Morning light came into the penthouse. Lucifer was awake and looking over at a sleeping Chloe. He smiled at her, happy after the events of the previous night. Chloe then suddenly awoke and looked over to see Lucifer, "Oh. Hi. Was I snoring like a truck driver? You know what, don't answer that, 'cause I just remembered you don't lie." Lucifer smiled and leaned down to kiss Chloe, who gladly reciprocated the kiss. Lucifer pulled back and said, "Good morning, Detective. Are you cold?" Chloe was confused, "Cold? No, why?" "Odd," Lucifer replied. "Given that Hell was supposed to freeze over." Chloe chuckled, remembering what she said to him when they first met, "Right, 'cause I said that I wouldn't have sex with you until Hell froze over, yes, you think you're very funny." Lucifer chuckled, "Oh, I know I'm very funny. I also know that you are ticklish." Lucifer started to tickle Chloe with kisses and Chloe laughed, "Oh, my gosh! OK, OK! I am starving. So what do you feel like? Eggs or pancakes? An old fashioned?" Lucifer smiled, "Whatever you want is dandy." Chloe rolled them over so she was on top and said, "Come on. You must have some preference. What do you truly desire?" Lucifer felt his body want to tell his deepest desire, which surprised him, as he answered, "I want to have sex with you another four times. Six, actually." Chloe was confused as well, "Did I just mojo you?" "I don't know," Lucifer answered honestly. Chloe then chuckled, "You're messing with me." "Am I?" Lucifer replied. Chloe laughed, "Yes. You're messing with me. You are so silly. OK. Hungry. You know what? Breakfast burritos. I'm getting breakfast burritos. Do you think Carlos would like some too?" She looked through her texts and saw, "Oh. Ella texted me. We have a case. I can order breakfast for all of us and get it on the way to the crime scene, after I stop by my place to get a change of clothes."

Lucifer said, "You know what, Detective? That sounds like a splendid idea. But I have to make a pit stop at Linda's before work today. OK?" Chloe nodded and they both got dressed. "Are you going to take Carlos with you to Linda's?" Chloe asked. Lucifer shook his head, "No. Can you do me a favor, love, and tell Carlos on your way out? My appointment with Linda is rapidly approaching." Chloe nodded and Lucifer finished dressing quickly and left the penthouse. Chloe finished dressing herself and thought, "Now, hopefully Carlos is already awake. Or else trying to wake a teenage boy will be interesting."

Down in the guest suite, Carlos was just waking up. Dude was stretching next to him and said, "Man. You were right about getting enough sleep. Your dad and Chloe were…." "Don't finish that sentence," Carlos said. "I don't want to know. I had these noise cancelling headphones on all night for a reason. Come on. I need to get dressed and start the day." Carlos got out of bed and got dressed quickly and put his ring on to get his illusion spelled hair back as he heard the elevator doors open. He walked over to the elevator and was surprised to see Chloe standing there, "Hey, Carlos. I see you're up and awake. I hope that…." Carlos stopped her, "I know what you're going to say. Don't worry. I wore noise cancelling headphones as I slept. Didn't hear a thing. I felt your privacy was to be respected. So, where's my dad?" Chloe answered, "He had to stop at Linda's for an appointment. I got a text about another case and I was going to stop by my house to get a change of clothes and grab breakfast burritos and meet your dad at the crime scene. Want to come?" "Sure," Carlos answered. Dude ran over, "Does this mean I can ride shotgun?"

Lucifer drove over to Linda's house and barged in, "Doctor! I need your help with a most pressing…..What is that sound?" He was hearing a mechanical pumping noise and Linda answered, "My boobs. I'm pumping. Wearable breast pumps. Best invention since the epidural." Lucifer sighed and got right to the point, "The Detective has mojo." Linda was confused, "She…what?" Lucifer explained, "We had sex, and then this morning…." Linda interrupted, "Wow. Wait, you guys had sex? Finally! This is wonderful!" Lucifer sighed, "Well, it was wonderful, yes. Of course it was, but like I was saying, tiny hiccup, she can now do what I do. Expose people's desires." "Well, how did that happen?" Linda asked. Lucifer replied, "I don't know, Doctor. Why do you think I've come to see you? All I know is, she didn't have mojo, then we had sex, and now she does." "How did you even find out that she could do that?" Linda asked. "Well," Lucifer admitted. "Only by accident. She's seen me do it quite a bit, so she did it as a joke, and it happened to….Hold on. Do you think it's possible I've given my power to everyone I've ever had sex with and just never knew it? Even Cruella De Vil? Or even…."

Lucifer looked at Linda, who asked, "Who, me? No." Lucifer replied, "Well, we did the deed, several times, and in, you know, all sorts of positions." Linda nodded, "Yes, I remember. How could I forget? Anyway….But Lucifer, your mojo is like a superpower. Like Carlos' power of persuasion. I don't have it. Or do I? I guess I've never tried." Lucifer sighed, "Well, let's try now. Come on. Lean in. Look into my eyes. Ask me what I desire." Linda leaned in and said, "This is good. I mean, Lucifer, what do you desire?" Lucifer looked into Linda's eyes, but felt nothing, "No. Nada. Totally limp. Well, that's several million bullets dodged. Even Cruella. So it's just the Detective who's the problem." "Why does it have to be a problem?" Linda asked. "Because," Lucifer replied. "Desire is my thing. My mojo is the reason I'm useful to her in the first place. If she can do it, too, what's my role in the partnership? Who even am I?" Linda sighed, "OK, so you don't think that you can share this with her and still be you? Lucifer, that's what being in a relationship is, sharing without losing yourself in the process. Besides, the fact that Chloe can now mojo people, too, doesn't mean that you have to stop." Lucifer realized, "You're right. I am, and always will be, master of the mojo. King of desire. Sultan of humans' innermost wishes. Thank you, Doctor." Lucifer turned around and walked out of the house. Linda sighed as her breasts kept pumping.

Chloe stopped by her house with Carlos to change clothes, they picked up their order of breakfast burritos, and Chloe drove them over to the crime scene. It was in a suburban neighborhood and Chloe parked a few houses down from the crime scene. Chloe got out and so did Carlos, who was finishing up his breakfast burrito and giving some bits to Dude, who ate them happily. Chloe and Carlos walked to the crime scene with Dude following behind. Ella saw them and ran up to them, "Hey, Chloe. Hey, Carlos." Carlos nodded his greeting as he was chewing the last bite of his burrito. "Hey, Ella," Chloe greeted. Ella walked with Chloe on one side while Carlos was on her other side. Ella asked, "So, did you and Lucifer finally get over your issues and under the covers for the old no-pants dance?" Carlos slowed his pace down as he did not want to be a part of this conversation. Chloe whispered to Ella, "We sure did." Ella sighed, "Well, I'm so sorry, Decker. You know, sometimes…..Wait, I'm sorry. Rewind. Did you just say yes?" Ella had stopped Chloe and Carlos stopped as well muttering, "Here we go." Chloe nodded as Ella squealed, "OMG! I was so ready to have my Deckerstar dreams crushed again." "Deckerstar?" Carlos asked. Ella nodded, "My couple name for them. Cute right?" Carlos shrugged, "Yeah. Mine's Jarlos." Ella squealed as Chloe asked Ella, "Why?" Ella explained, "Because it's been one bumper after another with you two. I didn't want to get my hopes up." Chloe sighed, "Yeah, I know. I mean, it has been a long road, but, well, here we are." "Cool beans," Ella replied.

Chloe was confused, "Wait, why do I get the feeling that you're not just asking to ask? What's up?" Ella grinned, "Busted. OK. I couldn't wait to tell you about my thing." "You have a thing?" Chloe asked. Ella nodded, "I might have a thing. So, remember that reporter who seemed way too nice to be my type? Yeah, so, um, you know, I decided to give it a shot, and we met up last night and let me tell you, he is not always too nice." Chloe giggled as Carlos said, "Um, can we have this conversation later, please?" Chloe nodded, "Yes, of course. Sorry, Carlos."

Lucifer then came up to them, "Morning, Miss Lopez. Morning, Carlos. And Dude. Morning, Detective." Chloe smiled up at Lucifer, "Good morning again, Lucifer." Lucifer chuckled as they stared at each other, to which Carlos interrupted, "Hey, Dad. Save the lovey dovey for later, OK?" "Yes, right," Lucifer replied. He turned to Ella, who was starting at him strangely, as Lucifer explained, "Uh, sorry for the delay. I had to make a pit stop at Linda's. And thank you for taking Carlos with you. Carlos, I apologize for leaving Lux abruptly." Carlos shrugged, "It's fine. Just warn me next time, please?" Lucifer nodded, "Of course. So, what have we got? Any witnesses or suspects on whom my uncanny interview skills are required, if you know what I mean?" Chloe replied, "Uh, I actually have no information on the victim yet. Ella, is, um…" Ella was still staring at Lucifer, so Carlos snapped his fingers and said, "Ella, focus." Ella followed Carlos' command and Chloe asked, "Is Dan here yet?" Ella replied, "Oh, El Espinoza called in sick, I'm afraid." Lucifer sighed, "Ugh, did he look in the mirror again? I told him not to do that." Lucifer chuckled at that, to which Carlos whispered, "Dad. Lighten up on Dan." Lucifer nodded, and said, "We should…" He pointed to the house and Ella said, "Right."

They all walked into the house and saw the victim tied to a chair, holding lilies, with her throat cut open. Carlos whispered, "That's disturbing." Ella told everyone the info on the victim, "Diane Luna, famous soprano. Time of death, 10 p.m. last night. Check out this puncture mark. My guess, toxicology reports will confirm that she was injected with some sort of paralytic agent." "Is that how she died?" Chloe asked. Ella shook her head, "Worse. Much worse. You see this blood stein pattern on these lilies? That's from Diane coughing as she was choking on her own blood. The killer inserted a knife into her throat, made two very precise cuts, slashing her vocal cords." "That's terrible," Carlos commented. Chloe looked at the victim, "Sounds like someone went to a lot of trouble to make a point." "Yes," Lucifer agreed. "I smell an annoyed neighbor who's tired of her singing. Shall I go mojo them all? I should, shouldn't I?" Chloe replied, "Well, there's no sign of forced entry, so most likely Diane knew her assailant." Lucifer sighed, "Well, a jilted lover, then, based on the flowers." Chloe replied, "Except she was a famous opera star. I mean, look. They have flowers all the time. Ella, who found the body?" Ella answered, "Oh, uh, Norman, Diane's neighbor. Over there."

Ella pointed to Norman, who was talking to a police officer. "Oh," Lucifer said. "Right the first time. Annoyed neighbor, it is." "Yeah," Ella replied. "Apparently he found the door ajar, came across the body, and phoned it in." "That's what he says," Lucifer said. "This way, Detective, Carlos. I suspect we're about to hear this suspect's confession." Carlos was confused as to why his dad kept talking about his desire mojo and getting confessions. Lucifer walked the two, with Dude tailing behind to Norman. Chloe introduced herself, "Hi. Detective Decker. Can we ask you a few questions?" "Sure," Norman said. Lucifer then stepped forward, "It must have been pretty irritating living right next door to a soprano, hmm? You wanted to silence her once and for all, didn't you? Learn from the master. Tell me, Norman, what is it you desire?" Instead of saying his desire, Norman said, "What? That's a weird thing to ask, man." Carlos was confused as well, "What's going on?" "Not working," Lucifer said. "But that means….Detective, I think you stole my mojo." "What?" Carlos asked.

Chloe sat Norman down and Lucifer went around asking people out their desires, but to no avail. Carlos was confused as to what was going on, so Chloe said, "Carlos, just have a seat and we'll explain later." Carlos sat down, Dude jumped up into Carlos' lap, and Norman said, "I don't know what's going on either, but is that guy OK? He seems weird to me." "Hey," Carlos said. "That's my dad. Show some respect. Even if he's freaking out right now. Now, tell the detective here everything that she asks you. And tell the truth. Did you kill Diane?" Norman felt his body obey Carlos' command and he said, "I couldn't have done this. I spent the whole night in Northrend." "Where?" Chloe asked. "Northrend," Norman replied. "In Azeroth?" Carlos explained, "He means World of Warcraft. It's a video game. I see ads for it all the time." Chloe nodded, "Ah, yes, we're talking video games?" Normal explained, "I led my guild on a 17 hour campaign last night." "So you were home and awake all night?" Chloe asked. "Did you hear anything?" "Did I?" Norman scoffed. "First, those awful vocal exercises, like every damn night, but then, as an annoying bonus, two hours of arguing." "What were they arguing about?" Chloe asked. "And did you get any details at all, names, anything?" Norman shook his head, "No. Once I realized the noise wasn't stopping, I cranked up my headset so I could hear my raiding party. It's getting so a guy can't plunder a Lich King's barrow in peace anymore." Chloe sighed, "Tough times. Yes, so we're going to need your game log to confirm your alibi."

"Unbelievable," Lucifer said from behind them. Chloe sighed, "Excuse us." She and Carlos stood up, Dude jumping off of Carlos' lap, and they walked over to Lucifer. Carlos asked, "Dad, what are you doing?" "Literally nothing," Lucifer said. "I'm powerless." "Did you really lose your mojo?" Chloe asked. "You lost it?" Carlos asked. "How is that possible?" Lucifer sighed, "When we had sex, it passed from me to you, Detective." Carlos was flabbergasted, "Excuse me? What? That literally makes no sense." "I agree," Chloe said. "That's ridiculous. I…We were only playing around this morning. I don't have your mojo." Lucifer sighed, "There's only one way to be sure." Chloe realized what he meant, "Right now? No! I'm not gonna mojo you here. It's not gonna work anyhow." "Please try," Lucifer begged. "Fine," Chloe said as she stared into Lucifer's eyes. "What do you desire?" Lucifer felt it and gritted out, "I want my mojo back." Chloe leaned back, "Oh, my God. It's real. It's cool." Lucifer scoffed, "No, not cool." Chloe sighed, "Lucifer, we just got together. You're already finding things to freak out about." "I'm not finding anything, Detective," Lucifer argued. "All I've done is lose stuff." "Are you sure, Dad?" Carlos asked. "Have you truly lost it to Chloe? Or is it just on the fritz or something?" Chloe turned to Carlos, "Maybe I could try it on you." Carlos shook his head, "It never worked on me with Dad, so probably not. Plus, I don't think this is what's going on, in my opinion. You're just freaking out a little too much about something that maybe didn't actually happen." Chloe turned back to Lucifer, "Maybe Carlos is right. Do you realize how long it took us to get here? We finally have something good going on. I mean, can we please just enjoy it for a minute?" Lucifer sighed, "Of course."

Over at Linda's house, Amenadiel was trying to put together a walker for Charlie when Maze barged in. She said, "Linda said that you were out with Dan, dodging baseball bats." Amenadiel sighed, "We were suppose to go the the Dodger baseball game." Maze huffed, "Oh. That's much more lame." Amenadiel shook his head, "No, what's lame is Dan ditched me last minute. So I just came back here to get some work done." Maze scoffed, "Work? Building more stuff for Charlie? How much does that kid need? I had two rocks when I was growing up. One sharp, one not. Take the sharp one and try to stab things. Take the dull one, try to make it sharp." Amenadiel looked up at Maze, "That explains a lot." Maze continued, "It explains why I'm not a spoiled brat, which is exactly what Charlie's going to become if you keep buying him more toys. Look at Carlos. He didn't get any toys growing up thanks to that crazy mom of his, and look how he turned out." "This is not a toy, Maze," Amenadiel argued. "This is a stimulating, educational recreation-scape that if you…Never mind. You know, the truth is when Dan didn't show up, coming back here was the only thing that occurred to me. How pathetic is that? I can't even remember how I spent my time before I had Charlie." Maze then got an idea for Amenadiel.

Over at LAPD, Chloe, Lucifer, Ella, and Carlos were looking over the files on Diane to help solve her case. Dude was getting bored sitting at Carlos' feet. Ella mentioned, "OK, well, according to Diane's calendar, at the time her neighbor heard the fight, our victim was meeting with someone named Mario Canales." Chloe replied, "Well, if it was a standing weekly appointment, I'm sure Diane knew Mario Canales well. Carlos, can you see what's online?" Carlos pulled over the laptop and said, "On it." Carlos went typing away and pulled up info on Mario, "OK, so he's got a website, and it looks like he's a vocal coach." "Oh," Ella responded. "Well, if the appointment was a weekly coaching session, that would explain the noises that Norman was complaining about." "What was the argument?" Chloe asked. Carlos saw Diane's phone sitting there and Carlos pulled up their text chat, "Here's something interesting. They were just texting." Ella looked over Carlos' shoulder, "It's a sext chain." Lucifer smirked, "Nothing wrong with inserting a little creativity into throat exercises." "That is some strong emoji game there," Ella commented. "Although, it's really making me crave my mom's eggplant tacos." "OK," Carlos said. "That went completely out of left field." Chloe asked, "Wait, so they were having an affair?" "Maybe," Carlos said. "According to his website, he's married with kids." Lucifer suggested, "Well, maybe the vocal coach was worried that Diane would sing to his wife, so he cut her off before she could." Chloe agreed, "Right, let's go talk to Mario."

They suddenly heard a bang. They looked over to see that Pete was there and had slammed into the glass of the door. Ella ran over and opened the door, "Oh, my gosh! Pete, are you OK?" "Ow!" Pete replied. "What's wrong with that door?" Ella pulled Pete into the room and Pete saw other people there, "Hey, um, hi. Sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt you at work. But I scored these two VIP tickets to the Star Trek convention downtown. I have no idea if you're into it, but it's totally my thing, and I was wondering if you wanted to come with me." "Star Trek?" Lucifer scoffed. "Please, Miss Lopez knows more about that stuff than you ever could." Ella demonstrated by speaking Klingon. Lucifer smirked, "See? She even speaks Chewbacca." Carlos chuckled, "Dad, she spoke Klingon. Chewbacca is a character from Star Wars. Do your research. Pete and Ella started to talk to each other in Klingon as Lucifer said, "But Star Trek is your thing." Ella giggled, "Well, I mean, Lucifer, the 24th century is big enough for the both of us." Chloe elbowed Lucifer and whispered, "See? Sharing's not that hard." They smirked at the couple that were still talking in Klingon to each other, but Carlos was staring at Pete, as he felt something was off about him, but he couldn't put his finger on it.

Lucifer, Chloe, and Carlos, along with Dude, went over to the studio where Mario was. They went into the recording booth and found a woman sitting there. Chloe said, "Excuse me. I'm Detective Decker. We're looking for a Mario Caneles." The woman said, "Uh, he's kind of busy right now." But Mario then just finished recording his song and Carlos said, "Not so busy anymore." Chloe, Lucifer, Carlos, and Dude walked into the area where Mario was recording and Lucifer clapped his hands, "Bravo, Mr. Canales. A-list vocal coach by day, Z-list jingle singer by night." Mario turned around, but seemed in a trance and said, "Oh, wow." Carlos was confused by the man's actions, but Lucifer said, "Look, it's happening already. Our mojo's working on him." Chloe replied, "Aw, you call it our mojo." Lucifer chuckled, "Now, go on. Go in for the coup dee grace. You've got this." Chloe nodded, while Carlos shook his head thinking, "They really don't get it, do they?" Chloe turned to Mario, "Mr. Canales, I'm Detective Decker, and I need to ask you a few questions. What do you desire?" Mario smiled, "To tell you anything you want to know." Carlos was confused, "What the hell?" Lucifer stepped up, "Very good. What we want to know it, why did you kill Diane Luna?"

Mario was confused, "Wait, Diane is dead?" "The performance is over, Mario," Lucifer said. "We've seen your eggplant." Chloe added, "We know you were having an affair with Diane. Did she threaten to tell your wife?" "What?" Mario asked. "No. My marriage has been over for almost a year." Chloe scoffed, "Well, the happy family photos on your website suggest otherwise." Mario sighed, "Look, I only keep those up for appearances' sake." "Then why'd you fight the night of her murder?" Chloe asked. "Well, isn't it obvious?" Lucifer suggested. "Mr. Canales taught Diane all his tricks, and then she rose above him. The pupil leaving the master. I mean, who'd enjoy that?" "I did," Mario revealed. "I was so proud of Diane. And besides, she was my best calling card. That's why we fought. I didn't want her to throw it all away." "Why would she throw it all away?" Mario explained, "She was about to go public with some major accusations against an opera star. I tried to talk her out of it." "An opera star?" Chloe asked. "Who?" Mario seemed reluctant to tell, so Carlos said, "Tell us what you know." Mario obeyed Carlos' command, "You didn't hear this from me, but Niels Schuman is a tyrant and a bully." Lucifer recognized the name, "Niels Schuman, the world class baritone?" Mario nodded, "Yeah, he's a world class jerk. He throws things at people. He flies into fits of rage for no reason. Diane wanted to bring him down. I told her it would end her." "Sounds like it did," Lucifer commented. Mario realized, "So you think Niels is behind this?" Lucifer and Chloe looked at each other and Carlos muttered, "Maybe so."

Over in a cemetery, Dan was standing beside Charlotte's grave, "I miss you so much. So damn much, Charlotte. You fought so hard to be a better person. And you made me believe I could be better, too. And I'm trying. But I always fall short. And now I've seen something. Something that proves just how important it is to get it right. To be good. And the good news is I'm pretty sure this means that you're in Heaven, just like Amenadiel said. But the bad news is I don't think I'm gonna be joining you." Dan kneeled to the ground and sobbed, "I'm terrified, Charlotte. For me, for Chloe, for Trixie. I need help. I just need help. I need guidance. I need a sign, I need something. Help me. Please. Help me."

Suddenly a white light surrounded him. Dan turned to see Michael, dressed in white angel robes, and his black wings spread out, fly down and land in front of him. Michael said, "Daniel Espinoza, your prayers have been answered." Dan was scared, "Lucifer?" Micheal smiled, "I am not Lucifer. Look at the mark on my face. He did this to me. My twin brother hates me because I am his opposite. The good to his bad. Perhaps you've heard of me. I'm the Archangel Michael." Dan was confused, "The Archangel?" Michael nodded, "I know that you're struggling. I know that you're afraid of going to Hell. But I bring you good news, Daniel. Your redemption is not lost. There is a way for you to right all your wrongs. A way for you to protect your loved ones." He held out his hand for Dan to take.

Over at the penthouse, Chloe walked in saying, "Lucifer. Um, so Mario's alibi checks out, and we can't question Niels 'cause he's in the air, flying back from a performance in New York. So, really, there's nothing we can do until he lands." She walked over towards the bedroom and saw Lucifer sitting there in the nude, waiting for her, "I disagree. As fun as it is to watch you use my, I mean, our, but really my mojo, I'd like it back. So let's have sex again, me on top this time." Chloe chuckled nervously, "Do you really think that's going to work? As if your mojo is some sort of STD?" Lucifer scoffed, "Well, we have to try something."

They heard the elevator doors open and Carlos walked in with Dude, "Hey, I'm back from walking Dude…OK. Dad, please cover yourself up. Now I have a image in my mind that will be hard to erase." Carlos picked Dude up and covered his eyes, even though Dude said, "What's the big deal? I've seen you naked before." "Dude!" Carlos shushed. Lucifer obeyed Carlos and put a pillow over his privates as Chloe sat down, "This is really getting to you, huh? Trust me, it's not like I don't want to have sex with you, because I really, really do…" "Not helping, Chloe," Carlos interrupted. Chloe continued, "But, putting this kind of agenda on it, it just sucks all the fun out of it. Yeah, and please do not make a pun right now because one, your son is standing right there, and two, I am a little worried that you're having such a hard time sharing this with me, because relationships are about give and take." "She has a point, Dad," Carlos said. "It's the same for me and Jane." Lucifer sighed, "Well, it's easy for you two to say. So far, it's all "I give and you take."" Chloe clarified, "I mean emotionally, Lucifer." Lucifer replied, "Oh, I know exactly what you mean." Carlos saw the look on Lucifer's face, "Oh, great."

Lucifer dragged Chloe to Linda's office and Carlos came with along with Dude. "So, couples therapy?" Chloe asked. "When we've been a couple for, what, five seconds? It's definitely not what I meant." "I see," Linda said from her seat across from them. "But I'm afraid, in order for this to work, you both have to be willing to be here. And Carlos, why are you here?" Carlos groaned, "I saw some things today that I want to unsee." Linda understood, "Got it." Lucifer said, "Well, she said she was happy to do this." Chloe replied, "No, no, I'm happy. I'm happy to be here. I'm thrilled, actually, to have someone rational weigh in on all of this and agree with this. I mean, Lucifer's being ridiculous, OK? Can you please tell him that it makes zero sense that I stole his mojo during sex?" "I could have told you that," Carlos said from where he was standing.

Linda sighed, "OK, well, actually, I don't think Lucifer is being that ridiculous." "Seriously?" Carlos said. "You don't?" Chloe asked. Linda shook her head, "It's not like we covered celestial powers in med school. But having sex with someone you truly care about requires surrendering control, giving up power. And on an emotional level, Lucifer's reasoning does make some amount of sense." Lucifer smirked, "Thank you, Doctor." Linda continued, "And the fact that he came to this emotionally mature insight on his own, impressive. Shows a sign that he's grown." "I still think it's BS," Carlos commented. Lucifer glared at Carlos, then said to Linda, "Bully for me. Now can we jump to the part where you teach the detective how to, you know, return the mojo?" Linda sighed, "Yeah, scratch emotional maturity. Ok, so, look. Try to put yourself in Lucifer's shoes. For instance, what if your gun and badge were taken away, only to be given to Lucifer?" Lucifer smirked, "Liking the sound of that. Go on." Chloe was confused, "I'm sorry, I'm not following." Linda explained, "Being a detective is a big part of your identity. It empowers you. Now imagine losing it. OK, Lucifer's issues can sometimes seem… outlandish would be putting it mildly. But the one thing that I've learned is that there's usually something buried underneath, sometimes deep, deep, deep down, but ultimately meaningful, and worth trying to understand." Chloe nodded her head.

Lucifer stood up, "Good. Now as Chloe is thinking about that, we can have Carlos' session." He walked over and dragged Carlos to sit in between himself and Chloe, Dude jumping up and sitting on Carlos' lap. Linda asked, "So I am going to assume you saw your father in a position a child would not want to see their parent in?" Carlos nodded, "Yeah. It's just weird walking in and seeing your father naked. Don't get me wrong, I've seen naked men before thanks to locker rooms and, well, weird people on the Isle, but seeing my dad naked is weird. And that image will now always be there." Lucifer smirked, "I'm surprised that your virgin self has seen more than I thought." Chloe was confused, "Wait, what?" "Oh," Lucifer explained. "Carlos here is a virgin." "Dad!" Carlos hissed. "Seriously?" "Oh, come on," Lucifer said. "Being a virgin in this day and age is rare. And I'm surprised that my son is one." Dude chuckled, "Your dad's got you there." Carlos covered Dude's mouth, "You are not helping."

Linda scolded, "Now, Lucifer, just because Carlos is your son doesn't mean that he thinks and acts like you. And he is still a child. But Carlos, I do want to ask you this. Are you fine with being a virgin?" Carlos sighed, "Yea. I mean, I know guys from both sides of my world have scored with girls, but I never have. I wasn't exactly the jock type growing up. And I really didn't think about intimate relationships either. Thanks to my mom as being her slave kept me preoccupied. Plus, I was more interested in technology." Linda hummed, "Do intimate relationships still scare you?" Carlos shrugged, "Yes and no. I was scared that I was someone not worthy of love because I am a VK, villain kid, someone who wasn't exposed to love like the Auradon kids were. But when I saw my friend, Mal, fall in love with Ben, and from letting go of my fear of dogs thanks to Dude, I realized that I wanted to have that kind of relationship with someone. And it took me a while to realize that the person I want to have a romantic relationship with is Jane. It took me a while to gain the courage to ask her out, and we've been going slow with it as it's our first romantic relationship, for both of us. She's been working on coming out of her shell more and I have been working on having a positive relationship with someone."

Linda nodded, "And that is completely understandable, given the background you have. Now, have the two of you engaged in any sort of sexual contact?" Carlos shrugged, "We've made out, if that's what you're asking. But nothing further than that. I mean, it took us a while to kiss each other for the first time. And our make out sessions have slowly released our boundaries of touch to where we've started touching each other, in certain areas, while making out, but always with clothes on. I want to be respectable to her and her boundaries, and she's been doing the same with me." Linda nodded, "And do you want to go further with Jane?" Carlos sighed happily, "Yeah, I do. I see a whole future with her. So I do not want to mess this up by speeding things along. We want to do this together when we both feel it's the right time. Even if that might not be until we are married. As I do not want to earn the wrath of her mother, Fairy Godmother." Linda nodded in understanding. Lucifer looked at Carlos with sincerity. He was surprised to hear that his son had a special kind of relationship and seemed to understand things that he never did. Lucifer sighed, "Carlos, you are a good man. You seem to have better understanding and control than I ever had. And that's impressive. But whenever the time comes for when you and Jane want to take that next step, I'll make sure to give you some pointers for the bedroom." Carlos chuckled, "OK, Dad." Chloe smiled at the father and son, even though she still felt bad for having to hear Carlos talk about private matters.

Over at Lux, Amenadiel walked into the club looking for Maze, "You said you wanted to introduce me to someone?" Maze smiled and threw Amenadiel his angel robes, "Amenadiel. Meet your old self. You sounded like you needed a break from all that dad stuff. Put it on." Amenadiel sighed, "Maze, I really don't think this is…" Suddenly Maze threw one of her demon knives at him. Amenadiel dodged himself out of the way and the knife cut through his robes and slammed into the wall behind him. Amenadiel turned to Maze, "Maze, what are you…" Maze charged in and started to fight him, as Amenadiel dodged her attacks. He held onto Maze's arm, as the demon said, "We used to have some good times here." She shoved him backwards to the bar, and licked the side of his face. Amenadiel sighed, "This is not what I meant." Mazee slammed Amenadiel's head into the bar, and said, "Of course not, because now, all you are is a lame ass baby daddy." Amenadiel fought back and slammed her into the bar and then threw her to the floor. Maze laughed, "Don't lie. You're enjoying this."

Amenadiel got into a fighting stance as Maze got up from the floor. They started to fight each other again and were pretty evenly matched until Amenadiel got her against a wall and held her arms apart. MAaze smirked and leaned up to kiss Amenadiel, and they started to make out. But then suddenly Maze pulled back, "This isn't working." Amenadiel agreed, "Yeah, I don't this is what I need." Maze looked up at him, "I wasn't talking about you. This isn't working for me." Maze walked away leaving Amenadiel standing there, trying to figure out what Maze meant.

Over at the opera house, Chloe, Lucifer, Carlos, and Dude were watching Niels posing for a photoshoot. Chloe leaned in to Lucifer, "You know, I've been thinking, and Linda does have a point. Feeling powerless is no joke. I just….I'm so used to dismissing your crazy antics that I haven't been taking you…" She saw him pull out a gun and holster it, "Seriously? A gun?" Lucifer smirked, "Well, I like to call it our gun. Don't worry, it's all properly permitted. Isn't that right, Carlos?" Carlos nodded, "Yeah. You got to love technology." Chloe looked at Carlos, "You faked a permit?" Carlos smirked, "Maybe. I did make it legit." Chloe sighed and turned back to Lucifer, "Well, outlandish, for sure, but if this is the emotional crutch that you feel you need to deal with the loss of your mojo, then I will do my very best to be understanding. Plus, we have Carlos as a backup." Lucifer smiled, "Thank you."

They heard Niels get upset and throw a prop at a crew member for eating an apple in his eye line. Lucifer remarked, "Charming." He and Chloe walked over to Niels and both said while both holding a badge, "LAPD." Niels sighed, "Ah. This must be about Diane. Awful, what happened to her." Lucifer replied, "A relief for you, I'm sure." Niels was offended, "Excuse me?" Chloe explained, "We know she was gathering witnesses to go on record against you, and had collected a lot of evidence about your abusive behavior." Lucifer added, "Enough to make you want to go snippety-snip on her vocal cords." Niels scoffed, "Her accusations couldn't hurt me." Niels walked over to sit in a chair as Lucifer asked, "Because they're false?" Carlos walked over and sat close by with Dude to listen in. Niels said, "No, they're absolutely true, but irrelevant. After all, I am the best, and it's not illegal to demand nothing but the best from those who get to work with me." Chloe replied, "Well, thee allegations are serious enough to hurt your career, make sponsors drop you, open you up to lawsuits." Niels chuckled, "The worse the reputation, the better. Let it scare off those losers who can't cut it. No, I have no reason to want Diane dead."

Lucifer whispered to Chloe, "Detective, would you like to use your newly acquired charms on this lovely chap?" Carlos rolled his eyes after hearing that. Chloe sighed, "Yes, I would. I just don't want to run salt in your wound." Lucifer replied, "Well, obviously I'd love you to rub something else, but we're learning to share, aren't we?" Chloe nodded and walked up to Niels, and asked, "Niels, what do you desire?" Niels answered, "Frankly, for this to be over with so I can go back to my photoshoot." Lucifer whispered to Chloe, "Oh, say truly desire." So Chloe tried again, but Niels asked, "Is she having a stroke?" Carlos chuckled quietly to himself, along with Dude, as Lucifer said, "I don't understand. Unless this means that you've lost it and I've got it again. Well, step aside, Detective. Niels, what do you truly desire?" But Niels just got confused, "Is this the way you people solve crimes?" Carlos chuckled and stepped forward, "OK, Dad. I can take it from here. Hey, Niels. Don't worry about them. Listen, you are going to tell me where you were the night Diane was killed."

Niels gave his alibi and the trio, along with Dude, left the opera house and went back to LAPD. Chloe made some calls to verify Niels' alibi and Lucifer and Carlos were sitting at Chloe's desk, Dude sitting in Carlos' lap and he whispered, "This whole case has been so boring. Can we go do something more exciting?" Carlos whispered, "No, Dude. Just suck it up and deal with it." Chloe walked over and said, "Hey, Lucifer, Carlos. So Niels' alibi checked out." Lucifer sighed, "Oh, so arsehole yes, murderer no." "I did tell him to tell me the truth," Carlos said. Chloe nodded, "Well, there's another thing. Remember Mario, Diane's vocal coach? Well, he called asking for an autograph." "Oh," Lucifer replied. "Right. No problem." Lucifer reached for a note pad and started to sign it, but Chloe stopped him, "No. Not your autograph, mine. Turns out he's a Hot Tub High School fan. Well, you see what that means, yes?" "That he has excellent taste in movies?" Lucifer suggested. Chloe shook her head, "No, Lucifer, he wasn't entrance by my mojo. He was starstruck. That's why it never worked when I tried it on Niels. I've never had mojo." "Finally," Carlos commented. "Someone is getting smart about this." Lucifer scoffed, "It worked on me. I felt it. Look, try it again. Go on, look at me." Chloe sighed, but asked, "What do you desire?" Lucifer felt the pull, "I want this to stop. I can't bloody believe this. I've never been more upset to be right."

Carlos then said, "Chloe, try it on me. I will be able to tell if you have it by the pull. Even if it never works on me to begin with." Chloe sighed, but asked, "Carlos, what do you desire?" Carlos shrugged, "Nothing. There was no pull." "But," Lucifer argued. "How? This doesn't make any sense." Chloe sighed, "Listen, Lucifer, I'm sorry you're going through this, but we are gonna figure this out together. As a team. Everything's gonna be OK, all right? I promise." "I do have a question," Carlos said. "What is Hot Tub High School?" "I was thinking that as well," Dude whispered. Lucifer smirked, "Oh, we are going to have a movie night tonight. The Detective can join too. Since it's her movie." Chloe sighed.

The next morning, Chloe got a call about a new murder, so she, Lucifer, and Carlos, along with Dude, go to the crime scene. They find the victim tied up exactly like the previous victim, which Chloe notes, "This scene's a carbon copy of Diane's." Ella was taking pictures of the victim and said, "Yeah. So is the body. Same injection mark, same binding technique, same cause of death." "And no B&E," Chloe added. "Feels like a Hell loop," Lucifer commented. Carlos shuddered at the thought of a Hell loop. Chloe said, "We're dealing with a serial killer. The flowers that we thought were Diane's. I mean, this is his signature." Ella sighed, "I should have known. The first crime scene was so clean. It was too clean. It was so meticulously staged." Chloe replied, "Don't beat yourself up, Ella. It's not gonna do any good. Who knows? Maybe he made a mistake this time." Ella said, "Yeah, I thought he had, too, when I found this on her clothes, but dead end. Glitter's just an occupational hazard for Madison." "Oh, no," Lucifer replied. "She was a stripper." Carlos turned to Lucifer, "Dad, no she wasn't. Her clothing is too conservative for that." "Carlos is right," Ella agreed. "She was a elementary school teacher. All the killer left behind was stuff he wanted us to find." "Right," Chloe said. "Well, white Stargazer lilies are pretty rare, so we can call local retailers, have them let us know of any sales in the last 24 hours. We're looking for opportunity, victim connections. We'll build a profile. This killer's MO is extremely unique." "Slashing vocal cords," Ella said. "Why would anybody do that?" Carlos suggested. "Maybe the killer wanted to take away their voice?" "No," Lucifer disagreed. "He wants to take away their power."

They went back to LAPD to get evidence together and put together a list of flower retailers, which Carlos took full charge of thanks to his computer skills, with some help from his powers. Lucifer was standing next to Carlos in the conference room and asked, "Will this take much longer?" Carlos sighed, "Dad, chill out. Even with my powers, this can take some time." He was typing away as Dude said, "You know, once I have the killer's scent, I could track him for you guys." Lucifer smiled, "We may just take you up on that offer, Dude. But first we need to figure out who the killer is." "Done," Carlos said as he showed Lucifer the computer screen. "Here's a list of every flower retailer in LA that sells those lilies. Mainly those who sold within the last day. Some even messenger me and confirmed they did. Let's go show Chloe."

Chloe was with Ella in the lab as she said, "OK, so my friend at the FBI got a couple hits off of ViCAP. Olivia Sacks, murdered in Phoenix, last year, 27, same MO." Chloe showed Ella a photo of the crime scene and Ella commented, "Same signature." Chloe held up another photo, "This is Joy Goodman, 32. She was reported missing three years ago, but her body surfaced in San Antonio last summer." "He dumped it?" Ella asked. "So slashed vocal cords, but no lilies found with the body." Chloe nodded, "That's why is was hard to connect the dots, too many differences between the two scenes, too much distance, too much time." Ella looked at Chloe, "Now he has struck twice in the same city." "Yep," Chloe replied. "And he's picking up the pace. His cooling off period is shrinking." "We're gonna catch him, Decker," Ella reassured. Chloe then asked, "Ella, why are you so optimistic all of a sudden?" Ella shrugged, "Well, I talked to Pete. Yeah, and he said to stop focusing on what I got wrong and instead focus on what I can still get right. I can still help, Chloe. I can still help catch this killer before he hurts anybody else." Chloe smiled, "I'm so glad you found a good guy, Ella." Ella smirked, "Yeah, me too. It's just really nice to have somebody in your corner, you know? I don't know, he just makes me feel less powerless."

Lucifer and Carlos walked in, with Dude at their feet. Carlos handed Chloe the list, "I collected a list of flower retailers that sell those lilies and have sold them within a 24 hour period." Chloe took the list and said, "Thank you, Carlos. Let's go follow up, shall we? Lucifer, I could really use your help out there." Lucifer smirked, "How can I refuse?" He opened the door for Chloe and he along with Carlos and Dude walked out after Chloe to go to each of the shops on the list.

"Are we done yet?" Dude whined as they arrived to another shop. Carlos shushed Dude, "No talking in public, Dude." "I must say, I agree with the mutt," Lucifer said as he opened the door to another flower shop. "How many more of these to go? I'm starting to think our killer grows the flowers himself." Chloe replied, "Well, this is the second to last shop on the list Carlos made, so fingers crossed. They walked up to the owner and Chloe asked, "Excuse me, Danilo? I'm Detective Decker. You messaged about a bouquet of lilies you sold yesterday." Danilo nodded, "Yeah, I messaged you. But it's my grandma who sold them." "Great," Chloe replied. "Can we speak with her?" Danilo sighed, "She doesn't really speak English." Chloe smirked, "Oh. Well, that's not a problem. My wonderful partner here speaks every language." Lucifer nodded and started to speak in Tagalog to Danilo, who immediately replied back. "Impressive," Carlos muttered. Danilo said, "But fair warning, she doesn't like cops. She's pretty mad that I called you guys."

Chloe smiled, "Also, not a problem. My partner is not a cop." Lucifer shook his head, "No." Chloe continued, "He has many connections, he can grant favors, and obviously is very charming. He's like my very own Swiss Army knife. Oh, and his son is here with him." Carlos waved his hand to Danilo. Chloe asked, "Lucifer, would you please speak to the lady?" Lucifer smirked, "Well, after a buildup like that, how could I refuse?" He walked over to the grandma and started to speak to her in Tagalog to her and started a conversation with her. Danilo started to pulled out a gold glitter ribbon to put on the flowers and Carlos noticed, "Chloe, look. Gold glitter." Chloe nodded and asked, "Excuse me, do you use that ribbon on every bouquet?" Danilo nodded, "Yep. Grandma insists on it." Carlos whispered, "Dad. Come here." Lucifer obeyed and walked over to them and Chloe asked, "Do you remember the golden glitter that Ella found at the crime scene? Look at the ribbon. Has to be our guy." "Right," Lucifer replied. "Well, the lilies were bought by a middle aged man. Unfortunately he paid in cash, but my new friend, Jovita, remembers the time he came in, and that she saw him leave in an Uber." "Uber," Chloe said. "Great. Carlos, I am going to need your computer skills again to track his ride." Carlos nodded, "Absolutely."

Over at Lux, Amenadiel was sitting next to Maze watching the club goers. Maze was drinking shot after shot, "Twenty seven!" Amenadiel chuckled, "I'm surprised you're keeping track." Maze shrugged, "Humans count sheep, I count shots." Amenadiel asked, "And how many exactly before you tell me what yesterday was all about?" Maze shook her head, "Kind of trying to keep my mind off things here." Amenadiel sighed, "Maze, if this is about…" Maze interrupted, "This isn't about Eve. God, why does everyone keep thinking that?" Amenadiel replied, "Actually, I was going to say your mother." "Oh," Maze said. "Well, I guess it is about her, only because it was her stupid idea to have soulless offspring, making it her stupid fault that I am doomed to be alone forever." "Eternal torture," Amenadiel commented. Maze scoffed, "I see the irony. Trust me." Amenadiel asked, "So, yesterday, you were, what? Trying to rekindle what we had?" Maze sighed, "Everyone's rejected me, Amenadiel. But I was the one who rejected you. So, I thought maybe that was a mistake. Maybe only an angel could love a soulless demon." Amenadiel replied, "You didn't reject me. You went to find your own path. And you did. You did. And you've come such a long way, Maze. Grown so much." Maze scoffed, "Apparently not enough. Ever heard of a demon getting a soul?" Amenadiel shrugged, "I can't say that I have. But no one ever heard of an angel and a human having a baby before. And that's happened twice now. Or of the Devil falling in love. I don't know if a soul is what you need to feel whole, but I do know this. If anyone is going to find what they're looking for, it's you, Mazikeen." A tear slid down Maze's cheek. She wiped it off and leaned into Amenadiel and said, "I'll still kick your ass, though." Amenadiel smirked, "I know."

Thanks to Carlos, they tracked the Uber ride to where the person riding in the Uber was located. They got on the elevator and arrived on the floor. They saw a child riding away on a tricycle and Lucifer muttered, "Well, that bodes well." "I agree," Dude muttered. Carlos then said, "According to the tracking results, we're looking for a Les Klumpsky." "Gesundheit," Lucifer replied. "Sorry, it's just an unfortunate name." Carlos continued, "Well, his Uber profile lists Unit 507 as his home." "Good job, Carlos," Chloe said. "And you too, Lucifer. We wouldn't have gotten this without you." Lucifer sighed, "I see what you're doing, Detective, and you can stop. You don't need to flatter me. I know you're trying to help, but I think this may be something I need to sort out on my own. That is what I desire."

They found Unit 507 as Chloe got a notification on her phone, "We got the warrant. Go ahead. Let's get this bastard." Lucifer kicked down the door and Chloe pulled out her gun and flashlight. They searched the entire unit and Chloe said, "All clear." They found a table full of injection needles and photos of different woman, one in particular. "This could be his next victim," Carlos commented. Lucifer found a receipt, "And a receipt for flowers. Purchased just a few hours ago." Chloe sighed, "He's gonna strike again. Soon." Chloe pulled out her phone her phone and took photos, "OK, we have to ID this woman soon, so I'm going to run this photo through facial recognition, but it's a long shot. Is there anything useful over there?" Lucifer shook his head, "Nothing. This monster's robing people of their lives, and there's nothing I can do." Chloe sighed, "Lucifer, you don't have to do this on your own. We're a team, you know? Including your son." Lucifer nodded, then turned to Carlos and said, "We may need that mirror of yours." Carlos nodded as Chloe got a text, "It's Ella. They're here?" "They?" Lucifer asked as Carlos was trying to pull the mirror out of his jacket.

"We're here!" Ella shouted from the doorway, and she was with Pete. Carlos pulled his hand away from his jacket as he couldn't use the mirror in front of them. Ella and Pete were dressed like Star Trek characters as Ella explained, "I'm so sorry, we came straight from the convention." She pulled off her Vulcan ears and did the same for Pete, who said, "Uh, if there's anything I can do to help, um…" Dude was sniffing Pete, who was a little weirded out that there was a dog there sniffing him. Carlos motioned for Dude to come to him while Chloe said, "Great, yes. We're on the clock, so I'll take any help I can get. Our killer is attacking women in their homes." Lucifer showed them the photo, "And we think this might be his next victim." Chloe continued, "So if we're gonna get to her before he does, we have to figure out where she lives. So just scour this place for any clues you can find, OK? Let's go." Chloe, Ella, and Pete all gout flashlights out and searched the apartment, while Carlos whispered to Lucifer, "I'm going to use the mirror to see who this woman is and where she is. Just give me some time." Lucifer nodded and went to search the apartment. Dude was scratching Carlos, but Carlos muttered, "Not now, Dude." as he got the mirror out.

Ella and Pete found a room full of film negatives and they got magnifying glasses out to search them as Ella said, "I am so, so sorry for the weirdest, darkest date ever." Pete chuckled, "Are you kidding me? We're trying to save a life here. This is…" "Wait a second," Ella interrupted as she looked at a particular film negative. Pete came over and saw what she saw and they both shouted, "I think we found something." Chloe ran in and asked, "What'd you find?" "Check it out," Ella showed Chloe the film negative as Lucifer ran in. They saw a photo of the woman from the other picture and Ella said, "Chloe, I think this is his next victim. Look at the wallpaper." "And the carpet," Pete added. "Does it ring a bell?" Lucifer realized, "She lives in this apartment building." Carlos ran in and whispered to Lucifer, "I got it. The woman lives here, on the 9th floor. She's there right now." Chloe heard this and said, "Lucifer, let's go." She, Lucifer, and Carlos ran out of the room to get to the elevator, Dude following after them.

They arrived on the ninth floor and Lucifer said, "I'll take this way. Chloe, you take the other way. Carlos, use that mirror to identify which room exactly and let us know." "And I'll try to find the scent," Dude said as he sniffed the ground. Carlos nodded and asked the mirror while Chloe went down one hallway and Lucifer went down another.

Lucifer ran down a hallway and saw that Unit 903 was open. Lucifer walked in and saw that is was dark as he looked around. He suddenly felt a stab in his neck by a needle. He turned to see Les standing there with the needle, "Gotcha." Lucifer grabbed Les by the neck and hoisted him up in the air, "How does it feel to be powerless?" But then Lucifer was struggling to breathe and let Les go and dropped to the ground. Les chuckled, "Vocal cords are always the first thing to seize up. Don't feel bad. Most would've dropped already. You're clearly very strong. I never was. That's why they never listened. They have to listen now."

Carlos saw this on his mirror and his eyes glowed red as he shouted, "Chloe! Lucifer's found the killer! And he's in trouble." "And I found the scent," Dude added. "Follow me!" Dude ran down the hallway and Carlos put the mirror back into his jacket and ran after Dude, Chloe catching up to them.

Les dragged Lucifer over and leaned him up against a wall. Lucifer looked over weakly and saw the woman they were looking for tied up. He heard Chloe shout his name and Les gave Lucifer the shush finger. He then stood up and grabbed a knife and hid behind a wall.

Dude ran to the open door and barked. Carlos and Chloe caught up to him and Chloe saw Lucifer lying there and she ran up to him and knelt next to him, "Lucifer. What happened? Are you OK?" Carlos walked into the room, being cautious, and said, "The killer drugged him. See, he can't talk. The killer is still here." Lucifer looked behind Carlos and saw the killer walking up behind him. But luckily Dude was still standing at the door and shouted, "Carlos, behind you!" Carlos turned and dodged the knife swing that Les tried to do. Carlos' eyes glowed red and he commanded, "Drop the knife!" Les felt his body obey Carlos' command as the boy ran up and held Les by the throat. Carlos growled, "How dare you attack my father! You will pay for what you did to him, and to those you've killed." Carlos felt his anger rise as his red eyes glowed brighter and his hair illusion spell was starting to fade and his white hair was starting to show. Chloe pulled out her gun and aimed it at Les and said, "Carlos, enough. We got him. I'm calling for back up now." Carlos took some deep breathes then threw Les to a wall to weaken him. Carlos walked over and said, "You are going to sit there and not move until the police arrive." Les felt his body obey as he sat there in pain. He walked over to Lucifer and pulled out Mal's potion and whispered, "Open up." Lucifer opened his mouth and Carlos let a couple drops go into Lucifer's mouth. Carlos walked over and did the same for the woman who was tied up and helped her get free.

The police showed up and arrested Les. Carlos made sure his hair illusion spell as back in place as Ella and Pete walked over to where he, Lucifer, and Chloe were standing. Dude was nestled at his feet, looking at Pete weirdly. Chloe said to everyone, "He admitted to all four murders." "Coward," Lucifer said. Chloe sighed, "Pete, I'm really sorry you had to see this." Pete shrugged, "I just wish I didn't have to write about him." "The killer?" Ella asked. Pete explained, "My editor has already come up with a catchy nickname for him. Apparently after your vocal cords have been cut, you're still able to whisper, so she wants to call him the Whisper Killer." Lucifer scoffed, "Certainly more sinister than Les Klumpsky." Pete continued, "I just hate contributing to the kind of BS that feeds these guys' egos." Ella reassured, "Hey, you know what? This is your piece. You wrote this however you want. You got this. Hey, Decker, will you sign off on these evidence logs?" Chloe nodded, "Of course." "Thanks," Ella replied as the two girls walked off to the other police officers.

Pete then turned to Lucifer and Carlos, while Dude stood in front of Carlos and growled a little. Pete said, "Your dog doesn't seem to like me very much. And same with you two. It's all good. I don't want you to think I'm needy. It's just, Ella really likes you guys. And I like her. In a very different way, obviously, you know. OK, well, what I'm trying to say is I would like it if we could get along. So if I did anything wrong, just tell me." Lucifer argued, "Wrong? On the contrary, it appears that you're doing everything right, at least, when it comes to Miss Lopez." Pete nodded, "I guess we made a pretty good team today." "Well, there's that," Lucifer replied. "And the fact that you enjoy sharing, which boggles the mind. Besides, it appears that you empower each other." "Yeah," Pete said. "It's kind of scary." "Scary?" Lucifer asked. "Yeah," Pete replied. "Because, like, you ever get the feeling you're not good enough for someone?" Lucifer scoffed while Carlos muttered, "I used to." Pete said, "OK, I guess a guy like you wouldn't. But for me, I'm terrified. But I just figured, deciding if I'm good enough or not, that's not up to me. I mean, that's up to her. So, all I can do is open up and let her in, and then she can judge for herself. Right?" "Right," Lucifer agreed. Pete nodded and walked off, with Carlos muttering, "There is still something weird about him though." Dude nodded in agreement.

Over at Linda's house, Linda put Charlie to bed and told Amenadiel, "OK, fingers crossed he sleeps through the night, again. Um, there's lasagna leftovers in the fridge if you get peckish." "Nice," Amenadiel chuckled, "Thank you." Linda replied, "No, thank you. Don't you miss cocktails? Grown-ups? Actual conversation? Cocktails?" Amenadiel said, "I was just drinking with Maze, so I've had enough booze for the next several months." Linda chuckled, "I know what you mean. How is Maze? I know she's been going through a lot." Amenadiel said, "She picked a fight with me for no reason. And she kissed me. We almost had sex, I think." "You what?" Linda asked. Amenadiel sighed, "You know Maze. She thought she needed to fight." "Or a different F word," Linda replied. Amenadiel nodded, "It turns out she just needed someone to talk to." Linda smiled, "Well, you're such a good friend. Such a good dad. And a good uncle. You, sir, have got this caretaker thing down." Amenadiel then said, "You know what I've been thinking? Maybe it's OK that I don't really have much of a life outside of Charlie right now. He really needs me, and being a dad, it's the only thing I need. Heck, even Lucifer is doing great as a dad to Carlos. And that's not unhealthy. Is it?" Linda shook her head, " course not. By all means, enjoy this phase while it lasts." Amenadiel was confused, "While it lasts?" Linda chuckled, "No, I just mean if you and I do a good job, Charlie's gonna need us less and less every day, you know? And before you know it, he'll be Carlos' age, ready to head out into the world on his own. OK, I'm off. Have a good night! Thank you." Linda left and Amenadiel was deep in thought about what she said.

Over at Lux, Lucifer returned with Carlos and Dude in tow. Lucifer turned to Carlos, "Now, why don't you two head up to the guest suite and call it a night? It's pretty late." "Yeah," Carlos said. "I could use the rest." "Same," Dude agreed. "I definitely got all my walking in for one day." Lucifer chuckled, "Indeed. Now, let's head up and call it a night, shall we?" Lucifer turned to the elevator to walk to it, but Carlos said, "Ah, Dad." Lucifer stopped and turned to Carlos and asked, "Yes, what is it?" Carlos sighed, "I'm sorry that I almost lost control again back at that place. I just saw you lying there like that and…" Lucifer walked over and pulled Carlos into a hug and said, "It's alright, Carlos. You were just trying to protect me. You just wanted to save someone you care for. And that can have our emotions all over the place. Believe me, I know." Carlos chuckled as he pulled away, "Yeah, I guess. But do you think this case is over and done with?" Lucifer was confused, "Why do you ask?" Carlos sighed, "Something just still feels off about it. I was watching when they got the confession from that guy. And it felt off to me. I don't know." Lucifer nodded, "Well, if there is something off, we'll figure it out. But for now, let's head upstairs." They all walked over to the elevator and got on.

Carlos and Dude got off on the guest level and Carlos turned to Dude while pulling off his ring to get his white hair back and said, "OK, I know earlier at that place you were trying to tell me something. What was it?" Dude sighed, "I agree with you that something feels off. But it's with that Pete guy." "I agree," Carlos said. "He seems nice and cherry, but I felt something odd from him. Something not right." "Yeah," Dude replied. "And that smell I got off of him. I smelled it before." "What is it?" Carlos asked. Dude stared into Carlos' eyes, "He smelled like those lilies that were at all of the crime scenes."

Lucifer entered the penthouse and saw Chloe sitting at a table looking over evidence about the Whisper Killer case. "Detective." Chloe looked up, "Oh, hi." "What are you doing here?" Lucifer asked. Chloe answered, "I'm just going over this case. There's something about it that's bothering me. It's probably nothing, but you know me, just gotta make sure." "Yes," Lucifer noted. "Carlos just said something similar about being off. So maybe you and him are on to something. But just to be clear, I wasn't asking what you were doing, just why you were doing it here. Not that I'm complaining. This desk has never looked so good." Chloe chuckled, "Well, I thought that maybe this could be our new normal. I mean, if you like it." Lucifer smirked, "Well, you work and I drink, what's not to like about that? With the occasional Carlos thrown in here and there. Especially if you take a break every once in a while. It's a lovely evening outside." He walked over and got out his whiskey bottle and two glasses.

Chloe took him up on that offer and they enjoyed a drink outside on the balcony. Chloe then said, "Because you're vulnerable around me, I sometimes forget how strong you are. How powerful." Lucifer sighed, "Less and less, as you're well aware." Chloe continued, "Feeling human, feeling weak, having to rely on other people, it must be so hard, so scary for you." Lucifer scoffed, "I suppose what I call powerlessness is what everyone else calls a Tuesday." Chloe then said, "Well, look at Carlos. He came from the opposite direction. He started his life feeling weak and powerless before his power came to him." Lucifer realized Chloe had a point, "Yes, That Isle that Carlos grew up on kept his celestial side buried until he had enough time out of it to gain his power. So he gets what I've been going through." Chloe sighed, "Lucifer, I understand why you're so upset. You lost your mojo. Of course it's a bad thing. But I just wonder if it could also be a good thing." Lucifer was confused, "Now you're just spewing nonsense." Chloe explained, "I've been thinking, and the fact that I can mojo you, maybe it means that I've just put a tiny dent in the giant wall that you've erected around yourself. I think, perhaps, for the first time ever, you're starting to open up to me, to let me in." Lucifer realized, "Quite right. I think I may have dropped my guard." Chloe leaned up and kissed Lucifer and said, "I'm gonna go freshen up. I'll be right back."

Chloe went inside and Lucifer stood and finished his drink. He heard the elevator doors ding and Lucifer said, "Carlos, did you need something else?" He turned and saw Dan standing there with his hands in his jacket. Lucifer sighed, "Oh. Dearie me. Still suffering with a bout of the old trotskies, are we?" Dan then pulled out a gun and pointed it at Lucifer, who scoffed, "I was only joking, Daniel." But Lucifer noticed the panicked look on Dan's face. Chloe stepped out of the bedroom and said, "Dan? What are you doing?" Dan cried, "I'm sorry, I have to." Chloe shouted, "No!' But Dan pulled the trigger and shot Lucifer in the chest, the Devil falling to the ground due to the impact. "Lucifer!" Chloe cried out.
