A/N: Hello, my lovelies! Did you miss me? Well, I'm back with another little update for you. More interaction between Emmett and Sadie this time and it's getting a little steamier in this one. Nothing too heavy, but just a touch of steam. I hope you like it. Thanks for the one review, you lovely person you! And the continued support! Without further ado, enjoy!

OOOOOOOOO

Sadie yawned and opened her eyes the next morning when someone knocked on her door. Carlisle looked at her from her partially opened door with a concerned looking Esme standing next to him. Sadie pushed herself up onto her elbows and watched the two of them slip into the room, shaking her head to push aside the remaining haze of the drugs that he had given her to help her sleep.

"How are you feeling this morning, Sadie?" Esme asked as Carlisle sat down on the edge of her bed next to her bandaged ankle.

"Groggy," Sadie muttered, shaking her head again. "You might have given me a little too much of that drug, Carlisle. I slept a little too well last night. Didn't wake up once like I usually do."

"Well, you could use the sleep," Carlisle told her, pushing the blankets off of her foot and he gently lifted it up so that he could begin unwrapping it. "Your body needs the extra rest to heal and after your travels throughout the country to get here, I think you deserve a good night's sleep."
But did I really need to dream about Emmett like I did? Sadie wondered, watching Carlisle's skilled hands unwrap her ankle. All of that unnecessary touching and kissing? The expanses of skin and the sounds. The movements and the thrusting? She bit her bottom lip to keep herself from making a sound. If Emmett could read my thoughts like Edward can, he would probably try to act out on what he saw in my head. And would I be able to stop him? Would I really want to? I know I have to, but would I want to?

Carlisle bared her ankle to the world, it still slightly pink, and set the bandages aside. He gently probed at the ankle and looked to her, his amber eyes searching hers. "I don't feel any swelling," he told her. "Do you feel any pain?"
Sadie released her bottom lip and shook her head slowly. "Nope. I could try and stand up. You know, walk around on it for you, if you want to see that it's all right for me to move on it."

Carlisle nodded and stood up. He offered her a hand up and Sadie took it. She swung her legs over the side of the bed and cautiously pushed herself onto her feet. The ankle didn't hurt anymore, but her head swam as she stood up. She took a step forward and almost fell, but Carlisle caught her.

"It's not the ankle," she told him, shaking her head. "It's my head now. The drugs you gave me. They're not quite out of my system yet." She looked up at him and her lips twitched at the corner. "What did you give me? Elephant tranquilizers or something, Carlisle?"

Carlisle shook his head and looked over at his wife. "I don't think that she should leave the house today on her own," he said quietly. "Not until the sedative I gave her is out of her system."

Esme pressed closer to the two of them. "Is there anything that we can do to get it out quicker?"

"Give her plenty of liquids and let it work its way out naturally," Carlisle said, turning his gaze back onto Sadie as she readjusted her grip on him. "Your natural healing abilities should speed up the process, but even then, you should take it easy."

Sadie hummed in agreement and patted him on the arm. "So, no rough housing with the neighborhood dogs. Got it."

"What's wrong with her?" Rosalie's voice asked from the doorway and all eyes turned towards the door.

Sadie frowned as she saw the beautiful blonde standing in the doorway with Emmett standing right behind her. Concern was in his eyes as her dark eyes met his.

"The drug that Carlisle gave her last night to help her sleep through the pain hasn't left her system yet, Rosalie," Esme told her, shaking her head.

"Oh." Rosalie rolled her eyes. "It's always something with her, isn't it?"

Sadie childishly stuck her tongue out at the gorgeous vampire instead of flipping her off since both Carlisle and Esme were in the room with her. Carlisle eased her down onto the edge of her bed and Sadie folded her arms across her stomach, frowning at the two vampires in her doorway.

"Did you have something that you wished to tell us, Rosalie?" Carlisle asked, looking at his adopted daughter.

"Yeah," Rosalie said, nodding. "I'm going out. Shopping. Alone. I won't be back for a while, so don't wait up for me. I saw some things that I wanted to get and they're on sale, so why not? And I might pick something up for Bella. Just to be nice."

For once in your life, Sadie thought bitterly.

"That's nice, sweetie," Esme said with a bright smile. "You have fun."

"I will." Rosalie turned and bounced on her toes, pressing a kiss to Emmett's cheek. "I'll see you later, Emmett honey. Call me if you need me."

Sadie watched the gorgeous blonde disappear from sight, hating her with every fiber of her body. Emmett didn't watch his wife go away. His eyes didn't leave Sadie and didn't lose the concern.

"I should get to the office," Carlisle told Esme, looking at his shorter wife. He slid his eyes onto Sadie briefly. "I want you to let me know if your condition doesn't get any better, Sadie. I might have to bring you into the hospital, just as a precaution, if we can't get the sedative out of your system."

Sadie nodded and gave him a little salute. "Okay, but I'm not going to like that hospital part, Carlisle. I haven't been in a hospital since I was four."

Carlisle nodded and slid an arm around the waist of his wife, escorting her out of Sadie's room. Emmett moved out of the way to let his adopted parents pass and then he filled the doorway, bracing his hands on either side of the frame, watching Sadie. Sadie held his gaze for a moment and then looked away.

"Don't get any ideas," she told him flatly. "I might be in a haze of drugs, but I can still think clear enough to know that you're thinking things that you shouldn't be."

Emmett lifted an eyebrow and smirked at her. "You can read minds now? Wow, I think Edward is going to get jealous."

Sadie shook her head. "Why can't you just go away? Let me suffer in silence and misery."

"Nope. Not going to do that."

Sadie reached out and threw a pillow at him before he could take another step into her room. "Cross that threshold and I'll find something harder to throw at you, Emmett!"

Emmett scooped up her pillow and sniffed it, smiling behind it. "I'm not scared of you, Sadie. It's just me and you in this house right now. Esme and Carlisle just left."

"Great!" Sadie sighed, falling backwards on her bed and draping her hand over her eyes. "Fucking great!" She pointed her foot at him since she refused to remove her hand from her eyes. "Don't get any ideas. I'm warning you, Emmett."

The vampire laughed and jumped onto the bed, lying down on his side next to her. He tucked the pillow under her head and looked at her. Sadie grumbled under her breath and refused to look at him.

"Why does the world hate me?" she wondered out loud.

OOOOOOOOO

Emmett shook his head as Sadie mumbled to herself about how the world hated her, grinning. His eyes roamed over her body, still clothed in her rumpled nightclothes. Her nightshirt was pulled up slightly on her stomach, revealing her toned tanned skin and Emmett licked his lips, wondering what her flesh tasted like down there. His eyes wandered farther up her body, past her chest to the straps of her shirt which had fallen down her shoulders, sagging down low. He casually reached out and plucked one up, fixing it for her. Sadie stiffened under his touch.

"Stop," she ordered in a low voice.

"Stop what?" he asked innocently, running a finger over her arm.

"Stop touching me," she ordered, lowering her hand from her eyes so that she could look at him. "You're going to get caught by your wife and then my life is going to be an absolute nightmare! Don't you understand that, Emmett?"

"Rosalie isn't here," Emmett reminded her, pulling his hand back. "No one is here, but me and you. So, you can cool your jets and relax. We can do anything that we want. And I mean, anything."

Sadie tried to sit up, but apparently, she tried too fast because she nearly toppled over. Emmett caught her in his arms and she trembled against his chest.

"Don't you understand that we can't do anything that you want?" Sadie asked, even as she gripped onto him. "You're married and I am terrified that something could happen to the people that I'm beginning to consider a family!" She looked up into his eyes and frowned at him. "Emmett, why do you have to make this so hard for me? Why can't you just let me go and continue loving Rosalie like you've done for so long?"

Emmett raised a hand and brushed back a strand of her dark hair. "Because maybe I don't love Rosalie as much as I thought I did," he told her quietly. "Maybe it took you coming unexpectedly into our lives for me to realize that something was wrong in my relationship. That something was missing in my life, my heart, for so long. Maybe you were the person that I was supposed to love all along, Sadie, and it took me decades to find you."

Sadie shook her head and placed a hand on his chest, his undead heart racing under the contact. "Stop, Emmett, please. You were meant to be with her. Not me. This is exactly what destroyed my pack and sent me running away from my home."

Emmett stroked her face. "You came running to me, Sadie. You came to a new home. And you've found love. Like you were supposed to." He smiled down at her. "And I think that we were meant to be together. Do you want me to show you?"
Again, Sadie shook her head, but she remained silent this time, staring up at his face. Emmett caught her eyes sinking to his lips and then flicker back up to his eyes. He cupped the back of her head with his hand and pressed his lips to hers, kissing her tenderly.

Sadie didn't respond to him at first, resisting, but Emmett was patient. He coaxed her gently and soon, she responded to him. Her lips moved against his and she pressed herself closer to him, the fingers of one hand sliding into his hair. Emmett smiled into the kiss and slid his tongue across the crease of her lips, silently begging for entrance. Sadie gave it to him as she parted her lips and let his tongue slide against hers, tasting her.

Emmett pressed her down against the bed and climbed on top of her, rolling his clothed hips against hers. Sadie moaned loudly and tilted her head back as he ran his lips down the column of her throat, fisting at his shirt. Her eyes were squeezed shut against the world, but Emmett didn't mind. He was busy drinking in the sensation of her body against his. The taste of her flesh under his tongue, his lips. He let out a small growl as he dipped his lips to the crease of her breasts, left exposed by her falling nightshirt.

"Ah, fuck!" Sadie moaned, trembling under him, her hips rolling under his. "Please…please…please…"

Emmett lifted his face away from her breasts and returned to her lips to shut her up. Sadie kissed him back, fisting his shirt again and sliding her hand up under the front of it, stroking the hard muscles of his chest. Emmett groaned deep in his chest and lifted his lips from hers.

"Tell me you love me," he whispered, his lips hovering just above hers.

"Emmett," she breathed, her lips slightly swollen from his kisses.

"Just this once," he begged, wetting his lips with the tip of his tongue. "Please Sadie…please."

Sadie's hand continued to stroke his chest under his shirt and she nodded slowly. "I do love you, Emmett," she admitted softly. "So much that it hurts and it scares me at the same time. But I do love you."

Emmett smiled down at her and closed his lips over hers again, taking the kiss deeper as he rocked his hips against hers. He sat up on his knees after a moment and pulled his shirt off over his head, tossing it aside so that it was out of her way. He wanted her to give her all the access that she wanted. Sadie looked up at him in wonder and he wiggled an eyebrow at her before lowering himself onto her again.

"We're just going to keep making out," he promised her, stroking her face with the pad of his thumb. "Unless you want to do something hotter and heavier?"

Sadie shook her head slowly and smoothed her hand down his chest. "We can't, Emmett. Not right now."

"Because of Rosalie?" he asked before shaking his own head. "I don't care about her like I care about you, Sadie. I've already told you that."

"It's not that, Emmett. Well, not completely." Sadie frowned at him and brought her hand back up his chest, snaking it around his neck. "I can't think clearly because of the drugs in my system. If I move around much more, I'm going to throw up on you and that is really - really unattractive. So, please move out of the way or get me to the bathroom in the next ten seconds."

Emmett shook his head and scooped up his love in his arms bridal style, jumping off the bed. "You know," he told her as he carried her out of the bedroom in the direction of the bathroom. "I think I'm going to like playing Doctor today with you, Miss Klark."

"Don't get used to it, Mister. This is a one-day thing."

Emmett laughed. "Honey, this is a forever thing."

OOOOOOOOO

Sadie watched Emmett ladle some soup into a large bowl and shook her head slowly. "I don't know if I trust you making me food."

"It's soup," Emmett said, coming around to her side of the kitchen island. "How hard can it be to make soup? Now, open up."

Sadie made a face at him as he presented a spoon to her lips. "I can feed myself, Emmett."

The giant vampire shook his head and smirked. "Nope! I'm the doctor today and you're my patient, so you have to do what I tell you. Just call me, Dr. Sexy." He presented the spoon to her again. "So, open."

Sadie tentatively touched her tongue to the spoon, tasting the hot liquid. It didn't taste poisonous, so she accepted the whole spoon into her mouth. Emmett raised an eyebrow at her as he slowly withdrew the spoon from between her lips.

"Well?"

"It's good," Sadie admitted. "But could you please put on a shirt? You're distracting me while I'm trying to eat."

Emmett grinned and flexed one of his pecs for her. Sadie let out a little laugh before she could stop herself and looked away, cheeks flaming. Emmett nudged her with the back of his hand to get her attention.

"Hey," he growled gently when she looked back at him. "Don't be embarrassed. I love your body just as much as you love mine."

"You haven't seen my body," Sadie reminded him.

"That can change."

"It won't anytime soon." She shook her head and opened her mouth to him. "More soup now."

Emmett slowly spoon fed her three more bowls of soup before Sadie shoved the spoon out of her face. She screwed her face up at him and shook her head.

"No more," she ordered when he lifted an eyebrow. "Please."

Emmett nodded and set the bowl and spoon aside. His hands descended on her hips and Sadie made a small noise as the giant lifted her onto the kitchen island. The giant vampire slid between her legs and put his hands on either side of her thighs.

"Hey," Sadie complained, frowning at him. "Some people eat on this thing."

Emmett's golden eyes seemed to threaten to eat her on the same counter. "How does the head feel?" he asked quietly.

"Clear. No more haze or dizziness. I think the drugs are out of my system now."

His gaze lowered down on her body. "And the tummy?"

Sadie slid a hand over her stomach and rubbed it. "Full. Not at all nauseous. So, no more barfing. I think I'm good."

She watched as Emmett's tongue darted over his lips as his eyes returned to hers. "So, we can make out again?"

A sigh passed through Sadie's lips even as she draped her arms over Emmett's bare shoulders. "Emmett, seriously? You know that we shouldn't do that again. It was nice. I mean, really nice, but do you really think that we should do something like that again?"

It was the wrong question to ask and she regretted doing it the moment she did. Because she knew what he was going to say before he said it.

"Yeah, because I liked it and more importantly, you liked it." Emmett slowly rubbed his hands along her thighs. "And it's still only me and you in this house, Sadie. We won't get caught and if we do, who cares?"

"I care. And you should too."

"Well, the fact is I don't. Not really." His hands snaked up to cup her face between them, thumbs rubbing over her bottom lip. "Not like I care about you, you stubborn little wolf girl. So, please stop fighting me and let Dr. Feel Good take care of you."

Sadie lifted an eyebrow, staring at his lips. "I thought you wanted to be called Dr. Sexy?"

"Well, this sexy doctor can make you feel good if you'd just shut up and let him," Emmett told her, lowering his lips to hers.

Sadie didn't resist this time. She couldn't help it with the way that Emmett made her feel when he touched her and he was right. No one was around right now, so they wouldn't get caught. She could handle the guilty feelings later when she saw Rosalie come back from whatever shopping trip that beauty was on. Right now, she had Emmett to herself and he was holding her in his arms, kissing her passionately.

The wolf reached up and wrapped a hand around his neck, pulling him closer to her and felt a gentle growl build up in his throat. Emmett pressed himself closer between her legs, pulling her further off the edge of the counter until she could feel him pressed against her most sensitive parts and gasped softly against his lips.

"Surprised by your effects on me?" Emmett whispered to her between his kisses.

Sadie didn't get a chance to reply before Emmett returned to kissing her. His tongue slid into her mouth again and danced against hers and Sadie moaned softly. When Emmett's lips travelled from her mouth to her neck again, Sadie lifted herself slightly and rocked her hips against his, not caring about anything anymore except touching him.

"Well, hello," Alice's voice came to Sadie's ears and the wolf's dark eyes snapped open. "This is an interesting development. Isn't it, Jasper?"

Sadie sank back down onto the counter as Emmett lifted his face away from her chest which he'd been licking at and glanced at the entrance to the kitchen. Alice and Jasper stood there and waved, smiling at the two who had just been caught. Sadie's cheeks flared with heat and she lowered her hands from Emmett's neck, sliding them slowly down his chest until they fell in her lap. Emmett didn't look embarrassed at all. He looked proud to have been caught and hadn't removed himself from between her thighs or his hands from her sides.

"How – how long have you been standing there?" Sadie asked, looking at her best friend and Jasper.

"Long enough to see that you two are friendlier than I thought," Alice said with a bright smile. She glanced over at Jasper. "I told you that we were going to find them doing something that they shouldn't be."

Jasper shook his head and diverted his eyes. "Uh, Emmett, you might want to cool your little friend down a bit."

Sadie glanced down the same time that Emmett did and shook her head when he grinned at her. He looked back at Jasper with a smirk.

"Sorry bro," he said though Sadie knew that he wasn't sorry at all. "But we both know that it ain't little at all. And around this one," he jerked his head towards Sadie. "It's got a mind of its own."

"Well, cool it down before someone sees it. You're not getting lucky tonight." Jasper gestured vaguely at Sadie. "I think we killed the mood for her."

Sadie shrugged her shoulders when Emmett looked back at her in question. "He's not lying."

"Damn!"

"So, why did you come back?" Sadie asked, trying not to watch Emmett adjust himself. "I thought you two had plans."

"We did, but I also thought that you said that you could keep yourself distant from him," Alice reminded her with a small shrug. "I guess things can change, can't it, Sadie?"

Sadie frowned at her. "I said that I could keep myself from falling in love with him and not be interested in a relationship, Alice. I didn't say that I'd keep my distance."

Emmett looked at her with a grin. "Ooh! You lied big time and now you're making out with me." He looked over at his adopted siblings with a laugh. "She's been all over me twice today."

Sadie smacked him on the chest. "You were the one that was all over me!" She glanced over at her friends. "He was all over me. Not the other way around."

"Not from what we saw," Jasper said, shaking his head. "I think it was pretty even on both sides."

"So, why'd you interrupt us?" Emmett asked, smoothing a hand up Sadie's inner thigh. "I thought we were getting to the good part again."

Sadie flicked his hand away from her thigh.

"Well, there's a big storm coming and we thought that we'd invite Sadie to her first baseball game with us," Alice said, looking at Sadie as she folded her arms over her chest. "Since she's never played with us, I thought it would be nice. But if you two have other plans…"

"A vampire baseball game in a storm?" Sadie asked, lifting an eyebrow.

"It's the only way that we can play," Jasper told her, shoving his hands into his pockets. "We make too much noise normally. Thunder covers up the noise. So, storms are perfect."

Emmett was bouncing on the balls of his feet. "If she comes, I want her on my team."

"Of course, you do." Alice's lips twitched at the corner. "So, Sadie, do you want to play after dinner? Rosalie won't be coming back until way after the game is over, so you should be safe to be buddy-buddy with Emmett for a while longer, if that's what you want."

Sadie reached up and kept Emmett's eager face away from hers. "I guess I'm game. I haven't played a supernatural game of ball in a while. It could be fun."

"It's a date then."

Emmett kissed her palm and Sadie looked over at him as she kept her hand pressed against his face.

Sam, it's getting closer to that time where I might need your help, Sadie thought out into the world, though she hated herself for it. I'm not ready for it yet. I don't know when I will be, but I think it's coming close. Something tells me that I may have to move and move soon. Will you be ready for my call when I have to make it?

The wolf waited silently, watching Emmett make faces behind her outstretched hand.

I will be waiting for your call, young wolf. Do not hesitate to reach me should the need arise.

Thank you, Sam.

Sadie closed her mind off from the other Alpha and smiled up at Emmett as she lowered her hand. "So, do you want to help me pick out my outfit for this vampire baseball game that I'm crashing?"

Emmett grinned from ear to ear and threw her over his shoulder. "Awesome!"

"Hey!" Alice protested as Emmett approached her, carrying a laughing Sadie with him. "I'm the one that gets to pick out her clothes!"

"She chose me, Al, so deal with it." Emmett nudged his sister out of the way and started down the hall. He tapped Sadie on the butt. "Does this mean that I get to pick through your underwear drawer too? See all of your unmentionables?"
Sadie shook her head and smacked him on the ass, earning a laugh. "No! You're keeping your hands out of my underwear drawer! I get to pick those out myself and you're leaving the room when I get undressed and redressed."

"Damn!"

OOOOOOOOO

A/N: Well, I think I might have gotten a little carried away with the makeout scenes, but I don't know. I've never personally had one myself with my short-term two boyfriends in my slightly over two-decades of life. Don't ask about 'em because they were both terrible. I do hope that more people will review this time. I like hearing your thoughts. So, let me hear them people! I'll get back to you when I can. Thanks, and much love! -Scarlet
