It took Alice and the others to track Edward's motions since he was truly being careful in his decisions. This made it somewhat hard for Alice to have visions that would lock a location on where Edward is. Jasper and Bella were counting on her and Bella could see the pressure was getting to Alice. Jasper focused on driving towards Chicago; which was the last place Alice saw Edward in his visions two days prior. Bella knew Edward and he would have taken the woman out of her home state; but where was the question. Alice closed her eyes and hung her head back against the car seat and groaned in frustration.

"Come on Edward, slip up already. You must be deciding to do something." Alice sighed.

Bella took Alice's hand and kissed it softly.

"Alice, take a break. You're going to exhaust yourself. If Edward does something, you will see it." Bella comforted.

Jasper growled in a low tone and Bella heard it; causing her teeth to grind.

"I know this woman looks like someone you cared for; but it's clearly not her. You know Alice and you don't want her to go crazy over this. You did love her at one point." Bella firmly expressed.

"Oh I know Bella; I know more than you about Alice. You don't understand or you might but...there's this odd feeling in me with this woman...I don't know why but we better get to Edward before he gets impatient and drinks her blood directly! I can't lose her!" Jasper snapped.

Alice opened her eyes and could hear Bella hissing. She stopped Bella by stroking her hand and then looked at Jasper. The way Jasper got emotional over her clicked within Alice and she had a small vision.

Flashes of Jasper and Valerie appeared in her mind and both had a very warm, almost alluring look in their eyes. Their bodies were close and for once, Jasper wasn't so scared about being near a human. He almost seemed...comfortable with Valerie and they were kissing each other's lips tenderly.

"Jasper...are you thinking Valerie is the one you're looking for...your real mate?" Alice questioned.

Jasper glanced back at Alice and then to the wheel. He kept one hand on the wheel while he dug into his pocket to retrieve the photo. Based on what Alice had seen; the woman in Edward's grip seemed to be a doppelganger of his former human love. He felt something stir within him and couldn't help but sigh.

"I'm not sure what I am feeling. It could be an attraction, curiosity, or maybe I just don't want Edward to make an innocent life suffer again. Carlisle should have been a man and took care of him. One of us should have gone to the Volturi to intervene and collect Edward; perhaps kill him. Something should have been done, Alice."

Alice knew she should have done something but she knew in the end Edward would die. This decision of Edward abducting a human life was one she couldn't see until it had happened. Bella felt even more anger towards Edward since she was taking his stalker possessive nature to a dangerous low.

"Well now something will be done Jasper. He's not going to get away with this and for once, he can't cheat. My mind is blank to him and with what I learned from you, Julian, and some self-defense videos...I can take him." Bella told him calmly.

That last part made Jasper chuckle lightly.

"I have no doubt in my mind Bella that you will take him. It's just...I hope we won't be too late to save her."

"We won't be Jasper, I see that you and Valerie get to know each other quite well. Still we need a location and I think Bella would be right; Edward wouldn't remain in Chicago. No one knows where Edward is and not even Carlisle knew Edward was in Chicago. So it will be up to me to figure out where the two of them are." Alice expressed.

Bella was texting Cynthia since she was following them with Julian in his truck.

"Cynthia expresses her visions aren't useful because she sees more random occurrences and Edward is being concise in his movements. If anyone is going to see what he is doing and where he is it will be you Alice."

Jasper clenched the wheel tighter and was focused on the road ahead of him. Was it possible? No Camilla was dead and this Valerie was probably just either a doppelganger or descendant of her. None of that mattered since Edward was being a sick and psychotic monster.

Alice managed to smile and stated,

"We will find her; I see that she will make Jasper very happy. However it's keeping tabs on Edward that is frustrating. Normally I would be able to see him yet he's...wait hold on..."

Alice held Bella's hand as she closed her eyes and tried to see Edward's future. This would be easier since Valerie was new to her and she's been Edward's sister for a few decades. At first the vision was blurry but soon she was able to see a scene play out in her head and it gave her what they needed.

Edward had chained Valerie to a bed and Valerie's heart was beating in her chest from fear. She didn't know how long it had been since he had knocked her out but she knew this man was behind it. He grinned softly at Valerie as went to her side.

"Hello. It's best not to try and exhaust yourself. After all, humans are fragile yet stubborn things and I want us to get to know each other since you're going to be my life now."

Valerie was scared to know what this man meant by that; but she had a feeling that it meant he was never going to let her go.

"If you're going to rape me; I rather you just do it now and get it over with...I know you're going to hurt me and why else would you abduct me."

Edward chuckled and shook his head.

"I'm not someone who plans to take an unwed virgin. I did try that once but...it ended up backfiring. You'll learn to love me enough in your remaining years if you know what will be good for you."

Valerie's spine shook at his words and her thoughts went to her elderly grandmother. She wondered if she would call the cops if she didn't hear from her in the morning. Edward heard this and chuckled.

"Don't worry, you will have chances to call your grandmother. However you will need to lie to her unless you want something bad to happen to her. She's a rather senile and frail woman...accidents can happen." Edward threatened.

Valerie glared at Edward and shuffled in her bed, trying to get out of the chains so she could strangle him for saying that about her grandmother.

"My grandma isn't senile! Hurt me all you want but leave her out of this! I'd rather die in her place than you killing her!" Val yelled angrily.

She knew she had little grounds to be brave. This man chained her to the bed in a rather eerie apartment and she still had no idea why he had abducted her. Edward tried to read more of her thoughts but they were once again distorted and scattered. He raised an eyebrow as he approached her and he gently stroked Val's face.

"Why is your mind cluttered? I'm getting thoughts that aren't completely your own; memories you shouldn't be able to have...do explain it to me."

Val didn't have to answer him and she spat in his face. Still how could he have known that she wasn't completely normal. There was a reason why her mind was different but she wasn't going to share anything about her with this man. Edward wiped away the spit from his cheek and chuckled in a dark and sinister tone.

"You really shouldn't have done that Bella. You know better than anyone that you being hostile towards me is going to have negative effects on our relationship."

'Bella?' Valerie thought. Was this Bella an ex...oh crap had they broken up and the only reason she was taken was because she looked like this man's ex.

"Look I don't know what happened with you and this Bella, but I am not her. I'm not going to be her and if she didn't want to be with you something must have been wrong in your relationship."

Edward knew in his heart of hearts...that's long since stopped beating that this wasn't his Bella. His Bella was gone and taken by his succubus sister. However this human was weaker than his Bella and there was no succubus going to take her away from him and this made him hopeful.

"What was wrong was that my sister stole her from me and made her something she wasn't. All I did was be an excellent, devoted, and maybe a tad bit overprotective of a boyfriend but she needed my protection. Now she's sleeping with my sister and being a soulless slut and monster. However I think some higher power is giving me a second chance at love with you and I'm going to take advantage of it."

From what Val understood; his ex must have fallen in love with his sister and he was trying to keep his girlfriend by somewhat abusive means. Val knew she needed to get out of here and tried to break free again. Edward shook his head and grinned.

"You're not getting out of those chains until I break you. It's clear you have some fight and spirit in you and I'm going to have to break you so you can be my girl properly. I should have broken her much more but at least I have myself another Bella to correct for the mistakes of the first. You're going to be so happy with me...or you will be once I get through to you."

Valerie felt sick to her stomach as Edward gently kissed Valerie's cheek. It wasn't like kissing Bella but he was going to learn to love her just like she will learn to love him. He cracked a soft smile before he looked out the window. Val caught glimpses of the outside and she didn't recognize the cityscape. Edward could slightly hear her panic in her mind and chuckled.

"Spokane...not as lovely as Alaska or Forks but it will make a lovely home for us for the time being. Maybe if you fall in line; I can let you out in a few months. The cloud cover will help me to roam freely so I won't expose myself."

Spokane...Spokane Washington Valerie thought. Just how long was she out for and how fast did this creep drive for them to be states away from Chicago. Edward felt his throat burn a bit but he couldn't leave for a hunt yet. He would go hunting once Valerie was asleep again. Still he needed to drink something and he couldn't ignore the fine aroma Valerie was giving off.

"It's time for a snack."

Valerie was lost until Edward got a needle with some test tubes. Her eyes widened since there was no way she thought. Edward chuckled as he prepared the needle.

"You're going to be a lovely treat for me Bella. I wanted your blood for so long...while it's not the exact same; it's still going to be delicious. Don't bother trying to scream; the walls are soundproof and this complex is abandoned for the most part. Now be a good girl and let the doctor get a sample." Edward mused as he injected the needle into her.

Valerie hated needles and of all things, she looked as she saw blood transferring from a needle to a test tube. She started to feel weak and like headed as more blood was being taken from her. Edward swapped the full test tube with an empty one. He sniffed the blood from the tube and drank the contents slowly, savoring the taste. Valerie passed out once Edward sighed in relief from the taste and fangs appeared in his perfect smile.

Alice snapped out of the vision and she couldn't help but feel scared for Valerie.

"Spokane...she's in Spokane, Washington Jasper. We need to book it. Edward had his first taste of her blood and who knows how long he's going to keep her. He claims to want her and wants to break her to be his girl but...who knows how much blood lust is going to grow once he finishes the samples he collected already." Alice expressed.

Jasper nodded and he picked up his pace considerably. Bella couldn't help but feel guilty and sighed.

"Is this my fault? Should we have waited until Edward was dead before I was turned. I know this was what I wanted and me being a vampire would make killing Edward easier...but my death caused this didn't it?" Bella asked.

"Don't blame yourself. Edward should have never gone off the deep end like he did when he outed you and Alice. He's going to pay for this and he will soon. With my driving; we should get there in about a day or so. I just hope Edward won't hurt her more than he already has." Jasper expresses.

They had him; they know where he is. Alice sees that Edward would need to hunt soon; and they will take that chance to track him and kill him while Jasper frees Valerie. His days were coming to an end and Edward would be nothing but ashes in the wind and a very dark distant memory.
