be leaving to get here.' Rika thought.
'Getting 'cold' feet?' Her renamon was teasing her.
'No. If it was any other person, I wouldn't be doing this and probably punch the person.' Rika thought.
'That means you care.' Was replied. Rika had a soft smile.
'I think Ace needs me and more than a sister in Kasumi. I get that feeling from somewhere.' Rika thought and heard a giggle from her renamon.
"Rika-chan, sorry for getting here a bit late." Ace called out, but froze a bit seeing Rika wearing something almost not her usual outfit.
'I already know what would make someone like Ace and his mind stop for a couple of minutes.' Rika planned for something in the near future.
"So Ace-kun, where are we going?" Rika asked him.
"A cozy little place with good music and wonderful food." He said before leading them into a part of the city where he crossed the place before to mark for a later outing.
Taking a path not known to many, he brought them to a dance club that their parents went when they were dating. The dance club is called Dog's Heaven, where it plays big band type of music and a range of songs suitable for dancing the night away.
"Don't feel bad about feeling underdressed for a place like this. I asked one of the workers and this is the minimum dress code." Ace said. He led them in the club and signalled the bartender that it was an outing with friends rather than a date with very special girls.
The club had a classy feel, but feeling a bit homey. There was a band playing for those who want to dance. There was no singer on the stage with the band so it was either later in the night or they had the night off. They were seated in a small booth for three by the stage.
'Must be a bit later if we are this close to the stage.' Ace thought. They had gotten water to drink and some appetizers to buy them some time to order their real meal.
"I want to thank you both." Kasumi said to Ace and Rika.
"We should be thanking you." Rika said, but Ace knew it was something else.
"Before I was saved by Ace, my biggest fear was dying alone or if I was going to die alone in that alley. When they adopted me into the family, they gave me the love to break that fear, but now it's losing them that scares me to want to do what I have to do even if it kills me. Rika, you almost immediately became my friend and almost could be my sister." Kasumi said
"You still have more friends to meet when you go to our school so look forward to that." Rika said and Ace nodded his head.
They shared a hug before ordering their main course when the appetizers came to the table. Meanwhile, a singer who is an anthro irish setter, 5'10", golden fur with a light golden cream underbelly, light green eyes, and dark brown hair. She is wearing a black long dress, pearl necklace, matching black gloves up to her elbows, and low heel flats. Her name is Sasha La Fleur.
She was enjoying her time singing as the trio were waiting for their meal. Rika took Ace out for a dance as Kasumi was waiting for the food. Then it was Kasumi's turn to dance with Ace as Rika watched with a smile. Their meal came just as Sasha was done singing her first song and starting another. She walked off the stage to tease the people watching her before coming to their table. She gave a wink before leaning into Ace's ear.
"Thanks for helping Aleu and joining the group. We will take in the other person with you. Carmelita told us about the cold case actually being solved so you deserve a reward." She whispered before kissing his forehead and went to finish the song.
"She felt like our kaa-chan was kissing my head." He said so the girls didn't feel jealous. The food was great and Ace felt like coming here again when he felt ready in the dating aspect. Kasumi paid the bill for all three, but Ace left a generously large tip for their entertainment. They left the club and took Rika home before doing the same.
"Tomorrow is when we are waiting for the datapire to show up." Kasumi said and he nodded.
"We need to get home because we have school and need to get up in the morning." Ace said and she nodded.

This chapter was a bit of a doozy. I won't say that it felt like it was rushed, but using the line rulers and timeskips were a better choice.
Kasumi: Holy crap!
Me: 180 styles took most of the time you were in there. I think we know how you are going to be inducted in the family properly. *sees Kasumi blushing hard before hitting me in the arm and I chuckle*
Kasumi: Considering how Neokenny went with Kasumi Prime, seeing you go somewhat the same path, but still waiting for the true differences.
Me: Those are coming. One of them is in the next chapter and your body was made for it after the training with the twins.
Kasumi: So the next chapter is the same as before?
Me: If you mean the fight with the datavamp, no. That will be redone and I think you and Ace will like what I do in the new one.
