Ch4 More about my Lover

It's been 7 months since she was nearly got caught in Paradis Island. It was decided that she lay low for a while there and now they just got back to Marley. Ashley took the kids home and went to Zeke to ask more about her lover. She found him discussing something. Zeke noticed her and immediately put a smile on his face.

"Ashley what can I do for you?"

"If your busy I'll ask some other time" Ashley explained.

"If it's you of course I always have time" Zeke exclaimed in a playful tone while signaling on the chair near him and Ashley sat down. Ashley was feeling unpleasant, more than usual. She has always been wary of everyone especially if includes her kids but right now there's another emotion sprouting. She recognizes this as... anger? She took the courage so that she can get it over with.

"My kids asked me bout their dad and since I don't know much because of you know why so I thought why not ask you." She explained.

"I don't mind. I never met him personally and I only know from how you described him" Zeke was silent while trying to remember the description he was told.

"He has black hair, a few inches taller than you. You said he was really smart and a good person it's just hard to focus on it because of his habit of teasing and scaring people" Zeke continued and chuckled imagining it.

"Well the twins can be scary to others. So a black haired sadist?" Ashley raised an eyebrow.

Zeke raised his hands in the air

"How'd you come to the conclusion sadist? And it was your choice not mine. I haven't met him it was your words"

Ashley nodded in acceptance and stood up.

"Well I better get going. I'm sure the kids will be glad to know about their father"

"Tell the kids I said hi" Zeke smiled. When he was sure she was out of their radar, called for someone. He gave a strict order far from the friendly voice he used with her.

"Keep an eye on her"

Meanwhile Ashley was trying to licture her lover with the details she got. Her whole self screams it was wrong. She imagines looking down on him while teasing him with words that are blurry to her. She feels like his eyes were the most efficient way in understanding him than his facial expressions. Her thoughts wandered to the short man back at Paradis.

She suddenly shook her head denying thinking how absurd it was. She paused at her tracks. Putting the informations she was told, there are loopholes that doesn't make sense. She hurriedly walk then started running after feeling indescribable emotions that scream to take the kids and run. She failed to notice the shadows following her.

Ashley opened the door in a hurry startling the kids and the nanny. Ashley hurriedly apologised and asked the nanny to leave saying there was an emergency.

"Kids I need you to pack your bags now! We're leaving!"

Despite the confusion and questions but swallowed it and followed her instructions. While the twins were packing, Ashley packed hers too with diaries of her study and other important stuff she could fit.

Just when they were about to leave, the door was kicked open and a group entered. Ashley immediately figured out who sent it. Ashley took out a dagger.

"KIDS!" The two already knew what to do and ran to their room and locked it. Ashley focused on preventing anyone from going after the kids. Two of the men charged at her but she was quick enough to dodge and with the opening, knocked them out and stabbed the other by the shoulder. They didn't bother bringing guns thinking it would be easy to take care of her.

Ashley was confident that she'd be able to take care of them and take care of them and take the kids but was stopped by screams leaving her vulnerable. One of them tackled her from behind folowed by another making her unable to do anything. A rope was tied to her wrist.

"The bedroom was entered through the window Damn it!" Ashley was furious.

One entered with a rope, oil and probably matchsticks and went to the bedroom. Ashley caught on in their plan and felt terrified. She struggled and struggled but was proven futile. Ashley tried to scream but was muffled by a cloth.

The house was burning but no kids came out. Her tears were flowing nonstop being forced to watch the burning house. She was dragged with no force. Her eyes showed only grief and gave up. Losing her kids without being able to do nothing kept replaying in her head.
