Purple Chakra erupted from the clearing, as the ANBU jumped away, raising an arm to shield their faces from the incoming debris.
The Captain crouched low, eyes wide behind his mask.
What in the...?!
When the dust had finally cleared, he saw the faint outline of the Hyuga. Chakra was practically radiating off of her in waves, streams of purple emanating from her form, especially her hands.
The Captain watched as she straightened, standing properly--something that should have been impossible in her condition-- and took a step forward.
The forest floor gave in beneath her feet, leaving a small crater in its wake.
He felt something static within his mind, before the voice of his teammate came to him.
"What do we do, Taicho?"
The man said nothing for a second, instead choosing to stare at their target, his disbelief hidden.
She was far stronger than his master had said.
He contemplated silently, wondering what course of action to take.
After a moment, he sighed.
"Try to knock her out. Failing that, we retreat."
He got no reply. Instead, he watched as one of his men attacked the Hyuga. She dodged, and with a speed a that far too quick to be registered, slammed her foot in the back of the man. He flew back, hitting a nearby tree.
No sooner had she dealt with his, a few shuriken flew past her, as another man attacked. He twisted his fingers, guiding the shuriken to their target.
They curved sharply, the wires that were attached to them wrapping around Hinata.
The man pulled, tightening the wires as they dug into the Hyuga's skin, rendering her incapable of moving.
Others followed, doing the same and wrapped more wires around their target.
Finally, the Captain took out a kunai and shot forward.
We've got you now.
Without hesitating another second, he plunged the knife into her chest.
Everything stilled for a moment. He looked up meeting the blank eyes of the Hyuga. She simply stated at him, before her face began to contort.
Sending danger, the Captain immediately jumped away, just in time as something tore through the Hyuga's skin.
He watched, horrified, as the target dispersed into a flock of Doves.
His eyes widened, as she took a step forward, recognition in his eyes.
"That move-!"
He was cut off as a foot slammed into his back. Before he could fall forward, the Hyuga pivoted on one foot, the leg she had slammed into his back now bent.
She curved into an unforgiving arc, and kneed him in the face.
A crack echoed in the silence as his mask broke, blood pouring out from his mouth and nose. The Captain staggered back, coughing violently, as he pressed a hand to his face in an attempt to stop the bleeding.
He looked up just in time, to see one of his teammates go through hand signs.
There was a gust of air. The Captain choked when he saw the Hyuga suddenly appear behind his teammate.
She didn't go into her stance, didn't began her Sixty-Four palms. Instead, she simply gathered Chakra into her hand, and slammed it against his teammate's chest.
The whole chest area of the man blew off, his blood and entrails flying all over the place.
The process was repeated with the next man who dared to attack her.
The Captain felt bile rise up his throat, stomach twisting in a sickening fashion, watching the Hyuga stalk to another of his teammate.
The stench of blood made itself known, the air growing damp and cold.
The Captain stumbled back, a strangled sound escaping his throat, as he, one-by-one, watched his other teammates meet the same fate.
Their screams made up the melody of Death.
Then, she turned towards him, and took a step forward.
"ANBU." She began, voice cold and hollow.
"I regret to inform you that I, with immediate effect to, have been forced to bring about your death."
The Captain scrambled back even more, another strangled gasp escaping him, as he heard his own words being thrown back at him.
"Rest assured for I will ensure a quick and painless death."
Just as the Captain raised his hands to form a hand sign, a foot slammed down on his wrist.
He screamed at the impact, falling on his back as the Hyuga hovered over him.
She looked down at him, scorn clear on her face.
"I also regret to inform you that a compromise cannot be arranged."
As a last resort, the Captain took out a kunai with his good hand.
Before he could attack, a hand pinned his arm to the ground.
"Resisting is futile, ANBU. I request you cooperate to make this easier to the both of us."
The Captain simply stared, throat dry and terror reflected in his eyes.
"I-I-"
The Hyuga calmly placed a hand on his chest.
The man froze, face turning pale, breath coming out in short gasps.
No! No! No!No!No!No!No!No!N-
"I am Hinata of the Otsutsuki." The Hyuga met his eyes, narrowing her own. She raised her head an inch.
"And I will bring about your demise."
For a second, time froze, as the man saw blood fly everywhere, some even splattering on his face.
It took a moment got him to realize that it was all his blood.
Then came the pain, burning hot, as the man screamed, completely consumed by it.
Then, slowly, everything went black.
THERE YOU LOSERS GO!!!
I'm so sorry for not updating for a while. I was, once again, super busy and couldn't find the time. However, to correct that, I have decided to update every Monday, as that is the day I have the most free time on me. The chapters might also be getting a little shorter, so really sorry about that.
But, I suppose it's better than nothing, eh?
Other that that, how was this chapter?? Is Hinata herself?? And what had taken over her?? Will she ever return back to her good ol' self??
And what do you think will happen next??
Be sure to tell me what you think!!
Until next Monday, ENJOY!!
