Reginald made his way back through town. Not really looking where he was going, he almost bumped into Maximus. The white horse had been patrolling the town alongside Lieutenant. Reginald and Maximus froze on the spot once they had spotted the other. Maximus snorted at the hooded figure standing in front of him.

Lieutenant looked back once he noticed Maximus was no longer following him, "what's wrong, Max?" he made his way back over to him.

Reginald stood deadly still, racking his brain for a way out of this unusual situation he had found himself in. Maximus, on the other hand, stood in front of him. He refused to budge.

Lieutenant looked at Reginald from top to bottom, "oh, look at that" he turned his attention to Maximus, "Max, we need to escort them to the castle without drawing any attention"

Maximus snorted, still not too sure of the hooded figure before him. He and Lieutenant escorted Reginald back to the castle. When they reached the gates leading into the court yard, Lieutenant stopped Reginald long enough to allow Maximus to make sure the coast was clear. The proud horse neighed when he was sure it was safe to make their way to the front doors.

Lieutenant escorted Reginald through the court yard and into the castle, Maximus followed closed behind. Once they were inside, Reginald removed his hood which seemed to surprised Maximus. The horse felt ashamed he hadn't recognised the Prince.

"Right, so now that's sorted, we won't say a word of this to the King" Lieutenant told Reginald which he appeared to appreciate. Maximus nodded in a agreement, last thing he needed was for Jock to find out.

Reginald left Lieutenant and headed straight for his room. Lieutenant and Maximus headed back into town.

Once safely back in his room, he removed his cloak and sat on his bed. He begun to reflect on the day's events, it was rather nice being treated as an ordinary citizen for a change. It also helped to take his mind off that unsettling letter, this sadly reminded him of said letter and his smile quickly vanished. He got up and left his room, he looked out a window to see if his father was out on his walk. He was pleased to see the King walking around the castle grounds. He readjusted his crown and made his way outside.

Wilfred walked round the flower garden, he stopped to smell one of the roses, "look at your flower garden, my love. Isn't it lovely? Just like you were. Our son is growing up so fast. I hope you are smiling down on him, watching over him. We will be holding a ball soon in your memory, I do hope you will be watching"

He stood up and begun to walk around. He soon found himself at the training grounds for the royal knights. His Captain, Scarlet, was currently using the obstacle course. She climbed up the wall and jumped off once the other side. Wilfred stopped to observe her, she never failed to impress him. Then again, she had been trained by her father who had been the Captain before her.

Reginald walked out into the garden, he stopped and knelt down by some flowers. He smiled for just a moment but then looked sadly down at them, "why did you leave?"

Reginald stood back up and went to look for his father. He eventually found him by the training grounds. Wilfred heard Reginald walking over to him so turned to greet him.

"Hello my son" Wilfred smiled.

"Hello father, I decided to come out and join you for some fresh air" Reginald informed him.

"I am glad you did, my son. The air is fresh and clear as is the sky"

Reginald nodded as he stood beside his father. It was strange seeing him without a cigar in his mouth.

"Young Scarlet is rather impressive, is she not?" Wilfred asked Reginald in which he nodded in agreement.

Reginald watched Scarlet make her way round the obstacle course. She quickly made it to the finishing line. Reginald clapped which caught her attention.

"My King? Your Highness? Were you both watching me?" Scarlet asked them.

"I apologise if I made you uncomfortable" Reginald replied.

Scarlet scoffed, "don't be, it doesn't bother me. How did I do?"

"You did wonderful, kiddo. Your father would be so proud of you" Wilfred told her while Reginald nodded in agreement.

Reginald quickly decided to leave his father to speak to Scarlet and made his way to the stables. There he found a handsome black stallion easting some wheat. The name Jock was written on the beam above his stall. Reginald made his way over to Jock who lifted his head once he realised he was no longer alone.

"Hello Jock" Reginald smiled as Jock greeted him with a little sniff. He petted his nose, " I am pleased to see you too. Perhaps, while we are alone, I could tell you about my day"

Jock neighed and nodded. Neither of them had noticed Wilfred standing just outside the stables.

"Well I decided to sneak out of the castle. I wanted to see how those outside the walls of the town lived. While I was there, I was able to make a few new friends. There was Sven, a little blonde boy with an adorable white owl he calls Snowy. Then there was Archie who seems to like this rather colourful individual named Randy. I do have the feeling I may have seen him before. Then there was Right"

Jock tilted his head in confusement. He had never heard of someone with such an odd name before.

"Well, by that I mean Right is… was rather friendly. Yes, I am aware his name is odd but that is how he was introduced. It was a shame they had to find out who I am so soon… I wonder if mother would have approved of my actions let along if father were to find out"

Jock quickly spotted Wilfred, he stomped his foot and neighed.

"What's wrong, Jock?" Reginald asked.

"Son? Who are these people you speak of?" Wilfred inquired, more curious than angry.

Reginald quickly spun around and came face to face with his father, "f-father… how long have you been standing there?"

"For a while now. I really shouldn't keep you in your room. You should be allowed to explore the town"

Reginald sighed, "I am sorry I never told you my true intentions this morning"

Wilfred walked over to his son and hugged him, "it's alright my son. You should go out more often, it'll be good for you" Reginald hugged him back, "so, tell me more about your new friends"

"Well, Archie wishes to build his own airship someday, a rather exciting endeavour. Sven has befriended a small white owl he calls Snowy but I'm afraid that is all I know of him so far. I am sure I have seen Randy at the castle at some point. Right seems to be a nice man who cares deeply for his friends. Although I did hear him call Sven brother"

"Those people sound very interesting. You should invite them to the ball" Wilfred told him.

"But won't your advisor object?"

"To hell with what he thinks. If it were up to him, half the town would have starved by now"

Reginald nodded, there had always felt uneasy around the older man. He always seemed to disappear at rather odd times only to reappear several hours later. He decided to put these thoughts to the back of his head, "I shall ask them tomorrow"

Wilfred nodded, "you are growing up so fast, too fast actually. You aren't a little boy any more"

Lieutenant returned from his patrols with Maximus. He brought his horse back to the stables. As soon as Maximus saw the King and Prince, he straightened up and proudly pranced inside.

"Show off" Lieutenant muttered, earning him a whack in the face from Maximus' tail, "hey!"

Reginald, who had witnessed it, did his best to hold back a laugh. Maximus snorted and whacked Lieutenant once more with his tail. The horse sounded like he was laughing which in turn caused Reginald to let out a small snicker.

"Seriously? I get no respect from my own partner" Lieutenant said before Maximus licked his face, "I know, you mean well you big softie. Lets get you an apple then you can rest"

Reginald watched Lieutenant escort Maximus to his stall and hand him an apple. He walked out of the stables and stood outside, he found himself wondering what Right was doing.

Meanwhile, Right arrived back home. He saw Archie by his workstation, as per usual, then saw Sven come back inside holding a box with some small jars inside. He sighed as he caught himself thinking about Reginald, "isn't he something?"

Sven placed the box down, "don't tell me you've caught Archie's weirdness?"

"Ah Sven" Right grabbed him then proceeded to mess up his hair.

"Noooo! Big brother, let go!" Sven squealed.

Right chucked as he messed his hair up even more, "never"

"Snowy, help!" Sven pleaded. Snowy flew down from her perch then flew around Right, hooting at him while Sven attempted to wiggle free, "let go"

Right tightened his grip around Sven's shoulders. This upset Bess, she never liked hearing Sven this distraught. She soon stormed out of her stable and ran into the shack. She pulled Right off and away her boy.

"Bess, you saved me~" Sven cheered

"Ow, Bess, what the hell?!" Right yelled as his horse stood between him and Sven.

Sven gave Bess a hug, "that mean big brother of mine was messing up my hair"

Bess snorted at Right who was now sitting on the ground, laughing his head off.

Sven sighed, letting go of Bess, "I don't get you, you want to money to get out of here but are unwilling to get a job. Instead you'd rather steal from the King… what if you are every caught?"

"That's the thing Sven, I won't get caught. I'm too fast for 'em"

"Your too cocky is what you are" Sven sighed, "your going back soon, aren't you?" Right nodded, "you will come back though?"

Right nodded, "aye, like anything can keep me away from my little brother"

"Well… you better"

"Sven, nothing bad is gonna happen to me"

Sven nodded, he headed outside to his workstation and picked up a small bag. He brought it back inside and handed it over to Right who took a peek inside. There were several small black orbs bundled inside the bag.

"What's this?" Right enquired.

"Smoke bombs, if you must go back at least use these to aid in your inevitable escape. Just don't get caught!"

"I won't, don't you have faith in me?" Right asked in which Sven nodded, "what else you been working on?"

"Healing ointment and flash bombs although the latter hasn't been tested yet"

Right's eyes lit up when he heard Sven mention the flash bombs, "how many you got?"

"Only a couple, like I said they have not been tested" Sven handed Right a white orb whilst keeping the other one, "as for the ointments I made enough. Just be careful if you have to use it"

"I will be, I have faith in you" Right held the flash bomb up to have a better look at it, "thank you"

Sven nodded as he took Bess back out to her stable. She followed behind, nibbling at his hair. He looked back and petted her nose, "it's going to be a long night Bess"
