A/N: A new chapter with my life has started. I'm ready to pursue the new life. The new options that opened up before me. No one is going to stop me now.
OOOOOOOOOOOO
Jessi led the way towards the band portion of the boardwalk, hearing her brother's familiar words on the air. Her hand tightened on Paul's for a second as she saw the crowd around her brother's stage and her eyes spotted random people that stuck out.
"It's okay," Paul whispered to her, pulling her closer. "We did promise that we were going to keep an eye on him." He tucked back a strand of her blonde hair. "You did look after me, Beautiful. We want to keep true to our word."
Jessi offered him a small smile and looked back at her brother. She made her way through the crowd and to the front of it, looking up at her brother with a proud smile on her face. Jack noticed her and came over to the edge of the stage, still singing and knelt in front of her, a large smile on his face.
As the song faded and the crowd cheered, he held his hand up. "Who wants to hear the voice of an angel sing?"
The crowd roared and Jack looked back at her. Jessi paled as she realized what he was talking about, what he was planning.
"No way, Jack. No." She tried to take a step back but she bumped into Paul's very sturdy body. "Please…I can't…"
Paul gripped her by the hips and lifted her onto the stage with ease. Jack said a soft thank you to him before turning to look at his sister, who kept her back to the crowd.
"It's time to shine, Jessi," he told her.
Jessi's eyes saw the rest of the band looking at her. They were the ones that kept her trapped in a life that she didn't want. They tried to intimidate her. They tried to keep her down. They did it to both of them.
No more, you fuckers, she thought, hoping that for just a moment that they were reading her thoughts.
Jessi turned and looked at her brother. "Give me the mic. Play Love Eternal. I'll take it from there, Jack."
Jack passed her the headset and pack and then started playing the chords that she'd written. The rest of the band was clueless about what to do, standing there, looking dumb. Jessi could give less fucks about them.
She took a slow breath and opened her mouth, a voice that she hadn't thought she could use came pouring out with words that flowed and moved the crowd to cheers for her…
OOOOOOOOOOOO
Paul stared up at Jessi in awe as her voice sang out to the crowd, a song that he'd never heard but wanted to hear again and again on her tongue only. His heart soared with each word that she sang and she looked like she was having a good time up there with her brother. Like she didn't care about the fucking vampires behind her that were just staring at her like she had sprouted two heads and ruined everything.
We'll remove them from the equation, right guys? Paul asked, sending his thoughts out to his brothers.
You know better than that. There are rules because of the turf disputes. We can't just take out a bunch of vampires because we have a brother that wants to have the female that they're messing with.
Fuck you, Dwayne. Stop being so smart! I want to keep my promise to her.
Do you think we're not going to let you, dumbass? You're going to keep the promise that Faith stupidly made. We're just going to have to do it in a way that doesn't get us all killed. Because I swear on your fucking head, if anything happens to the girls, you're going to be waking up to a warm sunrise.
Paul rolled his eyes and looked back at Jessi, tuning his brothers out. As her current song ended, the crowd cheered for more songs from the brother-sister duo, must to the obvious discomfort of the reset of the band. Jessi looked at her brother and much to Paul's delight, she didn't hesitate to give the crowd what they wanted.
That's my beautiful girl!
OOOOOOOOOOOOO
Jessi laughed as Jack pressed a kiss to her temple and guided her offstage at the end of the session that they were allowed. Lester and the others were already off, their instruments out of reach and they glared at the brother and sister like they were worms.
"What the hell was that about?" Lester demanded. "You fucking ruined our performance, little girl!"
Jessi gave him a haughty look. "I think I saved your performance, Lester. You were putting the crowd to sleep with your boring ass riffs." She leaned her head against her brother's shoulder. "Plus, it's Jack's band. Not yours. You don't get to say what happens during a performance. He does."
Lester glared at her, his eyes taking on a gold tint. "You think just because you stayed out of the house for a night, getting fucked by some poser, that you're all big and bad now? Is that it?"
Jessi stuck her chin up defiantly. "At least, I got some. And by the way, Lester, he's one hundred times the vampire and man you'll ever be." She smirked. "I don't hear any of the girls you bring home screaming when you fuck them like I did with him."
Lester growled and pulled his hand back as if to slap her. Paul was there in a heartbeat with the rest of his family behind him, looking calm, but deadly. Paul hooked his arm around Jessi's shoulders and pulled her close, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
"Hello Beautiful," he said with a large smile. "What are you up to?"
"Oh, you know. Causing trouble as usual," Jessi said, turning her face up to him. She pressed a lingering kiss to his lips knowing that it just pissed off Lester.
Her lips were supposed to be his.
Her body was supposed to be his first.
Too bad, Jessi thought, smirking at him as she parted from Paul.
"Paul, guys, this is my brother, Jack, and this is the rest of his band. You know, the dumbasses that I've told you about."
"Good. Dumbasses," Paul said, putting his fingertips into Jessi's pocket. "You should know that you're no longer roommates with my girl and her brother. We're moving them on out to a much better house than that dump you live in. Understood?"
Lester shook his head. "They aren't going anywhere. They owe us too much."
Faith moved forward like a silent angel with fiery hair. She threw open a bag that she'd been carrying and tossed it at their feet. Inside was rolls and rolls of money. More money than Jessi had ever seen in one place.
"This should be enough to cover everything three times over," Faith said, her voice strong, almost ethereally so. "You have no life debts over them. You have no claims on their blood. So…in other words…fuck you and goodbye."
Phil and Erik moved forward to collect the cash like the greedy bastards that they were. Lester remained unmoved. His eyes followed Faith back into David's arms and then returned to Jessi.
"This isn't over, Jessi," he swore. "You will be seeing me again…and when you do, you will be screaming my name."
Jessi rolled her eyes and turned away, dismissing him without saying a word.
OOOOOOOOOOOO
Paul and the others helped Jack and Jessi move into a small place that they'd managed to find for them. Paul and Jessi disappeared into her new bedroom to break in the bed, her cries smothered by her hand as he took her over edge after edge, showing her what tongues, fingers, and the main attraction could do.
"Fuck," Jessi moaned lowly as Paul took her from behind. "Paul…I…I'm…"
Paul shifted his hips and felt her come over the edge, her body reacting to his like it was made for him. He pressed a kiss to her shoulder blade and kept moving his hips into her, taking her like he never wanted to stop. Which he didn't. He wanted to be in her forever, against her. Making her come, making her scream his name and such naughty profanities.
"Paul!" someone called, pounding on the door. "We got to go!"
Paul rolled his eyes. "Give me ten minutes!"
"Paul!"
"Go on without me!"
"Paul! Out here! Now!"
Paul sighed, bowing his head. "I'm sorry, Beautiful."
Jessi whined. "You're really going to leave me hanging mid-climax?"
Paul shook his head. "No. I'm sorry for what I'm about to do to your body…"
Jessi cried out as he pounded into her harder than he had during the entire night. The bed shook against the wall and she curled her fingers into the bedspread, her back arching as she tried to keep up with all the sensations going through her.
"PAUL!" Jessi cried out as he sent her over a big edge.
Paul groaned lowly and came hard inside of her, his hips slamming into her body as her walls milked him of everything. He slowed down and pulled out, kissing her on the lips and was in his clothes in a whirl of movement.
"See ya later, Beautiful," he said, winking at her. "Don't move from that spot. I'll be back for you when the sun goes down."
Jessi sent him a lazy look and stuck her middle finger up in the air. Paul laughed and disappeared through the door, heading after his brothers and sisters.
God, did he love her.
OOOOOOOOOOOOO
