Tsunagu sighed in relief when he saw the vigilante's return to their usual patrol routes. No matter if he was working or not he was always keeping an eye on what they were doing. From what he could tell Katsuki was doing the same.
Katsuki had been quiet since he came to live with Tsunagu. He was nothing like the brash hot-headed teenager he was expecting. The kid had a mouth on him there was no denying that. But when he thought he was alone Tsunagu had seen a vulnerability that he was sure no one else had. He always seemed to be looking off at something in the distance. It worried the Number 4 Hero more than he would normally let on.
Katsuki's hands had healed well but there would be lasting scars. He was still going through physical therapy but it would end in a week or two. Tsunagu began to leave him alone in the apartment today. His ward wanted to get caught up on his crew to ensure he was a better hero. Tsunagu made a promise that he would help whenever the boy needed him to. Whether that was getting him more materials or tutoring him it was up to the child.
Building trust between them was key if he was ever to find out what was going on. Current circumstances had him trusted with looking after a friend. Yet he wasn't trusted to know the full truth of the situation. A full truth they had trusted to a fourteen-year-old. It confused and irritated him but all he could do was wait. Wait and continue to dig into what tidbits he had been given.
All For One and Shigaraki, in particular, had his interest. They were names that despite his searching he could not find much of anything on. Shigaraki was not a name that had been seen since the early quirk era. During that time it wasn't well known either. Police record what few remained indicated a pair of brothers that were orphaned. The older of the two was just barely old enough to take over custody of the younger.
What made Tsungu was the amount of hate in the reports. Several officers made note that the older should not have custody because he had a quirk. The young according to them did not. They also said that he shouldn't have access to his inheritance which wasn't much because he had a quirk. Two hundred years ago was the exact opposite of their current mindset it seemed. The quirked were hated and discriminated against rather than the quirkless.
Reports of what happened to the brothers varied after the initial discharge. Some said the older was part of organized crime. Others thought he was just a good kid in way over his head. From what he could find no one could prove he did anything illegal.
There wasn't much on Shigaraki's name after that point. Just a single death certificate of the younger brother. The cause of death was unknown but he was sickly. It could have just been an illness that finally got the best of him. Though Tsunagu's gut told him there was more to this.
His search for All For One was less than fruitful. A few reports were dating back to the time of Shigaraki. A man who could take and give quirks at will. It was thought that he was a criminal at the time but because of people wanting to get rid of their quirks, it was difficult to get confirmation. No one wanted to rat out the person who gave them their lives back.
When the quirk wars happened however most documents were destroyed. For almost 100 years he couldn't find anything. It shouldn't have been possible for him to come across anything newer in records. To his surprise and fear, he did find something. Files that went up to five years ago. Files even with his high levels of clearance he couldn't access. Something was wrong here. Very wrong.
No matter what he did Tsunagu couldn't access any of the files. This caused him to grit his teeth in frustration and anger. A part of him wanted to throw things or shout in anger. Only the thought of his image and the possibility of one of his sidekicks seeing stopped him. They didn't need to see that.
A ping from his phone drew him from his thoughts. It was one of his interns. Pro Hero Sir Nighteye was downstairs waiting to speak with him. He wondered what that could be about.

This was a terrible idea. Twice in the last few weeks, Izuku and Charlie had against Echo's protests broken into UA. Both times he had left files for Eraserhead. This time they were messing with the Rat God who ruled the school.
Between Izuku and Charlie was a box they were trying to not jostle it too much. In it was a pink and black glitter bomb they had created. As soon as it was opened a small burst of air would cover the person in glitter. They had lined the package expertly to avoid their trap being discovered. Echo was going to murder the two of them when he found out.
Quietly they found Nezu's office and thankfully it was empty. No doubt he had gone home for the night. Wherever the rat called home. In his previous trips he mapped out the school. On it was the most important areas marked on it. Also on the map was all the cameras.
Izuku doubled checked his map for the camera position. Nezu did not have a camera in his office but he did have a microphone. They would have to be silent when they entered. Luckily for them they had trained in silent communications before the return.
Silently he pushed the grate open so that he could drop into the office. There wasn't even a squeak of a thud as both he and the box landed with Charlie close behind. Quickly they set up the box on the rat's desk. Izuku gave a quick look around the office. It was stylized towards the guarantee that would visit. Even the desk was inporportionate to its owner. It was interesting to see how far he would go to ensure his students were comfortable.
It almost made him feel bad for what he was about to subject them to. He and Charlie then exchanged a look before they laughed silently. Nope they didn't feel bad at all.
Izuku gave Charlie a boost back into the vent before pulling himself up and replacing the vent cover. They quickly exited and returned to their hideout. Where lo and behold a very angry Echo was waiting for them as stripped off their gear.
Izuku quipped easily, "You didn't expect us to leave it alone after that trap last week. They needed to be shown that we won't tolerate that."
"So you glitter bombed the rat?! Do you want to die?!"
Izuku gave a sharp grin as he said, "What do you mean? The rat won't be able to prove which of us did it."
"He will go after all of us," snapped back Echo but it sounded tired.
"That's half the fun," playfully replied Izuku.
That caused all of his second in command's self control to snap. He grabbed up the nearest weapon, a spoon and charge at the two younger teenagers. Izuku and Charlie yelped in surprise before jumping apart. Unsurprisingly Echo continued after Izuku chasing him out into the alleyway then into the streets.
Despite the later hour Izuku felt no exhaustion as he ducked and dodged his friend. He would let him get close before laughing and putting distance between them again. Echo's shaggy dirty blond hair fell into his fierce blue eyes.
It only took a few moments for Charlie to join them. A game of tag that involved chasing the others around with a spoon began. Orion watched from an upper window as the teenagers finally acted their ages. Smiling and laughing freely without worry of what was to come tomorrow. It was good to see.

When Nezu came back to his office early Tuesday morning he was surprised to find a package on his desk. Normally he was the first to come into the school and the last to leave. He had yet to receive a message from one of his teachers. They usually would do so if they left him anything in his office.
Without touching it Nezu checked over the package. It was medium in size. Too big for it to be a file or anything else he would get from his teachers. He couldn't find any traps or possible explosives of the outside. Still he was cautious when he was opening it.
As soon as it had opened there was a pop and for a moment he thought nothing had happened. Then he saw the shimmering on his once prestine white fur. He was covered in pink and black glitter.
The muscles above his eye twitched in annoyance. His tail went back and forth also showing his annoyance. Someome did not value their career. When he found out who they would learn why one does not mess with him.
