A/N: So, I'm not exactly back. At least, not completely. I've got several dozen projects to work on and I don't seem to be paying attention to half of them if I'm being generous with myself. This story, admittedly, and others have been placed on the backburner and I'm sorry. Here's a little update that I could get into my head and time at this current stage. Enjoy!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Sadie sighed as she walked down the aisles of the store, trying not to think about the number of boxes of condoms that were in Emmett's cart as he walked with her. I knew I shouldn't have told him how my sister got to have real sex with Felix. I shouldn't have told him…now someone is going to think we're crazy or something because of all those condoms.
"I like this," Emmett said, plucking at a robe in the women's clothing section of the store. "You'd look good in it."
The wolf lifted an eyebrow at the black fuzzy thing. "You…think I'd look good in a fuzzy thing? Not something like…" She reached onto another rack and pulled off a black satin robe that she knew would only come to her mid-thigh. "This thing?"
Emmett's eyes danced as he reached out and caressed her cheek. "You'd look good in anything, Sadie."
Sadie stared at him for a moment, confused. "What about getting both? I mean, if that's okay?"
"Of course, it's okay." Emmett threw both robes into the cart and moved along between the many racks of clothes. "Why do I get the feeling that you're not into shopping?"
"I like shopping…" Sadie mumbled, wrapping her arms around herself.
"Sadie…"
"Just not for clothing and shiny things." Sadie glanced away from him. "I like coloring books and journals, books and pens, and I'm into video games, but…" She shook her head. "It's all ridiculous things."
Emmett's eyes were soft when she looked back at him. "You really think your favorite things are ridiculous?"
"Well, they are, aren't they? I mean, I'm not into perfumes or makeup or designer clothes…"
"So?"
"So, isn't that what being a girl is supposed to mean?"
Emmett shook his head. "That's not what all girls are about. I'm just so used to living with the royal bitch of must have everything shiny and flashy that I almost forgot that there were girls who liked the simple things of life." He reached out and took her by the hand, guiding the cart with his other hand. "Come with me."
Sadie remained silent as he guided her to the self checkouts and then out of the store with their purchases in hand. He shoved them into the back of his car and then led her through the streets again. Sadie glanced around them in confusion as he led her into a store that she had never been in.
"Emmett…there are so many journals and books and…" Her eyes widened as she looked up at him. "What is this place?"
Emmett smiled at her. "Your playground." He nudged her forward. "Go on, go crazy. No limit on the budget today, Wolf Girl."
Sadie stared at him in wonder before looking around them like a kid in the candy store. Where do I even begin?
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Emmett kissed Sadie slowly as he moved his hips in a slow, deep pace into her body. She moaned softly against his lips as she fell off another high. Her legs wrapped around his waist and she pulled him closer, her heels digging into his ass.
I'm so close…Emmett thought, feeling a moment of uncertainty hit him as he felt that familiar tightening in his body. Should I really try this or…should I pull out?
Sadie's hand smoothed against the back of his neck and her breath mingled with his. "You're having second thoughts?"
"I don't want to hurt you," Emmett whispered, staring at her with half hooded eyes. "I'd never forgive myself if something happened to you…"
Sadie gave him a soft smile. "I'm not scared…"
"Really?"
"Not of this…" Sadie brushed her lips against his. "I'm not scared of being with you…"
Emmett kissed her harder and moved his hips against hers harder, faster. Sadie moaned lowly as he took her to the edge and they both fell off of it together. Emmett groaned as he came hard inside of her and Sadie cried out softly.
Emmett's hips slowed down and he pulled out quickly, backing away from her. "You okay?" he asked, concerned and staring at her with his brow furrowed in worry.
Sadie laid there on her bed, panting and nodded. "So far, so good." She pushed herself onto her elbows and looked at him. "I think three condoms is really enough, Emmett."
Emmett glanced down and saw the layers of condoms on himself. The venom in him was already starting to eat through the first layer and he sighed in relief, rolling the condoms off of himself. "I just hope it keeps on being that way…"
Sadie muttered something in agreement and rolled onto her side. Emmett laid down next to her, his arms wrapped around her waist. Sadie curled into his body and slid her fingers between his. Emmett was still surprised about how small she felt in his arms.
"You sure you're okay?" Emmett asked, kissing her neck softly.
"Yeah, I'm okay." Sadie said and he noticed that she was staring at all the bags on her desk that were spilling out onto the floor.
"You've never been spoiled in your life, have you?"
"When you live with so many people, it's hard to have a lot of money left over after feeding them and sheltering them." Sadie shrugged a shoulder. "I got spoiled by the others because I was the kid of the pack, but they could only afford to do so much with small things." She blinked. "This…this is something that I've never experienced."
"You can get used to it," Emmett promised, squeezing her around the middle. "We're never going to let you go without. And I'm going to spoil you for the rest of time."
Sadie turned her head and looked at him with one eye. "I love you…"
Emmett kissed her, feeling that hunger stir up in him again. "I love you too."
OOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Sadie ran a towel through her hair as she stepped out of the shower and almost walked straight into Rosalie. She let out a little groan at the dark look on the blonde's face.
"You're going to get your face stuck like that one day," Sadie warned, walking around her. "And believe me, no one is going to find that attractive."
"Will Emmett find you desirable at all once he has to deal with the people I've called?" Rosalie asked, staring straight ahead.
Sadie turned to look at her. "What? Who did you call, Rosalie?"
Even though the blonde wasn't looking at her, Sadie could tell there was a smirk on the vampire's face. "You know…vampires and mutts should never mix…I wonder what's going to happen once they get a look at you." Her topaz eyes turned towards Sadie finally. "I know one of them in particular is going to have a fun time breaking you with just her mind."
Sadie's blood ran cold as she watched the blond walk away, a sway in her dainty hips. Why does that sound like a very, very bad thing?
OOOOOOOOOOOOO
A/N: And that was a quick update, I know, but yay the plot thickens. Thanks to all the loyal readers. I love you from the very bottom of my heart. -Scarlet
