"This is insane!" Hera stated. She looked to Ezra, Rae, Athena, and Kanan as they surrounded her in the cockpit of her ship. "You're all telling me you saw this ghost who's telling us to go to the Empire's capital?"

"Look, I apparently our mom left some sort of holocron there," Athena said. "And apparently it's a big enough deal for her to appear to us in the form of a ghost to tell us about it."

"It's crazy, but I think we should listen to her," Kanan admitted, looking to his captain.

The twi'lek angrily stood there in her pajamas, arms crossed over her chest. The Jedi had woken her up with a frenzy of statements.

"It was insane!" Ezra proclaimed. "It was really a ghost! A lady ghost in Jedi robes!"

"She...she seemed really nice," Rae said in a soft voice, still in shock over the whole thing.

"What about Athena? Currently, the Emperor himself has the bounty on her!" Hera stated, gesturing to the blonde teenager.

"I'll be fine," Athena assured. "I can disguise myself."

Kanan placed a hand on Hera's shoulder, "Hera, I understand how insane this sounds - but this may be one of the clearest signs the Force has ever sent us. We can travel there like citizens, get the holocron, and get back to the fleet as quickly as possible."

Hera let out a hefty sigh and looked to the Jedi around her, "Did anyone tell Ahsoka about this?"

"I will when she wakes up," Athena assured. "She's got the intel anyhow."

Hera begrudgingly stated, "Fine. We're going to Coruscant. But, I mean it when I say you can't even look at an Imperial. You are the most wanted rebel in the galaxy, Athena. Do you understand?"

Athena nodded.

She soon found herself in the common room of the ship they called home, strapping her armor back onto her body and a slingshot on her wrist. Seeing she barely knew how to shoot a blaster, Ezra loaned the girl his slingshot for this trip.

Athena sighed as she looked down to the blue plate on her chest, crackles and missing chips of paint riddled the armor now. The paint couldn't withstand the heat.

Sabine looked over to the girl and chuckled, "Don't worry, kid. I can paint it again if you want."

Athena shook her head, "Nah, it's fine." she looked down to the ground with serious eyes. Her muscles had barely relaxed ever since they had gone into hyperspace.

As Sabine finished fiddling with her blaster, she put it back in her holster and stood from the wooden chair. She walked over to the girl sitting on the orange couch and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"We're not gonna let the Empire take you," Sabine assured. "Hera made it clear that this is an in-and-out mission."

"I feel like I'm putting this whole crew in danger," Athena admitted, looking up to the Mandalorian.

"I'm willing to put myself in danger for my family. Always," Sabine stated.

The trip to Coruscant was hours long. Ahsoka and Rex couldn't join them as they had other duties in the Rebellion to tend to. It was highly cautioned that Athena just stayed with the fleet, but she couldn't.

Her mother specifically told her to go to Coruscant. She needed that holocron. Somehow it was connected to Abeloth's defeat. It had answers.

Every muscle in Athena's body tensed up once they landed on the planet. She put on the blue cloak and wrapped a piece of cloth around the bottom half of her face to conceal herself - Kanan doing the same. When the group split, Sabine, Zeb, and Hera stayed on the Ghost in case there were any problems, they could at least attempt and escape. Chopper, Athena, Kanan, Ezra, and Rae were the ones to go out into Coruscant's Slum District G17.

As they walked down the dark, semi-lit streets of the Slum District, Athena glanced right to her friend with a purple and black helmet on. She glanced left to see Ezra with his painted Imperial Cadet helmet. Chopper rolled in front of her. Behind her was Kanan. It felt like she was being surrounded by her family, protecting her from the galaxy around them.

Don't fight the Imperials. Don't talk to the Imperials. Don't look at the Imperials. Just think about how you are in the middle of the hornet's nest with the biggest bounty in the galaxy on your head. One slip up and your family is dead. One slip up and the Empire takes you prisoner. One slip up and the fate of the universe will be in jeopardy.

Quite a lot for a teenage girl to comprehend.

"Up here should be the place the man wants us to meet him," Kanan said.

"What if this is a trap?" Ezra asked.

"Then pick a god and pray," Athena stated.

Ezra was surprised at Athena's sudden brashness. He turned to her, eyes wide under his helmet. He couldn't get in a word before Athena spoke in a low and serious voice.

"If this is a trap, they'll focus on me and probably Kanan the most. You might have a chance to run," Athena stated. "Though, I don't think the ghost of my dead mother would purposely send me into a trap if she could help it."

Kanan sighed, "She's right. If this is a trap, I want you two to make a run for it. These Imperials will probably focus on me and her. You guys gotta run if you get a chance."

"We'll be fine," Rae assured, her voice distorted by the helmet she wore. "Like she said, I doubt your mom would purposely send us to our doom."

Chopper beeped a few times before taking a right turn. The group followed the astromech and soon came across a large garage door covered in graffiti. Above it, a few red letters that were hanging on by a rusty nail. A couple of the letters sparked and sizzled as the bulb burned out while others were already dead.

"This is the place," Kanan confirmed.

"Looks super shady," Ezra commented.

Athena placed a gentle hand on the garage door. The teal bracelet on her wrist began to glow. She shut her eyes and focused.

"One person," Athena stated. "It must be the guy."

"You're getting good," Kanan chuckled.

The teenage girl with the glowing bracelet knocked on the metal door. Rustling soon occurred inside. The group shared a glance as the crashing and shuffling continued to edge closer to the door.

Eventually, a hand was under the door, lifting it up just a little. They all looked down as he called from the small opening.

"Who is it?"

"The people you contacted," Athena said. "You claim to have something of our interest?"

"How do I know it's really you?"

Athena crouched down and saw a rodian's face peek out of the opening. She took off her bracelet and made it float just above her palm. "You said you knew my mother. Is this proof enough?"

"It is you!" the man cheered.

The garage door was thrown upward. A rodian man in mechanic clothing stood in front of a garage packed to the brim with tools, broken droids, and much more. Dim yellow lights hung overhead, barely producing semi-decent lighting for the area.

Chopper wheeled into the garage first. He immediately went over to a black and orange R3 droid who was rolling about the garage.

"Chopper, leave the other droid be," Kanan warned, stepping into the garage with the others.

"Ah, he should be okay. Beepy is friendly," the rodian assured.

"Chopper isn't," Rae commented.

The rodian man stepped towards the door once again, looking around the street carefully before closing the garage door again. He turned to the group. "Sorry about that. I- I've been on edge ever since I sent that transmission to the rebels."

"It's okay, Mr. Solarburn," Kanan took down the cloth covering his face.

The rodian seemed to laugh in disbelief. He gripped his head as tears almost welled up in his eyes once he laid eyes on Kanan. "I'm not a Solarburn - but your father and grandfather were."

"My father? You just talked about our mother on that transmission." Kanan placed a hand on Athena's shoulder.

Athena took down her hood and bandana as well, revealing her face.

"You both look just like your parents," the rodian chuckled in disbelief, he gestured to Kanan. "You especially look like your father. You could almost be his clone."

"We have the same father?" Athena questioned.

The rodian nodded, "He was my best friend - same with your mother. We worked together in this shop for what seemed to be forever."

Ezra took off his helmet, "Wait, so you knew their parents? I thought Cyla was a Jedi, so why didn't she live and work in the Temple?"

The rodian man gave an unsure shrug, "She...sorta left the Order, but not completely for a while. She finally quit completely when the Clone Wars came along."

"She was basically unorthodox," Rae took off her helmet. "That's how she had a child, right?"

He nodded. He chuckled, as he leaned against a table, "Man, those were some times."

"What about this?" Athena held up the bracelet. "It looks to be made of a holocron. She left it for me on Earth."

The man's eyes seemed to sadden as she held out the bracelet in her hand. He crossed his arms and slumped his shoulders, "Your mother...she didn't make it did she?"

Athena sighed, "No. I never knew my parents."

The rodian sighed and looked to the ground, "Your parents went to Earth to protect you from the Empire. When they never came back, that meant one of two things to me: they died and the Empire took you, or they were raising you on Earth. When I got news that you were in this galaxy and on the rebel side, I immediately made contact with the rebels."

"They...they were going to raise me?" Athena's eyes were wide. "They- they-"

The rodian's eyes then turned confused and he looked at the girl. "Wait, how did you survive then? If your parents died, how did the Empire not get ahold of you?"

"Our mom was killed by Vader, but I have no idea about our dad," Athena shook her head. "I was taken into custody by my country's government."

"You...don't know what happened to Onthant?" he questioned.

Kanan questioned, "Onthant? Is he our father?"

The rodian nodded, "Onthant Solarburn. You're telling me neither of you know what happened to him?"

Kanan shook his head, "No. I had a vision of our mom's death, but before you just told us, I didn't even know what our dad's name was - or if we even had the same father."

He put a hand on his chin, "Well, I don't know. He's not one to give up on family. After the Clone War, we spent months looking for you, Caleb. I doubt he'd just leave Syla."

"Can you tell us more, possibly?" Athena nervously asked. "About our parents?"

The rodian had a half-hearted smile. He turned to his side and picked up a small cylindrical disk from the table he leaned against. He handed it to Kanan. "I made some copies of a few old photos I had of your parents. I figured you guys should at least be able to know what they looked like."

Kanna turned the disk on and was taken aback when a 2D image of a man and woman appeared in front of him.

The woman who appeared to them as a ghost the night prior smiled, years of age washed away from her face, as a man with light brown hair and light blue eyes had her in a side hug. He looked at her with a smile on his face. His hair back in a short ponytail and a full beard lined his chin. He wore a mechanic's outfit while she wore some Jedi robes.

"Woah...you weren't kidding when you said their dad looked just like him," Ezra's eyes were wide as he set eyes on the image. He came over to Kanan's side to get a better look. "They've got nearly the same exact face!"

Rae joined Kanan's side as well, looking at the couple with interest.

Athena stood in her spot and looked to the rodian. "You said something about a holocron. My mother's holocron I'm guessing?"

The rodian nodded. This time, he dug in the pocket on the side of his pants and took out a teal and gold cube. He handed it to the girl with a smile.

"Your mother said something about the Daughter guiding her to alter this holocron ever-so slightly. She said you'll know what to do with it when the time is right."

"The Daughter?" Rae was wide-eyed. "You mean like the Mortis God Daughter?"

The rodian nodded as he looked at the girl in purple, "Yeah. I don't know much about Jedi stuff, but that's what she told me before they left for Earth."

Athena's eyes carefully studied the holocron in her hands, turning it to look over every square centimeter.

"She used to work in the Jedi Archives and worked on holocrons," the rodian said.

"She was a holocron architect?" Kanan was wide-eyed.

He nodded, "Your mother was extremely intelligent. She was incharge of many holocrons in the Jedi Order's Archives - mostly repairing them. This is one of the few she made."

"Woah, so she made holocrons?" Ezra was amazed.

Athena quickly put the holocron on her belt under her cloak and looked at Kanan and the holographic photo of their parents. She walked over to them to get a better look.

It was such a strange feeling - seeing her parents photo for the first time. They looked so kind. It hurt to think those people wanted to actually raise her.

"So, why did they give their son to the Jedi Order?" Athena looked to the rodian.

"He was dangerously Force-sensitive," he sighed. "He almost got himself killed as an infant when he pulled his mother's lightsaber from her belt with the Force."

"I had that much ability as a baby?" Kanan questioned.

He nodded. "It was expected. Your mother was strong with the Force, so you were too. When the Empire took over, they sent Inquisitors after her. By the time that happened, we were just about convinced they already took you as an Inquisitor, Caleb. That's when they went to Earth for Syla."

"Why would they want us as Inquisitors, but our mother dead?" Athena looked to Kanan. "That makes no sense. If they want Dumes so bad, why did they kill mom?"

"Because you were the bigger prize," Kanan sighed in sadness as he answered. "They figured you'd be worth at least two Jedi with the abilities you picked up from Earth."

"That's why you need to avoid capture at all cost," the rodian advised. He shivered. "I've seen what they can do to a good man when captured."

"Our uncle…" Athena mumbled. She remembered the note left behind by her mother. "I won't let them take you like they did your uncle…"

Kanan was the only one close enough to hear that from her. His heart sank as he began to connect some dots.

Now one question remained - was he the brother of their father, or the brother of their mother? But, they never got enough heart to ask that question. They already knew too much. They already felt too much weight from it all.

Kanan squinted as he remembered back to the vision he had of his mother's final battle.

"I may have failed to protect my son and my Padawan, but I will die before I let you lay a hand on my daughter."

So...their mother had a Padawan and a brother? Or was this person both?

Just as they were about to leave, Kanan lingered just a little behind the group. Just when the others got out of earshot, Kanan put a hand on the rodian's shoulder and looked him in the eye.

"Jalo Hikra - who was he?"

The rodian froze. He gulped and sighed. "Someone I hope you never have to run into. Not now."

"He knew our mother."

"He knew all of us. Even you."

Kanan sighed and turned back to his group to join them. "Stay safe."

The rodian nodded and closed the door to the garage.

They made it back to the ship with no problem. Leaving the planet was a different story.

The Sith Lord stood next to the naval officer as they looked over the populus planet. In coming was a light freighter, several TIEs on its tail. They did not shoot. They needed the girl on that ship alive.

"It was foolish for them to come to Coruscant," Vader's heavy breaths echoed through the bridge. "My Master will be pleased when we retrieve these pesky rebels."

"Hold on!" Hera screamed as she began to take evasive action.

A whole fleet of Star Destroyers now surrounded them - a swarm of TIEs to follow. They weren't shooting at them, but rather trying to push them towards the massive Imperial Executor-class Star Dreadnought in the center. The Executor.

Ezra was in the nose gunner seat underneath the cockpit, Kanan in the top turret gun seat, Zeb in the attached Phantom's seat, Hera as pilot, and Sabine as co-pilot. Athena and Rae were made to strap down in the two seats behind Hera and Sabine.

They kept shooting down TIEs, but they kept coming.

"Hera...I feel the cold…" Ezra's worried voice came onto the com.

"It's Vader," Rae's voice went hoarse as her eyes were wide with fear. "That's his Super Star Destroyer."

"Keep shooting! Maybe we'll make it out of this!" Hera commanded over the coms.

Rae clutched her seat tightly as she sat directly behind their captain. Currently, the Padawan couldn't do anything. They were heading straight into the mouth of the beast. They were surrounded. Hopelessly outmanned. Hopelessly outgunned.

Athena could sense the cold. This was the first time she'd ever been ever so close to the Sith Lord since she was but an infant. This was the man who murdered her mother. This was the monster who left her as an orphan. This was the machine that was hunting her down.

The power around him…she recognized it. It wasn't the Ones. It was the Chosen One.

Her hands didn't feel like her own anymore. Her brain felt fuzzy as she slowly faded out of consciousness.

"Athena! Buckle back up!" Hera commanded as she heard the click of Athena's belt.

Sabine looked back to the Padawan and was wide-eyed when she set sight on her. "Uh...Hera?"

The girl's eyes were engulfed with teal - shining brighter than any time before. Her hair was bright gold as it floated around her. She moved in a manner that made Sabine convinced the girl was possessed.

"Athena, whatever you're doing, it better get these guys out of our way," Hera's voice was tight. She knew they were dead-meat at the moment. She didn't turn back to see the girl, but the teal light shining onto her controls told her all she needed to know. "Do your Jedi stuff."

"What the hell?!" Rae hardly swore, but this time it felt fairly necessary.

Athena's mindless body held both arms out, palms facing to the ceiling, as the holocron from her belt began to float in front of her. Her bracelet, eyes, and holocron all shone the same color.

Her voice didn't sound like her own when she spoke.

"Hang on."

The holocron began to expand, the corners floating away from the central cube. Rae and Sabine had to shield their eyes as the teal light began to engulf the entire cockpit.

Reality began to pull at them in a way they'd never felt before. A bright teal light now engulfed the entire ship, making it difficult for anyone to see through it.

When they looked around them, the planets, stars, and ships began to warp and wave in the space they occupied. The very atoms that they were composed of even seemed to be entering another state. All of the crew but Athena screamed as the fabric of reality began to mend around them.

They could see nothing but teal now.

When they finally opened their eyes again, each one of them found themselves slumped over in a temporary sleep. The crew slowly picked themselves up and looked around them to see familiar rebel ships and an Imperial fighter carrier.

"The...the fleet? Again?!" Sabine was wide-eyed. "How does this keep happening?"

"Was that Athena?!" Ezra called. "That was awesome!"

Hera, Sabine, and Rae slowly turned to look at the girl still standing in the middle of the cockpit. Her blonde hair wavering between glowing silver and gold and her eyes still engulfed with teal - even the white in her eye was covered in the mysterious shade. Her bracelet and holocron still floated in front of her - though not shining as brightly as before.

She stood there so stoic and strong. Never had they felt such a power emanate off the girl before. Never had the fabric of reality shifted to a person's command like that.

She caught the holocron and bracelet in hand as her appearance went back to normal. The girl chuckled as she looked over the objects in hand.

"Thanks, Mom."

Hera shook herself out of her petrified state and radioed the other rebels to tell them that they were preparing to dock on the fighter carrier.

When they landed, the rest of the crew flooded into the cockpit, clambering on about the exhilarating and terrifying sequence of events.

"That was so cool!" Ezra cheered, gripping Athena's shoulders as he smiled. "You can teleport us! That was so awesome!"

Kanan was still confused, "So, Mom's holocron helps with-"

Athena turned to Kanan, "With the right Jedi, you can warp through space. The same kind of thing that goes around Earth. The holocron helps with it."

"I could hug you, kid!" Zeb cackled. "I thought we were really toast back there. I really thought that was our last fight."

"Thankfully, it wasn't," Hera let out a big sigh. She placed a hand on top of Athena's head and said in a shaky voice. "Athena got us out of a really tough situation. I can't thank her enough."

"We...we were about to die…" Rae was still shaky from it all.

"But we didn't," Athena brushed Ezra's hands away from her shoulders. She brushed off the rest of the crew as well as she headed to the ladder. "I'm going to talk to Ahsoka."

The girl just about sprinted out of the ship, leaving the rest of her family in complete confusion. She ran up to her Master who seemed to be logging some cargo in the far end of the carrier. The togruta's eyes were wide with curiosity as her Apprentice ran to her.

"Athena, how was the trip to Coruscant? You are back earlier than expected."

"Tell me about the Sith Lord," Athena blatantly said, almost out of breath. She seemed so worried. Her muscles tense and her back stiff. A holocron in one hand, a bracelet in the other. "Who is he? What does he have to do with the Ones? I can sense it. He's not directly connected to them, but sure as hell has some inkling of connection with them."

Ahsoka blinked. This was so sudden. "The Sith Lord? You came across him?"

"We got close to his ship, but I was able to warp us out of there," Athena shook her head. "But I sensed him. It...it reminded me of them. Especially Son. He was strong. Stronger than the Son and Daughter. Who is he?"

Ahsoka was silent for a moment. She crossed her arms and looked down to the floor for a moment. "I...I know what you're talking about. When I sensed him, I could feel something to that degree as well."

"What do you know about him?" Athena questioned. "You said your Master was the Chosen One. No man should come close to the power that Sith had, not even the Chosen One, and not even me."

She paused before looking into her Padawan's eyes. The togruta spoke softly. "I...have had a lot of thought on this matter. I was thinking the exact thing you were."

"That he's connected somehow? To all this?" Athena questioned.

"That he's somehow connected to my Master," Ahsoka softly spoke, her voice cracking ever so slightly at the end.

Athena paused. She'd never seen Ahsoka like that. She'd never sensed such pain and sorrow from her Master.

Late at night, Athena's hands traced the metal engravings etched into the metal cylinder in her hands. In the solitude of the Phantom, Athena carefully inspected the long lightsaber hilt in her hands now.

She had crafted the hilt from pieces and parts of Fifth Brother's and parts she had received from the others. The two iridescent kyber crystals resided inside.

The girl slowly stood, holding the lightsaber out in front of herself, the long hilt parallel to the ground. Two beams ignited and a current of energy buzzed in the air. They morphed from color to color looking like an optical illusion as they refused to settle.

This was for her mother - murdered by the monster. This was for her poor father, probably forced into hiding or dead because of the machine. This was for all the pain and suffering this menacing Empire had put her friends and family through. This was for Ahsoka, the woman who was tormented by the whereabouts of her Master.

This was for her, the girl fighting to save her newfound family.

The two blades finally settled on teal and her steady eyes examined the familiar color.

"Vader, I'm coming for you. You aren't going to hurt my family anymore."
