Jasper drove to Montana once Alice gave him the word that Bella was a vampire. He knew Bella needed training from him on how to fight since he had spent a lot of his vampire life as a fighter. Edward never returned home and that concerned him and the rest of the family. The sooner he and Julian get Bella into fighting shape, the sooner Edward can be dealt with. Even though it was sad to kill his brother of sorts; he and Alice had a feeling the Volturi would step in if Edward isn't dealt with soon.

Jasper didn't have to wait long when he got out of the car he borrowed from Carlisle to be greeted warmly by Julian. Jasper chuckled as the guys hugged one another.

"So glad you decided to speed down here Jasper." Julian spoke warmly.

Jasper hugged a bit tighter before pulling away. He could sense a loving warmth in Julian and has taken to his coven role quite nicely.

"But of course; I made a promise to Alice to help her mate in combat. After all, Edward can't read Bella's mind and that will give her the best chance of killing him. Speaking of Bella, is she out hunting?"

Julian nodded but chuckled soon after.

"Either that or they are getting frisky out there...or both. But that is a newborn in regards to being mates with someone.

Jasper just nodded since hearing Alice and Bella were intimate did make him a bit sad. He had been with Alice for so long and Alice seemed to be fully committed to Bella in every way in just a few short months; a few short months his Alice moved on. Julian could read Jasper's face like a book and he did frown slightly.

"I'm sorry Jas...I mean even though you understood and supported Alice and Bella...it still must hurt you in some ways."

Jasper sighed but nodded.

"I won't lie but yes it does. Unlike Edward though, it's what is meant to be. Still after I help Bella channel her anger towards Edward into a disciplined fighting style; I do want to speak to Alice about something."

Julian raised an eyebrow but didn't want to pry into Jasper's affairs. He knew Jasper would respect Alice and not force himself onto her out of pain.

"Fair enough. Bella has been picking up moves from me so she's not completely inept. She's a real fast learner, faster than Cynthia was and that surprised me since first thing she and I did was murder her father. He was a piece of shit by the way and his new wife was too."

Jasper nodded since some vampires, including himself, had a past with killing humans to varying degrees. He wouldn't judge him since his past made theirs tame in comparison. Soon the men were joined by Alice and Bella who had emerged from the woods near their property hand in hand. Alice smiled and she slowly brought Bella to him. Jasper examined Bella and the red eyes and pale skin were evidence of her recent change.

"I'm so glad you came." Alice said as she wrapped an arm around his neck in a slight hug.

Jasper smiled lightly and he focused on calming Bella since her newborn protective instincts were kicking in. The death glare Bella gave him was intense and he didn't want things to end badly because he was here. Bella felt her emotions were calming and looked sheepishly to Jasper.

"Sorry..."

"I know Bella...newborn vampires can be bloodthirsty, temperamental, feral, and very possessive in their first year. Anything you might feel towards me in regards to Alice is understandable." Jasper expressed calmly.

Bella still cracked a weak smile as Alice let got of Jasper. He approached Bella slowly and he offered his arms up for a hug. Jasper never hugged Bella when she was human because her body being close to him would have set him off. Now that they were both vampires, he can be kinder to Bella and be more warm towards her. Bella did take Jasper up on the hug and it was an amicable one. Alice saw the day going by with her visions and wasn't worried about Bella and Jasper fighting over her.

"I am glad you're here Jasper. Really; it's just...like you said I'm feeling and experiencing so much as a new vampire. You didn't have to come down here to help me but you did and I know it is because of Alice."

Jasper shook his head.

"I sadly have experience in training newborn vampires to fight. It wasn't a good past and it's one I wish never happened but I have the experience and it is one that can help you take down Edward." Jasper expressed.

Alice's smile faltered since she knew Jasper's past better than anyone. He lied about his age to join the Confederate Army, spent two years going up in the military ranks, and then he was captured after a battle that left him mortally wounded and was turned by a female vampire who wanted a soldier for conquests. It was wanting to escape that past and that brought them together.

"You're the only one Edward can't read Bella so you need to train a bit more. You won't be alone and we've seen in the past how Julian can help you. Despite Edward's mind reading, Julian is an excellent fighter too but we did all agree you're the one to kill him." Alice expressed.

Jasper nodded in agreement and he motioned Bella to get into a fighting stance. Once Bella was in position, Jasper examined her form. It was almost textbook but clearly a boxer's fighting stance. He looked at Julian and smirked lightly.

"Thought you were a gangster and not a boxer Jules." Jasper asked.

Julian laughed and mentioned,

"I was, but I still kept in shape back then with some bare knuckle boxing and that was a lot of how I fought without any guns of course. Come on, Bella has a strong form and I taught her that."

Jasper nodded and he returned his focus to Bella.

"You know how to kill a vampire right?"

"Tear them apart and burn the body. Alice and Cynthia taught me that." Bella answered.

"Good, very good. Your best way to get Edward is to have your arms end up around his neck and twist his head and skull off. Knowing you though, you want to drag out his pain don't you?"

Bella nodded and felt anger coursing in her. Her eyes widened as she looked at Jasper and nodded.

"I will be around as well when you fight Edward to get you in battle focus. Though you will be motivated enough; the battle focus will strengthen you more than you already are."

Bella nodded and Jasper got into his fighting stance. It was more cat-like, his body crouched down and he focused into Bella's eyes with sheer intensity.

"Remember what you will be fighting for. It's not just for yourself, not just for revenge, but for your mate and coven. You need to channel that all when you face Edward; don't leave yourself open for him to kill you, and you're going to be stronger and faster because you're new to this life. Now let's see what you can do." Jasper told her.

Bella nodded and lunged at him with her newfound speed. Jasper was able to avoid her punches and kicks while showing her techniques as they sparred.

"I can see Julian taught you some moves; very good. He wants you up close to Edward; but don't go for the obvious kill. He will expect you to go for his throat first so don't aim there first in your attacks." Jasper taught.

Bella laughed.

"If anything, I will be tearing off his dick and shove it down his throat so he could choke. Pretty much sums up how I felt and how low he made me feel. Still, I know he won't be easy on me and he will be very angry. I can use his blind hatred to my advantage as he will be consumed by it and not thinking clearly."

Jasper nodded and imagined the image in his head on what Bella would do. Gruesome and dark but Edward had put her in such a state. He was just glad Bella didn't want to kill him.

"But of course. Now let's see if your whole body is in tune with itself as you come at me again."

Bella and Jasper trained with each other for a couple of hours. Jasper was impressed with how Bella was able to learn punch and kick combos, how to stalk and lunge with efficiency, and how quick towards the end of their spars that she was able to get her arms around Jasper's neck. They could honestly go for more hours to train because of their stamina but Alice knew Jasper came here for another reason. Julian took Bella to train with him while Jasper and Alice could speak without worrying about Bella.

"You saw me didn't you?" Jasper asked.

Alice nodded and sighed, giving him a hug.

"I still feel so bad for you Jasper. We were together a long time and it just looks like I moved on so soon. It does kind of feel that way but I didn't think Bella and I would change so much together. I hate to say that I'm happier but..."

Jasper chuckled weakly and pulled away from the hug.

"It's fine; you can't help who your mate is and I'm happy Bella is better and with you. You make everyone better...I just wondered why I'm starting to get flashes of my time before being a vampire again. It made me start looking into my past life again and some moments are coming back to me and I don't know why."

Alice did notice Jasper was a bit distant and she did wonder why Jasper would be thinking about his human life again.

"What specifically are you thinking about?"

Jasper sighed and he pulled out a very faded photo from his jacket pocket. It was of a couple on a farm which seemed to be right around the Civil War period given the clothing and the uniform the man wore. On closer inspection; the young teen in the photo was Jasper himself. Alice looked to Jasper and he answered,

"I've been looking more into my past once you and Bella mated so I can figure out what I will do for my future. Based on what I feel when I look into this photo...I cared for her immensely...maybe slightly more than I did for you."

Alice looked at the woman in the photo and in some ways looked a bit like Bella but not completely. The woman looked to be a cross between her Bella and Emma Stone in terms of facial features, delicate hands, soft curls that were almost like a doll, and seemed to be as tall as Jasper. From the softness and pain in Jasper's eyes, he must have cared deeply about her in his past.

"Do you know her name?"

Jasper cracked a faint smile as he stroked his thumb over the photograph.

"Camilla Westridge...she had to be my sweetheart back when I was human. Why am I getting sentimental over a lover I had centuries ago."

Alice rested her head on Jasper's shoulder and said,

"Because you feel alone and want to find your mate. You do understand Camilla is dead right? Like there's no way she could be alive right now."

Jasper nodded and he put the photo in his jacket.

"I know...but if I can find the person that will make me happy like you and Camilla did; that is something I will like very much. It's making me want to try harder to be more acclimated to being around humans since...love isn't going to find me unless I put myself out there."

Alice smiled lightly since Jasper was truly a romantic deep down and he was going to try finding the one he's meant to be with.

"Very true...no matter who the lucky woman is...I'm sure she will make you happy. You deserve that more than anyone."

"I know and don't blame yourself Alice. You never know what can happen even if you have the power to see the future. It just so happens you were right about Bella being in your life; but your choices changed to shape this life now. I'm glad you and Bella are together; you make each other your best selves." Jasper expressed.

Alice smiled but soon panic came across her face as she was having a vision. She closed her eyes to see just what Edward was doing since it wasn't good at all. What stunned Alice was Edward's decisions focused on a human woman...a woman that looked a lot like Bella but in some ways...Alice opened her eyes and asked,

"Jasper, can I see that photo again?"

Jasper raised an eyebrow but did what Alice told her. Alice looked at the photo and her eyes only widened.

"This makes no sense." Alice murmured.

"What doesn't? What did you see Alice?" Jasper asked nervously.

Alice pointed to the woman in the picture and spoke,

"Edward's been stalking a woman in Chicago that looks almost exactly like her. He's been watching her because she looks like Bella...the blood is calling for her."

Jasper let a low growl and asked,

"What is Edward going to do with her?"

Alice closed her eyes and let the vision play out.

Edward saw the woman again; the woman he learned was named Valerie Crane and she was going to be his. Bella made her choice so another woman needed to fill her shoes and Valerie would be that woman. He couldn't stand this woman being alone and she would be a suitable replacement for Bella. She was weak, vulnerable, very little family left from his research and she was going to be his for the taking. He knew taking her wouldn't be easy, but he was going to try the gentleman way before using force. He wanted this woman, he needed her.

Carefully, he went up the stairs into the train station and softly smiled at the woman. She felt an eerie presence and looked to the man next to her. Something about him was very off despite the charming looks. She had pepper spray in her coat pocket and she would use it if he tried anything. Edward heard pepper spray in her thoughts and knew he needed to defuse her worries.

"Hello...would you like a ride home with me? It's not safe to be out so late at night alone." Edward spoke with a honeyed voice.

Valerie shook her head.

"I prefer the train ride, thank you. Don't linger here on my account." she told him dismissively.

Edward chuckled and reached for her hand. He kissed it and took in her scent, which aroused him greatly.

"Oh it would be a shame if anything happened to you. I want to make sure you will be okay. I insist you come with me." Edward pressed.

Valerie's spine shuddered as she stepped a bit away from him. She studied him and it was clear something about him wasn't right.

"I will be fine on my own. Thanks." Valerie spoke with assertiveness.

Cute Edward thought, but she would be coming with him whether she liked it or not.

"I think you misheard me Valerie...I want to make sure you'll be okay. I want to protect you and I know you're single. Now be a good girl and accept my offer. You're going to catch a cold waiting for your train."

Valerie never gave her name and her mind raced more. This guy must have been stalking her and clearly had ideas to rape her...or worse.

"Get away from me!" Valerie yelled and reached into her coat for the pepper spray.

Edward growled and quickly got behind her, twisting her hand for her to drop the pepper spray. He got a small cloth from his other pocket and covered the woman's mouth with it. She started to scream but soon she felt her body going limp.

"No, you will be with me until I have no more use for you. From now on 'Valerie' you will be my new Bella and I'm going to take care of you...while you take care of me." he chuckled evilly.

Alice opened her eyes and gasped at the horror she'd known would happen. She looked a bit into Edward's future and it made her sick.

"Edward's gone off the deep end. He's kidnapped someone to fuel his raging thirst for revenge and blood."

Jasper looked nervous and asked,

"Is it the woman the one that looks like Camilla; a woman that looks similar to Bella too?"

Alice nodded and was looking into Edward's future. He was going to go too far with her and kill her in his blood lusting ways. She told Jasper this and his eyes grew dark in anger.

"Get Bella and the others; we can't let Edward hurt this innocent woman anymore than he's planning to. I hope Bella's ready for a trip since we're going to need to find him and kill him." Jasper stated coldly.

Alice wondered if Jasper was like this because the woman Edward abducted looked a lot like his old human sweetheart. Alice knew they needed to take care of Edward since Carlisle wasn't going to do anything so the responsibility fell on her coven; more so Bella. Edward's days were numbered but Alice and Jasper hoped they wouldn't be too late to save the innocent Valerie Crane.
