Cynthia and Julian settled into Port Angeles in a little over a week in a cozy apartment. Cynthia needed to decide on how long their stint here would be since their current lives would be tied to Bella and her sister. She still had her funds from decades of investments, ghost writing, and jobs she's had but she needed something to occupy her time. Julian needed his eyes to be gold before he could be out walking among humans on cloudy days but has taken to hunting animals to remedy that. They got a nice apartment for the two of them and it had a spare room in case Bella or Alice needed a place to go. Julian respected Cynthia and got a place with separate rooms for them both but he'd hope that she would come around soon. Cynthia wouldn't admit it, but she was happy Julian was with her.

Cynthia was looking on a laptop to narrow down her options between online college courses or applying with a job since she had an active therapist license. Still, she knew that she needed to have her life open in case she needed to help her sister or Bella in the current moment. Both of them were lost souls she thought as she looked and felt Julian's strong arms wrapped around her neck. Of all things, she nuzzled a bit into his neck.

"What is it you want Julian? I'm trying to figure my life out. Heaven forbid I go to high school."

Julian chuckled.

"I want to feed again. The sooner my eyes are gold, the sooner you can stop babysitting me and not leave the house just to hunt."

Cynthia shut off her laptop and examined Julian's eyes. His eyes were in the transition phases as they glistened a rich orange color. Cynthia smiled softly but asked,

"You've been hunting a lot though Jules. You need to make sure there are animals left for me and Alice to hunt."

"I know but I feel one more good hunt with a mountain lion and I will be set, not only in hunger but maybe even my eyes as well." Julian chuckled.

Against her judgement, she decides to take Julian on another hunt. They took his truck into the Olympia mountain range and hunted quietly. Julian had gotten used to stalking animals and was starting to find their scents a draw to him. Cynthia had a feeling something would happen in these woods but didn't know what yet. Julian smirked as he showed a mountain lion stalking. She was proud and gave a light nod.

"I'm not hungry Julian, he's all yours."

Julian prowled close to the lion and quickly subdued him. He pinned the lion down and bit hard into his neck, causing the lion to roar in pain. Julian drank the blood of the mountain lion and soon all life faded from the lion. Julian felt his body shudder in pleasure as the blood dripped down his throat. Julian got up from the lion and looked back at Cynthia with a blood drenched face. She chuckled as she approached him and placed a hand on her face. His eyes looked more golden, which would make things better for their existence in Washington.

"You're still a messy eater aren't we Julian?"

He grinned and asked,

"You can have a little snack if you like Cyn?"

She chuckled and the blood did smell very good as she sampled the blood on his face. Cynthia finished at Julian's lips and soon began kissing him. Julian was caught a bit of guard but he took it in stride as he wrapped his arms around her waist. Cynthia wrapped her arms around his neck and ran her fingers in his hair. This was wrong Cynthia thought, but yet why did it feel so right like it did back then. She deepened the kiss and she felt Julian squeeze her ass. Of all things, she moaned.

"Julian." she moaned and rubbed up against him.

"Cynthia." he groaned in pleasure.

They were interrupted by a twig snapped and they pulled away since they weren't alone. Julian recognized the scent and sure enough, a dainty vampire with a pixie cut and gold eyes found them both. The vampire was stunned as she placed her hand on her mouth and Cynthia's eyes widened.

"Alice." Cynthia called.

"C-Cynthia? Is that you?"

Cynthia nodded and laughed softly.

"No fair sis! I spent my years looking for you and you found me so quickly. I guess your visions were always leagues ahead of my own. Why didn't I see you coming?"

Alice ran to her and gave her a hug. If they could cry, they would have been tears flooding out of their eyes. Both sisters hadn't seen each other in decades and they were reunited once more. They took in each other's embraces and Cynthia just took in how Alice looked. She was very petite, her pixie cut was cute yet elegant, and her facial features were so soft. Cynthia could feel Alice's bubbly nature and saw a small vision of her sister and Bella in a lover's embrace.

"Oh my god you're alive! Why didn't you stay when you were at the ballet studio!? We would have seen you were on our side sis."

Cynthia frowned and held her dainty sister tighter.

"I didn't want to impact things since there was something I saw I wanted so much to come true. Me meeting you and some of your coven could have ruined things. But seeing you here there might be hopes of making you and Bella whole." Cynthia whispered softly.

Alice seemed a bit confused and asked,

"What did you see Cynthia and why is it that I haven't seen it yet?"

Cynthia sighed.

"You can only see things once a person decides, but you and Bella haven't decided to find yours. There's a pull between you, a pull and connection so deep that it is rare for any pair to have. It's something that shouldn't be ignored."

"Like you and me Cyn?" Julian teased.

Cynthia growled playfully at Julian and this caused Alice to giggle. She looked to the tall strapping male vampire with the goldish eyes and asked,

"Are you the vampire that helped Bella? The one who fought James and is my sister's mate?"

Julian grinned and nodded.

"Julian Flynt and yes, I got revenge on the asshole that was stalking you both. It's finally nice to see the baby sister of my mate."

Cynthia rolled her eyes. He must have told him this already yet he still hasn't gotten the facts in his skull.

"She was technically older in our human years Julian and she's been a vampire longer than I have. She might have been turned at a younger age but she's my older sister. Plus cut the crap with the mate shit. I'm not your mate!"

Julian chuckled and shook his head.

"I was turned at 25 so either way she's like a baby sister. Also, I wish you'd stop fighting your instincts, Cynthia. You are drawn to me like I am to you. You can even ask Alice if she sees us as mates."

Cynthia sighed and looked at her sister.

"Ignore him, he's been a part of my life ever since I was turned. Same creator, taught me the vampire ropes, and helped me to get information about you. If anything, we're just close friends."

Alice didn't buy it and shook her head.

"I don't know how many close friends make out in the woods and grind against each other. You shouldn't feel ashamed that you mated, it's quite nice you have someone to make you happy."

Cynthia shook her head and crossed her arms, stomping her foot like a child. It almost brought them back to when they were children and Alice teasing Cynthia when a boy picked on her.

"We were forced together, how is that mating Ali."

Alice saw visions of her sister accepting Julian as her mate and them living together in pure passion and bliss. They seem like such a match and Alice wondered why her sister was fighting something as wonderful as a mate. Alice wasn't even sure if Jasper was her mate and they've been together for many years. Their attraction and affections clearly weren't on the level that Cynthia and Julian were despite what Cynthia told her.

"We cannot deny the connections were made with people or vampires. I stand by what I say, you shouldn't be ashamed that you have someone who cares about your life as much as their own. Besides, I have seen you two having a wedding someday so you must accept that you're mates in time."

Julian was beaming and he couldn't stop smiling at what he had heard Alice said.

"You're not kidding Alice?! Yes! We are mates, told you Cyn."

Cynthia didn't want to go into this with Julian now even though deep down the idea wasn't entirely miserable. Since plans were ahead of schedule, she would take the chance to speak with her sister about Bella and catch up.

"I will meet you home later Julian since I want time with my sister alone before she sleeps over at Bella's."

Alice wasn't shocked that Cynthia knew where she was headed. Julian frowned but he knew that this was a reunion decades in the making.

"I'll see you home in Port Angeles Cyn. Hope we can talk more and get to know each other a lot better Alice. Cynthia has spent her life looking for you like the good sister she is. Maybe guide her on what she should do next."

Alice smiled and went over to Julian to give him a hug. She looked up to see his eyes were not completely gold like her sister's and she cracked a small smile.

"You'll get used to the diet Julian. It may be strange at first, but it will get you by much longer in a place."

"I know Alice since I want to remain here for as long as your sister needs to be. I'm getting up there in vampire years and I do want to settle down for some stretches of time with your sister. I might not worry as much knowing if I have to find her again, she will be close to you." Julian told her.

Julian went his way to his truck and while the sisters went to a clearing to chat.

"So, you're hunting before the sleepover, smart. Bella's blood is something else from other humans so good you're taking precautions." Cynthia told her.

Alice chuckled and raised an eyebrow.

"Are you sure you're my little sister since it sounds like you're trying to be older." Alice teased.

Cynthia chuckled and nodded.

"Yes well, we're both pretty much adults now, adults and vampires even though you're living life as a high school again. Doesn't it wear on you to go through?"

Alice shook her head.

"We can stay in a place longer if we start younger. Though the point is moot at times since Carlisle, my coven's patriarch, is very young looking. I think he's trying to pass for 30 now since the cover is he and his wife Esme 'adopted' myself and the four others. What about you? How have you spent your lives?" Alice asked.

Cynthia smiled a bit.

"Went to colleges to get degrees and worked as a therapist for most of them. I was turned at 21 so I have a little less time in places. I've fallen back on being a therapist because my main talents are ones with connections, helping people break away from people who harmed them, and giving the confidence they need to push forward."

Alice seemed a bit stunned since she was aware of the visions, but not those powers. Something occurred to her and asked,

"Were you turned on a blue moon sis?"

Cynthia nodded.

"Sometimes visions hurt more than they should since that's my secondary. It's odd since I had them in my human life too, strange. It's too bad the only time we can really have picnics now is with hunts but it would be nice hunting with you since I often only do it alone until recently."

The sisters took in the sounds of nature while Cynthia told them stories of their human lives to Alice. Its broke Cynthia a bit to hear Alice didn't remember the shopping, the tea parties, or even the birthdays they had; but it was understandable. She had long known Alice had undergone many shock treatments so her human life was all but gone. Cynthia was grateful she was able to stay in her memory because of a photo she slipped to Alice, one she still had to this day.

"So, tell me about this Bella girl? She must be some human if I get glimpses of her and you together." Cynthia asked.

Alice beamed and nodded.

"She's amazing. She's a bit sheltered and shy, but she comes out with me. Before the whole James thing I was planning to have a sleep over anyway, but now I can have them lots more until she's healed from injuries. Charlie would be uncomfortable bathing her and I know Edward won't and shouldn't do it, so I figured I would make them evenings out of it."

"Edward being the boyfriend, right?"

Alice sighed and shook her head.

"Something doesn't sit right with me with him sis. At first it appeared Bella was so happy with him and that there was a light in her... now I only see it when we're alone together. Edward wants her to be weak, vulnerable, and submissive and it makes things worse that he doesn't plan to turn her. It's frustrating since Bella and I are so close yet he is deciding for her on everything."

"Right, sounds like he's a grade A possessive vampire who found something he doesn't want to share. It's okay to worry Alice since you care for Bella so much. I care for her too even though my time was brief. She makes you very happy."

Alice smiled and nodded.

"Very much so. She's just so amazing and I know there's more she wants to do and be. I can sense she has a wild side wanting to come out but Edward is just going to smother her. As long as I'm here, I don't want that for my best friend."

She sounded more like a lover, a mate Cynthia thought rather than just a best friend but she nodded.

"If anything happens to her while you're away; I will protect her and that's a promise."

"Thanks sis, but I don't see things happening yet. When they do, I will take you up on that offer since I don't want Bella to regress and be emotionally destroyed because of Edward the possessive asshole." Alice mentioned.

Cynthia hugged her sister tightly and Alice hugged back. She smiled and stroked Alice's back comfortably.

"You need to tend to Bella. We can catch up in the coming times sis. Just don't the hands wander too low."

Alice saw her sister smirking and rolled her eyes.

"It's all innocent. James was an animal and broke a lot of Bella's bones. She needs my help!" Alice protested

"I'm kidding Alice. I know you love and respect Bella. Make the moments you have with her special, even if they are small."

Alice nodded and made her way back to the car since it was a little on the late side. She had everything she needed for a 'sleep over' even though Alice didn't need to sleep. The thought of her sister having a mate did make Alice think about Jasper and why their connection seemed to be getting weaker despite how great they got alone. Alice wouldn't dwell on this for long as she made her way to Bella's house. She parked her car next to Bella's red truck and rang the bell to be greeted by Charlie. He smiled at Alice and gave her a slight hug.

"Hey Alice. Thank you so much for coming by and helping Bella. I don't Bella would have handled it if I had to be the one to help her shower." he said with a slight sheepish grin.

"It's no problem Charlie. Bella and I are going to enjoy our sleep over tonight."

Charlie let Alice inside and let Bella know she was here. Alice went up the stairs and saw Bella in her bed. They both exchanged warm smiled as Alice embraced her carefully. Bella hugged back and she almost seemed to nuzzle at Alice's neck.

"Someone is affectionate tonight, I had to be sure not to have this in my mind or Edward will never shut up." Alice mentioned.

"Yeah, no let's not bring him up tonight, it is a girl's night right. Maybe we should get the shower over with since it will be uncomfortable for us both."

"Couldn't be more uncomfortable unless your dad did it right?" Alice teased.

Bella turned red but nodded.

"Yeah, I would die every night from embarrassment but I trust you to take care of me Alice."

Alice helped Bella to the bathroom and helped Bella to carefully get out of her clothes. Her natural scent did make Alice shudder a bit in delight but she hid her pleasure from Bella. The water was put to a nice warm temperature and she helped Bella into the shower. Bella did a lot of the soap lathering herself and really only needed Alice to help with her hair, legs, and back since it was hard to move her body in those places. Alice gently lathered Bella with the soap and to Bella it was very blissful. She was tempted to moan at the lathers but she didn't want things to get weird between them. Bella still couldn't help that Alice helping her was both sweet and it made her feel a lot warmer.

Once the shower was done, Alice picked out some nice green pajama bottoms and a mint tank top for Bella to wear. Alice wore little more than a pink and black tank top herself and black shorts that reached above her knee. They started off by painting each other's nails; violet for Alice and blue for Bella. As they were painting their nails, Alice mentioned meeting her sister to Bella, which surprised her.

"She's living in Forks?" Bella asked.

"Port Angeles but that's still very close. She's helping her mate yet not her mate get used to animal blood."

"Not mate?" Bella questioned.

Alice giggled.

"Yea she denies him yet I caught her licking blood off his face, making out with him, and grinding up against his body. If I hadn't come, I think they might have fucked in the woods." Alice chuckled.

Bella chuckled as well.

"Wow good on her, but why would she be stubborn about love. It sounds like having a mate truly is amazing. Having someone who loves you unconditionally and so passionately, it sounds like a dream made into reality." Bella mentioned.

"Yes, when you have a mate; your world just feels more complete. Your thoughts are in tune, you are attentive to their needs to make them happy, and whenever you're with them... you're the best version of yourself. Makes me wonder if Jasper and I are like that since I thought we were, but the pieces aren't all there." Alice admitted.

This surprised Bella since in the cafeteria, Jasper was very affectionate and caring...when he wasn't in pain about being in a school full of humans. The vampire diet was new to him and Alice needed to be there to comfort him.

"Yea...sometimes I wonder if I'm trapped by Edward. I love him, but it feels like he wants me to have him be my whole world yet not letting me live in it either. Do you think he loves me?"

Alice forced a smile but deep down, she thought Edward was using her for something. She couldn't prove it yet but something about their confrontation in the hospital spoke to Alice.

"I hope so since he is risking a lot with you. I do know that you're my best friend Bella and with all my heart, I never want to break yours."

They moved on to watching movies in the living room while Bella munched on some junk food. Alice cuddled close to Bella as the move resumed and she could feel Bella's heart racing. Alice smiled as the movie ended and helped Bella upstairs. They talked for what seemed like hours until Bella was getting sleepy. Alice smiled and helped Bella under the covers.

"You're not going to leave, are you?" Bella asked.

"You want me to stay?"

"You promised to, right?"

Alice smiled since she remembered and she nodded.

"Of course, Bella. I will stay for as long as you need me."

I will always need you Bella thought with a smile. Alice tucked her friend in and gave her a small kiss on the cheek.

"We will make time for each at the prom, right?" Bella asked.

"Of course, Jasper would love it if we had some alone time. Edward...well he can fuck off since we want this. He will have you for dances but he can share you for some moments."

Bella chuckled.

"Yes, he can fuck off for some time since I want a dance with you."

Bella realized what she had said and blushed. Alice smirked playfully and then giggled.

"Clumsy Bella wants to dance with me? I didn't even hear you say you'd love to dance with Edward. That's quite an honor."

Bella playfully rolled her eyes and added,

"I know you'll want to have fun while Edward will be romantic yet toy with me. He knows what I want and he will never give it to me. Least with you, there's hope you will give me what I want."

"Of course, since we will always be best friends Bella, forever and that's a promise." Alice spoke softly.

Bella went to sleep and Alice watched Bella. She had often called her and her family angels, yet Bella seemed that way to her. Alice smiled as she read one of Bella's books as Bella slept in peace. Alice wondered what Bella was dreaming to make her so peaceful until she heard Bella moaning. Edward Alice thought until she heard Bella moan out,

"Alice."

Alice seemed surprised and softly chuckled until Bella moaned her name more and more, causing Alice to feel something else inside her. She felt an almost protective, warm, and empowering feeling for Bella and gently stroked Bella's cheek but not to wake her.

"Alice...never leave me." Bella spoke in her sleep.

Alice never wanted to break Bella's heart and she didn't know what this intense feeling she had. What Alice did know is that being away from Bella was something she never wanted to experience. Bella meant the world to her and she will always be there by her friend's side.
