A/N: Hello there, my lovelies! It's been a very long time since I last updated, hasn't it? Been very busy with life and other projects and bad things have happened in my life. Very bad things…But I'm back because this story needed an update and I'm giving you one. I hope that this makes you lot happy. And thank you for the massive support! Enjoy!

OOOOOOOOO

Sadie was seated in Emmett's Jeep as he drove towards the place that the Cullens were going to have their baseball game and she couldn't help but smile at he bounced in his seat. He kept singing to the music and glancing over at her as he bounced.

"You are way too excited," she commented, plucking at the blue shirt that she wore, one that matched his. Something that she didn't think was just a coincidence. Neither did she think the fact that he had chosen to give her tight jeans or his jacket was a coincidence either. "Something up?"

"I'm just happy that we're doing this," Emmett said, smiling as he placed a hand on her knee and squeezing. "And that we get to make out again afterwards."

"No, we don't," Sadie said, flicking at his hand. "Because most likely, Rosalie is going to be back by the game is over."

Emmett shook his head and shifted his hand up higher on her leg, taking it up to her inner thigh to tease her through the denim. "I don't care, Sadie. We could sneak away after the game and then go home."

"Uh-huh, explain that away." She rolled her eyes and tried to not pay attention to his hand. "Emmett, I still think that's a bad idea. This whole thing between me and you."

"Well, I don't. I want you. You clearly want me too." He smirked at her. "I felt you grinding on me back in the kitchen. You want me bad, Sadie."

Sadie made a face at him and put a hand on his as he inched his hand closer to her inner lap. "You need to stop. Like now."

"Touching you? Or telling you the truth?"

"Yes."

"Smartass," Emmett laughed, shaking his head. His eyes turned towards hers. "I will not stop touching you, Wolf Girl. I like touching you, tasting you, and kissing the hell out of you. And you love it. And telling you the truth? I'm going to keep doing that too because you need to hear it. Because honesty is the best policy."

"Who says that?"

"Esme and Carlisle."

Sadie shook her head and looked back out at the world. "Well, they're wrong. You're wrong. This is wrong." She gripped his hand as he slid it down against her groin and stroked her. "Will you cut that out? I don't need that!"

Emmett's golden eyes seemed to glow. "Really? That's not what Edward told me earlier."

Fuck you, Edward! Sadie thought out to the world, hoping that the vampire could hear her. "Just stop touching me, Emmett. You are not getting anywhere with me down there. So, stop."

Emmett pulled his Jeep up next to the other vehicles and killed the engine. He turned in his seat to look at her and slid his hand along her face, brushing back a strand of her hair.

"I love you," he told her. "And I'm not going to stop doing that for as long as I live. I don't care how much that scares you, Sadie. Just know that I am going to protect you from whatever you think is going to hurt you again because that's how much I care about you. Me and you, we're made for each other. And Rosalie is not going to be a problem for much longer."

Sadie unbuckled her seatbelt and frowned at him. "Emmett, please don't do anything stupid. Like piss Rosalie off. Because I am not fond of the idea of getting killed by her."

"Like I'd let that happen," Emmett said, cocking his head to the side. "She may be a bitch, but she isn't going to hurt you."

"Yeah, right." Sadie turned and climbed out of the Jeep. "If you break up with her, she's going to get super pissy and freak out on everyone. She will come after me and she will do something. You just watch."

Sadie walked away from the Jeep, but Emmett appeared in front of her, stopping her in her tracks. His hands descended on her arms and gripped them lightly as he looked down at her.

"Nothing is going to happen to you as long as I live, Sadie," he promised with a small smile. "No one and nothing are going to hurt you. You're safe with me."

I wish that was true, Sadie thought, but she remained silent as she looked up at him.

Emmett popped his baseball cap off and put it into her head before lowering his face towards hers. Sadie reluctantly accepted his kiss, but kept it brief because she could hear Alice calling out for them to hurry up. Thunder rumbled overhead and Sadie knew that the storm was fast approaching.

"About time you both showed up," Alice complained, leaning against Jasper as he tossed a bat around. "Did you really have to feel her up so much, Emmett?"

Sadie felt heat course up to her face as she embraced Esme.

"Yeah, I did," Emmett said, nodding his head. He gestured at Edward as he stood next to Bella. "He said that she was thinking about it…and other things."

Sadie glared over at the brooding vampire. "You are dead meat, Edward."

Edward lifted an eyebrow at her. "And I know what you're thinking, Sadie."

Sadie pointed at him. "You shut it! I'll have a word with you later and don't be surprised if I throw something at you! Or hurl you out the window!"

Carlisle stepped in between them. "Now, now, let's not fight. We're here to have a friendly game of ball. So, please, relax. You two are obviously on separate teams, but don't kill each other."

"Sadie's on my team!" Emmett called out, putting an arm around Sadie's shoulders.

Sadie grumbled under her breath and crossed her arms over her chest, kicking at the grass beneath her feet. This is already a bad idea. I can feel it.

Carlisle delegated the rest of the teams and then everyone separated to parts of the field. Alice looked up at the sky and lightning cracked across it. She smiled and nodded.

"It's time!" she declared as the wind picked up, stirring her short dark hair.

Sadie had never had so much fun in her life. Playing supernatural baseball with vampires was an experience that she knew she could get used to, if she stuck around long enough to do it again. They hit the ball harder, threw it farther, and ran faster than anyone that she had ever played with. She had to put on her best effort to keep up with them and laughed the whole time, making sure to take out as many of the people that were against her. Her eyes kept turning to Edward and Emmett alternately, seeing that one was staring at her with lust and the other with a warning in his eyes. She hated one for his love and the other for his prying.

I need to do this, Sadie thought as she stepped up to the plate for the final time that night. I need to put myself in this position, you idiot, and there's nothing that you can do to change that. Because something could happen. She smirked as Edward pulled his hand back to throw the ball. You just watch me kick your ass over this…

OOOOOOOOO

Emmett walked over to his Jeep in the rain after the game, feeling happy that his team with Sadie had kicked Edward's. Because that vampire was a pain in the ass sometimes and needed a good kick in the balls sometimes. True, he'd love to do it, but something about the idea of letting Sadie do it was even better.

"Sadie," he said, glancing over at the girl as he walked. "Do I get a victory kiss?"

"How about no?" Sadie muttered stubbornly, glaring up at him under the brim of his baseball cap.

The giant vampire shook his head and pushed her against the hood of his Jeep, putting his hands on either side of her body, caging her in. Sadie made a small sound of annoyance, which he ignored. He wet his lips with the tip of his tongue and saw her eyes follow his tongue. Emmett smirked and lowered his face towards hers, kissing her slowly. Sadie only resisted him for a moment before surrendering herself to him and Emmett pressed himself closer to her, wanting to feel her body against his, every inch of her. Sadie slid her hands over his shoulders and kissed him, letting him slide his tongue into her mouth and stroke hers.

"Sadie," he whispered against her lips. "You drive me crazy…"

Sadie sighed and kissed him quickly before turning her face away. Emmett's lips created a trail along her jaw to her neck, licking off the raindrops that had fallen there. His love trembled as he held her in his arms, kissing her flesh and tasting her.

"Dammit," Emmett cursed when he heard his phone start to ring in his pocket. He lifted his face away from Sadie's neck and looked at her. "I could ignore it, Sadie, and keep going."

"Don't," Sadie said softly. "Just pick it up. It could be…someone important."

Emmett sighed and reached into his pocket, withdrawing his phone. He sighed when he saw that it was Rosalie calling. Now he really didn't want to answer the damn thing. But judging by the way that Sadie was looking at him, he knew that he had no choice.

"Yeah Rosalie?" he asked, putting the phone to his ear.

"Emmett, honey," Rosalie said, sounding perky and concerned at the same time. "Where are you? The others said that you all had a baseball game and they're all back already…but you're not? What's taking you so long?"

"Having a bit of trouble with my Jeep," Emmett lied, glancing over at Sadie again and seeing her look down at her feet. "I'll be home in a little bit."

"Good. I have something that I want to show you, my darling! I think that you're really going to love it!"

"I'm sure that I will," Emmett said, trying not to just tell her that it was over because it was better to do it to her face. "I'll see you when I get back to the house. Bye."

He quickly hung up and stuffed the phone back into his pocket. His golden eyes turned onto Sadie. "Sadie," he began.

"Just get me back to the house," she ordered with an almost sad tone. "I need to get out of these rain-soaked clothes and into something warm. Esme probably has something for me to eat too."

Emmett wished that there was something that he could say that would make her feel better, but obviously she wasn't going to have it. She slipped away from him and jumped into the Jeep, buckling herself in. All the way back to the house, she pointedly kept her gaze away from him and wouldn't let him touch her, would keep silent whenever he tried to speak to her.

I have to do it tonight, Emmett decided, watching Sadie walk ahead of him into the house. I have to tell Rosalie how I feel about Sadie and end it with her…Even if Rosalie does hate me afterwards, at least I'll finally be able to be with someone that does love me completely.

"Esme," Sadie said, stopping at the foot of the steps. "I'm going to change into some clothes and rest a bit. I'll eat later, okay?"

"Okay Sadie," Esme said with a small smile. "And Emmett, Rosalie is upstairs. She says that she has a surprise for you."

Emmett could care less about surprises from Rosalie. He didn't like the look on Sadie's face when she glanced over her shoulder at him before she hurried upstairs and into her room. He winced as he heard her door slam shut. His eyes turned towards Esme when his adopted mother placed her hand on his arm.

"Is something wrong with Sadie?" she asked softly.

"She's a bit moody, that's all," Emmett said, shaking his head. "I have to do something, Esme. It might get loud and you might hear some curse words, so just be prepared."

Esme nodded and lowered her hand. "Okay Emmett. Be careful."

Emmett hurried upstairs and walked down the hall to his room that he currently shared with Rosalie. He really wanted to walk over to Sadie's room and talk to her, but he had something to do first. Sighing, Emmett slipped into his room and closed the door.

"Emmett!" Rosalie exclaimed, throwing her arms around his neck when he turned to face her. "Honey, you are home! And you're absolutely soaked!"

Emmett turned his face away before she could kiss him and pushed her hands off his neck. "I know, I got caught in the rain, Rosalie."

"Well that doesn't matter," Rosalie said with a happy smile as she danced back, dressed in her satin robe that once turned him on. "It just matters that you're back and with me again. Because I've got a surprise for you!"

"So Esme said," Emmett muttered, shoving his hands into his pockets. "Rosalie, I need to tell you something."

"After," Rosalie said, plucking at the ties of her robe. "After you see the surprise and are done with me." She opened her robe and revealed a sexy red nightgown. "Well? What do you think, Emmett?"

"It's nice," Emmett said, not all that turned on by it. His thoughts were elsewhere.

"Nice? Nice?" Rosalie pouted and dropped her hands, approaching him. "Emmett, what's wrong with you? I – I thought that you'd love me in this and just throw me on the bed and go wild…Did – did I do something wrong?"

"You didn't do anything, Rosalie," Emmett said, shaking his head. "I just…I can't do this anymore."

"Can't do what anymore? Emmett, you're not making any sense." She touched his face with her hand. "Tell me what's going on."

"I want to be with someone else," Emmett told her, looking into her golden eyes.

Rosalie blinked and lowered her hand. "What?"

"I want to be with someone else," Emmett repeated, watching her. "I'm in love with another woman, Rosalie, and she loves me."

"Who is she?" Rosalie demanded angrily. "How long has this been going on?"

"I've known this for a while," Emmett admitted. "Ever since she walked into our lives…"

Realization seemed to dawn on Rosalie and she laughed. "It's the wolf? Fucking Sadie? You're in love with a God damn wolf, Emmett?" She backed away from him and laughed again. "You have got to be joking!"

"I'm not. I love her, Rosalie. Something about her just calls her to me and I can't get her out of my head." His eyes hardened. "I want to be with her. I have to be with her."

"You can't be with her. You're married to me." Rosalie raised her hand and wiggled her fingers, flashing her ring. The one that he had given her decades ago.

"We can get a divorce."

"But you still can't be with her," Rosalie stated, lowering her hand. "Because wolves and vampires don't mix, Emmett. We're enemies and your bite will fucking kill her. Your venom will kill her if you take a nibble and I know that you love to bite during sex. You'll lose control one day and boom, your precious bitch will be gone for good, and where will that leave you? Alone. Because I'm not going to take you back if you leave me for some mutt."

"I don't need you," Emmett growled, taking a step towards her. "And I'm not going to kill Sadie. I can control myself."

Rosalie laughed again. "Yeah, right! You couldn't even keep yourself off of her, could you? Well you know what? Fuck you! Fuck our vows!" She threw her wedding ring at him. "I don't need you anymore if want to waste your fucking life on some mutt! I hope you fucking kill her because I hate you both!" She pointed towards the door. "Get out of my sight, you bastard!"

Emmett shook his head, ready to throw out a biting comment, but he restrained himself. He simply turned and left. Something shattered against the door, but he didn't care. He was free of Rosalie now. Well, divorce papers still needed to be drawn up, but Rosalie and him were done.

I can be with Sadie now, Emmett thought, turning his gaze to Sadie's door which was still firmly shut. I'll get her something to eat and then we'll talk…She'll understand that I did this for her, for us…She has to.

OOOOOOOOO

Sadie winced as she listened to the argument that Rosalie and Emmett were having before it ended. She hated what she had done to this family that had adopted her. And all because she had Imprinted on Emmett and earned his love.

Sam, looks like I'm going to be needing you very, very soon, Sadie thought out to the other Alpha as she sat on her bed. Like very soon. I'll contact you again when I get things planned out, but know that it's going to happen fast. Very fast.

I'll be making preparations as well, Young Wolf, was Sam's reply before he left her alone to her chaotic thoughts.

Sadie glanced over at her window when she heard a soft knock on it, expecting to see Alice, Jasper, or even Emmett. What she didn't expect to see was Edward, when he normally would be with Bella at this hour. He stepped through the window and leaned against her wall, watching her with his golden eyes.

"You wanted a talk," he said softly. "So, we're going to talk now, Sadie."

"Maybe I've changed my mind," Sadie told him, crossing her arms over her chest.

"You haven't changed your mind about what you're thinking about with Sam," Edward commented, cocking his head to the side at her sour expression. "Did you really think I wouldn't hear your thoughts about this, Sadie? They are pretty loud when you're trying to communicate with the other pack leader." He frowned slightly. "You're thinking about leaving this place and going across the border to live with the wolves when you said you didn't want to join his pack."

"I don't want to join his pack," Sadie muttered, shaking her head. "I'm just thinking about leaving. Before more people get hurt." She pointed at the door. "You already heard what happened between those two because of me…"

Edward didn't even glance at the door, he just kept looking at her. "And what do you think is going to happen if you actually leave here? Emmett is going to freak out and do something really stupid. That's what's going to happen. People are going to be affected really bad if you decide to go across that border, Sadie, and you've got to realize that." He pushed himself away from the wall. "Why can't you just admit that you're in love with him and push aside that fear that something bad is going to happen? Because nothing is."

"Something could happen, Edward, and that something is not good." Sadie looked away from the vampire. "I can't bring that kind of death upon you and your family. I just can't do it."

"What if you're afraid over nothing?" Edward asked, moving to stand in front of her. "There haven't been any attacks in Forks for a very long time. Way before you came here…Why can't you just stay and let things happen between you and Emmett?"

"Why can't you just stay out of my life?"

"Because you're going to affect the whole family, Sadie. This stupid decision that you're considering is going to mean something to this whole family." His eyes seemed to grow harder as he stared her down. "Everyone here loves you with the exception of Rosalie. Even I have some feelings for you."

"Gee, thanks for that." Sadie frowned up at him. "Are you going to rat me out, Edward?"

"I'm not. I'm just trying to talk you out of this."

"I didn't say that I was going through with it."

"Well, you sound like you are." He poked her on the forehead. "It sounded like you were already making plans with Sam to get out of here soon. Very soon."

Sadie smacked his hand away from her face. "You need to go back to Bella and stay out of my head. I don't know what I'm going to do. I just know that I am bothered by what is going on here. And I'm a bit scared. That's it." She sighed. "Can you just leave me alone? Please? I need to think."

"You're going to continue thinking about leaving, aren't you?" Edward asked, watching her eyes. "Sadie, just think about the consequences before you jump to that rash decision. For the sake of the family that loves you so much." He gestured at the door. "Think about what it will do to Emmett. He loves you like he's never loved anyone before. Losing you before he's even had you will kill him." Edward lowered his hand. "I want you to think about things like that before you tell Sam to make a place for you in his pack."

Sadie nodded. "I will, Edward. Now get out."

Edward turned and walked over to the door, pulling it open and leaving the room. Sadie watched him leave and kicked her feet against the foot of her bed, thinking. Her eyes turned back towards the door when someone knocked on it. Emmett poked his head into the room and smiled slightly at her. Sadie smelled food and saw him bearing a tray of tacos and a drink that was clearly meant for her.

"You hungry?" he asked, stepping into the room.

"A bit," Sadie admitted, watching him cross over to her. "I heard what happened. You two were loud."

"Sorry," Emmett said, sitting down next to her and handing her the plate before setting the drink down. "But it's done. Rosalie and I are through. Me and you can finally be together, Sadie."

Sadie sighed and looked down at her food. "Emmett…"

"You don't sound happy about this, Wolf Girl."

"I didn't say that I wasn't happy. I just don't know how to feel about this." Sadie picked at her food. "You two were together for so long and now, you're not. Because I showed up and ruined a lot of things. Rosalie is going to hate me forever and probably start something."

"Hey," Emmett growled gently, cupping her face with his hand and turning it towards him. "Rosalie isn't going to touch you. She isn't going to do anything to you, Sadie. You are safe with me because I am going to be right here for you. Forever and a day." He smoothed his thumb over her bottom lip. "That's a promise."

Sadie's eyes fluttered shut as he pressed his lips to hers in a tender kiss that he slowly took a deeper and deeper. She could tell that he wanted to do more now that he was free of Rosalie, but her stomach grumbled and interrupted him. He parted from her and smirked at her.

"I've got to eat," Sadie said, gesturing at the food on her lap. "And then I have to get to bed."

Emmett's eyes turned towards her pillows. "You want me to join you tonight?" he asked when he looked back at her. "I've got nowhere else to sleep now that Rosalie kicked me out of the room."

Sadie shrugged her shoulders. "I guess you can sleep in here. Well, I'll sleep. You do whatever it is vampires do when they go to bed." She plucked up a taco. "I just don't want you to expect me to do much with you…"

Emmett wiggled his eyebrows at her as she took a bite of her taco. "We could make out again…Get really frisky."

Another bite of taco was taken before Sadie could look at him. "Seriously?"

"Yeah. I'm perfectly serious."

"Maybe."

Emmett rested his cheek against her shoulder and pouted. "Sadie, c'mon. Please?"

"Emmett…"

"Please, please, please…"

"You're going to annoy me if I don't give into your pleading, aren't you?" Sadie asked, staring at her taco because it was easier to do than looking at his puppy-dog eyes.

"Hell yeah." He put his hand on her thigh and rubbed his fingers over her skin. "I want to make out with you. Kiss you, touch you, taste you, grind on you…"

A shiver ran down Sadie's spine at his words and she sighed. "Fine. We can make out a bit, but I really need to get some sleep, Emmett." She gestured at her food. "Now can I eat? I'm hungry and if I don't get to eat this while it's hot, I'm going to punch you in the stomach. And be very cranky." She glared at him. "And then we're not making out."

Emmett laughed and lifted his face away from her shoulder. "Whatever you say, Wolf Girl."

OOOOOOOOO

Emmett was topless and happy as he laid next to Sadie on her bed a few hours later. She was curled up in his arms, her lips slightly swollen, her clothes rumpled, and her hair had been messed up, but she was still beautiful to him. She'd put up a fight when he'd started making out with her after putting away her empty plate and cup, but he'd coaxed her into a heated make out session that had her moaning and rolling her hips against him. It'd been all he could do not to claim her right then and there, but he'd promised that he'd only make out with her that night. Now, she was sleeping next to him and he was watching her as she laid in his arms, her chest rising and falling against his.

I really am in love with this girl, Emmett thought, running his fingers over her arm. I don't know why I didn't stop my relationship with Rosalie sooner. I should have as soon as I realized that I had feelings for Sadie. I was so stupid for not doing it. But I'm going to prove to her that she can love me without fear and that I'm going to be right here for her whenever she needs me. I'm going to love her and annoy her and protect her.

Emmett pressed his lips to Sadie's forehead and rested his face against her hair, breathing in slowly. "I love you, little Wolf Girl…"

OOOOOOOOO

A/N: Well, I brought back Edward and that was weird for me since I have issues with him. And more interactions with Emmett and Sadie are always nice, right? I am always hoping for more reviews with thoughts from you lovely guys, so please let me hear what you think. I hope to get back to this sooner rather than later, but I have so many projects going on and life is getting in the way…We'll see what happens. Thank you and I love you all. -Scarlet
