DISCLAIMER:
Welcome to the sixth episode of this story. Will this be the best story as Cody claims? And who will be the girl in his story? Found out right now.

Cody's Story
"Ok, guys, take your seats and fill your glasses because this is the most awesome story you'll hear tonight," said Cody, his eyes sparkling thanks to the fire's light.
"With that introduction. I hope it's at least interesting," said Alejandro leaning on his chair, "and not about what happened with Sierra during the 4th season yacht trip."
Cody winced, looking with wide eyes at the Spaniard. "I don't know how you know about that since you weren't there. But no, it's not that story."
"I was there. I was the robot that gave you the baby oil and the wine for that night," Alejandro winked at him. "And also Sierra published the whole story on her adult's blog."
"Gosh! She also had an adult's blog?" With that one, she had at least 65 distinct blogs, including 1 for each contestant," complained Harold, folding his arms. "Alejandro, do you have the URL address of the adult's one?"
"Can you do that later?" said Cody narrowing his eyes at them, "As I was saying this story began some years ago-"
"It's the story about your encounter with that Emily, the flight attendant that you met on our America Tour? That girl was hot, not as hot as me, but hot," interrupted Justin, looking at himself in the reflection of his drink.
"I think it's the story when he disappeared with that cute psychic we met during the Total Drama Special. The blondie that gave Cody a Reiki in his hotel room," said Trent, raising his cup.
"NO and NO! and stop interrupting. You'll find out what's the story in a moment," said Cody scowling at his former bandmates.
This story is from when I was young. It was the April before the Total Drama Summer. I was enjoying my first year of high school. I wasn't the super popular Codemeister I'm now, just the president of my own club, honor student, and one of the best-looking guys at the school.
On that fateful day, I was going home after my club activities, and then I saw some thugs from the football team harassing a girl. I couldn't allow that, so I went to defend her.
"Hey you! Stay away from her!" I shouted, rolling up my sleeves.
The two guys glared at me, and I glared back at them, balling my fists.
Annotation: Duncan
"Stop right there!" interrupted Duncan, leaving his beer on the floor. "Are you telling us you beat some Football players? Some guys like DJ and Geoff here?" He patted DJ and Geoff's shoulders.
DJ and Geoff blinked a couple of times and then flexed their arms.
Of course, I couldn't beat them. In fact the brutes got angry and gave me a beating. Luckily Lewis and Gilbert from my club brought a teacher who stopped the 'fight.' So I ended only with a broken lip and some dirt on my clothes.
"Are you ok?" asked me the girl, putting a handkerchief against my lip.
I had never seen her before. It was a beautiful brunette with pale skin and black eyes like onyx, taller than me, but not too much, and a curvaceous body. She was dressed in a denim skirt with a Maroon-5's t-shirt.
"Of course," I replied, but honestly, all my body ached. "And you, are you ok?"
"Yes," she added, blushing. "thank you."
Her smile was beautiful, so beautiful that even an expert like me blushed, "My name is Cody, Ni-"
"Oh no, I'm late, sorry I have to go now. Thanks again," she said and went away running.
I kept staring at her, with her handkerchief drying the blood on my lip, completely dumbfounded.
Annotation: Alejandro
"Y una mierda [1], I can't believe it, " said Alejandro glaring at the brunette boy.
"I know it's hard to believe that they beat me so badly. But, awesome as I'm, fighting isn't my forte," said Cody making finger guns at the Spaniard.
Alejandro glared at him. "That isn't the part I'm calling bullshit."
"Let him continue. It's ugly to be jealous of his story," said Justin, smiling while glaring at Alejandro.
The Archvillain put a hand over his chest and frowned at the male model. "I, jealous of Cody? Hahaha, no way. Please small amigo continue with your story."
Well, I was lovestruck. It was a strange sensation because usually, the girls are the ones that fall for me and not the other way around. But I had no clues about her identity, only a blue handkerchief.
I asked around, and nobody knew anything about her, not even in the club. I was about to give up, but luck was on my side, and fate brought us together. We were in the same math class. Her name was Julia Montgomery, and she was an exchange student from Manitoba. But moved here because of her father's job.
At the end of the class, I returned her handkerchief. She thanked me, but we didn't chat. She said she needed to go to the library and left me there, more dumbfounded than before.
But they don't call me Codemeister, the coolest kid on Upper Crust College for nothing. I knew she was avoiding me, but why?
So I started to try all the tricks on the book and some new ones. I found she was an only child and lived with her parents in Lawrence Park, at the North of the city. She didn't have many friends and usually spent her afternoons in the library, reading poetry.
Annotation: Duncan
"So, after she gave you the cold shoulder, you started to stalk her? I didn't know the cool kids' book had that kind of tricks," said Duncan, smirking.
Cody glared at the delinquent. "I wasn't stalking her! We at the club were only gathering information to know her better and protect her in case the football club targeted her again."
"My club, my club, my club. You keep talking about your club, but you haven't told us what that club was, The science club, the engineering club, the chess club?" asked Noah raising an eyebrow.
Trent, Harold, and Justin chuckled while Cody rubbed his neck.
"I was president of the alberteinstenfanclub," said Cody blushing, saying the last part as quickly as possible.
"Pardon?" said DJ chuckling, "Did you say the Albert Einstein Fanclub? Is that a thing?" He couldn't believe what he heard.
"Oh my, that is the most nerd club I ever heard," said Tyler, chuckling, "that's the most Xtreme nerd club ever."
"Yes, yes. For your information, it was one of the most respected clubs in my high school," Cody put out his chest proudly. "We have the same budget as the chess club and more members than the Thomas Alba Edison Fanclub, anyway."
Anyway, she was always alone, so I decided to become his friend. There was something in her melancholic eyes that didn't let me leave her alone.
So I began to study poetry, and believe me, it's harsher than it seems, but also, there is something magical in the structure of the poems. When I was confident, I approached her again.
And as you can guess, she still avoided me, politely, but avoided me.
The days passed, and I still couldn't figure out why Julia was doing that. Do I bother her without realizing it? No, that was impossible. Maybe she was afraid of something.
But as you already know, Lady Luck loves me. I was at the mall, cooling with my friends like we always do, when I met her again. She had a distressed expression, looking around nervously, so I decided to help her.
Annotation: Geoff
"Wait a minute, you always go to the mall to 'cool' with your friends?" asked Geoff before sipping his beer.
"Don't go there," commented Trent smiling. "We already had this discussion with Cody. He said that the mall is the place where the cool guys hang out-"
"-And everybody knows it," said Trent, Justin, and Harold at the same time.
"I'm glad you remember it, my friends," Cody lifted and then took a sip of his screwdriver. "Ehem. Anyway, she seemed in trouble-
She seemed in trouble, so I waved my hand and walked to her.
"Hello Julia, fancy meeting you here," I said, winking.
She looked at me with wide eyes, "Cody? What are you doing here?"
"Me and the guys came to chill at the mall. It's like our hideout," I replied, making finger guns. "But you seem bothered by something. Maybe I can help you."
She hesitated, but in the end, she chose to trust me. "I was looking for a bookstore called Browning's house. Do you know it?"
"Of course, I know it. In fact, I know the mall like the back of my hand. Follow me. I'll show you the way," I told her smiling.
The bookstore was in the corner of the third floor. It was kind of hard to find the first time. Julia's face beamed as soon as I showed her the place.
"Thanks Cody, see you tomorrow," she said, as quickly as always, but this time I won't let her go as easy as always.
"Wait, Julia. Before saying goodbye, I wanted to say that I'm sorry," I looked at her eyes while talking.
She then faced me, her eyes widening, "Cody, I don't know why you are apologizing. You're one of the kindest persons I had met in this city."
"Then why are you avoiding me?" I asked her, rubbing my neck, a tick that Trent copied from me. "Every time I try to talk with you, you're in a hurry or need to be somewhere else."
Annotation: Trent
"I copied it from you? Man, I have been rubbing my neck while nervous since I was four. It's basically part of my personality."
She winced. It was evident that she thought I didn't notice it. "Sorry, Cody, but I-" she then sighed and looked me into the eyes, "Do you have a moment? It's a long story."
We found a bench near the bookstore, and she told me the full story. I'll not go into the details because it's not my place to talk about that. But her father is a very important person working for the government, so they travel a lot, moving from one city to the next. Before Toronto, they were in Gillam, and before that, in Vancouver.
So she always has to leave her friends behind. So after moving a few times, she decided to not make any new friends.
"That's just too sad. I think you're too pessimistic. It's not like you can't have long-distance friends, especially in this time and age. I, for one, would still be your friend, even if you went away to America or Australia."
"Cody," she said in a soft and cracked voice. "Thank you," and then suddenly she hugged me. I returned her embrace and patted her back. From that moment on, we become friends.
Annotation: Noah
"Hahaha, that was fun to hear, but there is no way this story is real. You're making it all," Noah shook his head. "That last part with the hug, nobody would believe that."
Cody sighed. "Yes, since you don't know her, her story may seem fishy. But she's one of the more honest girls I know."
"Of course," said Noah in a snarky tone. "And after years of being a loner, you made her realize, with just that conversation, that she really wanted to have friends."
Owen dried his tears. "Yes, it was so moving. I'm so glad that Julie decided to make friends. It's so sad when people are alone."
"Yes, Man, I'm with you," DJ patted Owen's shoulder, the Jamaican guy also crying, "It's so beautiful how friendship always finds a way."
Noah sighed, defeated. "Ok, let's feign that I believe the story. What happened next?"
As the days passed we became closer friends. I learned a lot of poetry, and she began to open with Lewis and Gilbert. During the next weeks we had a lot of fun. It was around that time that I decided to send my audition for Total Drama, to show the world how cool I was. Well, and the 100,000 prize was also attractive.
But, in the third week of June, there was the yearly Upper Crust dance. It was like a small prom for the students that weren't in their senior year. I didn't think about attending, because Julia didn't like crowded places.
Annotation: Duncan
"And then she invited you before you could invite her," said Duncan, huffing. "Can it be more cliché?
And ignoring that mean-spirit comment, yes, she asked me to go with her to the dance. Of course, I accepted. There is no way a gentleman will refuse that kind of invitation, and much less from a pretty girl like her.
I bought my first suit, a black one with a red bow necktie, and my father lent me his car for the night. It's a silver Pontiac Sunfire, not the most luxurious car, but for me, it was the best. I only have a 5L license, and I wasn't supposed to drive without a supervisor, but that I took the car alone became a secret between my old man and me.
The dance night was wonderful, we met at the gym, she was wearing a white dress that hugged her curves beautifully. It's funny how nervous I was.
"Julia, you look gorgeous," I said, winking and making finger pistols to her.
"Oh Cody, you're a teaser," she said laughing. She always looked her best while laughing.
"Hey! I'm serious," I also laughed. Then we went to drink some punch.
I have to say that never in my life have I drunk something so awful. Well, until I taste Chef food. But at that moment it was one of the worst things I ever had the displeasure of eating.
"My god, Is this supposed to be a joke?" I asked, discreetly leaving my glass on the table. I never took it back.
She laughed again. "Ugh. I thought it was only me who thought this tasted like poison. How can they make a punch that tastes like this?"
"Maybe they put rotten fruit? I don't know, let's better drink water," I then got two new glasses. After eating a little, the music started.
"Want to dance?" I asked, offering my hand and looking into her eyes.
Julia blushed, looking at the floor. "I-I don't know how to dance," she stuttered.
"Me neither, but it can't be so hard," I told her, showing my best smile. She hesitated and took my hand.
And honestly, we were bad, like in the worst dancers ever. We didn't know the steps and didn't have rhythm either, but we had a blast. It was one of the funniest nights of my life.
But things never go as planned. And after dancing for a while, we heard that some hooligans from the football team were looking for Julia. It seemed like one of them was in love with her, invited her to the dance, and got rejected. Well, some guys don't accept a no for an answer, and they wanted to have some words with us. So there was only one thing we could do.
Annotation: Owen
"Did you fight against them with the help of your friends like in that movie?" asked Owen with wide eyes, smiling expectantly.
Of course no! We ran away. But they were waiting for us at the exit. So I took her hand, and we ran together to the roof's stairs. Luckily the door was open, and we could go up there.
"It's a dead-end," said Julia in a worried tone. We had only a few minutes until they realized we had gone to the roof.
But I'm a man of resources, and at that moment, I had an idea, but it was dangerous. However we didn't have another choice. So I took off my jacket. "Quickly come here and hold on to me."
She tilted her head, but after a second, she came and put her arms tightly around my neck. I could feel her breath on the back of my neck.
"You have to trust me on this one," I felt she nodding, and then I jumped off the roof.
I don't know if she trusted me and didn't scream, or she was too afraid to do it, but she kept quiet while I used my jacket to slide down all the way to the ground, using the gutter to slow down the fall. Of course, my jacket was ruined, but I didn't care.
After reaching the ground, we got into my car, and we sped out of the parking. Then I took Julia to her home. The escape mission was a total success!
When we arrived, it was already past 23:30. I knew she lived in Lawrence Park, but the house they were renting was hugenormous. I escort her to the main door. It was a beautiful night, without any cloud in the sky, it was a shame it wasn't a full moon night because that would make it perfect.
She looked at me, blushing, her brunette bangs falling over her face. Julia came closer to me and kissed me on the lips. It was a sweet and quick kiss. It took me by surprise.
"Thanks for going with me to the dance. And also for all you have done for me, of course," she said in a low and shy tone, her eyes locked into mine.
I grinned, winking at her, "it was my pleasure." I was shivering a little. It was a cold night and I was without my jacket.
She hesitated for a moment. It was unusual because she was generally very confident. But as I turned to go to my car, she held me by my shirt.
"My parents are on business travel to Montreal," she said, her voice almost a whisper. "Do you want to spend the night here? It's already late."
I was surprised by her suggestion, but it was true that it was almost midnight, and I only had my learner permit. So I took her offer. It would be the first and last time I slept in her house.
Annotation: Justin
Justin smiled, his teeth sparkling beautifully. "And then you scored."
"C'mon man, you're also a lady's man. You canֹ't say it like that," protested Cody, scowling at the male model.
"Yes Justin, you should be ashamed," said Duncan, also scowling at him. Then he turned to Cody. "So, you fuck her or not?"
"Guys, it was my first time sleeping in a girls' house. So I'll not say anything else," Cody nodded and folded his arms.
Zeke looked at him, scratching his cheek. "It's a great story and all. But is it true?"
"What do you mean?" asked Cody, narrowing his eyes at the farmer.
"I don't want to be mean, eh. But some aspects are really… weird and convenient," said Zeke, folding his arms.
"Exactly. It's a cute story, but we never heard you talk about this Julia girl. And it seems like a very important relationship for you to keep it hidden like that," said Noah, who then took a sip of his glass. "And I'm surprised, this moonshine not only didn't blind me, but it's also delicious."
"Thanks a lot, eh," said Ezekiel showing a big grin.
"I heard Sierra talking about Cody having another girl before his crush on Gwen. But I honestly didn't pay too much attention to her story," said Trent trying (and failing) to support Cody.
Alejandro leaned on his chair, "Well, Casanova, tell us. Why do you never talk about this chica?"
Cody sighed and looked into his drink. "Well, I guess that after talking about Julia, it would be better to tell you all the story."
After the dance, we became basically a couple. We ate together and went on dates during the weekends. Well, on the weekend, because we only had one before I had to go to Wawanakwa. Once I win the show, I would buy her something with the prize money.
But I forgot to tell her that I would compete in Total Drama and be out for 8 weeks. So I told her during our last Saturday together.
"Oh! So you're going away for 8 weeks? That is all our summer," said Julia, looking sadly at the table.
"I'll come back in September, so don't worry." I didn't mention the prize money, as I wanted to surprise her.
But she continued looking down, and after sighing she looked at me with misty eyes. "Cod, there is something important I have to tell you."
I gulped. There is only one thing a cute girl tells her boyfriend using the expression something important to tell you. But I didn't want to accept it. So I nodded, hoping that I was wrong.
But honestly, it would be better if she just wanted to break up with me.
"I'm moving away. My parents told me this Monday," she said, her voice cracking.
I blanched, but at the moment, it didn't seem so bad. "When are you going to move?"
"August 15th," she said, avoiding looking at my eyes.
"Well, there is no problem." I chuckled nervously. "I'll visit you at the first chance I have. Where are you moving to this time? Quebec?"
She shook her head, tears running across her face. "No Cod, we must end it. It's not fair to you. We're moving to Australia."
"Australia!?" I said in a sad and alarmed tone. I didn't know too much about Australia aside from that it was very far away, and there were Koalas and Kangaroos.
Julia nodded, still crying. "It's too far away. We may not see each other again. It was magical, Cod, but it's better if we break up now."
I felt like choking, a thousand thoughts came to my mind, but in the end, I couldn't say anything. She was right. It won't be fair for either of us to keep that kind of long-distance relationship.
I stood and hugged her, then we kissed, it was a tender and sad kiss. It was our last kiss, a goodbye kiss.
"Thank you, Cod, for being at my side and teaching me how to trust again," she told me as she broke away from the hug.
I looked into her eyes. "No, thank you, mon amour, for these few days. As incredible as it sounds, you're my first serious girlfriend."
"Really? I can't believe it. You're so popular," she told me, chuckling and looking at me with wide eyes.
I make finger guns at her. "I never met a girl like you before. You're a really special lady. I'll never forget you."
She didn't come to see me going away at the airport, and I never see her again.
Cody's story, the end.
"And that is the story of my first love," said Cody sighing and showing a small and sad smile.
"It was so beautiful," said Owen sobbing. "Cody, I really hope you find true love one day. A toast for Julia, Cheers!" he then took a drink of his beer.
"You know that story is too fishy to be true," said Justin, raising an eyebrow and glaring at Cody.
Harold nodded. "I hate to agree with Justin, but he's right. If this really happened, why is it that you never share this fundamental anecdote of your life during our tours?" The model then glared at Harold.
"C'mon guys that's not the kind of story you want to remember. It was too painful," said Trent defending the brunette boy.
"Well, that's funny," Duncan smirked. "During your time on the Island you were all over Gwen. You definitely didn't look heartbroken."
Cody rubbed his neck, chuckling. "That had an explanation. Gwen looked just like Julia, well if she suddenly became a goth. The shock of seeing my ex-girlfriend's goth version was too much for me. So I fell in love with her at first sight."
"Goths have that effect on man," said Trent, fist-bumping the Codster.
"And you also got her bra, definitely a reminder of your past romance," said Alejandro smiling mockingly.
"H-how do you f-find out that?" said Cody blushing and looking at the Spaniard with wide eyes.
Noah sighed. "Because it was transmitted on International TV, Einstein?"
"Oh, yes, it's true. I forget about it for a moment," Cody chuckled.
"Dudes, it's a cute story. Does it really matter if it's true or not?" said Geoff trying to end the argument.
"Yes! It's time for something more X-treme!" Said Tyler raising an arm.
"I agree, eh. So If you don't mind, I'll be the next one to tell his story," said Ezekiel drinking a sip of his moonshine.
The room became silent. In a moment, all eyes were on Ezekiel.
"Really?" said Duncan raising a side of his unibrow.
"I don't believe it," said Alejandro shaking his head.
DJ put his hand on his shoulder. "Man, do you understand what kind of stories are we telling?"
Ezekiel's eyes reflected the light of the hearth. "Yes, our first-time story. And I think my story can win this contest, eh."
There was a moment of silence, no one expected that, but everyone was curious about what Ezekiel was about to tell.
"Before you start, I'll go to the basement to see if there is more beer," said Owen, ruining in a simple sentence the mysterious atmosphere around Zeke's story.
Author Notes:
[1] Y una mierda : vulgar slang that basically means the same as bullshit or Fuck that, used in Spain to express you don't believe what the other person is saing. Litrally 'A shit'
For this story, the theme is a high school romance. The idea is the story changes as the reader gets new information about it. There is also an element of the unreliable narrator, but in contrast with the other stories, there is no way to be sure if Cody is lying or not (or only lying in some things.)
Also, I wanted to surprise the readers with an original story instead of using a character like Sierra or Gwen. I hope this didn't disappoint anyone out there.
Now answering the reviews.
Guest: I'm happy you're enjoying the stories so far. Yes poor DJ, he still needs to learn to not trust Momma in everything. About Duncan, I don't promise anything, and I hope Cody wow you with his story.
Fernanda15fa: Yes, DJ story was really sweet. Katie x DJ is one of those crack ships that I can see happening. Alo DJ's Momma was really fun to write.
Also, I hope Cody's story was good enough, even if he was not as explicit as he could be XP.
amit. avrashmi: Katie and DJ ship is born for a few scenes they appear together on island. Especially when they sit together at the end of the first episode and play in the first game of Dodgebrawl.
And hehehe, poor Tyler, he is so excited, and no one cares.
GuestWhoDoesCare: I'm glad you're enjoying the ride, I wonder when Alejandro will take his turn.
total simaniac: I'm glad you didn't hate the ship, but as much as I like Duncney, Scottney isn't a crack ship, even if short it was official.
Anyway I wanted to try a sweet holiday story, and I felt this was the best moment to publish DJ's story, so an XTREME early Xmas episode. And also, you were right Cody's story doesn't sound totally believable.
As always, thanks for reading, and I hope you like it, no forget to review.
