Max's POV

Avengers Tower

I woke up at 6:00 in the morning, I just couldn't sleep knowing that today, in 3 hours I was going to see my sister. I wondered if she had changed at all. I mean she had always been the strong silent type with her secrets though what secrets an eight year old girl could have was beyond me.

I remember that she had snuck out a lot at night and was never very popular with other kids or adults. She had a habit of getting on the wrong side of adults and most kids when she didn't talk to them. She had always stuck up to Bully's too, you know, bringing them down a few pegs, punching them in the face normally.

She also didn't get around to socializing or played sports so she didn't hang out with the jocks or popular kids. She also wasn't artsy or a genius kid so neither of those groups either. She wasn't a goth. She was loner, and didn't talk to anyone but me.

I did push her to try those things and she did try them but she wasn't any good at any of them. In soccer she got hit with the balls too many times and couldn't kick a ball if her life depended on it. She could only draw stick men.

She did get along great with little kids though. She also got in a trouble a lot, with the nun's or the school, she just had a way of attracting trouble.

I was going to a foster home who didn't want a girl too and when I came back she was gone. I asked around but no one had seen her. We filled a missing persons report but they didn't find her. They dropped it about 2 years ago saying that she probably wasn't going to be found.

I missed her. Key word being missed. She was coming home now. I looked for her. She's part of the reason I had my inhuman powers.

While I was looking for her I went into an alleyway. For some reason there was a terrigene crystal there and I stepped on it and went through terrigenisis. Long story short that's how I got my power. And it's the most ridiculous orgin story ever.

I got the power to shape shift so that was pretty cool though. I can only speak to animals when in that animals form and only to that animals species. It was a little annoying to be honest.

Soon after I had meet Daisy and Daniel and their foster daughter Lily. They started fostering me and when I was ten and Lily thirteen they adopted us. That's when I told them about Susan, Felix, she goes by Felix now.

They agreed to help me find her and when I described her to them they had said that they heard of a girl who was kidnapped by Hydra a few years back. About the same time that Susan, Felix!, was taken. They said she was part of a project called trident to increase her number of powers from one to two because apparently she was an inhuman like me.

They also said that she had escaped a month ago and that now she was somewhere but that they would find her.

And they had! I mean it took three year but they found her! I couldn't wait to see her again. Knowing that I couldn't and wouldn't be able to sleep anymore I got out of bed and got changed.

"Jarvis common floor. I'm hungry."

"Of course sir."

As I stepped of the elevator I saw Lily and all the other adults up already. Lily was talking to Alya about things, probably science, and the adults were talking about adult stuff.

I headed for the kitchen and poured my self a bowl of Lucky charms. I sat down at the table pulled out my head phones and phone and started watching Brooklyn 99. I really love that show. Like honestly I could watch it over and over again.

I was half way through my second episode when Mom came into the dining room and pulled off my headphones.

"No devices at the table and put your dish in the sink!"

She must me very nervous cause she was a bit more strict this morning. Dad cam in right after her and followed her to the kitchen to get breakfast. I put my dish in the sink and went to the common room, sat down and returned to watching Brooklyn 99.

2 and a half hours later

"Come on! Let's go we're gonna be late!" Yelled Mom. I rushed into the elevator right before the doors closed.

"You just barely got here in time. Mom would be sooo mad if you had to catch the next one and made us late." She said. I just rolled my eyes at her.

"Hey you exited to see her again though?"

"Of course!"

"Do think she changed at all since the last time you saw her? It has been five years. What do think her powers are?"

"No idea. Guess we'll find out when we see her. You exited to have two new little siblings?"

"Yup. I wonder if either of them will be into science. Me and Alya would love a new science buddy."

"Last time I checked Sus-Felix wasn't into science and Michael I don't know."

The elevator doors opened we walked the lobby and out the doors to see a limo waiting for us.

"A little fancy, Tony!" Said Coulson and Daisy rolled her eyes but they still got in.

The limo was nice though.

Thirty minutes later

We walked through the doors of the orphanage. It was about as bad as the one we were at before. The paint on the walls were pealing and there a bunch of kids running around.

An old nun, very old, like 80 stepped up to meet Mom.

"Hello, I am Head Sister Margret, you must be Mrs.Johnson."

"Yes and this is my husband Daniel, daughter Lily, son Max, parents, and brothers and sisters-in-law."

Sister Margret just nodded her head. "It is nice to meet you. If you would follow me to my office, please?"

And with that she started walking away. We followed her and passed by what I assume was common area.

The walls were pealing off even more and toys littered the floor. There were kids all over the place but only one caught my eye.

She had her back to us sitting on the couch and looked to be drawing. She had streaks of blue in her dark brown hair. I just knew it was Felix.

The nun opened a door and walked inside, my parents and the others following her inside.

When I walked in I closed the door behind me seeing as I was the last one in.

"So I understand that you would like to foster Susan and Michael?" She asked.

"Yes that is correct." Said Dad.

"Well if you could just sign here, here, and here. And the same on this page."

It seemed as though she was rushing things, like she wanted them out. I didn't like her.

Mom and Dad stepped forward to sign the papers. They picked up a pen and signed the first one,Michael's, and just as they were about to sign Felix's when...

Suddenly the door was opened to reveal another nun. She was holding a boy, very loose like she likes him more than the other kid. He had a slowly forming black eye.

The other kid she was holding, she holding tighter. She had blue streaks in her hair and brown eyes. Course she got in trouble. I smiled and silently laughed to myself. I was standing in the back of the small room, near the door, and behind all the others, so I doubt she saw me.

She was wearing jeans that were a size to big and ripped, a shirt also with holes and also to big. Some of the holes in her clothes though looked oddly enough like bullet holes.

"I'm terribly sorry to interrupt Sister Margret but these two got into a fight. Susan here," Felix sighed at the name,"was bullying little Michael and when Zak stepped into stop it she punched him." She said.

Felix rolled her eyes at the her bullying Michael part and him stepping in, and I doubt that she was actually doing it too. She did smile a little at the punching the Zak part though.

Then though, now here's the weird part she actually sniffed the air. Then an unrecognizable look crossed her face but she quickly dismissed it.

"Thank you Sister Cara. You can go now." Sister Cara nodded and left the room leaving Zak and Felix behind.

"Susan did you really punch him?"

Felix nodded and actually smiled a bit. The Zak guy probably deserved it.

"Were you bullying Michael?"

Felix frowned and that and shook her head no. She hasn't changed a bit from what I can tell so far.

"She's wrong, Sister Margret. I caught her pushing Michael down and tried to step in to stop her and she told me to back off. Then she punched me." Zak said.

"That will be all Zak. Thank you for stepping in. You may go now." Zak smirked at Felix and I could have sworn I heard her growl.

"Susan I expected better of you." Sister Margret said as she shook her head. "Go pack you thing and hope that this nice family will still take you in. Then wait outside. Oh and please tell Michael to pack up his stuff too please."

Felix eyed us warily then turned and walked out the door.

"I hope you will excuse her attitude. I hope you will still take them home. I really do apologize for her behavior. Are you sure that you would still like to take her home though?"

I could tell that Mom was biting back saying something and to be honest I was too. I think everyone was. No one liked this nun.

Dad just said "Of course we would still like to take her home." Malice was clear in his voice.

Dad and Mom both signed the papers and now Felix was finally coming home with us! It felt like it took a lifetime for them to sign the papers.

"If that will be all?" Asked Mom.

"Yes you may take them home now if you wish."

"We would." Said Dad.

Now we were all shuffling out and headed for the door.

On the way out Lily whispered to me "Sister Margret sucks." With a smile.

I smiled and whispered back "Sister Margret sucks."
