A/N: Actually, I had written this on Sunday but at that time I was planning to publish it with the second half also included. But then today I decided that I want let these two beautiful queens have a chapter to themselves.

Reason why I'm updating quickly is because I have to submit 8 term papers by the end of October and every time I open MS Word to start typing, this happens. I also have my Japanese language mid-sem test tomorrow, so don't be surprised if the next chapter is up today itself.

Scripturiens : Okay I totally didn't remember the part about Koushiro being athletic T.T And wow thank you for your sweet review, it made my day!

soojinah: I'm hoping that tri has a different ending than 02 and through some miracle, Yamato and Mimi get married forrealz! Thank you for your review!

Mimi felt that it was a little unfair that they were blessed with such a pleasant weather on a weekday. This type of feeling should be reserved especially for Sundays, she thought as she stared out of the window at the refreshing blue sky. The slight wind flowing through the window and directly hitting her face was tranquilizing and was making her giddy and lazy at the same time. Her mind was filled with thoughts of an Iced Americano and the comfy retreat of her bed with her favourite novel in her hand and Yamato-kun sitting across her scribbling in his notebook, probably writing a song about how much he loved her…

Thud.

Mimi's eyes snapped wide open as her head hit her desk unexpectedly. She raised her head and rubbed her temple with a disappointed pout on her face, if she had been a little careful, then the dream could've continued on for a few more minutes, possibly up until Yamato-kun serenaded her and chocolate fell from the sky like rain.

"Had a good dream?"

The brunette looked at the girl standing next to the window, she had her back to Mimi but she could tell that the auburn haired girl was gazing at the club activities taking place on the field, specifically the soccer club.

"Sora-chan don't you have club work as well?"

"Ah, I'm taking a break for a while. I told you right? About learning Ikebana." Sora replied turning away from the window and facing Mimi with a small smile.

"Hmm, you did." Mimi nodded, as she remembered their phone conversation from the previous night. The two had ended up talking for almost two hours and her dad had been annoyed as to why Mimi couldn't just get off her bed and walk to Sora's house instead of running up their phone bill.

Mimi looked around the classroom and saw that it was empty except for her and Sora-chan. She recalled that Yamato-kun had left immediately after school ended, he had looked a little anxious with his phone in hand, not bothering to give an explanation to the others as he ran out. Taichi and Kou-chan had then proceeded for their respective clubs and it was around that time that Mimi might've fallen asleep.

"You should've woken me up, Sora-chan!"

"But you looked so happy and cute, I didn't want to." Sora chuckled and then grinning she held up her phone and added, "I took a photo."

"Kyaaahh, delete it! Delete it!" Mimi got up from her seat and lunged at her friend, trying to snatch her phone.

Sora easily evaded all of her attempts and laughed, "Not before I send it to Yama."

Mimi immediately regretted admitting her feelings to Sora because it seemed like Taichi's mischievous side had rubbed off on her as well. She deadpanned and hissed, "You can't. You absolutely can't."

"Hmm, maybe I won't. He'd probably have a nosebleed looking at it anyway. You look quiet inviting in this one." Sora smirked and winked at her.

Mimi instantly squealed and shut her eyes, she could feel the blush rising on her entire existence at the thought of Yamato-kun thinking about her in that way.

"Calm down, jeez I was just kidding." Sora muttered, cringing at Mimi's shrill voice.

Mimi sank back into her seat and took a few deep breaths in order to remove the various impossible images flooding her brain and after a few minutes, she regained composure over herself.

"Which reminds me, why are we waiting here? Won't you be late for class?" She somehow managed to face Sora with a straight face.

"Oh the classes don't start until next week and well I…" A shadow passed over Sora's face as she tried her best to maintain her smile but it had lost its meaning now and only came off as forced and rigid, "I had called out to Taichi when he was leaving for Soccer that I'll wait for him but…he didn't even turn around so I wasn't sure about…" She trailed off, her gaze falling to the floor.

Sora had told the brunette everything that had happened over the phone yesterday. The minute Mimi heard all of it, she insisted on running to Sora's house and enveloping her in a huge, warm hug but the auburn haired girl had said that she didn't like crying in front of other people so it would be best if they talked over the phone. Mimi respected her space yesterday but right now, looking at her friend trying to hold back tears and maintain her trademark polite smile, she couldn't stop herself from getting up and pulling Sora towards her and then wrapping her arms tightly around the other girl. Sora immediately returned the hug, burying her face in Mimi's shoulders and a few minutes later, Mimi felt a small wetness on the sleeve of her shirt. Her grip around Sora tightened.

"I told him that…all he has to do is talk to her. Get her to like him and it will be fine." Sora struggled to speak between sobs, "He said…that he's not the type who begs for people's approval…he said I've broken his heart, how can I expect him to stay by my side now, but what about me? What about my heart?"

"Tai-chan is quite stubborn, isn't he." Mimi mumbled as she stroked the back of Sora's head with her left hand, hoping to sooth her.

"He's mad at me for taking up flower-arrangement but I'm only doing it for him. If I do everything my mother asks of me, then maybe she won't care about who I date. But of course, he doesn't see it that way. He thinks I'm turning into her pet robot or something!"

"Where does Tai-chan even get these ideas…" Mimi muttered quietly.

Sora held onto Mimi, sobbing quietly into her shoulders for some more time. Mimi obviously had no objections since she never backed away from physical affection and comfort. She supported the auburn haired girl till she had relived herself of all the emotions that she so desperately tried to control.

Mimi knew that Sora-chan was the kind of person who didn't like talking about her problems with other people. Whenever somebody ever asked her if she was fine, she would return the question instead of answering it and then they would end up discussing the other person's problem. Even on the phone yesterday, it had taken a while before she had admitted to Mimi that things were not alright between her and Taichi. Of course Mimi had hurriedly called her to check up on her but Sora ended up asking her if she was alright and then the brunette couldn't stop herself from pouring out everything about Yamato-kun and it wasn't until after that Sora mentioned her fight with Taichi.

Someone as sorted like Sora losing control of herself, really put things into perspective for Mimi. Hearing her cry over the phone had been really painful for the brunette, even right now when the auburn haired girl was voluntarily returning the hug, made Mimi realize just how much Taichi affected her whole being.

"But Sora-chan, can't you just lie to her? Or hide it from her?"

"Mimi, if this was some small crush or a high school fling, I would've done that. But I know that Taichi is it, he is the one. And I want my mother to accept him, I don't want to run away from her."

Sora-chan's words from their previous night's conversation flowed into her head and Mimi told herself that the minute she saw Tai-chan she was going to set him straight. His bratty behaviour had now reached its peak and he needed to be brought back down to earth. To think he was putting his pride before Sora-chan, really made her blood boil.

Standing in that empty classroom, with the sky slowly turning orange, Mimi wondered whether some day they would be in this position again with their roles reversed and Mimi crying her eyes out over some fight with Yamato-kun or crying because he rejected her. She hadn't thought it possible, that two people like Sora-chan and Taichi who fit together like puzzle pieces were capable of hurting each other so deeply. A slight shiver ran down her spine as she realized that if this was the case, then two people like her and Yamato-kun who were poles apart from each other, could be capable of causing a damage that would be irreparable.

Sora clutched Mimi tightly one last time before letting her go, she faced the brunette with a sad smile, "Mimi, thank you. This means so much to me, I can't ev-"

"Shush, this is what are friends are for silly!" Mimi grinned brightly at her, hoping to infect her friend with some of her own happiness. She was about to suggest Sora-chan to wash her face when suddenly her phone vibrated loudly from her bag. Sora was busy wiping her face with a handkerchief so Mimi turned around to take out her phone and check the text.

"It's from Yamato-kun!"

Sora jumped in surprise at Mimi's sudden outburst and she couldn't stop the small grin from appearing as she watched Mimi jump and twirl around with happiness and excitement. Just a minute ago, Sora had been feeling sad and disheartened but now she couldn't stop Mimi's huge grin from infecting her as well. She was able to muster up a small smile as she watched the brunette dance excitedly and it crossed her mind that emotions are so vulnerable, all it takes is for someone else to come and show you something new and immediately you're able to move past the solemnity of your own self.

"Are you going to read it or what?" Sora asked impatiently as she herself was very curious about what the blond had to say so suddenly.

"Oh. Yes, I should do that." Mimi smiled sheepishly and viewed the message, Sora peeked in from next to her.

"Takeru was in a fight.

Not hurt that badly, but he wants to see you.

He's resting at my place. Come if you can."
