Noah's Story

Geoff walked from the table and gave Noah a beer bottle. The bookworm took and poured it into a glass before drinking it.

"Dude, you don't drink from the bottle? how fancy," The party guy raised his hat, whistling.

"I just prefer the taste from a glass than from the bottle," replied the Indian guy dryly.

Cody then elbowed him. "And what story you'll tell us? The one about how you meet your Emma?"

Everyone laughed while Noah just rolled his eyes.

"I consider it. But maybe a story shown on International TV and known by everyone in this room isn't exactly winner material. If you know what I mean," Noah took a sip of his beer.

"I don't know that story eh," said Zeke raising a hand.

The genius scoffed. "I correct myself. A story ALMOST everyone here knows."

"Zeke, man, you didn't watch us during the Ridonculous race?" asked Owen in a pained tone.

"Sorry, I don't watch too much tv. But I'll watch it next weekend. Did you win?" asked Zeke scratching his head under his toque.

The big guy chuckled. "No, we actually ended 8th, but it was AWESOME. Let me tell you…

All started after Noah and I participated in Fear Tractor. Total Drama Network called us with an offer to be in the new season of Ridonculous Race. Noah loved the idea, so we accepted.

Ok, maybe loved is a strong word. It was more like he didn't hate it, but that means a lot coming from Noah. We took the train…

"Wait a minute man, this is supposed to be Noah's story," interrupted Trent raising his hand.

"I don't have any problem with Owen taking my place," Noah shrugged. "Please Big guy, continue."

Justin chuckled, looking with pity at the genius. "Stop with the excuses. Just accept you don't have any good story with that lame, ugly girl you call your girlfriend."

"Can you repeat what you said? Your collagen-filled lips didn't let me understand your brainless babble," replied Noah. He tried to sound calm, but his fierce glare betrayed him.

Alejandro stopped Noah while Trent and Harold held Justin.

"We may be a little touchy after all the alcohol and being awake all night. But let's try to finish the party without violence," said Alejandro, frowning at both men.

"Yes guys, we're doing this to have some harmless fun," said Owen in a distressed tone. "Can you please stop fighting? P-L-E-A-S-E."

Anyone would think Owen's pleads would fall on deaf ears, but it actually worked.

"Ok, I'll focus on my story and ignore that guy," Noah raised his hands, so Alejandro let him go.

"And I was just joking, sorry about that. I didn't want to start a fight or ruin the party," said Justin sitting away from Noah. If he was honest or not, only he knew it.

Duncan raised a side of his unibrow, "I was sure they would start a nice old fight. I can't believe Owen stopped them."

"Both Justin and Noah are Owen's close friends, so if someone could stop them, it was him, " said Cody, rubbing his chin. "And maybe me, who's also close to both, but I don't think anyone else could stop them."

"Whatever, if that failed, there is always another way of stopping a fight," said Duncan, cracking his knuckles.

Cody just watched him without saying a word. He definitely didn't want to find out what was this method Duncan was talking about.

Noah took a sip of his beer to get relaxed and then started.

"This story began sometime after the Ridonculous Race…"

I started dating Emma a few days after the show. It was better than I expected, and I expected it to be good. Emma is beautiful, smart, loves mystery novels, is serious about her future, hates trends, noises, and people in general, just like me, she also…

Annotation: Alejandro

"Yes, she's wonderful and you love her. I think we get it. Can you stop praising her and start with the story?" asked Alejandro, rolling his eyes. "You first-timers are all the same."

Ehem, as I was saying, Emma and I were quite compatible. Maybe too compatible. After some weeks, she stopped being all over me as before and didn't question any of my decisions. I thought it was normal and began to focus on other things, like my friends. And there is where this story really starts.

Emma and I were usually dating on Fridays. So I moved my poker nights with Eva, Owen, and Izzy to Thursdays. But as you already know, our game nights became awkward because there were some love issues among two of our players.

That night in particular was harsh, Izzy was on fire, and Owen was playing worse than ever, so I went to get some pizza from the kitchen and stop bleeding money. I didn't realize Eva followed me.

"It's been a month, and those two are still fooling around. If none of them make a move soon, I'll do it," said Eva, sighing audibly.

"Owen's too coward to try anything. He's scared of ruining his last chance," I said while putting the pizza in the oven. "And Izzy is Izzy. There is no way to force her."

Eva smirked. "We can always put them inside a trunk and let them talk about their feelings."

"And does we have a car with a trunk big enough for those two? I don't want to crush Izzy," I replied without looking at her. The idea was a bad one.

But she didn't give up. "We can always rent a car."

"And what if Owen gets nervous and farts? Both would die asphyxiated," I was half-joking and half-telling the truth. "Also Owen is too scared of being rejected. Even if we lock them together, he won't tell Izzy his feelings."

"Nah, Owen may be an idiot, but he can act when he must. I bet you 10 dollars he'll invite Izzy to a date in the next 4 weeks," said Evan, smirking confidently.

I shrugged, "if you want to give me free money, I won't stop you." then we shook hands.

Eva didn't say anything, only smirked confidently. We got the pizza and some beers and went back to the dining room.

There Izzy received us, jumping excitedly. "Guess What? Big O just invited me for a date tomorrow!"

I face palm while Eva laughed loudly, then I gave her a 10 dollars bill. Just my luck.

Annotation: Owen

"WAIT! You knew about my crush for Izzy?" asked Owen, putting his hands on his cheeks.

"Big guy, you're an open book. EVERYONE knew about your crush on Izzy," said Noah rolling his eyes.

Owen twiddled with his fingers. "Hehehe, That's a good joke, guys. But seriously, I'm not so obvious, am I?"

"C'mon Owen, you're a nice guy, but you're not exactly secretive," said Trent patting his shoulder.

"I remember when I arrived at total drama, you found me very attractive," said Justin, winking.

Geoff raised his bottle, "and during action Aftermaths, you just told us all your secrets, without any question."

"And don't forget when you BETRAY us in the same season and then spilled it in front of me," said Harold, glaring at him.

"Hehehe, Sorry, I never realized I was so bad at keeping secrets," Owen rubbed his neck. He then smiled. "Well, I may be bad at keeping secrets, but at least my manners are really gentlemanly, right guys."

Everyone averted their gaze from the big guy.

"Guys?"

Noah ignored his best friend. "As I was saying…"

As I was saying, the next day I met with Emma, her sister Kitty and Eva at my house.

I was just telling them with the news, "so Owen invited Izzy to a date in Jurassic plate, the Dino restaurant-"

"The Dinosaur theme restaurant?" asked Emma, raising an eyebrow. She then talked in a snarky tone, "That doesn't sound like the best place to reignite a romance."

"Really? I think it fits Owen's personality like a glove," said Kitty in an excited tone. Then her face beamed, "What if we go and look over them?"

I rolled my eyes, "more than look over them, you want to spy on them, don't you?

"Ok, c'mon, they're our friends. It's the least we can do," said Kitty, tugging me by the arm. "And you and Emma owe him at least that after all he did for you."

Emma tilted her head, confused. "Sorry Kitty, I don't remember owing him anything. And spying on them is such a childish idea."

"Don't you remember he got you and Noah together? Owen did all he could to help your relationship to start," said Kitty, frowning. "Now it's your chance to repay him."

I sighed and looked at my European friend. "Please Eva, tell her why this is an awful idea."

"Awful? I think we should go," Eva shrugged. "Izzy is always meddling in everyone's business, so it's our chance to help her with this one. Even if she probably doesn't need our help."

I was shocked by Eva's answer. Why she never does what I think she'll do?

"Doesn't need our help? It's Owen who we're talking about. He won't dare to make a move," I said, shrugging.

"How can you have a head so big and be so stupid? Knowing those two I bet they'll end spending the night together," Eva also shrugged, mocking me. Emma and Kitty blushed at her comment.

And me and my big mouth, I just couldn't let her have the last word. "Are you sure? Mackenzie King[1] says they at most will share a kiss."

"Thanks for giving me those 50 dollars for free Noah, you're such a good friend," replied Eva in a snarky tone.

Kitty then stood between us and interrupted our discussion, being more hyped than before. "Now that you made a bet, we need to be sure they're ok, so LET'S GO!" I was so focused on Eva that I didn't notice Emma's expression.

Annotation: DJ

"Excuse me man, I'm enjoying the story and all but, isn't this Owen's story more than your story?" asked DJ, raising an eyebrow.

"I'll get to the point soon, but believe me. It's my story too," said the Indian guy before siping again from his glass.

Geoff laughed, "Hahahaha, dude, I can't believe it. Did you really bring Emma to a Dinosaur-themed restaurant?"

"Why is it so funny eh? Does she hate dinosaurs?" asked Zeke as he stood up to fill his glass with a little more moonshine.

"Emma's a really serious and practical person. I was with her in an alliance, and she can be as stuck up as Courtney-"

"HEY!" shouted Noah and Duncan simultaneously, interrupting Geoff. Then both men glared at each other.

The party boy blanched after his blunder and made an awkward smile. "Anyway, I don't imagine her in a dinosaur restaurant. Zeke man, can you bring me also a glass of your moonshine?"

"Are you sure man, I think you have drunk enough for the night," said DJ, looking worried at his friend.

"I'm fine DJ, you're such a worrywart," Geoff clumsily patted his friend's shoulder and then took the glass Zeke brought him. "Thanks dude."

Noah raised an eyebrow but decided to ignore them. "Anyway as I was saying."

The plan was as bad as you can imagine.

We got disguised as in a cheap spy movie and sat at different tables around them. I was with Emma as a newlywed couple, and Kitty and Eva were college roommates who fell in love and, after discovering both were lesbians, decided to go on their first date.

Annotation: Cody

"Wow! That's quite a complex backstory for a one-time thing. That Kitty is really methodical, I would like to meet her sometime," said the brunette guy nodding.

I was dressed in a suit, with glasses and a fake mustache. While Emma was wearing a blond wig with sunglasses.

"Ugh, Do I really have to wear sunglasses inside the restaurant? It's not only impractical but also rude," said Emma in a distressed tone.

"At least yours are only sunglasses and a wig. I'm sure I look like a clown with this mustache," I caressed my mustache as if I was brushing it.

She chuckled. "Really? I think you look good, like a more handsome version of Kakababu."

"Why did I introduce you to Sunil Gangopadhyay's works?" I said half-serious. "But honestly, the blond wig was a bad idea. You look really beautiful without it."

"You just crushed my dreams of dying my hair after graduation," she replied in a snarky tone.

After laughing a little, we focused on our friends' date. I was surprised there wasn't a pile of steaks on Owen's table, even if he still filled the table with food.

But what worried me was his expression. He was frowning and sweating a lot. Owen didn't have that simpleton smile he always had.

Annotation: Owen

"Hehehe, I was just too worried to make the perfect date," he then stood silent, putting a finger on his chin. "Simpleton is a good thing, right?"

And I was so focused on their date that I didn't notice Emma's expression. I was trying to think of a way of helping Owen and putting more attention on their conversation than on my date.

"…but the barium nitrate is too bitter. I prefer eating gravy…" said Izzy. Her voice was so loud that it wasn't hard to hear her weird story.

"Barium nitrate? Isn't that poisonous?" Emma chuckled, covering her mouth with her fist.

"Knowing Izzy, the answer is yes, and she probably tasted it. I'm surprised she didn't die yet with all her occurrences," I said, smiling a little.

Emma nodded, "that's true, but she also made me feel jealous."

"Because she's basically indestructible?" I asked in a snarky tone. I didn't notice the cold atmosphere around my girlfriend.

"Don't be silly, just look at her. She's so excited and happy," Emma added, her smile turning into a frown. "When was the last time we were on a date?"

I was taken aback by the sudden question, and to be honest, I wasn't sure of the answer. "We just met last Friday at your house, and I helped you study for your history test."

"Meeting at your apartment or at my house doesn't count. I mean like this, just you and me, in a nice place, eating and having a good time," her voice was lower, and she was looking at the table. "When was the last time we tried something romantic or something new? It's as if our spark just burned out."

At that moment, I felt dizzy. Where did that come from? We have the perfect relationship, right? We were both smart and snarky. We met every Friday and also some other days, but it was true that every time there was a third wheel, either Kitty, Owen, Izzy, or Eva.

When was the last time we were alone on a date? Did I ruin my relationship without realizing it?

Annotation: Geoff

"Dude, did you break up with her? But you were so cute together!" Geoff lowered his hat to hide his eyes while sobbing. DJ patted his back, comforting him.

And he wasn't the only one. Trent, Dj, Cody, Zeke, Owen, and Tyler looked at him with worried expressions. Even Harold, Justin, Alejandro, and Duncan wanted him to continue with his story.

"Owen, what with that expression? You know what happens next," said the Indian guy, blinking a couple of times.

"I don't know, I'm just worried about you two," said the big guy, drying his tears with his arm.

Noah made a small smile, not expecting that everyone to show so much sympathy toward him.

"Today," I said in a low tone.

"What did you say?" asked Emma, tilting her head.

"Today we're going on our own date."

"I know what you're saying, but this isn't exactly-"

"Don't worry, I know what you mean, just give me a moment."

I quickly paid our bill and asked the waiter for a couple of things. After a moment, I went back to my table and looked at Emma's eyes."Come with me. We're leaving."

"But what about Owen?" she asked me, a little confused.

"He'll be fine. There is something more important for me right now," I held her hand and smiled. I didn't want to smile. It just happened.

So I pulled her, and before she realized it, we were in a taxi on the way to our first true date in months.

And the place I chose was the beach.

Annotation: Harold

"Beach eh? The gentleman Casanova's handbook doesn't mention it as one of the top 10 best dates ideas, but I guess that getting a hot air balloon or a hotel near a big waterfall wasn't an option. Such a shame," said Harold shaking his head.

Emma looked at the beach, it was already dark, and there were few persons still there. Lucky for us the street light illuminated the place, so I could go on with my plan.

"A beach? But Noah, Don't you hate beaches?" asked Emma, looking at me and raising an eyebrow.

"I hate a lot of things," I replied, smirking. "And today I wanted to surprise you. Are you surprised?"

"In more than one way."

"Then the mission was a success. Now follow me."

I walked into the beach with a basket I bought in the restaurant, put a big sheet over the sand and the basket over it.

"Where did you find that?" asked Emma, chuckling

I shrugged. "I'm a resourceful man." I actually bought the bigger tablecloth the restaurant would sell me. There was no time to look for a towel after all.

"Yes you're," she replied, making a beautiful smile. Emma was about to sit in the tablecloth when I stopped her.

"We just arrived here. How about taking a walk first?" I said while taking off my shoes.

She just looked at me with an awed expression, and after a quick laugh, she also took off her shoes.

Annotation: Justin

"I'm surprised you're confident enough to show your feet in a public place. I'm a feet model, so I can't understand your pain. But that Emma should love you a lot to still be dating you after that," said Justin making a mocking smile while posing.

Ignoring the troll. We began to walk next to the sea, holding hands. The waves splashed our feet now and then.

"The water is really cold," said Emma, letting go of my hand and embracing my arm.

"Yes, it's quite uncomfortable."

"I thought the same! And it's not only cold. I can feel the salt on my feet, and the wet sand sticks to my soles."

"The only reason why people can enjoy these it's because they come here with a person they love. Like us right now."

Emma chuckled. "You're really trying right now."

"My love for you is as deep as the ocean," I replied, making a seductive smile.

Ok, it was probably a goofy smile after that cheesy line, but what can I say? I was really worried about my relationship.

"That's beautiful. It's a quote from a book?" Emma asked me, she was enjoying that I was doing my best.

I shrugged. "I think it's an old song, but it doesn't matter because it describes my feelings for you."

We laughed and walked some more. I know what I said, but I really dislike walking with the sea splashing us.

Emma talked again, her tone a lot softer than usual.

"Noah, about what I said in the restaurant…" she told me, holding me tighter.

I stopped walking and looked at her face. I didn't understand why she was apologizing. I felt a shiver run down my spine and waited for the worst.

She continued. "During all this time, you have been a wonderful boyfriend. What I said in the restaurant it's just because I felt that you have become more and more distant, and the more I insisted on being with you, the more I felt I was smothering you. And we only meet each other with my sister there or with Owen…"

She took a deep breath. "What I want to say is that I love you, and I didn't want to force you to take me on this date. Sorry for being so selfish."

I embrace her tightly. "You don't need to apologize. I took you for granted, and honestly, I'm really lazy, and I hate to go out. But I didn't know it bothered you. I love you, but more important is that I want you to feel loved."

Emma began to sob softly.

"So don't apologize, just promise me next time you feel I'm neglecting you, you won't bottle it. Just call me and tell me how you feel," I caressed her cheek, trying to comfort her.

"Are you sure? I may be calling you a lot," she asked. Her misty eyes contrasted with her beautiful smile.

I nodded. "I don't mind staying awake reading text messages if they're from you."

"You must think I'm crazy, chuckling and crying like this," she said, drying her tears.

"Are you crazy? I'm the guy who quotes Indian classic novels and took part in two seasons of Total Drama. So if you're crazy, I'm certified insane," I told her, leaning closer to her.

She looked at me and, after a moment, closed her eyes and puckered her lips. I went closer to kiss her. It was a magic moment

Just remember, magic doesn't exist, and as I leaned forward, we were hit by a big wave. The water threw us into the sand, getting us dirty and dampened.

"Really? Why did I do to Varuna to deserve this?" I protested. Then noticing Emma was over me.

She laughed. "Ok, it's official. I don't like the beach."

Then she leaned and pressed her lips against mine, kissing me. It was a hot and long kiss. The waves hitting us weren't enough to interrupt that moment.

"It's funny because I don't hate the beach that much anymore," I said, kissing her again.

Annotation: Geoff

"Wow, dude, that was awesome! I'm really glad you made it," said Geoff, waving his hat.

Duncan frowned at him. "Geoff, I think you have drunk enough for today."

"WHAT? Aren't you happy for our small friend?" asked the party guy. Noah frowned at him.

"Of course, we're happy," said Cody, smirking. "But it was obvious they were still together, even Owen say so during his story."

Geoff scratched his head. "Really? I forget about that?"

"Just sit down, and I'll get you a glass of water," said DJ running to the kitchen.

"I think it's better if you bring a full jar," said Trent, who also needed some water after being drinking all night.

Noah stretched out. "Anyway, let me finish the story."

After finishing our impromptu make-out session we were dampened, cold, and the night breeze wasn't helping. We went back to the table cloth, which was a better towel than I expected. Then I opened the basket and took out some other things I had brought from the restaurant.

"Did you bring food, plastic cups, and a bottle of wine?" said Emma, awed. "You weren't joking when you said you're a man of resources."

I smirked. "Of course. I bought a couple of Ptero-sandwiches and a bottle of wine. I must say it's surprising how many things you can find in a dinosaur restaurant."

After a moment, we were dining some beef sandwiches with wine on plastic cups over a tablecloth on a deserted beach. We were still a little wet with sand and salt all over our bodies, but neither of us seemed to care.

"These are better than I expected," said Emma with a smile. "I wonder what they use for the sauce? I mean, it has pesto, but it has an after taste."

"I was wondering the same. Probably Owen would know. My mother always used Honey mustard in my house," said Noah while eating a bit of his sandwich.

Emma chuckled. "Really? I was sure you would use Hari chutney, Masala or something like that."

"HEY! we're Indians, but that doesn't mean we only eat Indian food," I said, making a comedic frown. She laughed as my phone began to ring.

I looked at the id and smiled. "Hello, Eva. What's up?"

"You have some nerve leaving me behind to babysit your sister-in-law while you run away," said Eva in an angry tone.

Hearing an angry Eva made me break in cold sweat."I… um… Sorry, it was a spontaneous thing…"

"HAHAHAHA, stop stuttering like an idiot, I'm joking," Eva laughed. I can never guess what she's thinking. "I called you because Izzy sent me a message, and I need to crash at your house tonight. So congratulations, it seems you now owe me 50 dollars."

My eyes went wide. At that moment, I received a message from Owen, telling me he wouldn't come home tonight. "He just texted me, but that they're spending the night together doesn't mean anything."

Eva laughed loudly at my comment. I sighed, defeated.

"Ok, ok, I'll pay you tomorrow. See you later," I said, shaking my head.

"Hahaha, you're a sore loser. Ok pay me tomorrow, bye," Eva laughed again before ending the call.

"So you the end you lose your bet?" asked Emma, giving me a disapproving look.

I shrugged. "Yes, it seems so."

"That's why I told you to not bet against her," Emma sighed and then smiled. "But at least that means Owen's date was a success.

"It seems so," I then locked my eyes into hers. "An what about ours? was our date also a success?"

She leaned toward me, putting her hand behind my neck and gently pulling me. Emma pressed her lips against my own, and we began to kiss. It was a passionate kiss, but I'll not go into the details.

As we broke apart, blushing, she just replied in a soft voice. "I hope that answers your question."

We kiss again and again, under the night sky. Then we went back to my house. Kitty and Emma spent the night with Eva and me.

Noah's story end

"And that is the story of my first beach date," said Noah raising a glass of water.

"It's so beautiful. Also, thanks for worrying about me," said Owen drying a tear. He then put a thoughtful expression. "Also I think the extra spice in the Ptero-sandwiches is cardamon."

Noah smirked. "Thanks Owen. I'm glad you were paying attention to the important details of the story."

Everyone laughed, but then they noticed no more noise was coming from outside.

"It seems the storm stopped," said Trent, making a big smile.

Noah looked at his phone, nodding. "Yes, it seems like it's over."

"That means they'll start cleaning the road, and we can go back to the city. That's awesome!" said Cody, fist-pumping.

"By the way, Noah, you have been on the phone all night. Who are you talking to?"

"Emma," the Indian guy rolled his eyes. "That promise about calling me when she feels neglected includes coming to this party."

Zeke looked at him with wide eyes, not expecting that."She's a little controlling, eh?"

"Not so much, but she got a little angry because I had to cancel a date so I could be here tonight," replied Noah, shrugging.

Some guests chuckled while others glared at him.

"In my defense, I must say we canceled it one month ago when Owen told me about this meeting," said Noah, unusually flustered. "But anyway, it's already late, so let's go to sleep."

"WAIT! There is one thing left, who won the contest?" asked Tyler, making a confident smile.

The 12 guests looked at each other. All were tipsy and tired, but if they didn't decide who won the competition now, they would never do it.

"I think the more appropriate way is to write our vote in a napkin and put all of them in Ezekiel's toque," said Harold, in a teacher-like way. "That way, we can vote quickly and preserve the principle of confidentiality."

"Ok, homie, no pro," said Zeke taking off his hat.

"I agree but," said Alejandro interrupting the others. "I think we should add a rule in which nobody can vote for themselves."

"What? But then who should I vote for? All the other stories were lame," said Justin rolling his eyes.

Trent glared at him. "You can at least vote for one of your friends."

The model thought about it for a moment and shrugged. "I guess that's also an option."

Everyone wrote their votes and put them in the toque, with Owen reading the results.

"Ok, whoever wins, no hard feelings," said Owen, as he began to read them.

"One for Harold, one for Trent, one for Alejandro, One for me," he smiled and rubbed his neck. "Oh, thanks guys!"

Duncan rolled his eyes. "Big guy, focus. I want to sleep before dawn."

"Hehehe, Sorry, One for Justin, one for Geoff, two for me, one for Brody…" Owen squinted his eyes at the napkin. "Guys, maybe I'm too drunk, but I read Brody!"

"Hehehe, No big guy, it was my voteeee," said Geoff while slurring, "Brody is MY friend, and no one would vote for him… poor Brody," the cowboy then began to cry.

DJ hugged him, patting his back. "Don't worry man, everything will be ok." He then helped him to stand up. "I'll put Geoff on the sofa. He needs to sleep."

"Don't worry man, we're almost over," said Owen, who kept reading the votes. "Two for Alejandro, one for Geoff, one for Noah, and Three for me!" The big guy raised his arms and shouted. "WOO-HOO I win the free dinner."

The Jamaican guy glared at Owen and shushed him, putting an index over his own lips.

"Hehehe, sorry," whispered Owen.

"But that's impossible. How did you get three votes?" asked Alejandro, who thought his plan to win the bet was infallible.

"It was a nice story eh, and who doesn't like a nice reconciliation story?" Said Zeke, nodding.

"Also is better for everyone that Izzy is dating someone, that way she isn't annoying other people," said Justin shrugging.

The Spaniard stood silent, folding his arms.

Owen stood up, smiling. "Well, guys, thanks for coming. With this, we have finished the first Total Drama storytelling contes-"

"Big Guy, we're all tired. Let's keep the speech for tomorrow," said Duncan standing up, as everyone was getting ready to look for a place to sleep.

"Congratulations, big guy," said Trent giving him a fist pump.

Owen blushed and rubbed his neck. "Let me get you some blankets and sleeping bags."

After that, the guests looked for a place to sleep. Owen had enough blankets, so everybody had a warm and comfy night.

This way, the story of how was the first time they had a storytelling contest ended, with Owen as the winner. But the story of the free meal he had with them the next day it's another story for another time.

How was your first time - end

Author Notes:

[1] William Lyon Mackenzie King was a Canadian statesman who appears in the 50 dollars bill since 1989.

Finally, Noah's story, I decided to close the circle by telling a story that happened at the same time as the first one. In this one, I play more with the narrator because the story happens because he didn't realize his relationship was getting colder, and he tries to convey those feelings of false security, focusing more on others than on his own relationship.

And this is the end of the story. I want to thank to everyone who joined this ride into experimental writing. I hope you had as much fun reading this as I have writing it.

Now let me answer the past chapter reviews:

Fernanda15fa: In the series I always thought Alejandro was a person who cared a lot about his family. He mentions more about his family than most members (usually because he learned something from them.) So I considered he would care a lot about his parents. And yes for a Casanova like him the first one was important, so Carmen will be always there ( also I take inspiration in one of my favorite poems.)

And about Courtney's father, that a long story, but I consider he is still with her mom.

Total simaniac: I'm happy you enjoyed it. Yes I wanted to do the classic family gathering, I think the Burromuertos were just the right family for this kind of story. Poor Heather honestly it was an ambush.

And about Noah, I decided to use Emma to close the circle with Owen, the story starts in the same point but suddenly change. This is to contrast both stories, one about coming back together and the other about not breaking up. I hope it worked.

amit. avrashmi: Happy Holidays too ;). I thought making Carlos older and more kind would make a nice contrast with José. Now José maybe be eviler in the story than in real life. Remember who is narrating the story.

Noahtxd: glad you enjoyed it. I hope Noah story was fine too. I tried to keep him level-headed but snarky as usual. Even if the tone of his story was more serious.

And I'm glad you enjoyed the stories. Geoff must be personally the one that took more work and rewrites to make it funny but not mean-spirited.

Finally, thanks to everyone that enjoyed this story. My usual reviewers amit. avrashmi, Fernanda15fa and Total simaniac, I hope you enjoyed it.
