Hey there! After completely my Lizzy fic Little Pink Riding Hood and setting it up as a prequel, I'm starting this fic to be a series focusing on a group of girls among the female students. The boys are still gonna appear but they won't be the focus anymore. I hope you will enjoy it.

A new day had risen on South Park and it was the beginning of a new year for the elementary school. Most kids were not looking forwards to the first day of school, but Wendy Testaburger was among those who were actually excited to go back to class. She even woke up earlier than usual and arrived first at the bus stop, ready to be back at school. It was her first day as a fifth-grader after all. But not so long after she arrived, another kid joined her- a girl with a pink parka she couldn't quite recall. A new student perhaps?
"Huh… Who are you?" Wendy asked.
The girl in pink glared at her.
"Who the fuck are you?" she replied.
Wow. Okay. Rude.
"I asked you first!" Wendy said back.
"Well, I asked you second!"
"... I'm Wendy. Wendy Testaburger-"
"Yeah yeah, I know who you are. You're one of the popular chicks, are you?"
"What…? Huh, I guess so? But, how do you know?"
"Look, I don't care about you, and you don't care about me either, and it's fine that way. You're popular, and I'm a nobody, and I'm cool with being just a background character in your story. So let's just keep it that way like it always has been, okay?"
"Uh… okay?"
The other girl went silent and simply ignored her. Wendy had no idea what had just happened. What a strange conversation! So this girl was actually not a new student? But before she could think about it more two other girls arrived at the bus station one of them being her best friend Bebe Stevens.
"Hi Wendy!" Bebe said.
"Hey Bebe…"
Wendy noticed that the other girl, Sally "Powder" Turner, was talking with the mysterious girl and their conversation seemed to be going a lot better than when she talked with her. Strange, given that Powder was also one of the "popular chicks". Wendy would need to have a chat about this girl later.
The bus arrived and they all got inside. Wendy and Bebe saw together in one of the front seats while Powder and the girl in pink both went to sit in the back.
"Hey, do you know who this girl is?" Wendy suddenly asked. "The one with the pink parka."
"Huh? Hmm, I'm not quite sure… I definitely remember seeing her at school from time to time, but then she kind of… disappeared."
"Disappeared?"
"Yeah, like, she just wasn't there anymore- Oh, right! Her! I remember, back in third grade, we did a sledding race against the boys. Me and Esther were tired of the boys always keeping the sleds for themselves and Powder got her friends to help us challenge them! It was her, that girl with the pink parka!"
"Wait, third grade? That long ago? I don't remember her at all! But seems like she really is a friend of Powder, and ever since third grade huh… Do you remember her name?"
"Hmmm… nope. She only ever hung out with Powder until she just, vanished for almost a year. Seems like she's back. I can't believe I forgot her- she was kinda cool not gonna lie."
Wendy couldn't help but find all of this very strange. And maybe even suspicious. People don't just disappear like that and come back as if nothing had happened.
She needed to get to the bottom of it.
"So kids, I know what you must be thinking. How the hell were we so lucky that we got the best teacher for not only third grade and fourth grade, but also fifth grade? It will be three years in a row!" Mr Garrison said with a smile.
The kids didn't seem to be sharing his enthusiasm. Horror, shock, disappointment, those were all various emotions displayed on the students' faces.
"Well, I got promoted to a fifth-grade teacher! Isn't that great? I'm so excited to be your teacher again for another year and… huh?"
Garrison's attention suddenly went for a specific student- a girl in a pink parka.
"Who the fuck are you!?"
"Who the fuck are?!" she asked back.
"I asked you first!"
"I asked you second."
"I'm a goddamn teacher young lady so show some respect! I think you're in the wrong classroom!"
"Actually, no, I'm your goddamn student and it is my class! Check your fucking list."
Garrison pulled out his class list.
"What's your fucking name!?"
"It's Lizzy fucking Bands!"
The teacher looked through the list and suddenly calmed down.
"Huh. You're right. You really are one of my students. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Welcome to my class, Lizzy. You must be a new student-"
"No actually teach, I've been here before. I missed almost a year because of… personal reasons. Just, treat me like your usual uninteresting students you don't care about and just go on with your class. I just came back to school to be with my bestie. I have no interest in standing out."
Well, it seemed like it had the opposite effect as everyone's attention was now focused on her. Both the boys and girls seemed curious about this student they didn't seem to remember, while Powder could be seen facepalming.
Wendy was also looking at her, but not with curiosity. She was even more suspicious now.
"Lizzy Bands… I'll discover who you truly are!"
Powder put some of her books inside her locker and when she closed the door, she flinched. Wendy was right there, seemingly waiting for her.
"Oh…! Hi, Wendy. What's up?"
"Powder, we need to talk. It's about Lizzy."
"Eh? What's about her?" Powder asked, looking a little bit concerned.
"Well, I was led to believe you and her were… friends. Is that correct?"
"Huh-uh. What about that?"
"You were friends ever since third grade-"
"Even farther than that."
"...Right. The point is, she's your friend, so you must know a lot about her. Like, maybe why she was missing for almost an entire year and came back without any explanation?"
Powder suddenly looked somewhat uneasy.
"Well, she said it was because of… personal reasons, so…"
"But you're her friend. You must know where she was during that time, right? Aren't you like, the bestie she mentioned? The one she came back to school for? You must have been in touch while she wasn't here, right?"
"Well, actually-"
"Yo, Powder. You ready to go… huh? Testaburger?"
Lizzy was standing there, staring at Wendy.
"Oh, hey Lizzy. Yeah, I'm ready," Powder said. "Seeya Wendy."
As they both left, Wendy grew even more suspicious.
"Hey Wendy. What's going on?" Bebe asked.
"I'm not sure Bebe. I still think there's something sus about Lizzy and Powder is covering for her."
"Oh, Lizzy's back?" Esther suddenly said. "I remember her back from the sledding race! It was very nice of her to stand up for us when Powder asked for her help. I wonder where she was for the last 11 seasons- I mean year."
"That's what I want to know too," Wendy said.
"I heard she actually went missing," Rebecca "Red" McArthur began. "The police was looking for her and she was declared as a missing person the entire time she was gone."
"Huh? I thought she was just, getting homeschooled or something," Lola commented.
"No, I heard it too from my parents back then," Heidi confirmed. "They were so worried it might be a kidnapping so they warned me. She really did disappear for almost a year with no contact with her family, nor Powder. The police legit thought she might have been dead!"
"Oh my God! Thankfully she ended up being alive!" Nelly exclaimed. "I'm jealous of Powder, she's the only one Lizzy would hang out with. I bet she's super cool!"
"No way, she just thinks she's too cool to hang out with us!" Lola protested.
"That's the whole point!" Nelly argued. "She's like a lone wolf! She doesn't fit in the social hierarchy! That's what makes her cool! She doesn't aline with groups, but individuals can reach out to her. Right Esther?"
"True. Just like with the sledding race," Esther agreed.
"Well, whatever she was doing during the time she was missing must have been pretty important I bet. She even said she came back to school only to be with her bestie? Powder?" Red said.
"So noble," Nelly added.
"Oh please. I bet she just wan away with her boyfriend or something and came back when things didn't work out," Lola said.
"She would never abandon her bestie for some boy!" Nelly protest. "She must have left because someone request her help far away and had to leave!"
"Oh, leave on a quest? Or a secret mission?" Bebe said.
"Maybe she secretly works for the government, or a secret organization, like a special agent or a spy!" Red added.
"No no, she must have been kidnapped by aliens!" Esther said. "She'd never leave her bestie of her own free will!"
"Unless she was forced too because of a curse, making her a threat for everyone around her!" Heidi added.
"Girls, you're not making sense anymore…" Lola replied.
The girls' discussion seemed to have attracted a lot more attention than expected. Most of their classmates were now crowded around them, listening, as well as some students from other classes.
Wendy sighed and walked away. Seemed like she was on her own to actually try to solve the mystery surrounding Lizzy. And maybe she needed to be more direct about it
The next day, Lizzy was in the girl's bathroom, washing her hand, and as soon as she turned off the tap someone walked in.
"Hi, Lizzy Bands."
Lizzy turned back, ending up face to face with Wendy.
"What do you want, Testaburger?"
"I want the truth. I'm not gonna sugarcoat things with you and kick around the bush. I want to know exactly what you were doing during that year you went missing."
"Huh? Where's that coming from? Why do you wanna know?"
"Because I think you're sus! You just disappeared for almost a year, without telling anyone? The police thought you were dead and you're suddenly back just so you can be in school with your bestie? I don't buy it. There's more to it and I can feel it. You're hiding something. Something big!"
"Yeah, my fucking personal issues! Geez, can't a girl get some privacy?"
"What could be so important to you that you would let your family and best friend believe you might be dead for almost a year?"
For the first time, Lizzy seemed conflicted. She looked away for a moment before staring back at Wendy.
"Do you really wanna know the truth?" she said.
"Well yeah, I do!" Wendy replied.
"Are you really sure? Cuz it might change your entire worldview and I don't want you blaming me after."
"I swear I won't. I'm ready."
"Welp, you asked for it. Can't tell me I haven't warned you," Lizzy said as she got closer to Wendy, speaking lower. "So, the truth is, during the time I went missing, I was actually… chilling in a volcano."
"... What?"
"Yeah, I know. Hard to believe but it's the truth."
"... Are you fucking kidding me!? What is that even supposed to mean?!"
"It means whatever the fuck you want. You said you wanted the truth? That's literally what I was doing when I was missing for almost a year. Chilling in a volcano!"
"I have no idea what that means!"
"Well, that's not my fucking problem. Now let me go back to being in the background while you do your thing. There is literally nothing more for you to learn worth knowing from me. Bye."
Without letting her add anything, Lizzy left the bathroom, leaving Wendy with more questions than answers.
Back in class, Wendy sighed. She wasn't going anywhere. She was even thinking about giving up. She was still convinced Lizzy was hiding something, but she was definitely not willing to reveal what it was. Perhaps it was preferable to let it be. Eventually, the truth might reveal by itself if it was important, but if it really was something personal and not worth knowing, then it would be better not knowing after all.
"You know this girl in our class, with the pink parka?" Butters began. "I heard she was actually a secret agent and even a spy!"
"You got it all wrong Butters," Clyde corrected. "She actually works for the CIA."
"That's silly. We all know she was abducted by aliens and that's why she went missing," Kevin argued.
"Wait, I heard she ran off with her lover and came back after she discovered they were actually a serial killer," Token said.
"Wasn't she on some secret mission to bring peace in a foreign country?" Craig asked.
"I heard she was cursed to turn into a monster every night and that's why she had to leave!" Tweek exclaimed.
"Not gonna lie I thought she was dead and forgot about her," Stan admitted.
"Yeah same," Kyle said. "I'm glad she's okay though."
"Wait she died and came back!?" Kenny reacted.
"Oh my God, you guys… what if she's a fucking ginger under that hoodie!" Cartman said.
Wendy rolled her eyes. Seemed like rumours had already started to spread. What could you expect from being absent for so long?
As the class continued to discuss this, the main subject of discussion suddenly walked in and everyone went silent. Lizzy looked around and then sat at her chair, while the other students glanced at her from time to time. Lizzy seemed to have noticed and looked quite annoyed.
"What are you looking at!?" she exclaimed.
They immediately all looked away. Wendy couldn't help but smile to herself. If this is really annoying her, then her only option was to stop the rumours from spreading even more.
And there was only one way to do that and it was by revealing the truth.
Perhaps Wendy may get what she wanted after all.
