Chapter 7: Aftermath and a Favor Returned
The next morning, the twins were looking over the three sleeping in one bed and it seems that they are sleeping peacefully. The other tamers and their digimon stayed over in the living room, but they stayed in their rookie form or champion form if it's small enough to fit inside the house. Rika's renamon and she stayed in Ace's bed for the night because she was worried about them.
"I think they are forming a bond, but Ace and his renamon were already doing that so it shouldn't be that hard to add another person." Ko said being the resident mental.
"It seems that only the Renamon species can form mental links." He added.
"We used to know of others." Michael said, hinting at something else.
"How are they holding up?" Rika asked them as she came into the room without her partner while she was letting her sleep.
"Their bodies are fine aside from the exhaustion they got, but it's their mental state that got us wondering. There is a chance that they could be forming a link like you have with your partner." They said, nearing talking at the same time.
"I wonder if I can extend my link to my renamon to them." Rika said thinking out loud.
"It's possible." Michael said as he with Ko felt a small energy spike and Rika turned her head like she might have heard something. The twins with the father gathered to grab Ace's deck case with his digivice, but only pulling the fading glowing card out.
"Has that ever been done to you?" Ko asked the father.
"Not one time when I had control over it. However, this might mean there is something about my son." He said looking at the peaceful sleeping son.
"Think it might have to do with his wish?" Michael asked, wondering about something.
"Maybe. Or it could be something else." He said as the twins were thinking hard on something.
"We have been keeping an eye on Ace while patrolling. We have a friend that gave us some info that might involve Ace, but we don't fully know yet." Ko said.
"There is a group with a method that we know of and it might be the one Ace used. Kasumi might be the same, we think." Michael said.
The parents nodded their heads trusting the twins on this, but Rika didn't know them as well. Her partner appeared in the same ninja-like fashion and hugged her from behind. Rika was watching the sleeping trio while in the arms of her partner soaking in the feeling of being safe. Stirring in his sleep, he felt his arms were weighted by something and already knew he was in his sister's bed.
(AN: The card only goes rogue when Ace is unable to control the energy. It's hard to plan something like that.)
"Feels like I was railroaded and I never felt so tired to collapse like that." Ace said.
"It was to be expected since that power you haven't used before, but with training you can handle it." Ko said with experience.
"Yeah, just rest now and recover. We will go over everything a bit later and those two looked to be heavy sleepers." Michael said using a calming sleep spell on Ace causing him to go back to sleep. Rika smiled relieved to know Ace is fine before falling back into her partner. She too was put under a sleep spell and her partner carried her back to bed in Ace's room.
"She needed to rest as well." Michael said with a kind smile.
Soon it was morning and that was when the sleeping trio finally woke up, but for Ace it was a bit late. However, it was the weekend so he could sleep in a bit.
"It's been way too long since I had a chance to sleep in." Kasumi said letting one of Ace's arms go free.
"I barely sleep in, but after last night. I'm surprised I woke up once before going back to sleep." He said.
"Still need to get used to digivolving so it won't drain me like that again." Rena-chan said letting Ace go free and he immediately left for the bathroom. He sighed in peace before doing his business and took a shower. Ace had some clothes hidden away in the bathroom in case he didn't have time to actually pick his clothes. After a while, he was relaxing in a deep blue T-shirt and shorts plus socks. He went back to his sister's room where he got back to the bed and just sat between his partner and Kasumi meditating in lotus position.
"Taking a moment of peace." He said deep breathing.
"Good of you three to finally wake up." Ko said knocking on the door as he and Michael with their digimon came into the room.
"Where are the others?" Kasumi asked.
"The adults minus your parents had to leave last night because of their jobs, but we stayed to monitor your health. Rika also came to check on you, but she needed more sleep. The other tamers are in the living room, but Rika and her renamon are in your room." Michael explained.
"Why did we pass out?" She asked.
"You are easier partially to explain, but his renamon was exhausted from first time digivolving. You are a combination of your Illumina powers and that ability to digivolve into a digimon. With Ace, I have to say it's between both forcing himself to his limit and digivolving." Ko explained and they nodded.
"Kasumi, you used a secret art ability of your gems. Your body isn't ready for that level of power yet. Ace, due to your wish, you are the bigger mystery. However, that card of your family is something else and the power needs to get under control. Same as your sister though, your body isn't ready to handle any full amount of power. Any hard training is off the table till you three are checked out. So just relax today and enjoy the weekend." They said and the trio nodded before getting up from the bed.
"We need to talk with the others and you can relay info to the adults from this." Ace said in a serious tone which made the twins curious.
"Alright." Ko said before Rika and her Renamon came out of his room and rushed to hug him and his sister.
"Good to see you all up." Rika said as they went down the stairs. The parents were making breakfast for the kids and digimon as the group came into the kitchen and Ace was hugged by Alice and Jeri.
"It's good to see my friends were worried about me." Ace said, smirking a bit.
"It was late so we let them stay the night." His father said.
Ace nodded as he, Rika, and Kasumi sat down at the table as the others were in the living room.
"I think that datapire is still around." Ace said with a calm tone, but it had a dark edge.
The twins looked at him before nodding their heads.
"This will be the last time for him to reappear. One of you tamers will take that data from his body." Ko said as they nodded, but Rika was already planning on it.
'Not just to help us get stronger, but for Ace and Kasumi. For them, it's worth preventing a repeat of a defeated villain.' Rika thought with her renamon agreeing with her.
"Since we were part of the second gen, we will keep training like we did before and stay in shape." The mother said as she gave breakfast to everyone.
"So the next set is the second gen, but they need to be training in the meantime. There are a couple of digimon that came before that ripper reject." Ko said with a frown already thinking of two still that gave his students problems.
"I know we three need to train to get these gifts some form of control, but Kasumi-chan seems to know what to do with hers." Ace said thinking smart.
"At least Kazu can't hold not having a digimon over your head and Kasumi-chan is technically a digimon with a card." Takato said as Ace had a cat-eating-canary grin on his face.
"What are we going to do with that moronic idiot for bringing a piedmon to fight me or getting to my parents through me?" Ace said, still angry with that.
"Between us and your dad, we can revoke his right as a tamer and basically kick him out of school." Michael said as the other two nodded their heads.
"People like that have no right to a digimon." The mother said.
"Something isn't right with that one." Ace said.
"What do you mean?" Henry asked
"That idiot had enough bodily harm for a normal person to be in the hospital for a day worth of healing. I don't think he is human nor a digimon." Ace explained and that made the twins curious.
"That sounds more like our area of knowledge." Ko said with Michael nodding his head.
"Take the day off and recover. We will see about training later on." Michael said to the three at the table before putting his empty dishes in the sink. Ko did the same followed by their digimon and soon they left the house by fading out like a ghost.
"Don't even try. They do that like a habit and they have their own secrets." The mother said to the kids.
The tamers with Kasumi went to the park and play while Ace was sitting on a bench with his sketch pad doing some nature pieces. He had the line art done when he felt Rika sit next to him.
"What was it like being a digimon with your renamon?" He asked Rika.
"How was it being a digimon for the first time?" She countered back.
"I really wasn't thinking much of anything. I was only focused on saving you, the digimon, Kasumi-chan, and the others." Ace said.
"At the time, we both figuratively and literally took a leap of faith to save the cream puff from the D-reaper. It's like I knew I was going to be fine with Renamon by my side." Rika explained with a soft smile.
Ace had a smile too as he did a secret sketch of a smiling Rika on a different pad and away from sight.
"Give me some time, ok? I feel like watching the excitement rather than being in it." Ace said and Rika nodded her head. She felt he wanted some time alone like she did when he passed by while she was singing.
Kasumi sat by him after Rika left and she had a look on her face.
"Ace-kun." She said.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"I think I know what choice to make, but it will change the whole dynamic between you and Rika-chan." Kasumi said and he stared at her before smiling.
"Let's talk it over with Rika first before letting you go through with it." He said as she nodded.
"Keep them company, ok,?" Ace said to her and she nodded before walking to their friends and they play with a frisbee.
'Don't even think about joining to talk with me, Rena-chan. I need some alone time.' He told his partner with a soft yet stern tone. He set the pad down beside him before pulling his cards out and looking through them.
'Most of these cards have appeared at 'apparently' random times even when my dad had the card. Something is definitely going on here.' Ace thought to himself not letting Rena-chan or Kasumi-nee hear his thoughts. Ace channeled a small amount of energy into his hand to do an experiment before a flash happened and a card appeared in his hand.
'Spirit Digivolution.' Ace read the card in his mind. The frame of the card is blue like the other tamers having the blue cards, but the card is black with gold kanji for samurai. He put his cards into the deck case and went back to sketching
The twins were watching him more than the others, but they were getting concerned for him.
"Seems like his mind is picking up on something while his body is slowly adapting to the power of the other soul." Ko said and Michael nodded. Kasumi looked at her phone at some old numbers from old friends and sighed.
'I have to deal with that part of my past soon enough.' She thought to herself.
'Monday is the last time that punk does something like using a mega. Yamaki should also be trailing that idiot as well.' Ko thought the bully is 'safe' for now on the weekend.
'Not even those parents would be able to free him from the coming punishment, but they have been trying to correct him.' Michael thought.
"Why didn't we help during the fight?" Michael's gatomon asked slightly annoyed.
"Because it seemed like they got it, but Ace bringing back wizardmon as an egg was the biggest surprise." Ko said.
"It was a fixed point wasn't it?" His renamon asked.
"Sort of, but mostly didn't want to chance it to be anything worse." He explained.
"There is always a chance of that happening." Michael's gatomon said with a huff.
Meanwhile, Ace picked up his stuff getting tired of drawing and put his bag over his shoulder.
"Hey guys, I'm going to head home for a minute and go on a run." Ace said to the group. They nodded before he left and his partner went to follow him. The group went back to playing around for a while.
Ace went to his room of his house to leave his drawing stuff on the desk and his bag in his room. He went on a run around the block and then some. He felt like he needed to clear his mind and doing his normal hobby wasn't working like it should.
'Just maybe do something else for a while.' Ace thought before keeping up with his run for a few hours with drink breaks in-between.
He was definitely feeling better from long runs and made it last longer to feel that burn. Soon he made it home and went to take a shower to feel refreshed. He phone started to ring and it showed that it was his sister calling him.
"Hey Kasumi-chan, do you need me?" Ace asked.
"I'm cashing a favor of you saving my life for you, me, and Rika going out. I think it's time for us to really talk and I really felt that our parents waited long enough." Kasumi said and he was thinking about it.
'I have a feeling it's a bit more than that. Like her past has a part of it, but she has been slowly breaking away from it.' Ace thought.
"Ok, sure. Let's go back to the dance club and talk there." He agreed to it.
"Just wear something comfortable. We will be there for a while." Kasumi said before hanging up and Ace was looking at the clothes he was about to put on.
'She did say comfortable.' He thought a white t-shirt, a blue shirt over that, gray shorts, and his regular socks with shoes. He was in his room looking over his drawings from the day and his deck as he heard his sister go to her room and probably into the bathroom to freshen up before going to meet up with Rika.
Meanwhile, a director in his office is trying to schedule time for filming with his cast and got an email on his computer. The title: 'Thank You'
"Who sent this and why?" He asked himself before finally opening the email.
"From the desk of K.S.K.,
First I like to take you because of revamping the story with Kasumi-chan coming in at the start of it. She has been a miracle trooper and I still say that you are an inspiration despite what you say. If you read the revamped chapters up to the current one being changed, edited, and rewritten, then there should be a slow change happening to her. I don't plan much around her so she can grow on her own, but I do plan her progress in training her powers. I do hope you enjoy the story so far, but the ride isn't over; not by a long shot.
Oh, I have a gift for you. I have attached or enclosed video footage of two people who owned the never ending rocking trailer. Basically, it's their bloopers that I found and it's from the early chapters of both stories. I put my contact info card with this letter as a way for us to talk and brainstorm ideas for a possible specialty chapter. It's whenever you have time, but there is no time crunch on the offer and you are free to decline it if you wish. Those who escape trolling will be targeted next.

'This will get them for sure and I can't wait to see the looks on their faces.' He thought before switching gears to how to use the new footage attached to the email.

Rika was waiting for the other two people to show up as it was Kasumi's idea and she lives with Ace. She is wearing a purple shirt with the red crest of love on it, pale blue jeans, and her normal shoes.
'Renamon, I want you to keep Ace's renamon away from the club. Not to be mean or anything, but we should have some level of alone time. From what it sounded like with Kasumi-chan, it was important to her and it seems to involve Ace-kun.' Rika said to her partner. She felt a mental nod before was left alone.
Soon Ace shows up with his relaxed clothes and Kasumi is wearing a jean jacket, white shirt with the crest of light in pink, yellow pants, and white converse shoes. They went inside the club and were led to a private booth, but can still hear the music playing.
"Ok Kasumi, why drag me into something that should be only you and Ace-kun?" Rika asked as part of her old self came back.
"Because you have feelings for him like I am. I want to be fair to you and let you have a fair shot with him." She said and Rika stared at her with a blush sort of surprised.
"Also because you are my friend and no friendship should be ruined over a possible boyfriend." She added and Ace strangely nodded his head.
"She is right. I would rather be heartbroken than cause you two to hate each other." He said.
"Our parents let Kasumi-chan have a choice on how to be adopted into the family. One would be that she is legally my sister and no more her being a bro-con or she accepts being my girlfriend and later on as my wife." Ace explaining it.
"I should be mad at this, but I can't because neither of you are like that." Rika said and they nodded.
"I used a favor of him saving me in exchange for this outing with you and I sort of want to talk to you about the possibility of sharing him with you." She said and they looked at her.
"If I agree to this, then we have to agree if there is anyone else going to join and Ace-kun will have to spend equal time with all those involved. We and anyone else will need to protect his heart because he is the one that pulled us in." Rika said as if stating the rules. Kasumi agreed to it right off the bat and they were looking at him and his thinking face.
"I will agree to this, but I have a condition of my own. No matter how crazy the situation seems, all sides have to be listened to and judged rationally. So therefore neither of you could get cheesed off if I say I get drugged and pulled into a bed with a digimon." He said his peace and watched them, but mostly Rika. Kasumi agreed and turned her head to Rika.
"I will agree since I know you wouldn't be the cheating type." Rika said.
They shook hands and sealed the deal with the girls kissing Ace on his cheeks. Their favorite singer was back and singing her heart out, but the three were taking turns dancing with each other. Rika and Kasumi even shared a dance with each other while they passed Ace between themselves during a dance. Despite feeling a little dizzy, they all had fun and went to leave. Kasumi paid the bill and Ace gave an extremely generous tip for Sasha from his allowance.
The trio had taken a walk where Ace led them to a beach close by and the sunset made it a beautiful place for something like this. He gave the girls each a bag that mysteriously appeared in his hands (the twins helped there).
"Mom had those prepared for you two." Ace said with a smirk. They found some changing stalls for a change of clothes. Ace came out with white and golden yellow trunks with black waves on them. Next is Kasumi wearing a two-piece bikini showing her curves and muscles without making her look too bulky. The bikini itself is silver with white frills on the front and sides on the bottom respectively. He blushed to see her and she smirked before Rika came out with a yellow one-piece only showing her arms and legs. Her swimsuit gives him a good view of her bust, but seeing her smirk means he is okay and she is teasing him with the 'window'.
The girls let Ace take pictures of them and with them in return, but did small drawings in a small notebook to preserve the memories. All three had fun swimming in the water and it was peaceful as it was just them. As a last activity, they build sand sculptures or sandcastles just for fun and there was no challenge. It took them a few minutes to get through the shower to get the feeling of sand off, but it's harder than it looks. They changed back into their other clothes free of sand before leaving the beach with bags in their hands.
The last spot Ace took them to was one Rika had always liked because for every 4-month period there are cherry blossom trees in bloom and this park has all of them. He grabbed two of the falling blossoms and put them in the girl's hair, getting a blush in return. They took a picture each for a chance to make a wallpaper on their phones.
"Does your mother know about you staying over again, Rika-chan?" Ace asked her.
"She knows that there would be a chance of it happening, but she trusts you like I do." She said.
Soon after they left the fields and went over to his house so Kasumi can let their parents know what she picked.
"Are you ready, but are you sure about this? After tonight, everything will change." Ace said, looking at Kasumi.
"Yeah, but I have Rika and the Renamons to help me with you." She said with a giggle and Rika giggled a bit too. Walking into the house, they noticed their parents were sitting on the couch…..drinking tea (I could have pranked there, but this is important).
"Kaa-chan, Tou-chan, I have decided and I want Ace not as my brother. However, we three came to an agreement and we will make it work." Kasumi said as her parents looked at her before smiling and nodded.
"No matter how or what you chose, we would have still been proud of you." They said before getting up.
The twins were hiding, but wanted to see this moment personally. The parents went to get an old paint brush that looked like it had seen some mileage. The two pulled out a bottle of ink and had Kasumi reveal her dominant arm. In the end, Kasumi had gotten a tattoo of a dragon wrapping around her left arm with kanji for honor and kamen on both sides of the dragon. The dragon itself looked more tribal, but simple.
"As your relationship grows so will the mark. There is no backlash if the relationship breaks down, but can be repaired." The father said as the mother put the stuff away. It was late enough they all took showers and went to bed, but Ace was dragged to Kasumi's room again.
Soon it was morning and Ace was awake again before dawn, but was stuck between Rika and Kasumi again. They stuck him under the bedsheets while they were just under the cover. He smiled at them before closing his eyes for a while getting some more rest.
'The run yesterday did help, but I need to get back to heavy training.' Ace thought as he felt the girls stir in their sleep. He gave them a kiss on thekr head to wake them up and it worked.
"Morning Ace-kun." They said at the same time.
"Morning." He greeted them as they let him leave the room first to get a shower. He grabbed a light colored version of his gear and went into the bathroom.
While the kids were getting ready for the day, the parents and the twins came by to check on Ace and Kasumi before letting them go back for training.
"I believe Ace's Renamon will be fine, but we are wondering about him and our student." Ko said.
"From what I've seen, they just needed a day to relax their body before trying again. You two however, need to get in touch with the others from the second gen and see if they followed our advice." Michael said to the parents. They gave a nod in return before fixing several plates of breakfast for the kids. The kids in question came down and got to the table.
"Morning, sensei." Kasumi greeted the twins while Ace gave a curt nod to them meaning the same.
"Seems my brother is right again and proves that he is a good doctor." Ko said as Michael had a smirk form on his face.
"So what are you three doing for the day?" The mother asked the kids.
"As much as I want to get back to training, I think I will spend the morning in my room working on a couple of things and do training after lunch." Ace said with a certain look.
"We can train the girls in the morning and train you at the same time after lunch, but you, Kasumi, and your Renamon will be training your new forms either before or after dinner." Ko said as they nodded.
"However Rika, if that biomerge form of yours gains the other mode, then my wife will be able to train you to be a miko." He added and she nodded her head.
"I know what I have to do as part of my training, sensei." Kasumi said knowing that she has to train in her Illumina powers and mix them to help her when she is in her digimon form.
"It would be best to relax for now when you can, but I think we have a while before that datapire reappears again." Michael said as they nodded.
"Don't worry about the brat. We sent word to Yamaki and he is working on this as well. He will be handled tomorrow while the kids are in school." Michael told the father knowing what was on his mind.
'I will never forget my old friends, but I have my new life here now.' Kasumi thought as her powers reacted to her will.
'She will need to handle that last thread of her old life and finally move on.' Ko thought seeing the look on Kasumi's face.
The parents left to take care of some errands and took their digimon for training later. Meanwhile, Aceis working on transferring pictures and his small drawings into his big sketch book for that. He seemed to move quickly between the pictures and drawings so he has skills in art. During one point, he was redoing an old drawing from long ago and it seemed to be only slightly different. Touching the original art, he felt something in his mind and must have whispered a spell to restore the drawing to its original state. That was his morning.
Meanwhile, the twins took the girls to the backyard and placed some seals that Kasumi recognized from a sealed door.
"Senseis, are those seals like the same ones from my time training with you?" She asked.
"Yes and no." Michael said and she nodded.
"Rika if you want, we can train you in a few things to help you. You won't be a full student like Kasumi, but we can help with your natural talents." Ko said and she nodded both understanding and wanting the help. They got to work with Rika while supervising Kasumi, mixing her powers.
The parents came back carrying stuff into the house and went to make lunch as the girls came in from the backyard. Ace was coming down to join them for lunch before doing his training with the twins. Kasumi didn't change much this time, but she was learning on controlling her energy and finding how her elements mix with each other. Rika grew a bit from the twins helping her. Her head would reach her renamon's nose while her arms and legs grew more from the training. She was slowly developing a 4-pack abs, it will take time.
"You and your renamon will be training together after lunch so be prepared or you will not enjoy your stay with us." Ko said to Ace with a smirk and Ace felt a chill go up his spine.
After 3 hours passed by, Ace and his partner were on the ground panting from the hardest workout they were put through. Ace wasn't thinking about the pain, but he was trying to get up to keep going. A pair of hands stopped him from getting up and hurting himself even more. He noticed that the twins had a smile aimed at him and his partner.
"Don't rush. We pushed you two extremely hard to show we don't hold back on the ones we train. Rika is a part time student, but could be one of my wife when she is ready. Kasumi is only our student in martial arts while having her own powers. You two will be our full time students when you two are ready and not before." Ko explained as Michael was healing both Ace and his partner.
"You have the potential and the drive, but it's not time yet." Michael said
"So take it easy for a minute before we get back to training you two. It will be easier for you since we got a sense of your work ethic and we like what we see." Ko said as he gave Ace and his partner a flask each before they emptied both of them in 5 seconds. Soon both of them were up and stretching before the twins had to hold them steady.
"Take a break and we will move on to the group training after dinner." Michael said, leading them to the couch and went to take down the seals with Ko for now.
Ace heard Rika coming over to him as she was carrying a notebook and Kasumi came over as well to sit on the other side of Rika. Rika knows that drawing is something that he and Takato have in common.
"I still think you pulled a Takato with that digivolution even though you say you didn't draw it." Rika said as they looked through the newly drawn images in the notebook and noticed that most of them were from the beach swim.
Ace simply turned the pages to an unfinished drawing of a fox and there is a resemblance of his renamon's champion form, but it looks different.
"Ok, fine." Rika said knowing she was proven wrong. He returned the pages to where they were and they continued to go backwards in the notebook. Soon they came to another fox style digimon and looked to him.
"Why another fox?" Kasumi asked him.
"Something poked my mind to make this one and I liked it, but it also stayed in the theme. It also has a variation, but I don't remember." Ace said.
The girls and two renamon were surprised to see the skill he has in art, but the pages stopped on the drawing of the tamers and their new digimon forms.
"I'm surprised Takato didn't try to draw himself as a digimon, but I did and there they are. Rikamon and Takatomon really do fit there." Ace said before pointing to part of the page where Guardromon is and Kazu. Both girls were on the floor laughing while both renamon trying to hide their giggles.
"Rikamon looks pretty good as one of us." Her own partner said and there was a faint blush on her face. Getting an idea, he took the notebook and went to draw Kasumi in a small space. He put her normal sized human form center, her digimon form on one side and a fairy size that seemed to be a chibi version of digimon form on the other side.
"Kawaii!" Rika squealed and Kasumi was blushing. Ace and both renamon flinched from the sudden sound ruptured from Rika.
"Where is yours, Ace-kun." His own renamon asked not seeing him with the group on the page.
"Different page." He said. The next page back was him next to a renamon, but it was white mixed with silver, gold eyes like a dragon or a wolf, and black streaks in his fur. Both renamon were blushing at the sight, but they were behind the kids so they were safe. Soon they flipped back through to the first page of the notebook and the first drawing he did.
"Paladinmon, Super Mega level digimon." Rika read the page.
"Probably closer to a super ultimate as an official tier, but could hold that self-made rank if it proves its power." She added and Ace nodded.
"If that one was the one I took form as, then I would have let you be right, Rikamon-chan." Ace teased her with her digimon name and got a playful punch to the shoulder. Rika went to take the notebook back to his room and Ace rested his head on Kasumi's shoulder, but she turned her body and let him rest his head on her bust. Soon Rika came back and got on Ace to make him part of a sandwich before both her and Kasumi giggled seeing him blush.
"Ok you two, stop teasing him and get over here for dinner." The mother said before they let him go free and they went to wash up for dinner. Soon they came back and he was trapped between them again, but they were more ready for food than to keep teasing him.
Dinner was interesting because their mother still made a lot of food like the night when Ace brought Kasumi to his house. The kids plus two digimon ate more than their fair share of the food, but Ace only had a bulge for his stomach while the girls and renamons had over inflated beach balls for stomachs. The twins had left to get something for their own dinner with their wives plus digimon and they would be back soon.
'Well, my body is going to grow bigger again like before.' Kasumi thought back to the first couple of nights where she was stuffed full and her body took that to make it better. Rika was looking forward to seeing the growth of her body with a smile. The three were resting on the couch as Kasumi and Rika were positioned in a way so Ace was using their busts for pillows while letting their stomachs work.
The twins came back from their own dinner and without their digimon cause they were needed back home. They seen the kids and chuckled at them before taking a picture of it.
"Nap time is over and we will make sure you will use that energy for some light training." Ko said waking up the kids and two of them know that it's time to work with their digi-forms.
"Rika, you and your renamon will be with me. We will try to add more to your natural fighting style." Michael said so no one was feeling left out of training. The kids got up as the renamons also got up from their chairs and they went back to the backyard. The twins also set up the seals to make a pseudo time chamber. Michael took Rika and her renamon to the other end of the area.
"Ace, use those three cards to get into your champion forms and stay into the forms as long as possible till you revert." Ko said as Ace nodded before pulling two cards and Kasumi gave him her card.
"Digi-modify: Digivolution Trigger." Ace said as Rena-chan digivolve into her champion form.
"Tamer-Modify: Illumination Digivolution Trigger." Kasumi digivolve into her own champion form.
"Digi-Tamer-Modify: Spirit Digivolution Trigger." He digivolve into his own champion form. Ko watches as the champion level digimon moves around before having a spar. As they were getting on in their spar, Ko had them work to spend more energy.
Soon after a while, the twins were training the three champ digimon into the ground with breaks in-between so they don't overexert themselves. Rika and her renamon were sparring with each other like Ace was doing with his partner during the 10-month break. Rena-chan had gotten the hang of her champion form on the third try. Kasumi and Ace are trying to work the endurance of their bodies and adjust to the forms.
"Must be easier for digimon, but strange for us to get used to it." Ace said as he and Kasumi were sitting in chairs drinking from their 5th flask. Rena-chan looked over to the twins and noticed they had a small hidden smirk about something.
'They know something and want them to keep going.' She thought before hiding a giggle.
Soon it was getting late as the kids and two digimon were napping on the couch again from the hours of training in the portable time chamber. The twins were with the parents in the kitchen drinking tea and munching on some ice cream.
"They have all made it to the level of control we were aiming for and are able to stay in their digi-forms for a good period of time." Ko said as the parents nodded. The twins had already taken the seals down and about ready to go home.
The adults put Kasumi in her bed, Ace in his, and Rika in the guest room. The renamon were sleeping in recliners and were covered with a light blanket each. With the end of the day, the weekend is over and the school week starts over again till the end of semester. Ace is back on his normal sleep pattern and goes to take a shower before anyone else. He is wearing red shorts, green shirt, white windbreaker, and blue converse. He made sure to have everything ready for school later plus leaving his digivice and cards in his bag. Eating a light breakfast after a heavy meal, like last night, he took some bottles of water and went for a run.
'This helps me think while getting some light training like before.' Ace thought. His mind is definitely going over the ability he has with the family heirloom and how his sister was able to be like him. Kasumi soon woke up just after Ace left for his run, but went to take a shower.
'Could it be a combination of the gems and that card?' Kasumi thought while taking her shower. She definitely have questions about the Illumina gems and what they can do. Rika woke up seeing she was in a bed alone so she guessed she was put here being prevented from teasing Ace again with Kasumi again.
After an hour run, Ace returned to the house to clean up for school and eat some real breakfast. Rika and Kasumi passed each other in the hallway, but they noticed their bodies had grown bigger again. Ace heard them moving around upstairs, but went to wake up the two renamon still sleeping in their recliners (like eating a full meal before sleeping in a good recliner. You too will be out like a light). Both renamon look like their bodies had returned back to normal despite eating almost the same amount of food as him and the girls. Both Rika and Kasumi's curves grew slightly bigger, but more defined (their muscles are getting slightly denser, but Kasumi is about 2½x bigger than Hinata in the chest and her ass is slowly filling out. Rika's chest is about 1x bigger than Hinata, but her ass is toned and almost like buns of steel strong). Kasumi is wearing a light blue jean jacket over a pink shirt, a long pleated red and black plaid skirt, high-top socks and shoes. Rika is wearing a long heart skirt with shorts underneath, her full heart top, and normal shoes. Ace had changed his clothes to black leather jacket with a silver shirt underneath, dark blue jeans, and dark brown steel-toed boots. He grabbed his bag before they left the house for school and the renamon were following from the rooftops.
"We need to keep our eyes peeled and plenty of backup strategies since no solid plan survives first contact." Ace said and both girls nodded their heads.
"It applies to life and fighting digimon." Rika said.
"Also to my former work." Kasumi added as both agreed with her. The three agreed to train again in the backyard where they had help from the twins, but Rika and Ace need to train their renamon.
"Good thing today is the last day for that prick to use digimon on us." Rika said and Ace nodded his head.
Soon they made it to the school which was just opening its gates and they slipped inside to their lockers. They had set up their lockers how they like and grabbed the needed books. Their homeroom teacher (Tai's sister or TK's wife, Kari) lets them in and get ready for class, but let Rika teach Kasumi about the Digimon card game. Ace would help teach by being the target and would offer advice which was gladly taken.
(AN: I feel like I have to say this despite being late in the chapter. Ace has been keeping up in his school work even during the 10 months of training for Myotismon's comeback. He still does the work on his own and does not use the card to wish it done. Just because I don't write every time doesn't mean he doesn't do it.)
The day has been going normally as the three hoped, but they know something might happen. Their friends know that there is some tension hanging around, but can't figure out the source. The teachers seem to like the rivalry Ace and Kasumi have, but Rika seemed to join in to keep things interesting. Lunch is another thing that sort of made Ace slightly paranoid, but his friends, sister, and partner kept him sane enough to keep thinking things through. Ace, Kasumi, and Rika made it to their normal lunch table while waiting for the others. It never took the rest of the group long to turn up.
"I have this feeling of dread almost like when I was fighting that Piedmon." Ace said as the girls looked at him concerned.
"We can never tell what that putz is thinking, but this is the last time he tries anything." Rika said, talking about the bully.
"If it's another mega, we fight together as a team." Kasumi said as the rest of their friends popped up.
"We are a team and we fight as one." Takato said. That got him smiles and a peck on the cheek by Jeri. Speaking of her, Jeri has been taught mostly by Rika and Ryo before Ace joined the group. However, Ace was taught by Rika and Jeri before giving Jeri some of his own strategies for her cards. It is a normal lunch since the bully didn't show up so something is bound to happen later like before.
With the school day over, the group was walking out talking about homework and other things. Takato and Jeri walked home together while Henry walked with Alice till they cross Ryo's path. Kenta dragged Kazu away to actually work on homework, but that will be a struggle.
"Just us three again, but it's normal routine at this point." Ace said with a chuckle shaking his head. On the way home, they were talking about training amongst other things like cards that they are planning on getting for their non-combat decks.
"They should be making more." Ace said (he will find out when the future seasons are here).
"Hard to say on that, Ace-kun." Rika said while he gave a nod.
They walked to the park like it was a habit, but something caused a sense of danger in Ace's head. The bully was standing there like an idiot and Ace was slightly gripping his digivice.
"I hope you three like my friends." He said with a cruel smile before the two digivices sounded off signaling digimon in several directions.
"I knew you were going to do something like this." Ace said with a frown. Rika and Kasumi's phones rang before they were answered.
"Takato and Jeri are facing a Puppetmon." Rika said.
"Henry is heading to the position of a MetalSeadramon." Kasumi said before Ace froze.
'Four masters and one still not accounting for.' Ace thought. Rika's digivice had one arrow pointed right in front of them.
"Get them to go ultimate and apply elemental power of fire for Puppetmon and electricity for MetalSeadramon. Work as a team and get Kenta and Kazu to help." Ace said to the girls as his hand went to his deck case. There were heavy thuds like footsteps and Ace had several cards in his hand.
"Rika, this one will need you to be mega since only you can do it for now." Ace said as Rika nodded her head. The twins were standing on a rooftop ready to jump in to help, but something was telling them to wait.
"Renamon, let's warp to mega." Rika said before biomerging to Sakuyamon.
"Tamer-Modify: Illumination Digivolution Trigger." Ace said as Kasumi went into her champion form.
"Digi-modify: Digivolution Trigger." Rena-chan went to her champion form.
"Digi-Tamer-Modify: Spirit Evolution Trigger." Ace went through to bis own form. Out of the mist came the thudding sounds belonging to a Machinedramon.
"Infinite Hand." Machinedramon said before trying to fire an energy beam from its cannon hand.
"Crystal Sphere." Sakuyamon said, slamming her staff down forming a barrier around her two digi-allies. It protected them, but she might not be able to do it again.
"It would be that powerful still." Samuraimon said with a narrow look under his mask.
"Great Tornado." Was called out as Wargreymon appeared and cut down the Machinedramon like sashimi. Walking up the digi-humans, Tai gave them a thumbs up.
"Thanks for holding them off, but let us help you every once in a while." He said.
"Rena-chan take that data. There won't be a need for that one to reform as an egg." Samuraimon said as his partner did just that before the digimon returned to normal.
"I had to help with the MetalSeadramon before coming here since only something that can kill dramon type digimon can kill those two. Matt went to help your friends with Puppetmon." Tai said and the five nodded happily to have help from the original heroes.
(AN: By now, anyone from the first or second generation could kill the other three dark masters, but the founder won't show up till far in the future as he can copy certain attacks. Wargreymon just had an advantage.)
"To think you would sink this low." Ace said as something was almost ready to break in him. Ace felt a hand on his shoulder before turning to see the former leader giving him a calming smile helping him keep cool.
"People like them are sore losers. They already lost and won't accept it till reality shoves it into their face." Tai said, getting the three to nod at his words. The bully was gritting his teeth before letting out a whistle to signal something.
"We are going to stop you right there." Ko said before their digimon warp digivolve to their mega forms, Magnadramon and Kuzuhamon. The two megas blasted the hidden surprise before reverting to normal forms. The twins with frowns on their faces went to the bully and knocked him out before taking him into deal with Yamaki.
"To let you in on a secret, we help make a special room for someone like this." Michael said before they left carrying the bully like a sack of rotten potatoes.
"I almost wanted him to say something about you two or my parents so I beat him to a near pulp again." Ace said with a sigh.
"That means you care about them, but don't go looking for revenge." Tai said, patting his back.
"Also take your time training and don't give into anger. You have friends to keep you on the ground." Tai added before he and his Agumon went to walk home. Ace was hugged by Kasumi and Rika while both renamon were patting his back.
"He is right about that last one, but we have more of a reason to keep you on the ground." Rika said, kissing his cheek, Kasumi kissed the other one, and both renamon kissed his head. They all walked to the Kamen house so they can be ready for some more training with the twins or with their father.
It turned out to be a relatively peaceful walk minus one last intermission from the bully. Ace felt his pocket and pulled two cards. "Wargreymon's Dramon Killer." Ace read the card before seeing a third copy and giving it to Rika.
"Must have slipped that in my pocket." He said as they made it home before sitting on the couch.
"I will be training you while the twins are busy with a certain guest." Their father said and they nodded.
They had gotten a snack before training with their teacher till he was worn out. Both renamon were training with each other and the twins digi-partners. After an hour, the twins came back with semi dark looking grins on their faces.
"We can set up the seals and let you train how you want, but there will be no group training tonight." Michael said and the kids nodded. Soon the seals were up and Kasumi went back to training to mix her elements and get some new ideas for her digimon form. Rika and Ace were training together as they were trained by the same teacher in the beginning. Three hours passed by on the outside so the mother was making dinner and it is a special one, but not to make too much of it like before. Rika was placed on the couch to nap off the training as Kasumi was testing Ace in their own styles.
In rika's dream:
In Rika's dream, is the park of sakura trees walking with Ace, Kasumi, and both renamon. She had given him a kiss on the cheek before giggling. Her own partner had a smirk before kissing her cheek and playfully licking her lips. The tamers stared at her with Rika turning a full tomato red and the other two were trying not to fall over laughing. Rena-chan had gotten a smirk before kissing Kasumi's cheek and she turned the same shade of red.
"Rika-chan, why have you been training like this?" Dream Ace asked with a serious look on his face.
"I have been training not only to stand with you and Kasumi-chan, but also to protect our friends and those that can't protect themselves." Rika said before he smiled and gave a nod.
"A good reason indeed." He said, kissing her head.
The smell of food is bringing Rika back from the realm of dreams and Ace had a full plate for her. Good news that it was still hot. Unknown to the two that the card in her own deck case had a faint glow and gained a red fire-like frame, but it's still mostly blank.
"Kaa-chan just made it so you didn't miss a thing." He said as she went to sit up and he went to get his own plate.
"Both mom and dad will be going out tonight as they need a night away from the house." He said sitting next to her. They ate their dinner in silence and it was something they felt was needed for a moment.
"How has the training been for you?" Rika asked between bites of her food.
"Slowly making progress, but it felt easier with you since we had the same teacher in the beginning. With Rena-chan and Kasumi-chan, it was like having you jump in our rivalry at school and it was fun. With Kasumi-chan though, she is making her own progress and I know she will have something of a new surprise to use on the next digimon that tries attacking us." Ace explained sipping some water so his voice won't be parched.
"Good to know that the twins are doing their job." Rika said, pointing her fork at him.
Ace took Rika home to make sure that her mother and grandmother weren't thinking that she was kidnapped by his mother. He also had given them some of the leftovers from dinner as a gift. He went to his own bed after getting back to the house and the digimon were still training in the sealed chamber. It turned to midnight before the twins took the digimon out before taking the seals down and feeding the digimon some of the food the mother made. Ko carried Rika's renamon home as Michael carried Rena-chan to her recliner and covered her with a light blanket. While their digimon were resting up, the twins were looking up at the stars as it was a pastime for them.
"Davis and the others should be on the way here and been training like we had sent that message." Ko said in a low tone.
"It's definitely going to be a while before that datapire shows up again. I think there will be one coming before that one returns." Michael said.
"Things are definitely getting interesting, but we will have to step-in if we have to." Ko replied
Meanwhile in a secret room, there were pretty flowers and a single tree while happy music was playing. Hanging on a branch was a cocoon made from wormmon and other non-poisonous digimon with a struggling person trying to get free or yelling to stop the music. The music kept playing and some digimon were adding to the misery by having fun.

The twins were laughing at the last time they dealt with the bully and it felt sweet putting him in that room. It didn't matter if he had shown up at school because he was going to be expelled from it and his digimon privileges revoked. The parents tried, but nothing worked for them. Ace, Kasumi, and their parents never had a grudge with them and the twins believe that the parents have a troublesome child that needs a harsh lesson soon.
Morning came by as Ace woke up before dawn again and got his clothes for a shower. He wasn't thinking much of anything, but he felt happy which didn't happen in a long time. Taking a longer shower than normal, he switched the water from hot to cold and let it hit him for a moment. Ace came down to eat breakfast with his partner, Kasumi, their parents, and their digimon. He is wearing an orange shirt, red pants, yellow jacket, and socks with his normal shoes.
"Morning." He greeted the family and ate a medium size breakfast.
'It's weird to have a sense of peace after that idiot tamer was taken in.' Ace thought while he was walking with Kasumi to school. They made it and went to their lockers for their gym clothes (there is a girl locker room and a boy locker room). Kasumi had her Ipod for her music and he had an Mp3 with his own music as they walk the track.
When they walk a lap, they notice Rika sitting in the stands and wave her over. They went back to walking around till it was closer for homeroom to start. They took their showers to freshen up as Rika had a change of clothes and went to get their books. The school day seems to fly by and the lunch bell rang. Ace got his before going to the usual table while Rika and the other tamers came to join him talking about homework and other things. With the end of lunch, they and the other students went back to class to focus on their studies.
Meanwhile, the twins are sitting on the rooftop of a tall building and talking with two other people.
"Yeah, we sent that message for a reason and that reason with several of your own should be enough to get back to training even if it was just for a few hours. Malomyotismon will be coming again and we don't have a timetable to work with yet. Focus on what you can do and save any DNA digivolution for training when you can meet up with the double twins." Ko explained the situation.
"Both T.K. and Kari have been here since they have jobs as a teacher and a school principal. Set times up with them and meet with them in the digi-world." Michael said on the other line with another person. They hung up before laying on the roof with a sigh.
"They can make it with a certain dragon mode, they still need to be training before we actually get that timetable." Ko said.
"I think at most we have to wait on what happens and hope for the best." Michael said.
"And prepare for the worst." Ko finished the saying. They shared a cheer of their flasks and went to drink, preventing a headache.
Chapter 7 is revamped and got the word count at the level over 10k. Did the joke badly, but I don't care. This has been a mess fixing and deciding on how much I actually had to take out.
However, it was a pleasure to fix this and make it new. Now, I can work on chapter 8 and hope I don't get stuck again.
