A/N: Hello. I've only got a short update for you. I tried my best to get it longer, but my brain doesn't compute right now. So, please forgive me and enjoy.

OOOOOOOOOOOO

Emmett laid curled on Sadie's bed, breathing in harshly. He was hungry. Oh so very hungry. He'd forgotten the last time that he'd eaten. Before Sadie had left, that was a fact. But how long had she been gone?

It seemed like forever. He longed for her to curl up in his arms on the bed and mutter for him not to get excited. She would only be doing it because it shut him up. She'd say that anyway. But he knew better.

She loves me. She'll come home. She'll see reason and ask for Carlisle to pick her up at the border. She's not going to die over there.

Emmett heard the door to Sadie's room open and he let out a little growl when he recognized the scent of Rosalie. "Get. Out."

"Poor little Emmett," Rosalie crooned in a sickly sweet voice. "You look so miserable in that bed. And so hungry."

"Go away, Rosalie," Emmett ordered, lifting his head, but not looking at her. "I don't want to deal with your bull shit anymore."

"Oh, but I'm here to help. I can take you up to the mountains like old times and help you find something tasty to eat. A bear? A mountain lion? Who knows? I just want to help Emmett, baby."

Emmett recoiled from her when she tried to touch him. "I don't want your help. I want Sadie."

"She's gone. Deal with it. Take care of yourself for once and learn to live with the fact that she's never coming back except in a body bag."

"GET OUT!" Emmett roared, sitting up on the bed and flashing his fangs and red eyes.

Rosalie smiled and walked backwards. "This is what happens when you decide to fuck around with a mutt, Emmett dear. You end up fucked over and on the verge of destroying everything that the world has handed you. Remember that she did this to you, not the other way around."

Emmett growled again and pointed towards the door. Rosalie laughed and disappeared like she hadn't even been there, but Emmett could smell her. She had invaded Sadie's room yet again and left her scent there. Like she was trying to make a claim to it.

I'm not going to let her. She doesn't get to be in Sadie's room. She doesn't get to be with me again. I am free of her. I just want Sadie. That's all I want. And…blood…I'm so hungry…but I need to be here in case Sadie comes home. She needs to come home. Please come home you stubborn Wolf Girl.

Emmett curled back onto the bed and hugged Sadie's pillow to his chest, breathing in slowly. He just wanted to hold her again. To let her know that she was safe with him.

OOOOOOOOOOO

Sadie looked all around her at the familiar faces of the mixed pack-coven and wanted to cry. It was impossible for all of them to be there unless this really was a dream. She reached out and took hold of Felix's hand when he offered it to her and let him pull her to her feet. Tears filled her eyes and she launched herself at him, hugging him around the middle and breathed in his familiar scent.

"Felix, I've missed you so much," she whispered, feeling him start petting her hair.

"I know, kiddo. I know." Felix sighed. "I didn't want to leave you alone, just remember that. But things happened. I'm just glad you're safe and alive."

"Well, mostly she is," Amanda commented, crossing her arms. "The dummy is killing herself slowly because she won't go back to her mate." She made quotation marks in the air. "Because she's afraid that whoever killed us is going to come and get her and her new family."

"Oh, well, that's stupid."

Sadie pulled back quickly and looked up at him. "But – but it could happen. Or something else could come and attack the Cullen's because of me being with them. I can't do that to them. You have to understand!"

"That you're a coward?" Amanda asked.

"No –"

"That you're scared for no reason?" Felix questioned.

"No – I mean – "

"Oh, let the chicken be," one of the others said, laughing.

"If she wants to die of a broken heart, then I say let her go for it," another said. "Sounds like she's already part way there."

"Have you no worries about your mate?" Amanda asked, looking at Sadie. "Don't you wonder if he's suffering? If he's about to break down and die? Or worse, do something that could make the others of his coven kill him? Because that could totally happen. And it would be your fault. Because of your stubborn pigheaded nature."

"Amanda, I…" Sadie closed her mouth and looked down.

Emmett's not eating. He's not going out and hunting for what he needs to survive. And that alone is bad enough. But it's been a few weeks. He must be starving unless the others have convinced him to eat something. Which I doubt that they have. Because that asshole is just as stubborn as me and even more so. I don't want him to do anything stupid, but how can I even begin to go back when my sister's killers are still out there and may come for me?

Felix tapped her on the shoulder. "You're quiet."

"Just thinking, Felix."

Amanda pushed at her. "Well, stop thinking and start doing. We are dead, yes. But the wolves that came at us have no beef with you. They could care less about you. You're so far away from them that you're not worth their time to think about. So let that drop out of your dumbass head. And go be with Emmett. He needs you. They all need you to be there for him." She sneered. "Don't make me fight you to get you to go back. You remember I play dirty."

"When have you not?" Sadie asked, rolling her shoulder from a memory of her sister popping it out of socket.

Amanda grinned. "So we're in agreement. You're going back. And you're not going to run away again unless you and that big guy elope. Which so help me God, you better not. Understand?"

Sadie frowned. "Who said I was going back?"

"Sadie, for the love of –!" Amanda shook her head and moved forward in a blur of movement.

Sadie growled as she was caught in her sister's headlock and found herself unable to get out. She twisted and stomped her feet, trying to get at her sister, but Amanda ignored her. Sadie calmed down after a moment and looked out at her pack.

"Let me go," she ordered.

"Only if you make the promise to go back," Amanda stated, squeezing. "Your heart is dying. His mind is dying. Go back to Emmett and move on, Sis. Stop living in fear and move on with your life. Be happy. Have tons of sex. Get married. Go on adventures. Just…be alive."

Sadie opened her eyes and lifted her head from the pillows. She heard footsteps and watched as Sam's wife came into the room.

"I need Sam's and your help," Sadie whispered.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Esme heard a vehicle approaching the house and moved to the window to look out. Her eyes widened in surprise and she almost started crying as she realized who was in the truck.

"Carlisle!" she whisper shouted.

Her husband was at her side in an instant. "What's the matter?"

"Look!" Esme pointed with a smile as three dark haired people came out of the truck in front of the house. "She's come home."

OOOOOOOOOOOOO

A/N: And leaving it there. Let me know what you think please. And thanks!- Scarlet
