I was digging through files on my PC and ended up finding a draft of this story. This was supposed to be my first fanfic, but then I gave up. So I come to bring this idea to you. I got this idea when I saw Paleblood, fanfiction by Danmachi+Bloodborne.
The first chapter will be similar to the story of Paleblood. I used it to insert Issei into the Huntsman's Dream. But there will be some changes in the end.
I will add the crossover category later if I continue the story. The category does not have many stories.
Chapter 1 - Prologue - The Hunter's Dream
It was not supposed to be like this!
All he wanted was a beautiful girlfriend.
And then, his dream had come true.
A girl declared to him. Her name was Yuuma Amano. He remembers being very happy. He even bragged about her to his friends. They were very jealous of her, so they made a date on Sunday. He did a lot of things, searched the internet for things girls liked.
He even did his best to do his best not to stare at her chest while they were on the date. After hours of planning their date, he was finally done with a big smile on his face. And then the days passed like the wind, and then the day of the meeting finally arrived.
But he really didn't expect to be pierced with a fucking spear of light!
At the end of the meeting she asked if he could die for her. He was confused, but then she reveals a fully revealing outfit. But the strangest thing of all was the fact that it had black wings sticking out of its back.
An angel?
Not...
Black wings.
Fallen Angel...
He had read the bible a few times in the past. His parents went to church a lot. He even liked going there. He even had a friend who also went to church with him. He initially thought she was a boy. But after accidentally calling her one, he was met with a big blow to the head. She then explained to him that it was a girl. Well you can't blame him. She really did look like a boy. Anyway, we are getting out of context here. Returning to the main topic...
The first 'girlfriend' he had, pierced him with a spear that appeared to be made of light.
How ironic, isn't it? Was this his punishment for being a fucking pervert? Was that his divine punishment for all the peeks he gave the girls?
Though he thinks they're pretty hypocritical too. I mean, the hole was even there after two months. Why didn't the bastards take that shit off? Unless they liked to be spied on. If that's the case, why did they beat him and his friends?
He really is going crazy. Thinking about all this when he's about to be killed.
"Don't blame me, honey. Blame God for giving you that Sacred Gear." The woman with Black Wings spoke.
Yuuma Amano, his 'girlfriend.' Or rather, Raynare, which was her real name.
All he could manage was just look at her for a moment as his vision darkened.
Accepting his death, he just closed his eyes.
But it seems fate had other plans for him.
Oh. You found yourself. . . young hunter?
...
...
Issei didn't know what was going on. Within a minute he was on the ground covered in blood from having been pierced by his 'girlfriend's' spear of light. He just accepted his dead without much difficulty. Although he was a little sad about it. However, when he woke up...
"Ah . . . You must be the new hunter . . ."
Issei didn't know if he was stumbling or if he was really dead. He remembered. . . Pain. Something deep pierced his chest completely. But he couldn't remember what it was. There was a thick fog clouding her memory. His feet carried him to this garden until the mist cleared and he began to understand what was around him.
The garden led to a sloping staircase. The little ones - he decided to call them that because he no longer knew how to describe them - lured him to the house at the top of the hill. Was . . . A workshop. Books lined the shelves with most of them scattered in great piles all over the floor. Desks and tables climbed the stairs with various tools scattered on them. Cabinets held vials, cups and other packages he didn't know what they were. And at the other end was an altar.
Sitting in the center of everything was an old man in a wheelchair. This old man looked at Issei with appraising eyes making a big impression on him.
"Where am I?" Issei asked what he wanted to ask for a while. He didn't know if he was afraid of this place or not. He didn't know where he was or how he got here. None of this felt real. It looked so. . . Chaotic. And yet...so peaceful at the same time.
The old man just smiled, his fingers adjusting to the tip of his cane. "Welcome to " The Huntsman's Dream ". This will be your home... At least for now."
Issei looks around once more. Yes. A dream, he could feel it. This is all a dream. None of this is real. That explained why he was so calm, even though there was every reason for him to panic. Since when do dreams make sense? When was he in control of this? And in dreams he was always at peace. Or at least that's what he thought. The nightmare he was about to go through was just beginning.
"I am Gehrman," the old man introduced himself. He shifted in his chair with a look of doubt. He looked...unsure of how to proceed. Shy? Scared? "Hmm, friend to you Hunters. You'll definitely be in a fine mist about all this, but don't think too much about it. Just go out there and kill some animals. It's for your own good, you know, it's just what Hunters do. ."
Issei could only nod at that. It didn't make sense. And yet at the same time it made perfect sense. This was actually very strange, and interesting at the same time.
Wait a minute. Why is he calm at the idea of going to kill animals? Was it because it was all just a dream? Issei was getting very confused by what was going on around him. He just looked at the old man with some weird look, which he just said.
"You'll get used to it" Gehrman shrugged. He looked around as he continued to speak. "This was once a safe haven for Hunters. A workshop where Hunters used blood to improve their weapons." Wait, blood to upgrade your weapons? Unaware of the young Hunter's monologue, the old man continues. "Meat. We don't have as many tools as we used to; but, you're welcome to use what you find . . ."
He leaned forward and pointed a finger at Issei, urging him to come closer. Issei did it
The old man whispered. "Go to the doll. If it pleases you." The old man then handed a small dagger to the new hunter.
Issei although he was totally confused about everything that was going on just nodded. With the dagger he placed between his clothes, he left the workshop to begin the hunt .
He really was very curious as to why he was taking it so easy and calm. He couldn't figure out the reason that caused it, but he assumed it was because it was a dream .
This city is cursed. Whatever your reasons. . . you must plan a quick exit. Whatever there is to gain from this place will only do more harm than good. . .
...
...
"Hello, good hunter." She said
The doll. Issei was fascinated by her. She was so beautiful. It hurt to discover that something so beautiful was a lifeless doll. He really thought it was a waste of such beauty. But when he returned to the dream after his confrontation with a beast unlike any he had ever seen on the bridge... it was before him. Talking.
"I am the doll here in this Dream to take care of you," she continued to speak in a sweet voice. But without any emotion. She couldn't have any emotions. That was a concept that couldn't exist inside her. Still... He couldn't help but get nervous and announce his gaze when someone so pretty was addressing him.
He was very fascinated looking at her. After realizing that she had introduced herself, he quickly panicked internally and coughed. He then started to introduce himself.
"H-Hello. I'm Hyoudou Issei. It's nice to meet you." Seriously, damn gods. Why make her a doll!? Are you making fun of my face!?
The doll stared at him for a long time. Her head tilted as if the slight change in angle in her vision of him brought a new set of illumination to understand him. Apparently so.
... Because after staring at him for a long time, she started to clap her hands. He was initially startled a little by this taking him by surprise, but calmed down quickly.
"honorable Hunter, chase the echoes of blood . . ." she continued, "And I will channel them into you, to increase your strength. You will hunt the beasts. And I will be here to encourage your sick spirit."
Beasts. The things he hunts. He had been in this place for a while. Initially, he was very scared when he saw the 'animals' he would have to kill. He really cursed that old man for not having said everything sooner. But just like I started, he shivered when faced with those things. But he got used to it quickly. It was as if this place was forcing him to be calm as he faced those beasts.
She lifted her hand with her big eyes fixed on his. He complied and placed his hand in hers. There was... heat in his touch.
Oh, how he wished his hands were holding something else. He quickly gave a perverted inward chuckle before shaking his head and turning his attention back to her. Really, why did she have to be a doll? He thought one last time before crying internally.
"Farewell, Good Hunter," the doll released his hand. He wished she could have held out a little longer. But he was also ashamed that his hand was so sweaty. Even if she didn't care or feel it. "May you find your worth in the Awakened World ."
Beasts all over the store. . . You will be one of them sooner or later. It is impossible to escape your fate.
...
...
"Oh, hello, good hunter." Eileen greeted him as he approached.
She had been a wonderful help to him during his time in the dream. And a nice change of pace for this nightmare of blood and monsters. She was one of the first people outside the church ward resident he talked to. He had panicked before, running in circles as if the beasts were chasing him. And Eileen lunged to save him. Although...she scolded him very harshly afterwards and gave him what she called the hunter's marks so he could run away if he got into a similar situation like that.
But. He didn't use them. He chose to keep fighting to get away. For him to run away was not an option.
Something in his head made him want to fight. It was as if he couldn't accept running away anymore. He somehow felt if he ever ran away, he would fail. Now what this 'failure' meant, he didn't know. It was totally new to him.
She shook her head at once...but offered good advice that had saved his life a few times.
"Perfect timing" she continued "I must warn you not to go near the tomb under Oedon Chapel, below the Cathedral Wing. Henryk and old Hunter have gone mad. And he is my target ."
She didn't hunt beasts like Issei. She was once a part of the Dream, just as he was now. Eileen was a hunter of hunter. She attacked those who gave themselves over to the blood frenzy and brought them down before they could become anything worse than the animals that tormented Yarnham.
He knew better than to interfere with her work. He was still young and inexperienced. He had a lot to learn and Eileen survived the Huntsman's Dream another night long ago. He would probably get in her way if he followed her.
But . . . she saved your life once before. And the feeling in her strangers told him he wouldn't have a chance to reciprocate if she walked in there alone.
Against her better judgment and against her cold words, he followed her to the cemetery where he had toppled Father Gascoigne.
He was right all along to have followed her.
Hunter dressed in gold dominated her. While Eileen was quick and accurate with her twin daggers, Henryk was stronger and more cunning. He kept her under control and managed to deliver his own series of crippling blows against her. She was bleeding from a nasty cut on her leg making it difficult for her to move. Henryk was faster than she was now.
He intervened. Henryk was crazy and so focused on Eileen that he couldn't see Issei coming. A straight kick to the waist was more than enough for the golden Hunter to stagger quickly.
Eileen was quick to take advantage of this and took the final blow to Hunter.
"...That wasn't necessary of you...but you have my thanks," she said as she panted from the fierce fight in which she participated. Henryk's body still hadn't cooled off. "We made it with our lives. You must have killed Gascoigne then?" He nods his head. "He was falling apart - I'm sure it had to be done. But try to keep your hands clean. A Hunter must hunt wild beasts. Leave the hunting of Hunters to me."
Little did she and he know that he would follow the same fate as hers.
She chuckled as she holstered her weapons and graced her hand on her arm.
There is nothing more terrible than the Hunt. In case you haven't noticed... the things you hunt are not beasts. They are people. One day you will see this.
...
...
This no longer felt like a dream. It sure didn't look like it. This was a nightmare. Hunters like him plague the streets of this accursed world. They hunted the beasts when the beasts wanted nothing to do with them. A bunch of them ran past Issei, completely ignoring him. It was a Hunted that chased them.
He found himself fighting Hunters who had gone mad. He was saving the beasts.
The deeper he traveled... the more he wanted to wake up from the Nightmare. He often returned to Dream and talked to Doll and Gehrman. The doll said very little. And Gehrman laughed or didn't offer a word to him.
Issei was forced to travel this land alone.
The deeper he went... the worse things got
He had heard stories about the Church of Healing. He had heard that they were the ones who introduced the blood ministry. The blood Issei always used when he was injured. He literally cured everything but poisons.
He didn't think to question the origins of his miraculous elixir until he met the Church's First Hunter, Ludwig.
...or the monster that was once Ludwig.
"Good Huntsman,' and all that was left of Ludwig after the fight was his head. "Did you see the thread of life? Just a hair. a fleeting thing! Even so, I clung to him, dove as I was in the stench of blood and beasts. I never wanted to know what it really was. Seriously, I did not know. I just..."
Issei had nothing to say. He was very tired and the battle had drained his spirit. He thought what he was doing was for a noble cause. He thought the Church had been a saving grace of all that was good. He had heard legends of Ludwig, the sacred blade. Finding a hero he admired by becoming a beast had completely brought down Issei.
He heard Ludwig's ramblings. And that's all they really were. Digressions.
Ludwig wasn't talking to Issei. He was never...
Proof that he never was came immediately afterwards. Ludwig's words turned into incoherent ramblings as he fell asleep in his speech. Finally, they stopped being words that only Ludwig could understand and became maddened screams and howling laughter nonstop.
Issei couldn't bring him out of his misery. His dagger was raised, ready to plunge deep into the brain of what had once been his hero. But he couldn't hear any of that.
Why was he here? What was he fighting for? What was the purpose of the Hunt? Questions like that came and went for him on the many different occasions he was struggling within this Nightmare.
A corpse must be left alone. Oh, I know damn well how secrets beckon so sweetly. Only an honest death will heal him now - free him from his wild young hunter curiosity.
...
...
He thought he had seen it all. He thought he could no longer be surprised. He thought he had begun to understand this Dream/Nightmare .
...until a giant multi-limbed thing with a caged skull grabbed it and devoured it.
He found himself in a place of chaotic familiarity compared to the Huntsman's Dream. It was an architectural building similar to the Hunter's Workshop, the Bergynwerth... and the research center that a woman he would come to be very dear to him protected. Lady Maria, the first woman he fell in love with. But this was not a place for beasts or supernatural creatures. This was a place of learning.
The students wandering around with scrolls tucked under their... Arm(?) ignored him as they went about their own business. They weren't humor or beasts. They were some sort of slime construct, wearing black caps and matching uniforms. Some looked at him curiously. Some even spit goo on him. But if he kept his distance, they left him alone.
Much like the Hunter's Workshop, the building was filled with books and scrolls. Unfortunately, most of them were faded. This was another dream. Whoever was dreaming had forgotten the knowledge that remained in the books or had never read them.
But Issei found some things worth noting. Like the words engraved on the side of an office desk.
We must kill the Ancients.
"Oh. Are you a beast hunter?"
Issei turned, only to scream in terror and raise his dagger in great alarm.
What he saw was a spider as big as his torso. But instead of a head with several eyes, it had a pair of eyes belonging to the head of a bald man. He was a pale man with a spider's body. It seems the dream likes to play with him, every time he thinks he's seen it all, something happens.
' What the fuck!? ' He thought.
This place really didn't stop surprising him when it came to finding the most bizarre things ever created. Why did he have to go through all of this? A while ago he was nothing more than a mere high school student. And now here he is.
Fighting the beasts in this damn place
He crawled along the wall, around Issei, and onto the table he was examining. "Gloria, you don't know what value you have. But..." He shrugged his human shoulders. "It's too bad, really too bad."
Issei could only keep the dagger pointed with his back pressed against a bookcase. He swallowed hard. He was wrong once again to believe that nothing could surprise him after that...thing that led to the Nightmare.
He chuckled as he watched him squirm. "Now wait a moment. Do you think badly of me? Me?!"
What was this madman's problem!? It wasn't enough to be a bizarre creature anymore, you had to be crazy too!?
"NNN-No!" Issei shook his head several times with everything he had.
He really hoped not to fight this thing. He was getting tired already.
"HMPH," he smiled, unconvinced, but willing to oblige him. "I don't think so! I shared with you something very secret. Now, you have witnessed a miracle. And even stronger because of it. You should be grateful if you have a grain of gratitude for it. Hmm, hmm, yes, hmm, hmm, enjoy this . . ."
Hm, help?
He laughed some more at some joke the hell only he could understand.
"Doesn't matter," he stopped abruptly, though the sick smile still lingered on his face. "These details are insignificant. We are fast friends now. Let this express what words cannot say." "Don't doubt me, good sir, what is friendship but a chance meeting?"
He laughed some more.
"I am willing to do you a kindness. Step slightly to the right of the Cathedral... and look for an ancient church shrouded in shrouds. The gift of divinity will give you strength. Yes... I am unquestionably right..."
He laughed some more.
Issei just nodded, promising he would.
But he had already come across the thing lingering around the church. That's how he got here in the first place.
He just wanted to get rid of this disgusting, weird thing ASAP!
Now I'm waking up! I will forget everything!
...
...
His blood froze at the sight of her in such a state.
"Oh . . . is it you again?" Eileen looked at him. His body was leaning against the stone steps that led to the Great Cathedral. Her hand was pressed against her side as fresh blood flowed. He could see the flow coming down the steps.
"I think I made a little blunder," she shook her head with a wry laugh. "I'm just going to get some rest. Although... don't worry. I've had blood. Enough to save an old woman... No more dreams for me... This is my last chance."
She was panting. His voice grew weaker, losing the growl of determination he so praised for her. Never before had he seen her so weakened. Eileen always grew stronger after every Hunter she faced. He was delighted with her work.
She may have drawn blood to heal...but even he knew she wouldn't recover after that.
"What an idiot I am. I'll have to walk carefully. But this thing is still waiting." She said.
He looked at the bloody trail that led to the cathedral. Was it another hunter's blood or was it Eileen's? Either way, whatever she was tracking was still inside.
"Come back," she put some fire into her words. She knew what he was about to do. "This is my score to settle. My prey is lurking this way. Come back."
He didn't listen. He knelt down and patted her knee, giving it a firm squeeze. And then he took his trick weapon, the Blade of Mercy , to finish what she started.
He owed Eileen more than his own life. He would have been lost in blood and madness in the Hunt like so many of the Hunters if not for her.
He was just a fucking pervert at his school. Someone worthless, someone who, if he ended up dying, only a small number of people would care. He started thinking about his two perverted friends and his parents.
Yes...
Your parents.
They did a lot for him. And how did he reciprocate? Being a fucking pervert. How is he going to give the grandchildren his parents wanted? He really started to regret everything he had done in his life so far. All he did was spy on the girls at school. He could have done more.
A lot more.
Then...
If he had another chance...
Just one more chance...
He would be a child his parents would be proud of. He's enough of being that perverted loser. Of course he wouldn't stop being entirely, not least because he's a man. It's hard to control his impulses. But he would leave those things for when the time was right. When it came time to be serious, he would be.
He came back to her drenched in blood from his wounds...but more from his enemy's wounds. It had been another hunter. A Vileblood or someone who has followed their practices. He was beyond salvation and used his own blood as a weapon. Issei used the vials of blood he could carry from the Huntsman's Dream, as well as his antidotes.
He had no one else to save Eileen. But... she herself was already beyond salvation. It hurt a lot for him to see her in such a state not having the ability to manage to save her. The person who helped him the most when he was in this place. He couldn't save her...
"Don't you ever listen to the older ones?" she spat at him...but a touch of heat was felt under the icy tone of her words. "Never mind... You saved my life. I don't seem fit for this life anymore. My glory days are gone... a long time ago."
He knelt beside her. Their hands met. He gave it a firm squeeze, knowing this would be the last time they could meet like this. He brought his trick weapon around to return to his right master.
But Eileen held up her other hand. She held up her weapons and pressed against her chest.
"I don't need them anymore, it's for you," she said in a low voice. "That too is the Hunter's job. But it has no honor. The burden you may choose to carry... the decision is yours alone."
Issei looked at the weapons and then at Eileen, she saw his eyes filled with determination with tears threatening to fall. She then knew her answer and was happy and sad at the same time.
Her body shuddered. She moaned. "GAH...my eyes are heavy...I wish you luck out of this Good Hunter nightmare. Let me get some rest. I'll be fine. Just...Wait..."
He waited. he waited beside her, holding her hand the entire time. He heard her breathing. How it became erratic, soon after it became light... and eventually... stopped.
When her body gave way, he let the tears he'd been holding back fall at once. He swore. In front of her body, he swore he would end this nightmare. But he needed to follow his legacy and end Hunters who had fallen into the temptation of blood. Now with her weapons, now his, the Blades of Mercy , he would follow his legacy, and end this nightmare using them.
We are born of the Blood. Men mad for blood. Broken by blood. Our eyes still haven't opened. Fear the Old Blood.
...
...
"Why is the house on fire?!" Issei yelled.
The Hunter's workshop was on fire. The wood crackled and splintered in the heat. All his hard work recovering lost artifacts, goblets for the dungeons and the Shop's lost instruments was dissolving and nothing but ash and smoke.
Your inventory has been stored in the chest inside the workshop!
"Ah, good hunter, you came," and yet the doll remained unfazed by the fact that its house was collapsing in flames. Then again...
Getting a reaction out of her was just hell impossible. She only reacted like a real human girl when he presented her with the hair ornament...
And when he killed Lady Maria... The woman he fell in love with. He ended up falling in love with a woman who tried to kill him. For some reason, Issei got the feeling this wasn't the first time this had happened.
But he doesn't have time to think about it right now! shaking her head several times to get rid of the thought before starting to cry over that day she would never forget.
"The water!" Issei yelled and ran around the complex looking for a well or any other water source. "Help me delete it!"
The doll simply tilted her head, unable to understand her panic. 'YOUR HOUSE IS CATCHING FIRE WOMAN!' Oh wait, she is a doll. "Dawn will soon break. It is night and this Dream will soon be over. Gehrman waits for you at the foot of the great tree."
Hope the dream will soon end? Will this nightmare finally end? Did he hear you right? Issei had several doubts in his head but this was not the time to think about it.
She pointed to the garden that had been closed off for him. An iron fence had closed him off and Gehrman forbade him to try to enter.
If it had been anything but a dream, Issei would have ignored his words and tried to put out the fire. But all rationality was lost when a dream was involved. He found himself on the move. As he was heading to the spot the first hunter had been waiting for, some memories from a long time ago invaded his mind.
...
Issei was getting ready to leave, having handed over the Ring he found in a tomb and given it to Queen Annalize after saving her. He was getting ready when said Queen takes his arm forcing him to look back to meet her eyes.
"You're leaving already huh?" Queen Annalize asked with a touch...sad and disappointed?"
"Yes. My hunt isn't over yet. But I promise to come back to see you again, Annalize. Though that might take a while." Issei replied with a thumbs-up with a small laugh.
Annalize still didn't believe in the person who had saved her from that thing... someone who was so... perverted? The same person who fought relentlessly without any hesitation against that 'thing' to save her. He's probably already faced hell, so how can he act that way? How can he be so sane? It's something Queen Annalize will never have an answer for.
And when he returned she would not let him go. But for now she would leave him so he could work things out.
Issei, however, had given the Ring to her because he thought it would be a cool thing to do. I mean, he had just saved a Queen! Just like in the hero tales he's already read. Besides, gems like that ring are totally useless where it's at. So why not give it to her?
"I see...Don't forget your promise, why don't I go, after all I'm not the kind of person who forgets promises, Paleblood." Annalise spoke in an authoritative and seductive tone.
Issei blushed a little at this, but quickly recovered and said.
"Understood. See you sometime Annalize-chan!" He said as he left. Leaving her to her thoughts.
'Annalise-chan, huh?' she thought with a giggle.
...
Still walking, another memory hit his mind. The memory of that woman he fell in love with. The same woman who tried to kill him. Lady Mary...
...
Issei was sitting up, tears falling from his eyes. On his legs was resting a woman's head. She had slightly blond white hair and blue eyes. However, his eyes were already closed. This was a result of his fight against her. In the end, he won.
But... he lost too.
He remembered the last words she had said to him.
"You know...that was an amazing fight. Who would have thought this would happen..." she commented with a weak laugh. Issei was confused, while he had a sad face.
"What? What would you miss?" He commented in a weak, sad voice. He wanted to save her, but he couldn't.
"No," she denied causing him to lift his eyes slightly. So she said.
"Who would have thought I would fall in love with my enemy." She said making Issei's eyes widen.
When he looked at her again, his eyes were already closed.
...
Still walking towards his encounter with the First Hunter, Issei shakes his head several times. Why the hell would he remember that now? Maybe it's because he promised Annalize that he would visit her later, but still hasn't been able to? What about Marie? She had declared herself to him, but...she died...no. She was always dead. Again shaking his head to get out of his thoughts and concentrate in front of him.
"Good Hunter...you did well," greeted the First Hunter with a proud smile. "The night is drawing to a close. Now I will show you mercy. You will die, forget the dream and wake up in the morning sun. You will be freed from this terrible Hunter's Dream."
The dream will end. Issei will finally wake up. It was what he wanted. What would he wake up to... he couldn't remember. The dream world and the waking world were two different things. He was unable to determine what was out there, just as he wouldn't be able to remember that dream when he woke up.
To remember nothing about the dream... Would he forget Maria? The first woman he loved? would he forget about Annalize? he has not yet been able to fulfill his promise and visit her.
His hands tightened around the Blades of Mercy . He was never the first hunter to experience this dream... nor would he be the last. He promised ' her ' that he would end this so that no hunter would have to go through the same. And he will do it.
"No," he shook his head. "I'm fed up with this already. I'm not going to let anyone else go through what I went through. What was the point of this HUNT SHIT AFTER ALL!?"
Gehrman looked at him sadly. The old man sighed...
And stood up.
"Dear, oh dear," the ancient hunter shook his head as he took out his trick weapon that hadn't been there before. It simply appeared.
This was never the Dream of Issei. This has always been Gehrman's nightmare. And he's going to end it once and for all.
"What was it? The hunt? The blood? Or the Horrific Dream?" Gehrman walked forward, holding his weapon, a curved blade that could turn into a scythe and vice versa. He intended to kill Issei and end this dream by any means.
Issei drew the Blades of Mercy from Eileen. Your legacy. He would no longer be known as Hyoudou Issei the pervert. He wanted to be something bigger. He wouldn't let anyone else go through what he and Eileen went through. Then...
Tonight... He would become the last hunter of hunters... He will end the hunt and fulfill the promise he made to 'her'. This will prevent other Hunters from entering Dream. Although he is not able to keep his promise to Annalize. He mentally apologized for the last part.
"Doesn't matter," Gehrman adjusted the hilt of his weapon. "It always depends on Hunter helping to clean up after this... kind of mess. Tonight..." They both looked into each other's eyes.
"Hyoudou Issei joins the Hunt!"
"Gehrman joins the Hunt!"
Both exclaimed.
He moved faster than any beast or Hunter Issei had ever crossed before.
But Issei didn't flinch. He stepped forward, a war cry escaping his lips, determined to fulfill his promise to ' her '. When he caught the old man. The Blades of Mercy danced against the Buried Blade of Gehrman.
Farewell, Good Hunter. May you find your worth in the Awakened World.
...
...
...
...
"Master, wake up, please. Master-"
A hand broke the alarm clock.
Issei woke up suddenly.
What happened? Was the date he had yesterday just a dream!? Is obvious. It was all too good to be true. Wait... date...
Spear...
Blood...
A hunter must hunt.
'What the hell?'
Was he hearing things? Oh wait.
Why is he cold? He quickly looked down and realized he was naked.
"What the fuck?" He questioned himself.
Why the fuck was he naked? He then felt a breath on the other side of the bed.
He froze.
Robotically turning his head, he found a hot woman with red hair beside him. It was Rias Gremory, one of the Oneesama from her school. It's her...
She was naked!
But he quickly found something strange...
Why, even though he's screaming in his mind, is he outwardly calm? The girl beside him yawned and started to wake up. She quickly turned to him with a smile, but suddenly made a slightly surprised face.
The reason? The boy wasn't looking at her like he wanted to eat her right there. This surprised her, after all, he was the leader of the school's perverted trio.
In Issei's mind, as much as he wanted to take the opportunity to visualize such an amazing body, he was confused. Everything in her mind was screaming that there was something else in the air. He didn't know what it was, but his instincts were making him on his guard. Since when did he feel this?
"Eh..." The girl started talking getting his attention.
She was actually nervous for some reason. She couldn't tell, but the person in front of her, this boy, looked different than before. His aura screamed 'strong' over and over in her head. But there was no way that could be true, right? I mean, he had died for that fallen Angel. So why the hell is he issuing this!?
The boy however was confused. He had only one thought in his mind.
What the fuck was going on?
The hunters will return...
Here it is. What did you think of this chapter?
I just want to warn you that Issei won't remember the Huntsman's Dream right away. The reason is because I don't want to make it OP at the beginning of the story. But it won't be long before he remembers. And even if he doesn't remember, his body will remember some things. He won't have the Blades of Mercy with him...YET.
You guys must be confused about the fact that he didn't wake up some time before he got pierced by Raynare, right? There is a reason for this which will be explained later if the story continues. So if you don't like him being part of Rias' nobility, I'm sorry. But it is of 'EXTREME' importance that he be part of it.
I also want to make something clear here, Issei won't be the only one who went through the Huntsman's Dream. There will be other people in the story. Some very close to him. And no, they are not part of the Supernatural. So...maybe one of your 'Perverted Trio' friends will show up? Hehehe.
Well, that was the draft I had found in a lost file here. Whether I continue or not is up to you. Give me your opinion in the comments. The more there is, the better I'll know you guys really liked the story. So, even if it is not common for you to comment, I would like you to comment at least in this first chapter, so that I can have an idea.
And of course, as it's DXD, it will have a Harem. For now, I'll leave that in your minds. But I think you might already have an idea of some right, we'll see in the next chapter, in case you want me to continue.
