TAKE 324:

The remaining members of the Resistance, Cindy B., Hope Van Dyne, Fallon Grey, and Mayday were trying to power up their time portal. In the process of trying to fight off Kang the Conqueror, who was trying to stop them.

"The portal is almost ready!" Hope tells Cindy B. and Mayday. "We have one shot at this."

"We already got Singularity sent through." Cindy B. was happy to say as she ran through the cave that they call home. "We just need to get Mayday through."

"Okay, what do I do when I get to 2021?" Mayday asks.

"Find Singularity, we'll send you just a while before Singularity arrives. Once you find her, you go to my house." Cindy B. says as she showed a photo of her childhood home. "You'll most likely find me sulking in the basement."

"Okay, I'll fix this, I promise," Mayday tells her.

"You better." Cindy B. says as the portal activates.

"Go. I can't keep it open for long." Hope warned them.

But before Mayday could run into the portal, the cave started to cave in and crushed everyone. Mayday managed to save herself and managed to get a few bruises in the process. Groaning in pain, she saw the portal was shattering.

She limped towards the portal, she noticed Hope and Cindy were crushed underneath the rubble. Seeing she couldn't help them out right now, she saw there was only one thing she could do. But quickly, she noticed an old relic that Cindy used to try to defeat Kang.

The arrow with Zola imprinted inside.

She quickly picked it up before she ran into the portal before it could collapse, she managed to get through the portal just before it had the chance to shut down. The explosion sent Mayday skidding against the floor and groaning.

Blue Valley, 2021:

Out in the distance of Blue Valley, an engineering company sent out someone to fix the wiring that blew, sending the electricity of the town out of control.

As he was just finishing his work, he missed the gigantic blue sphere of energy forming as the engineer was wrapping up the wiring. What came out of the sphere was a young girl who came stumbling out and crawling with a gasp, finally getting his attention.

He turned and saw the young woman with long, brown, curled, braided hair stumbled and trip as she climbed up using the van for support.

"Hello?" The man asked as he walked over to her.

"I gotta stop him." She muttered as she looked around franticly, muttering things he didn't understand. "Fear the beast. Gravity will fall. Stop the past to save the future."

"Are you okay?" He asked and saw she was clutching her side and blood was pouring out.

"I-I made it back. The year. What year is it?!" She asked the man and grabbed his arm for support.

"2021." The man answered and the girl sighed in relief at hearing the news.

"It worked. I'm back." She sighed in relief and lay her back against the van. "I made it back, dad."

"Lady, what's your name?" He asked and put a hand on her shoulder.

"My name..." She panted and tried her best, almost like she was trying to remember her name. "...My name's May. Mayday Parker."

PRESENT DAY:

Mayday was currently eating a plate full of food from the garage. All of the members of the JSA and Avengers were standing or sitting around her as she was finished explaining her backstory.

"Then the next thing I know, I was brought to a hospital, broke out, then I completed the mission." Mayday gestured towards Singularity, who was resting on the upstairs couch. "Followed Cindy's instructions to find her, then she led me here."

"How did she even know where to find us?" Scott asked as he looked at Cindy B.

"You guys only hang around two other places." Cindy B. scoffed. "Not to mention, who do you think sent the Injustice club here?"

"Why are we still listening to her?" Yolanda asks, angered that she was still here.

"She has a few answers worth listening to." Peter defended her.

"He's right." Mayday agreed.

"So, what's the deal with Singularity?" Beth wonders and looked towards the Cosmic Being.

"Nobody is sure where she came from exactly, but she's basically a child in a cosmic form. She came from my timeline, a failed experiment from AIM trying to fix their mistake." Mayday did her best to explain. "She's supposed to help us locate the Forces just in case I didn't make it in time."

"How is she supposed to do that?" Pat wonders.

"She's a Cosmic Being," Mayday replied as she picked up a jug of water. She immediately started to chug it down, as it was her first drink in days. "The Forces are Cosmic Forces. She has a connection to them, meaning she can track them."

"How do you know she's capable of that?" Chavez wonders.

"Because she found them in my time," Mayday explains. "Of course, in my time, it was too late to save anything."

"So, time travel was your only option." Hank understood their reasoning.

"That's why they sent me back with her. I understand Singularity, and you'll need someone to help comprehend her." Mayday finished explaining and looked to Cindy B. "And I was told she would be willing to help."

"Because in your time, I'm some Resistance leader?" Cindy B. asks with surprise in her voice. "Ironic. All these heroes and I'm the one who survives it all."

"You know what they say about roaches." Yolanda snarled at the girl.

"Well, it seems that you need me now. And... maybe I want a change of heart." Cindy B. shrugged.

"Okay, I know we all have beef and history with Cindy, but if Mayday is telling the truth, we need to put that aside, or we could be dealing with an apocalyptic event." Courtney tried to calm everyone down.

"How can you believe her, Court?" Cassandra wondered as she gestured to the three of them. "How do we know we can trust any of them?"

"There is someone I can call who can confirm everything." Peter reminded them, seeing they knew three people who can confirm it all.

After a while, the Cosmic Being of Singularity finally woke up and was staring off into the distance. Mayday and Cindy B. were both currently being looked down on by the Cuckoo sisters, who were all reading their minds.

"How long does this take?" Cindy B. sighed as she was just getting stared down by Irma's glowing white eyes.

"I'm being thorough," Irma explains what's taking so long.

"You can hide dark thoughts in the back corners of your mind unless I remember to look," Celeste continued her thought as she was reading Mayday's mind.

"But I can't seem to find anything within the three of you." Phoebe finished their thoughts.

"That's still a little weird," Teresa commented on the voices. "Working with others in your head."

"Kinda wonder what it's like to go on a date with them," Joey commented, earning a few strange looks from the group. "Just wondering."

"They're telling the truth," The Cuckoo sisters confirm at the same time.

They were actually surprised that Cindy B. wanted to change. Yet again, after everything that happened with her team and almost dying to Brawn, it makes sense. And maybe hearing how she was able to change things around in the future gave her a moment of clarity to want and change her fate.

"So, what do we do now?" Kate wonders.

"We still need to stop the Cosmic Cube from destroying reality." Hank reminded them.

"And how do we do that, dad?" Hope wonders.

"Well, if she can track the Forces' signature, then we can use her like a beacon." Peter quickly offered a plan. "We already know where most of the AIM facilities are, so we just need to look for the most secure."

"Right, but that leaves us with a lot of AIM Agents, a half dozen Forces to save, and one Cosmic Cube." Teresa recapped their mission.

"Nobody said that saving the world would be easy." Mayday shrugged.

Mike was doing his normal paper routine when he came across something odd. It was basically a giant Big Mac in the middle of the road.

Feeling he was on the right track; he found a bunch of papers thrown into the bushes nearby. Taking a closer look, he saw that it belonged to Jakeem William, who he had met picking up the papers.

"Jakeem." Mike finally knew who ended up with the Thunderbolt.

Inside one of the AIM facilities, all of the Forces have been hooked up to machines. Being drained of life and the Force that lives within them. They were within containment pods so they couldn't use their advanced strengths to escape.

Avery was the first to wake up and started to try and break out. But the moment she used her powers, a surge of energy attacked her. Screaming in pain, the machine stopped and ceased what it was doing. But in doing so, Avery dropped in pain.

"Yeah, I wouldn't do that," Meena said as she strolled inside. "You're already going to get weaker."

Avery then took a look around and noticed that the other Forces of Nature were inside the same cell as her. Cho was in his hulk form, lightly pounding the walls as his energy is being drained. Then she looked again and noticed Alison, the Black Diamond, and Liri (who she hasn't previously met yet) were in the same predicament. Just already weakened to the point they couldn't even stand.

"Why are you doing this?" Avery asked her. "I thought you wanted to help me."

"Help you to control your powers," Meena confirmed as she started to circle the cell. "Help you grow a deeper connection to the Speed Force. So that I could use you."

"You helped me learn how to use my powers so you could take them away?" Avery questions.

"No. Not take. Drain." Meena corrected and gestured to a glowing light in the center of the group. "The Cosmic Cube. We've seen what the future has in mind, and we plan on saving it."

"You're going to kill us all!" Avery cried, knowing draining the power from them would kill them all.

Then the lights started to flicker, purple lightning started flickering around them as some giant chair started to come down. Avery watched as a giant head attached to a small body approached and was revealed to be George Tarlton.

"Oh my god..." Avery was shocked to see how his powers had affected him.

"The Avengers are the ones who will destroy the world," MODOK tells her. "And I will rid the world of the super-powered. Every trace of the Avengers, the JSA, all of them will die. Their legacy, everything will die."

Then gas started to disperse inside Avery's chamber, causing her to cry out and try to escape before she was rendered unconscious.

Mike was starting to follow the news to try and follow where Jakeem was but ultimately went to find him at his house. When he made it to his home (thanks to his route, he knew where he lived), he found Jakeem outside his home looking around franticly.

"Hey, hey, Jakeem!" Mike cries as he jumped off his bike.

"Mike?" Jakeem stopped looking around and noticed him.

"Where's the Thunderbolt?" Mike asks him.

"How did you know about that?" Jakeem wonders.

"What?" Mike replied.

Then Jakeem shrieked at something, causing Mike to also shriek. But then he looked and noticed there wasn't anything coming.

"Okay, what are you doing?" Mike asks Jakeem.

"I was hungry, right?" Jakeem asks him, deciding to skip his questions and explain them. "So I wished for this big cheeseburger."

"Yeah, I saw," Mike remembered the one on the street.

"It was big. Scary big." Jakeem stated something a bit obvious. "I freaked out and dropped my papers. I wanted to get out of there quick, so I wished my bike could fly, and then it took off." He then looked back to the skies and spun around. "It's passed by a couple of times."

"Okay." Mike didn't know how to really process that. "Where is the Thunderbolt?"

"I was still hungry. So I wished for Chinese food, and he flew away." Jakeem explains to him.

"You idiot!" Mike cried, knowing exactly what he did wrong. "You probably sent him to China! How long has he been gone?"

"Three or four hours," Jakeem answered.

"Okay." Mike sighed. "Well, we need him to get back here now."

Jakeem looked down at the pen in confusion. "Why?"

"Listen." Mike walked closer to keep others from hearing. "Have you ever heard of the Avengers or Justice Society of America?"

Jakeem didn't seem to understand or know what either of those are. "Is that like the Boy Scouts? Because I'm really bad at tuning knots."

Mike tried to keep it together, knowing that this is going to be a long and hard conversation.

Singularity was starting to look around the garage, getting a feel for the time that she was in. Her whole existence, she has known nothing but death and destruction. But she was told she had a purpose. And she had the power to fix everything.

"So..." Mayday walked over to her. "You okay?"

"I don't know." Singularity tells her.

"Fair." Mayday shrugged. "Listen, we need your help. Remember how you tracked the Forces?"

"A little." Singularity didn't really remember how she managed to do it. "I just remember having a feeling. And following it led me to them."

"Well, we need you to do it again," Mayday tells her. "We have a chance to destroy the world that we came from."

Singularity seemed to like that idea and was happy to see the world she came from destroyed. "Then I'll get to work."

The others were working on the fact that not only was Cindy B. supposed to be a Resistance leader in the future, but Peter was supposed to be Kang.

"Okay, I don't get it." Rick was the first to talk after hearing the news. "How are you supposed to become Kang the Conqueror? Isn't he, like some sort of time traveler?"

"When the Cosmic Cube is created, it seems that something happened to me," Peter remembered what Kang told him. "He told me that he lost everyone that he ever loved and didn't have the power to stop it."

"The Cosmic Cube did this?" Riri was shocked to hear.

"Something this powerful can't fall into AIMs hands," Peter said as he crossed his arms, remembering what Kang did to his friends of that timeline. "Or mine."

"If we're going to attack one of AIM's most secure facilities, I think we're going to need some help," Teresa commented and looked over towards Cindy B., who was talking on the phone with someone. "And who's she talking to?"

"No idea," Pat admitted.

"I'll give our friends at the X-Mansion a call and see what they can offer up." Bobbie offered as he walked away.

"Uh..." Beth got everyone's attention when she was looking out at the garage door. "Is she supposed to be doing that?"

They all looked to see what she was referring to and noticed Singularity. Mayday was wondering what she was staring at as she was looking at the sky.

"Singularity, you okay?" Mayday asks her.

"I found the Forces." Singularity tells her.

"What?" Mayday wonders, looking up and seeing clear skies. "Where?"

Singularity then pointed up to the skies again, gesturing the thought that the Forces are in the sky. But Riri did something that she hadn't considered before and activated a sonar feature in her suit.

"Tony, give me a scan of any AIM activity going on above Blue Valley," Riri asked her AI.

"Oh, that's not good." Tony was sorry to say when he discovered something.

"Oh my god," Riri said as she looked terrified under the mask. "It's their Base of Operations."

"They never left Blue Valley." Pat started to put it together.

AIM has been watching them this entire time. Watching all of them.

The only way to prevent the future that they saw from becoming a reality is to get up to their base, take down AIM once and for all, and end this.
