A/N: So, I'm glad, honestly to see that people are still interested in my story, in the short time that it's been up (Under 24 hrs from the time I've started this chapter) it has gotten almost 200 views. So, while that may not be a lot to some authors, to this author; it is, so... Thank you, I very much appreciate it.

Disclaimer: not mine, just the shirt and box set I own.

Videl sat upright in a fairly large bed inside one of the bubble shaped rooms, terror coursing through her veins as she recalled what she had seen just before everything went black. A large purple dragon crashing headlong into Gohan. Him laughing and playing with the dragon, even going so far as to say his pet thought it was a dog.

She stopped and ran the fingers of one hand through her hair, and the other she used to wipe the sand from her eyes. Shaking her head, she muttered to herself, "It has to be a dream... It has got to be a dream, there's no way in HFIL that was all real." Her murmurings were interrupted when a blonde blur blasted through the door to her room. Erasa skid to a stop in front of her bed before deciding decorum was outdated and launched herself into the bed beside her best friend.

"How was it Vi?" She asked, her personality as bubbly as a bursting soda, Videl paused, "How was what, Erasa?" She answered her question with a question, "How was ya know," She turned to make sure the door was close, "How was Gohan?" She finished her statement with a salacious wink, and Videl groaned, "I don't know what you mean E," She stated, "Gohan just took me to a garden and then introduced me to a friend of his," She snorted at the memory, "And the next thing I know I'm waking up here."

She paused for a moment, "Where is here by the way." She asked looking around, there wasn't much in the room but a large bed, a large dresser and a desk facing the window. As far as personal effects went there wasn't really anything in here, "This is your room for the week Vi," She pointed to the door, "My room is right across the hall, and Gohan and Sharpies are the next rooms down."

Sighing dejectedly, "Here I thought something interesting happened when Gohan carried you up here in his arms like a princess," She huffed turning her head and causing her blond locks to fly away, "Thanks for getting my hopes up for nothing." As she went to walk away Videl reached up and grabbed her arm, "How did you get in here anyway?" Erasa pulled out a small keycard, "Miss Bulma was handing these out and for some weird reason handed yours to me after her brother talked to her." She shrugged, "Maybe he was watching some security cameras and saw Gohan carrying you, but Gohan found me not long after and he showed me where to bring you to get some rest."

She paused for a moment, pursing her lips, "You were out the whole night, did you know that?" Videl was going to get up but her motions ceased mid-movement. "I was unconscious for the entire night?" Erasa turned and headed for the door, "Yupp, I think Gohan is already back in the lab we were at yesterday, probably working on you two's project. I could be wrong though." Videl growled.

Going over to the closet she grabbed her normal set of clothes and changed out of her prissy outfit back into something far more comfortable for her, her bike shorts, and white over shirt complete with a pink shirt with the word 'fight' spread across the chest. She got into the hall after getting dressed and decided the best way to find the lab would be to see if she could find the hallway filled with photos.

Half an hour later, all growls and small curses, generally aimed at Gohan she ran into someone she kind of recognized, a small blue haired boy, Bulma's son if she wasn't mistaken. Decked out fully in a small Gi, purple and tied with an orange belt wrapped around his waist. She growled and he froze momentarily on the spot, turning slowly towards the irate teen.

His reaction was much too slow, because she grabbed him by the ear, "Where's Gohan." She stated her question plainly, well growled her question plainly. Trunks for his part looked very unsure of what to do, because he knew that Gohan cared about the weakling and he didn't want to hurt her but he really didn't want to disobey Gohan when he had been told not to let her near the Gravity Room.

His body turned to follow his ear as she began twisting it, trying to get him to answer her question when he was clearly deep in thought about how to answer it. "Have you checked the lab?" He decided to lie, "If I knew where the lab was, I'd check there, but I don't know where it is." She grabbed him by the other ear, "Now you're going to show me where it is, right Trunks?" Her smile wasn't quite a smile. Trunks thought the best description of her smile would be when Mr. Piccolo tried to smile.

They were both very scary experiences. He nodded his head, making her lose her grip on his ear as he did, and led her towards the labs and away from the titanic collision of power he had been about to watch. His stomach began to growl softly, then louder until it was a low roar in the empty hall. Not thinking about who he was with and who they were searching for, he began to talk to himself, "Man... Dad and Gohan aren't finished with their spar yet, and they're going to clean out the kitchen, mayb-"

His ramblings were cut off by a chilling voice and the dreaded ear pinch, "What." Videl lowered herself to his level, her eyes burning angrily into the child's, "I thought you said you thought Gohan was in the lab." Her eyes bounced back and forth between his as if daring him to lie to her again knowing she'd spot it.

He tried looking away but all she did was get even closer to his face, 'This chick as scary as Aunt Chi-Chi' "Now..." She began softly, her voice ringing in his ears with her proximity to him, "You're going to take me to Gohan," She threw out her best Satan glare, and while normally it wouldn't have been effective on the young prince, she was currently a younger incarnation of his best friend's mother, "Right, Trunks?" She growled, her teeth grinding together.

Trunks squirmed, actively trying to escape her grasp without hurting her. With all the wisdom his young mind could conjure he decided right then and there, 'Screw this, Gohan can deal with her.' And sighed, before gently taking hold of her wrist and applying a minute amount of pressure to escape her fingers. "I'm so dead..." He monotoned, turning and walking away pausing a few feet away, "He's this way, are you coming?"

Needing no further encouragement Videl followed the young bluenette down the hall, once again getting lost in the twists and turns. "How do you keep the visitors from getting lost?" She decided to ask, Trunks turned on his heel, continuing the same pace, "Normally people grab a map from the lobby, or they ask mom for a specific application." Her unamused stare made him answer with an angsty sigh, "God you're annoying," He spun on his heel again, "Mom made a map application that only works within the confines of the building, and prevents screenshots and or photos of being taken of the app."

"What about the hard copy map?" She asked dryly, Trunks shrugged, "Those are reclaimed and have a special chip in them to prevent photos too." Videl bobbed her head, "What about redrawing it?" Trunks shrugged again, "I don't think anyone would be interested in redrawing a forty-seven-page map?" Videl shrugged accepting that point.

"How would I go about getting the app?" Trunks shrugged, "Ask mom, or Gohan." Videl paused for a moment, taking a couple quick steps to catch back up with the speed walking youngster, "Ok, your mom I can understand, but why Gohan?" Trunks looked up over his shoulder at the teenager, "He's the one who helped her code it, built the security measure and everything."

She pinched the bridge of her nose, almost completely closing her eyes, "So you're telling me..." Her voice started of soft, "That I could've been avoiding getting lost..." It had escalated to a normal tone, "If Gohan had just mentioned the app..." Her voice was just loud enough to be heard in a crowded room and by this point Trunks knew what was coming since he plugged his ears, while keeping an eye on her lips, "Gohan Son, I am SO going to kick your ass!" She was absolutely livid and roaring just like Bulma or Chi-Chi when one of the hard headed men in their lives did something stupid.

"I take back what I said earlier," Trunks stated cleaning his ears with his pinkies, "Gohan's so dead." He chuckled, fully intent on recording how that 'conversation' went for his mom. He paused, stopping just outside a pair of doors, "He's in this room, but we have to go to the observation booth to get their attention, it's safer that way." He pulled open the door on the left, and acted like a waiter, motioning her in.

She walked into the door, stomping up the steps two at a time. When she got into the observation booth, Trunks following directly behind her he pointed towards the empty room. "They're in there." His eyes darting back and forth, she looked at the child and growled, "There's no one in there Kid."

Trunks was about to respond when there was a loud hollow thud, and Videl's attention was drawn towards the no longer empty room. Gohan was in only a pair of Gi pants, if they could even be considered bottoms at that point. They were completely shredded almost beyond measure. She noticed coach Vegeta appear at the opposite end of the room, a small glowing ball in his hand.

She watched Gohan drop out of the person shaped indent in the wall and begin to draw one of those same glowing balls out, before a replay of their dodgeball game took place, a multitude of blasts rocked the inside of the Gravity room, before Trunks decided it would be a good idea to let them know he was there.

Reaching over to the control panel he hit the intercom button, "Hey Gohan, your partner is here." Videl had kept her eyes, confused but locked on to the tall teen. She watched as his expression changed from pure violence to confusion, and then to a blinding white light when all the blasts Vegeta launched managed to swarm him after he stopped firing.

"Gohan!" A panicked scream tore from Videl's mouth, sounding far less angry than she had been, worry replacing the entirety of her being. Trunks on the other hand merely groaned, "Man, dad's going to rip him a new one for getting distracted so easily." She turned to rush down the stairs when a small hand gripped her by her shirt and shorts, locking her in place.

"Don't worry, Gohan's fine. Him and dad do this all the time." His voice not quite placating the panic-stricken teen. In fact, his hold and nonchalant attitude made her temper worse, "I DON'T CARE-" she paused as his words caught up to her runaway brain, filled with images of a dismembered, burnt, bloody or possibly even deceased Gohan, "He - they do this all the time?"

She stopped her struggle to escape the child, turning to focus on him instead of whatever she might find through the window into the training room, "Yeah, at least four or five times a week." Trunks looked up at her, "Can I let go now or will you try running down there again?"

Videl considered it, "I'll stay here." She complied, waiting for the child to release her and turn to face the window again. As soon as he had she tried to tiptoe down the stairs peeking up over her shoulder to make sure he was still facing the glass. Cheering silently in her head as she went to go check on Gohan, when she opened the door. There standing in front of her was the little boy she'd left upstairs.

Her only reply was to do an impression of a dying fish, as she opened and shut her mouth continuously. Trunks brushed past her and grabbed her by the clothes again pulling her up the stairs. "I told you, Gohan is fine." He growled, it sounded far too practiced to have come from a child's mouth, as he got up to the top of the stairs, he shoved her into one of the seats near the window and stood there with one hand locked on her shoulder.

With the other he pointed into the room at Gohan who looked barely any worse for wear, but who seemed to be in a shouting match with Vegeta. Vegeta started to hover in mid-air as the argument got more heated, and Gohan soon followed. The words were replaced by blows, it started off with rapid-fire punches and sweeping kicks but devolved into an all-out melee that was far beyond the gym spar they had put on for the class.

Trunks released her shoulder, "You see? He's fine." Videl heard the door at the bottom of the stairs open, and two sets of footsteps came towards them, she turned her head and spotted Mirai and Pan. Mirai glanced at Videl for a split second, "What'd Vegeta do this time to get Gohan so riled up?" Trunks shrugged, "Dunno, tried to tell him his partner was here and then he got blasted, and then this started." She watched as the pair in the room vanished, and then all the other occupants of the room winced, "Oh man, dad's not gonna let a cheap blow like that go..." Trunks winced.

Mirai snorted, "Well he's fighting Goku's kid, what'd he expect? He always had a hard head." Videl turned away from the running commentary trying - and failing - to catch even a glimpse of what was going on. From behind her Pan piped up, "You won't be able to see Videl," Her eyes darting back and forth, "You haven't trained to keep up with this sort of speed."

Videl turned around to look at the girl, "What do you mean? This can't be real; people can't just move so fast they disappear." Pan merely shrugged and continued watching the melee, "It's gotta be a trick Pan, cameras or mirrors or something!" Videl exclaimed, Pan glanced at her and then her form just faded out like a mirage, Pans voice came from her left, "It's not a trick, just hard work and perseverance." Videl looked over to see the girl sitting beside her.

She pointed from where she had been to where she was, "Wh-huh-bu-HOW?!" "Training, lots and lots of training." Was Pan's reply, then Videl heard Mirai whisper "Ahh crap..." Videl turned to face the room again and saw something she wanted very much to know how Gohan would work his way out of. There, in the middle of the room, were two fighters hovering in midair. That in itself, while strange wasn't what made her blood boil. She'd seen that and she had planned to question him later. No, what made her mad was that Gohan and Vegeta both had blonde hair and teal eyes.

Her shoulders shaking, she grabbed hold of the arms of her seat, the arms groaning in discomfort, her voice a mere whisper, "Gohan... lied to me..." The girl on her left vanished, reappearing behind Mirai, whispering into his ear "Mom-Splosion imminent, cover your ears." She quickly plugged her own ears, the others in the room doing the same. "THAT SON-OF-A-BITCH LIED TO ME, OOOH! WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU SON GOHAN, YOU ARE SO DEAD! YOU!" She roared, turning to Mirai, pointing her finger at him, "You can go get that liar and DRAG HIS ASS OUT HERE!"

Videl stood, accidently ripping the arm of the chair off. "I'm going to KICK YOUR ASS!" She raged as she pointed towards the window. She swung the arm of the chair at the glass. Which admittedly did nothing, her screams went from coherent to just noises. She turned, seeing that Mirai hadn't moved an inch, his eyes wide. "Well!? What are you waiting for?"

He blanched, Pan blanched, Trunks cowered in fear behind a console. His mom had moments like this, but she only grabbed a spoon or a wrench, she never ripped a seat into pieces. She took a deep breath, her rage contorted features calming down into an almost amicable smile. "I don't care who, but someone get my science partner for me please?" Her voice was sickly and sweet, completely opposite of the rage showing in her eyes.

Trunks decided he'd be the one to stop the scary woman, and walked over to the intercom and pressed it again, "Gohan, Videl is still here," His gaze flashed over to the teenager smiling as she thumped the armrest into her palm, "And she's got this kind of scary look on her face." The scowl that erupted on her features made him press the button again "Never mind she's very, very, pretty and kind... GOHAN GET IN HERE!" He ducked behind the console again.

The voice appearing in the Gravity room this time distracted Gohan enough for Final Flash to crash into him, sending him spinning into the wall and knocking him out of Super Saiyan. Vegeta floated up to the window, looked over at the fuming teenager and looked away with a small wince, his own clothes in tatters. He pointed to Mirai, then mimed dragging Gohan out of the room. Mirai nodded and started down the stairs, "You coming Videl?" He asked, "It'll be a couple hours before he can answer any questions though."

She scowled dropping the armrest, "Why would it be a couple of hours?" Her arms crossed in front of her, Mirai pointed towards the room, "Do you think he's in any condition to answer questions?" He grunted, facing towards the stairs again, "The only reason Vegeta would ask me to drag him out is he's unconscious." He stopped at the door, "Stay here, I'll be back with him in a second." He opened the door, his clothes seemed to drop towards the floor, losing all slack.

Moments later he was back with Gohan slung over his shoulder, "But he'll be in the rejuvenation chamber for at least a couple hours." He adjusted the bloody form on his shoulder barely noticing as the arm bouncing over his back seemed to have a new elbow in the forearm. Videl blanched, "His... his arm, is broken?" She had seen broken arms before, she'd had a few, but never had she seen an arm just flopping around like that. Mirai shrugged, "He'll be fine, if it's not missing it's all good."

"Now, he's got a date with a rejuvenation chamber and you have time to figure out what you're going to ask him." He took off down the hall with Videl in hot pursuit.

A/N: Now, while I know I've had Videl being more blush and angsty around Gohan and this whole chapter seems to revolve around her being abrasive as crap, think about it from what I feel would've been her point of view.

She woke up, in a new place after being scared by something, to having the one person she could ask questions about it with being gone, completely MIA, so on top of him being missing, she gets lost trying to find said person only to get lead around by the nose by Trunks, who inadvertently pops the bubble on his own lie, and Videl Satan is pegged in most stories and the show, as just about as Full-Bore truth as you can get.

So, you get to see her jump from the way I've had her the past few chapters to angrier than a bull surrounded by red flags. And in regards to Trunks going from junior prince of all Saiyan's to being scared of a teenage girl holding an armrest. It seems improbable, truly, it does. But, how easily does Chi-Chi or Bulma control their menfolk with simple objects (like a pan, wrench, soup spoon) and their voice? Plus, I'm sure everyone knows the mother of a Saiyan isn't to be messed with, even the prince of all Saiyan's (all 6 of them) knows that.
