Some time had passed since the musical incident and it was the end of August. Lucifer had told Amenadiel what God told him and they were coming back together to Lux. Lucifer told Carlos to watch over God, which Carlos reluctantly agreed to. Lucifer and Amenadiel arrived and started to walk down the stairs. Lucifer stopped Amenadiel, "Are you positive you're ready?" Amenadiel nodded, "Yeah." They started walking again, but Lucifer stopped again, "And you won't back down, no matter what nefarious mind games he tries to play, because we need to present…." "A united front," Amenadiel finished. "I know. Don't worry, Lucy, we both agree Dad needs to go home." They got to the bottom of the stairs and looked around the club. Lucifer said, "I told Carlos to wait with Dad right here." Lucifer saw the bartender and walked over to her, "Hello. Have you seen a tall gentleman? With my son perhaps?" The bartender answered, "Your son is with that gentleman back here behind the bar." Lucifer groaned, "Carlos."

Carlos popped his head up from under the bar and Lucifer said, "Carlos, why are you back there?" Carlos answered, "Grandfather wanted to help with repairs that I was doing, even though I was doing technical repairs so I'm helping him with physical repairs. Right, Grandfather?" God's head popped up and Lucifer asked, "Dad, what are you doing?" God stood up, "Just making myself useful. You know, tightening up fittings, replacing washers. Don't want a flood on our hands. I saw Carlos working on the security system while he was watching over me and I asked if I could help with other repairs." Carlos shrugged, "I saw no harm. I have been helping out to make sure he doesn't hurt himself. Apparently there are things to this that I didn't even know about, and I'm the one who builds things."

Amenadiel sighed, "Dad, we need to speak to you about something very serious. Lucifer tells me that your powers have been acting up." God shrugged, "Well, I've had a glitchy moment or two adjusting to the mortal plane. But all is well. I mean, take a look around. Not a musical interlude in sight. Carlos, pass me that 3/8/socket wrench." Carlos did so and Lucifer sighed, "Carlos, why can't you just command him to go home?" Carlos sighed, "I told you, Dad. Grandfather is literally God. The most powerful being ever." Lucifer scoffed, "But you told me that you commanded Hades to touch a lamp. And you can command me and all the other celestials." Carlos sighed, "Because Hades isn't in full god mode since he doesn't run his underworld anymore. And he wasn't holding his ember which holds most of his powers now. Unless he goes back to full strength, I can command him. And the celestials aren't God. Unless Grandfather becomes more mortal or something, there's nothing I can do. Look, I'll show you. Grandfather, hand me that wrench." God chuckled, "I'm using it right now." Carlos said, "See?"

Lucifer looked over at Amenadiel, who said, "What? Dad said he was fine." Lucifer argued, "The creator of the universe glitching is the literal opposite of fine. Dad! What are you still doing here anyway? You've had your granddad time with Charlie and now Carlos. Shouldn't you be off somewhere until, I don't know, Charlie's First Communion, at absolute earliest? Maybe even Carlos' birthday if I'm generous?" God turned to Carlos, "January, correct?" Carlos nodded, "Yes, as you are all knowing and all." God turned to Lucifer, "I told you. I'm here to help." Lucifer sighed, "I don't need your help, Dad. Not with the plumbing, not with the Feng shui of the penthouse, not with the soda dispenser that started miraculously pumping Pinot Noir! Just take a rest. It must be the seventh day somewhere." His phone buzzed and he pulled it out, "Oh, and some of us have now got to go to work. So, since Amenadiel has proven himself once again to be completely useless, you and I will have to discuss this later." God nodded, "I look forward to it, son. And while I'm waiting, I think I'll tighten up your wobbly dancing pole. Carlos can help me." But Lucifer said, "No, Carlos is coming with me. Carlos only has a few more days here before he has to return to Auradon to start his senior year so I am making the most of it. Come on, Carlos." Carlos put down the tools, "Sorry, Grandfather. You are getting better at my trust of you, though." He then whistled loudly, and Dude came running from one of the couches. Carlos picked him up and said, "Let's go."

Meanwhile, Chloe had to go pick Trixie up from school due to an incident and Chloe said while driving, "Didn't expect to end up here, did you? But actions have consequences. One minute you're breaking the rules, and the next, you're in a police cruiser headed downtown. What were you thinking? Stealing my handcuffs? Using official police equipment to lock a defenseless child to a lunch table?" Trixie explained, "Todd Drexhage pushed a first grader into a trash can. Again! Mom, I was just doing what you do, locking up the bad guys." Chloe sighed, "OK, locking up the bad guys is my job. Your job is learning. At school. Which you won't be doing today because you've been suspended." Trixie rolled her eyes and Chloe asked, "Excuse me, could you pretend for one minute to be upset about this?" Trixie replied, "I'm being brave, Mom. Like you are. Heck, even like Carlos. I'm sorry I made you leave work and get stuck with me all day." Chloe sighed, "Trixie, I am never stuck with you. OK? But I can't leave work today, and neither can your dad." "Can't I hang out with Lucifer and Carlos?" Trixie asked. Chloe shook her head, "No, Lucifer has to work as well. And Carlos has to head back home in a few days to start his school year, as they start later than here. You started your year earlier, and so far, you've had a rough start." Trixie sighed, "Where am I going?"

Chloe took her to Linda's house and thanked Linda, "Thank you so much for doing this." Linda shrugged, "Oh, well, she's potty trained and has never once tried to rip my earrings out, so how much trouble could she be?" Chloe chuckled, "Thank you. Yes." Chloe left and Linda said, "This will be fun." Trixie smiled.

At LAPD, Lucifer was sitting at Chloe's desk texting while Carlos was sitting in a chair next to him with Dude in his lap. "I'm so bored," Dude whispered. They looked up and saw Chloe walking towards them and Lucifer said, "You're late. You're never late. Was it something I said or did or didn't say or do?" Chloe shook her head, "No. All good here. I'm dealing with family stuff." Lucifer sighed, "Ugh, family. Can't live with them. No longer have the tools to banish them to an alternate universe. Except you, Carlos. You are the one exception. But I do have something so I can go to your parallel Earth." Carlos replied, "Don't even think about it. I don't think bringing Grandfather to Auradon is a good idea. So, Chloe, I assume it's about Trixie. Is she OK?" Chloe sighed, "No, she's not. It's just, she's one day my sweet little pigtailed angel, the next she's…." "She's turning your seltzer into admittedly delicious but totally unnecessary wine," Lucifer guessed. "Don't I know it." "Dad," Carlos warned. "Chloe, what happened?" Chloe answered, "Trixie decided to steal my handcuffs and she used them to handcuff a boy to the lunch table at school and now she's suspended. Great way to start the new school year." Carlos chuckled, "That's a classic…..Sorry, I've seen that before, it was once done to me. I assume she had a good reason." Chloe sighed, "This boy was pushing first graders into trash cans so she wanted to lock up the bad guy as she said." Carlos hummed, "Sorry to hear that."

"No," Lucifer said, looking over and seeing God walk down the main stairs. "No, no, no. Moses wouldn't want this much face time. Ugh, sorry, Detective, I need to extinguish a burning bush." Lucifer walked over quickly, but Dan beat him to God, "Hey. Mister, uh, God. Listen, um, I'm sorry that I slept with your wife. I didn't know she was married at the time. I swear to you, I guess. Wait. Could you, uh, see Charlotte and me when we were…" God sighed, "No need to worry, Daniel. Everything is as it should be." Dan nodded as God shook his hand a little too hard, "Wow, that's uh, that's some grip. Yeah, maybe we should…Ah! You're hurting me." Suddenly Dan exploded causing everyone to panic. Then time went back a few seconds and Dan was fine again. Only Lucifer and Carlos noticed the difference, Carlos standing up and running over with Lucifer with Dude behind him. Dan went to sit down and Lucifer whispered to God, "Did you mean to do that?" "Of course I meant to put him back together," God replied. "Wait, what happened?" Dude asked. Lucifer growled, "Do not mysterious ways me right now. You just exploded a man." "Gross," Dude whispered as Carlos picked Dude up and shushed him. God shrugged, "He looks perfectly fine to me. No harm, no foul." "Grandfather," Carlos sighed. "It is definitely harm and foul, even if you fixed it." Lucifer added, "Dad, you need to leave. Staying here on Earth is endangering the people I care about and others."

Chloe then walked over, "Hey, Ella's got a body downtown. I told her we were on our way." Lucifer sighed, "Lovely. Lovely. Let me just get rid of my…" "Uh, Dad," Carlos said. "He's gone." Lucifer and Chloe saw this and Chloe said, "What? Where did he go? Did time freeze again while I wasn't looking?" Lucifer smiled, "Actually, I believe something far more miraculous may have happened. I think for the first time ever, my father might have listened to me." Carlos sighed thinking, "Why do I have a bad feeling about this?"

Chloe drove Lucifer, Carlos, and Dude over to the crime scene, which was under a bridge where a homeless community lived. Carlos felt memories of the Isle come back to him as many people there were homeless too. He even created a safe home for homeless children on the Isle before the barrier was lifted. Lucifer noticed Carlos' sad face and whispered, "Are you OK?" Carlos nodded, "Yeah, just this takes me back is all." Lucifer nodded and side hugged Carlos.

They walked up and through the crowd that built of the homeless people living there and went up to Ella. "Hey, Ella, what do we have?" Chloe asked. Ella was crouching next to the victim and said, "Hey, so, looks like your standard on the skids OD, right? Which would have been tragic enough, but look, no track marks. Just a single injection spot at the hairline, with enough bruising to indicate a struggle. I mean, whoever dumped this body here wanted it to be mistaken for an accidental death, but this right here? Totally a murder." Chloe sighed, "Well, looks like our vic put up quite the fight. Did you get an ID?" "That's the craziest part," Ella answered. "This victim was a fighter. Albert Walcott." "No way," Lucifer replied. Ella smiled, "Way! Never would've recognized him, right? I ran the prints three times to be sure. This is definitely him." "Who's Albert Walcott?" Chloe asked. Carlos nodded in agreement. Lucifer was stunned, "Albert "Almighty" Walcott. Former heavyweight champion of the world, three years running?" Ella continued, "OK. Madison Square Garden, 2015. Almighty versus the undefeated Josh Clemson. It's round five. The fight's brutal. Almighty taking hit after hit after hit." Lucifer added, "Clemson puts in a massive right hook. Almighty falls against the ropes. Everyone thinks it's over, but then…" "Bam!" Ella shouted. "Almighty hits Clemson with an uppercut like a freight train." Lucifer added, "Clemson goes down on the canvas. It's a knockout. The crowd goes wild!" "Wild!" Ella said.

Chloe stopped them, "Time out, crime scene. Right." Carlos just chuckled, "Seemed like an entertaining fight to watch, I guess." Lucifer sighed, "Sorry, but just to be clear, none of that jogged your memory?" Chloe shook her head. Ella sighed, "Chloe, he was a huge sensation. Look." She handed Chloe her phone that showed a picture of him and Chloe asked, "Are you sure this is the same guy?" Lucifer sighed, "Well, he's fallen upon tough times recently. He had a heart attack a few years ago that ended his career." Ella got her phone back, "I know, always thought he'd make a comeback. Instead, he got the final TKO. Carlos, you really have no idea?" Carlos shook his head, "Nada. Wrestling wasn't really a big deal where I'm from."

Lucifer looked over and said, "Oh, I don't bloody believe this!" Carlos looked over and saw God standing behind the yellow tape waving. Lucifer stormed over and Carlos followed behind with Dude. Lucifer said, "Of course you're still here, selfishly putting all of humanity in danger." "I had a feeling," Carlos muttered. God replied, "That's where you're wrong, Lucifer. My divine presence won't be a danger to anyone because I made myself human." Lucifer and Carlos were shocked. "What do you mean you've made yourself human?" Lucifer asked. God replied, "You were worried about my powers glitching. So I put them aside, temporarily. Check it out. Your old man is just a regular dude. But not like you, Dude." Dude nodded as Lucifer sighed, "And why would you think it's a good idea to become a regular dude?" God explained, "When we were singing together, I realized you were right." Lucifer chuckled, "Sorry, could you repeat that? I would love to capture the moment for posterity." Lucifer got out his phone, but Carlos commanded, "Dad, put the phone away."

Lucifer did, but then realized, "Wait. Carlos, you can command him now since he's human. Go on. Try it." Carlos sighed then said, "Grandfather, slap my dad's cheek." God immediately did so and winced a little, Lucifer held his cheek and said, "Why did you command that, Carlos?" Carlos smirked, "Because you told me to command him. You didn't specify what exactly." God held his hand and said, "See? It hurt me now that I don't have my strength. Look, I tried to be supportive. But how can I, if I never truly understood you? So I'm going to try. Starting right here, right now." "Here and now, at my job?" Lucifer asked. God sighed, "Well, you've clearly learned and grown a great deal in your time on Earth. I'd just like to be a party to that knowledge. Living in a human form. Solving cases. I'm here for the whole kit and kaboodle." God then closed his eyes and asked, "Lucifer are you still there with Carlos and Dude?" Carlos chuckled lightly as Lucifer said, "Sadly, yes." God opened his eyes and said, "Wow. Did you know that when humans close their eyes they can't see anything? I mean, total darkness. But you open these babies and am! Let there be light."

Chloe then walked over and Lucifer begged, "Please tell me there's some pressing break in the case we must investigate right this minute." Chloe instead said, "Well, actually, now that your dad is here, maybe he can help. So, you are all seeing and all knowing, yes? So, whodunnit?" God smiled, "For once, I actually don't know. I made myself human. Isn't that exciting?" Chloe asked, "What is he talking about?" Lucifer sighed, "Oh, he does inexplicable things from time to time. Marsupials, pomegranates, the gall bladder. Anyway, we've got a murder to solve, so what say we regroup at the precinct? Just us crime solvers." Chloe said, "Well, we can't just leave him here." "She has a point, Dad," Carlo added. Lucifer sighed, "Fine. I'll call him an Uber." Chloe shook her head and asked God, "Would you like to come back with us?" God smiled, "Oh, that sounds divine, Detective. We can do all the things you kids normally do, but together, with me." Lucifer sighed and whispered to Carlos, "Remind me that your mirror can't solve this case right away." Carlos shook his head, "Nope. Only in the present can it see, well within a couple hours in the past, but that's it." Lucifer groaned.

They went back to LAPD and were in Ella's lab. She and Carlos were looking up online evidence on Albert and thanks to Carlos' powers, he found a video of Albert fighting security at a hospital and getting arrested. They along with Lucifer and Chloe were watching, while God slurped on a slushy behind them. He got too loud with the slurping and everyone turned to look at him. God said, "Oh, I'm sorry, but it's so delicious. It's like snow, with fruit." Ella asked, "Hi. Oh, are you the new lab tech?" Lucifer sighed, "Oh, that's right, you haven't met. Miss Lopez, this is my father. Dad, Miss Lopez." "Your dad?" Ella asked. "Meaning he's your grandfather, Carlos?" Carlos nodded. Ella stood up, "Oh, my God! It's so amazing to meet you." She ran up and hugged God, who retuned it, "You too. And I just wanna thank you for all the support. It hasn't gone unnoticed." Lucifer interrupted, "Anyway, can't believe I'm saying this, but can we all just, you know, focus on the case?" God slurped some more, then cried out, "My head is on fire!" "Brain freeze, Grandfather," Carlos said. Ella added, "We've all been there, big guy. Just give it a second, it'll go away." Dude tried to hide his chuckles from his spot on the floor.

Lucifer sighed, "Hmm. Yes, so, why was Almighty breaking into a hospital?" God felt another brain freeze come on, so Carlos quietly commanded, "Put it down." God did so as Carlos answered, "Well, according to the Internet, the best guess is drugs." Ella typed into the computer, "Check out the pharmacy in the background." "Anything in his top screen?" Chloe asked. Ella nodded, "Yeah. A boatload of the drug that killed him. Some sort of synthetic stimulant. But it's weird 'cause the chemical formula doesn't fit anything in our database." Chloe nodded, "Right. Let's go to the hospital, see if anyone knows more." Lucifer and Chloe started to walk out as God said, "Oh, my." "Stop drinking it so fast!" Lucifer shouted. "It's not that," God said. "I think I need to, you know." "Oh," Lucifer realized. Carlos realized it too, "Don't make me do it. He's your dad." Lucifer sighed, "Ugh. Excuse us for just one moment, Detective. It appears I need to take my billion year old father to the little boy's room. Come on."

Over at Lux, Dan was sitting at the bar saying to himself, "It's cool, man. You're still in one piece. God is not gonna kill you. He'll just wait until you die and torture you. For all eternity. I am breathing healing energy." He opened his eyes and screamed as Maze was suddenly in front of him. Maze chuckled, "I see you're handling this celestial stuff like a champ. Lucky you don't know Carlos' secrets yet." Dan said, "Wait, what?" Maze giggled, "Nothing. You'll find out soon enough." Dan sighed, "Well, at least your psycho behavior finally makes sense. I mean, you're a demon. What's Hell like?" Maze smirked, "Oh, Hell is awesome." "Really?" Dan asked. Maze nodded, "Yeah." Dan sighed, "That's a relief." Maze continued, "The pain, torture, the screams of doomed souls, begging for the sweet release of a death that will never come. Oh, you mean for you. Yeah, Hell's gonna suck, bro. Anyway, at least you have a soul to damn. Unlike me." Maze then slapped him and said, "Thanks for the reminder, Dan."

Chloe took Lucifer, Carlos, Dude, and God to the hospital where the video of Albert came from. They found his doctor, Dr. Alice Porter, and interviewed her. "Yes," Alice confirmed. "Albert Walcott was my patient. He suffered a cardiac event in his dressing room after a match." "No," God said, making everyone turn and look at him. God shrugged, "I'm sorry, this is just so exciting. I literally no idea what she's gonna say next." Lucifer turned back to Alice, "You were saying." Alice continued, "Well, the medics had the sense to rush him to the ER, and I was able to save his life with a triple bypass." God commented, "It must have been difficult for Almighty. Losing the abilities that once made him invincible." Alice replied, "You know, I think it was, actually. He fell into a depression and stopped showing up for his appointments. In fact, the last time any of us here saw him, he was caught trying to steal drugs." "So the Internet was right," Lucifer said. Alice chuckled, "Mr. Walcott is lucky that the hospital administration didn't press charges. I guessed they figured that video going viral was punishment enough."

Chloe handed her the tox screen, "So we found this in his top screen. It's a drug our forensics team didn't recognize. Have you seen anything like that before?" Alice looked at it, "Yes, unfortunately I have. This is a drug that was developed for fighter pilots. It's colloquially known as YSD. It's very exclusive, although we have seen a couple of overdoses in the ER." Lucifer smirked, "Exclusive, you say? Can you tell me what this drug looks like?" Alice replied, "I've only seen it in person once. I found a pill in the pocket of a DOA, but as memory serves, is was small and pink." Lucifer pulled out a pill container, "Right, what shade of pink, precisely? Bubble gum, Barbie or bougainvillea?" Carlos sighed, "Dad, put that away." Lucifer complied and Alice said, "Well, I guess you could say ballet slipper." Chloe said, "Thank you, Dr. Porter, you've been very helpful."

They walked away and Lucifer pulled his pill container back out and said, "Ah! Here it is." He pulled a pill out and Chloe asked, "Where did you get that?" "At Lux, of course," Lucifer said. "And the doctor was right. It's very high end and not at all easy to come by. There's only one dealer who carries them in town at present. The Colonel. Drinks like a fish, surprisingly charming. Reminds me of a young me." Carlos sighed, "I don't want to know." Chloe said, "Let's arrange a buy, we'll see up a sting, and we'll shake down this Colonel." "A sting," God commented. "How exciting! What should I wear? How should I speak? I always thought this pip-pip-cheerio accent that you chose was a little over the top, but maybe I'll give it a try." "You won't be trying anything," Lucifer said. "We're dropping you off at the penthouse on the way. As the Spanish like to say, vaya con…you." "What about Carlos?" God asked. Carlos answered, "I will be helping Chloe with the technical stuff. It is my speciality."

After dropping God off at Lux with Dude, they set up the sting and Carlos was sitting in the surveillance van with Chloe and Dan. Carlos said, "OK, the perimeters set. My dad's all mic-ed up, and he's heading into the buy." "And your dad is the Devil," Dan added. "Who we work with. Chloe, are you sure we should send him in there alone?" Chloe shrugged, "Well, Lucifer's invincible now, so what could go wrong? Plus, we have Carlos as a back up." "Right," Dan said. "Carlos, the actual son of the Devil." Carlos sighed and shook his head.

Lucifer walked up to the abandoned airplane where the buy was to take place and a woman walked out, The Colonel. They greeted each other and the Colonel said, "Nice to see you. We were just getting to know your charming associate." They went inside and Lucifer saw God standing there, who waved at him. "Dad," God whispered.

Carlos heard this through the mic and said, "Crap." Chloe said, "Wait, how did he get there?" Carlos sighed, "I don't know. I knew I should have commanded him to stay put at Lux. Dude is not a good lookout dog." Dan looked at Carlos weirdly.

On the airplane, Lucifer said, "Excuse us a moment, just need a word with my associate." Lucifer dragged God away and whispered, "What are you doing here?" God answered, "If I truly want to understand you, I have to experience the full breadth of earthly existence. Risk, danger." Lucifer sighed, "You're about to be experiencing death if you blow our cover. I know I should of asked Carlos to command you to stay at Lux."

The Colonel walked over and handed God a drink, "To the man behind the man." Lucifer asked, "The man behind the man? Is that what you told them?" God nodded, "Well, actually, son, I'm the man behind all men. And women." "Son?" the Colonel asked. "You're Lucifer's father?" "Did I fail to mention that?" God asked. "Must have slipped my mind." "The apple fell a ways from the tree," Lucifer said. The Colonel nodded, "Lucifer, I see where you get your business acumen and your charm." Lucifer chuckled, "Oh, wrong on both counts. He just gave me Hell, but no matter. Right, here's your money. Please hand over the drugs." The Colonel shouted, "Stolz, go get the product."

Over at the surveillance van, Chloe said, "Well, that could have gone worse, huh?" "Yep," Carlos commented. "I just hope my grandfather doesn't do anything stupid." "Right," Dan said. "God's your grandfather." He turned to Chloe and asked, "How do you think this Colonel O'Bryan is doing? From a moral standpoint?" Chloe answered, "Well, she's s drug dealer and most likely a murderer, so probably not so great." Dan sighed, "Yeah, that's what I thought. Maybe military school isn't the answer. For Trixie. To get her back on the straight and narrow before she ends up…you know?" Carlos was confused at the conversation as Chloe asked, "Dan, you think our 11 year old daughter is going to Hell?" Dan shrugged, "I don't know. I mean, maybe. Aren't you afraid of it? I mean, it's all real, Chloe. God. The Devil. It's real, you know. I mean, Carlos is also living proof of that. I just wanna nudge Trixie in the right direction before it's too late." Chloe sighed, "OK, yeah, yes, uh, Hell does exist, I just don't think one school suspension is the road to ruin here." Dan countered, "You'd be surprised how easy it is to get on the wrong track."

Chloe turned to Dan, "Dan, you are a great dad. Trixie's a great kid. She's having a tween moment. I'm sure she's talking about it to Linda now." Dan nodded and turned to Carlos, "Since you're Lucifer's son and all, do you have say on who goes to Hell and who doesn't?" Carlos chuckled, "No, actually. My dad doesn't want me to take his place in Hell. He went back there months ago because some of his rebelling demons tried to sacrifice me to Hell to become the new King. Plus, I'm not from here anyway." "What does that mean?" Dan asked. Carlos sighed, "Not the time and place to tell you my whole story."

Over at Linda's house, Linda and Trixie were eating ice cream. Linda said, "That bully must have done something pretty bad for you to feel that you needed to lock him up." "That's what you're going with?" Trixie asked. "No wonder Lucifer's still in therapy. Oh, and B-T-dubs, you can't trick me into talking about my feelings." Linda put her ice cream down, "OK, well, you're very perceptive, Trixie, you know? But I don't have to trick you. See, a therapist is kind of like a detective. I can just look at your actions and figure out how you're feeling from there. Like for example, sometimes when we're really upset with someone we love, we can get scared of expressing that feeling or even admitting it to ourselves. It's called denial." Trixie sighed, "Denial makes my stomach hurt." Linda continued, "The thing is, when we try to stuff those feelings down too far, we may wind up lashing out as someone else. Someone who isn't even important to us." "Like Todd Drexhage," Trixie said. "So if I did have denial, how would I cure it?" Linda answered, "Well, if I were you, I might try to be my own detective. I'd look deep down inside my heart to find out who I was really mad at. And then I'd tell that person how I was feeling." "Even if if might hurt them?" Trixie asked. Linda nodded.

Back at the sting, God was telling the Colonel's men stories about Lucifer and Lucifer was standing next to the Colonel embarrassed. The Colonel chuckled, "You're lucky your dad is here. I was top of my class at the Academy. Earned a Silver Star in Afghanistan. And I built a small business from the ground up. You know how underrepresented women are in the upper echelons of the drug trade? I am a trailblazer. None of it's good enough for my mother. You should be grateful your dad is so supportive." Lucifer argued, "My father is about as supportive as a piece of wet cardboard. At least I show my own son that I'm supportive." The Colonel asked, "You have a kid?" Lucifer nodded, "Yes, didn't know for years, though. Just met him last year. Kid's been through a lot. He needed the support and I gave it to him, unlike my dad."

God appeared behind him and said, "I never had to support you, son. You know, he moved to LA all by himself, established a thriving nightclub. And now's he's a consultant for the LA…" "Dad!" Lucifer hissed. God chuckled, "Oh, don't be so modest, son. Look how well you're handling this sting." The Colonel pulled out her gun, "What was that?" Lucifer sighed as he and God held up their hands.

Carlos felt anger rise in him as he stood up, "OK, I'm going in there. Now." His hair illusion spell disappeared as his anger grew and he ran out toward where Lucifer and God were. Dan whispered to Chloe, "Look, look, everything is gonna be OK, right? Lucifer can flatten bullets, and God…well, he's God. And Carlos is going to help out….however he can, as I'm not exactly sure what his powers are."

The Colonel shouted, "Pack up the product. We're moving base camp now. We'll take care of these two on the way." The Colonel walked to her men as Lucifer said, "All right, Dad, time to get your powers back. God up, as it were." God replied, "Unfortunately, I don't have my powers with me right now. But I'm sure everything will turn out just fine. I expect Carlos is on his way here right now." Lucifer growled, "That's what you said about the bloody dinosaurs!" God said, "Don't you dare take that tone with me! I giveth, and I'm not afraid to taketh away." Lucifer retorted, "Oh, a lot of big words for a man who was recently leveled by a frozen beverage!"

"Quiet, you two!" The Colonel shouted. "Sorry," Lucifer said. God sighed, "Lucifer, as I stare down at that weapon, I'm feeling something entirely new." "Regretful, ridiculous, ready to go home?" Lucifer asked. God shook his head, "No, my forehead is wet, but my throat is dry, and the floor's starting to spin. Lucifer, is the floor starting to spin for you?" The Colonel walked over and said, "Shut up!" She slapped God with her gun and that got Lucifer pissed, "Yes, I'm starting to feel something as well." His eyes glowed red.

Suddenly the door was blasted open and Carlos stormed in, his eyes also glowing red, and his white hair all wild. The Colonel turned and pointed her gun at Carlos, "Who the Hell are you?" Carlos smirked, "Someone who's very pissed that you're messing with my dad and grandfather." Lucifer smiled evilly at Carlos, "Son, ready for some payback?" Carlos nodded and commanded, "You will all drop your weapons." The Colonel and her men did and Lucifer and Carlos charged in and fought all of them.

Chloe and Dan heard it through the mic and got out of the van and ran over to where Lucifer was.

God just stood there and watched his son and grandson fight off everyone in the room. Carlos had all the men pinned down in one corner, knocked out, and Lucifer held the Colonel up by the throat, all Devil faced, "No one lays hands on my father." God commanded, "Put the human, down, Samael. There's no need for violence." Lucifer stared at God with his Devil face, but put the Colonel down. Carlos ran over and asked, "Grandfather, are you OK?" God nodded as Lucifer said, "Dad, they were going to kill you." God realized, "They were, weren't they?"

Chloe and Dan ran in and Chloe asked, "Oh, Lucifer, Carlos. Are you two OK? Are they OK? What happened?" Lucifer answered, "Oh, just prevented GI Jane here from pulling a Nietzsche. Anyway, I'm sure you can take it from here. If you'll excuse us, Dad and I have an errand to attend to. Carlos, why don't you help them finish up with the tech while I take your grandfather with me? I know you can track us down." Carlos nodded, "Yeah. I'll shut down the van." Carlos ran out towards the van. Lucifer took God outside, who asked, "Where are we going?" God winced as his lip hurt and Lucifer said, "Hurts to talk with a busted lip, doesn't it? The good news is you can poof the pain away yourself because we are getting your powers back right now. Where are they?" God revealed, "I don't remember."

Lucifer took God back to the penthouse as night fell to help him remember where his powers went. He poured a drink and handed it to God, "Drink this, it'll help." He and God drank their drink, and god chugged his. Lucifer sighed, "Yes. Right, now focus. Where are your powers?" "I really don't remember," God said. "But I'm sure I left them somewhere safe." Lucifer replied, "If you don't remember where they are, how can you be sure that they're safe? What if something happens to them? What if something happens to you? Does the universe collapse into nothingness, destroying everything and everyone I care about?" God then said, "Your face, Lucifer. The one you used in Hell. In person, it really is quite intense." Lucifer stared at God, "Are you seriously about to critique the way I looked while saving your life? Because if so, pardon my resting devil face." God asked, "Why did you choose that face? Deep down, that face is how you see yourself. And I saw Carlos' eyes. They became red like yours. Does his face become like yours as well? Maybe it will if he follows in your footsteps."

Speaking of Carlos, he arrived on the balcony of the penthouse and hid his wings as he walked in. Lucifer said, "Good. Carlos, we need your help to locate his powers because he does not remember where he left them." Carlos sighed, "I had a feeling." He pulled out his mirror and God said, "That's the mirror you borrowed from your friend, right?" Carlos nodded.

But before he could ask it to find God's powers, the elevator doors opened and Trixie walked out. Lucifer put himself in front of Carlos so he could hide the mirror and use his ring to illusion his hair to hid his white hair. Lucifer looked at Trixie and asked, "What are you doing here?" Trixie smirked, "I told my dad I forgot my social studies book. He's waiting downstairs. Did I just see Carlos?" Carlos stepped out from behind his dad, having finished applying the illusion spell, and said, "Yep. Hey Trixie. You said you forgot your social studies book. But I don't remember you ever bringing it here, at all." Trixie smirked, "Perceptive. Nice." Lucifer was confused, "What?" Trixie sighed, "I lied, dummy." She then kicked Lucifer as Carlos stormed up and shouted, "Trixie! What the Hell?" Trixie answered, "I looked inside my heart like Dr. Linda said, and here's what I realized. Your hair is stupid, and your jokes are immature, and what kind of person puts a bar that big in their house?" Lucifer retorted, "My hair is majestic, and you know it." "Grown ups are supposed to be responsible," Trixie argued. "Even Carlos here is more responsible than you." "Oh, are they?" Lucifer replied. "Well, I'll show you responsibility. You're banned from the penthouse for a month." Trixie stood there confused as Carlos sighed, "Oh dear." Lucifer then said, "Come on, Dad, we are returning this miniature hooligan to her father." He turned and saw God sleeping on the piano seat. Lucifer sighed and Carlos said, "Dad, I'll take her back down. Just take some time to relax a little. Come on, Trixie." Carlos walked to the elevator and Trixie followed him.

In the elevator, Carlos asked, "OK, what is really going on with you? You wouldn't storm into the penthouse and kick my dad for no reason." Trixie didn't say anything and Carlos sighed, "Trixie, please. Just talk to me." Carlos secretly used his persuasive powers and Trixie sighed, "He made my mom sad. First he left for months, then he comes back and they make up and seem to become a couple, then all of a sudden they aren't anymore. I don't get it and now my mom is sad again. And I know your dad is the blame for it." Carlos sighed, "Trixie, my dad is…..complicated. Yeah he left, but he had to. He didn't want to leave your mom, but he had no choice. He promised her that he would return and he did. And yeah they were getting close, but my grandfather arrived and that messed with my dad a lot. Your mom understand all of this and is giving my dad the time he needs." Trixie turned to Carlos, "Aren't you upset that he left for months? Aren't you upset that he's making my mom sad?" Carlos nodded, "Yeah, I was upset. I hated seeing my dad leave. And it's sad that he has to put his relationship with your mom on hold because of my grandfather. But he left for months to protect me, to make sure that I would be safe. And I know that my grandfather can mess with my dad, a lot. So I am being understanding of all sides of this. I think you should to." Trixie sighed and leaned back against the elevator wall.

The elevator doors opened and Dan was standing there, "Did you find your social studies book?" Trixie shook her head, "It wasn't there. Carlos helped me look, but we couldn't find it." Dan looked over at Carlos, "Thank you for trying. And about what I asked earlier…." Carlos held up his hand, "Again, not the time or place. Maybe another time." Trixie was confused and Dan said, "It's personal, sweetie. Don't ask." Trixie groaned and walked away. Dan followed her out.

Over at LAPD the net day, Chloe was in the interrogation with with The Colonel, who said, "The most you have me on is possession of a drug that hasn't even been made illegal yet. You'll babe lucky to keep me overnight." Chloe said, "Well, I wouldn't worry about the possession charge, Colonel. We have you on the hook for good old fashioned murder. So Albert "Almighty" Walcott was injected with YSD against his will and seeing that you're the only YSD dealer in town, I figure it was either you that killed him or the person you sold to." The Colonel sighed, "Detective, I've done three tours in Afghanistan. I led my men through horror you can't imagine and dragged them out to the other side alive. I wasn't scared when your partner choke me unconscious, and I sure as hell am not scared of your half baked accusations."

Chloe nodded as she opened a file, "It says you are second generation military. Yeah? Your mom was a four star general, who went on to a distinguished career in the State Department. Very impressive." "What's your point?" The Colonel asked. Chloe answered, "Well, I bet she'd be real disappointed to see her legacy going up in smoke." The Colonel shrugged, "Trust me, she wouldn't care." Chloe replied, "Well, being a mother myself, I have to disagree. Children, they are a reflection os us, aren't they? But why don't we call General Mom and see what she thinks?" She pulled out her phone and dialed the number, "Maryland prefix. Still working in government service at her age. Wow. Respect. It must have been hard, growing up with such exacting standards. Getting the message every day, that to be a good soldier you always had to be strong. Did you display anger issues as a child? Uh, vigilante behavior, locking anyone to a lunch table?"

"Hang up the phone," The Colonel demanded. "I think I might know who gave Almighty the YSD." Chloe hung up and The Colonel continued, "I sold a bunch of product to a guy, Kristoff. Dude calls himself fitness guru to the stars. Trains a bunch of fighters. Maybe Almighty was one of them."

Over at Lux, Lucifer got a call from Chloe about the interview she had with The Colonel, and wanted Lucifer to join her, and Carlos if he wanted to. Carlos was going to use the mirror to find God's powers while God was resting and he wanted to spend some time with Dude so he declined. Lucifer had moved God to the bed the night before and watched over him. God was still sleeping with Lucifer left. Carlos said he would keep an eye on the old man.

In the club, Maze was talking with a random guy and said, ""You're prefect just the way you are," God says. But what is that? If he wasn't invincible, I would rip his stupid guts out." The guy was disturbed and Amenadiel came over, "Careful with this one. She's a murderous, back stabbing traitor." The guy stood up and left and Amenadiel took his seat. Maze sighed, "Look, you don't have to worry about me causing any more trouble. OK? For a second, MIchael had me believing I could be something else. Something better. But I get it now. I'll never be more than this." Amenadiel said, "Maze, we talked about this." "Shouldn't you be at a baby nerd class?" Maze asked. Amenadiel answered, "If you're referring to Science Time with Newton Newt, Linda took him. Lucy called me and asked me to come check on our father. Carlos is watching him now while he's resting. Lucy doesn't want Carlos to get overwhelmed with God." Maze chuckled, "What could he possibly need? He's literally all powerful." Amenadiel replied, "Oh, he's passed out drunk because he decided to make himself human. So I gotta go and see how Carlos is doing with him." Amenadiel turned to leave, but Maze said, "Well, maybe I could come with you. Tell him there are no hard feelings about the whole soul thing. And also say hi to the kid." Amenadiel nodded, "I think they would both appreciate that."

Carlos sat on his bed and pulled out the mirror and said, "Mirror, mirror, in my hand, where does God's powers stand?" The mirror showed him the location and Carlos said, "That's an interesting hiding spot." Dude walked over, "What's interesting?" Carlos looked up, "I found where God hid his powers. I should see if Grandfather is awake so I can tell him. Mirror, mirror, show me the penthouse." The mirror showed him the penthouse, but it was empty except for Maze and Amenadiel coming off the elevator. "Crap," Carlos said.

Amenadiel and Maze got off the elevator and Amenadiel said, "Dad, are you awake? Carlos, are you here? Maze, this is really big of you. Owning up to your mistakes shows real emotional maturity." Maze stalked over to the bedroom, "Yep. Emotional maturity. That's the point." She pulled out her demon knives and pulled the bed covers back, but God was not there. The elevator doors opened and Carlos ran out, "He's gone." Amenadiel and Maze walked over, "What?" Amenadiel saw a note on the piano and read it, "Went to find powers. X-O-X-O, Dad." Carlos groaned, "I'm so sorry. I checked on him 5 minutes ago…." Amenadiel said, "It's OK, Carlos. Your grandfather is a mysterious being. Even without his powers." Carlos then said, "I'll find him. Just call my dad and tell him to meet you at Linda's house. I'll find Grandfather and bring him there." Carlos ran out to the balcony, unfurled his wings, and disappeared. Maze said, "I'll help Carlos. Cover more ground." Maze left the penthouse while Amenadiel thought, "But Carlos has his mirror. What is Maze up to?"

Chloe and Lucifer arrived at the gym where Kristoff was and went inside. Chloe said, "Dan said he brought Trixie by for a textbook last night. Hope she wasn't too much trouble." Lucifer sighed, "The child has got a lot of fight in her. Just like her mother. Not to mention a decent chance at a football career." They arrived at Kristoff's office and Chloe knocked on the door. They heard Kristoff shout, "Busy. Go away." Chloe opened the door anyway and they walked into the office and found tons of miniature ships in the office. "Well, this is adorable," Lucifer commented. "It looks like a tiny, nautical orgy." Kristoff looked up from his desk, "No new clients at this time." Chloe showed her badge, "Detective Decker, LAPD. We need to ask you some questions about a former client. Albert "Almighty" Walcott." Kristoff sighed, "So, it's true. Damn. The kid had so much potential. Naturally gifted, always put in the work. Could have been one of the greats." Chloe replied, "Yes, you have had a lot of greats coming out of this gym lately. A lot of miracle transformations. You got some, um, revolutionary training program? Or is it the YSD?"

Lucifer's phone buzzed and Lucifer saw it was Amenadiel and he hit the end button. He saw that Amenadiel tried calling four times. "YSD?" Kristoff asked. "Never heard of it." Lucifer sighed, "Right, let's speed things along, shall we? Tell me, Kristoff, what is it you desire?" Kristoff stared into Lucifer's eyes, "I want more YSD. It was fun at first. Playing God. Controlling my clients' every calorie and deadlift. But it never stops. They call me every hour of the day and night. Show up at my home." "You got tired of babysitting them?" Lucifer asked as he ignored another one of Amenadiel's calls. Kristoff nodded, "Damn right I did. You know who doesn't need babysitting? This guy. My mini men. You glue his little feet to the deck one time, and he sails on forever without a single complaint." "Right," Chloe replied. "Absolutely, but what does any of this have to do with YSD?" Kristoff answered, "The drug helps my clients focus. Better coordination, fewer late night calls. I know it's safe because I take it myself. Steadies the hands." "Yes," Chloe replied. "But it isn't safe for everybody. Did you know about Almighty's heart condition when you gave him the YSD?" Kristoff said, "Whoa, whoa, whoa! I've never given Almighty any drug. And he wouldn't even have taken it if I had. His body was a temple. No alcohol, no coffee, not so much as an aspirin. Anyone who says otherwise is a liar." "Right," Lucifer replied. "Well, good luck with the armada."

Chloe and Lucifer left the office and Chloe said, "Hold on. What if, when Almighty broke into the hospital, he wasn't looking for drugs? Look at this." Chloe pulled up the blueprints for the hospital Albert broke into and showed it to Lucifer, "There's two doors in the hallway right where he got caught breaking in. So the one of the left is the pharmacy. The one at the end of the hall is…." "Records room," Lucifer finished. "If Almighty was digging through private medical records…" "Maybe he found something worth killing for," Chloe finished. "We have to get back to the hospital. Let's go." Lucifer's phone went off again and Lucifer saw a text from Amenadiel, "Oh! I'm afraid I won't be able to come. It appears my father has gone missing." "God has gone missing?" Chloe asked. Lucifer nodded, "No, I'm sure it'll be fine. He's probably gone to that doughnut shop he likes or decided to relive the glory days of creation at the zoo. Carlos was watching him and apparently left him alone for 5 minutes and that's when God disappeared. Carlos is looking for him now, but Amenadiel needs to see me. Anyway, you go on with the case, and I'll pop off. Once Carlos finds him, I'll give him a stern talking to. God I mean, not Carlos."

Chloe nodded and Lucifer tried to kiss her goodbye, but Chloe thought he was going for her cheek and turned it. She then saw what he meant and said, "I'm sorry, I just, I didn't know where we stood after…" "Oh," Lucifer replied. "No, I shouldn't have. I wasn't thinking. I mean…I'm the one who couldn't…." "No," Chloe said. "No, oh, my God. No, I…" She leaned in to kiss him, but Lucifer went for a hug. They awkwardly pulled away and chuckled nervously.

Maze had found God at the train station and secretly followed him in. God was walking next to the tracks when he heard someone walking behind him. He turned and saw Trixie standing there instead, "Well, what a lovely surprise." Trixie asked, "Are you running away too?"

Over at the hospital, Dr. Alice Porter was about to start a surgery procedure, "Batten down the hatches and crank up the Vivaldi, huh? It's a beautiful day to operate." The doctors and nurses around her chuckled and one nurse handed her a scalpel. She held it above the patient, held her wrist for a minute, then was about to cut in when she heard, "Dr. Porter." She looked up to the viewing room and saw Chloe standing there, "I'm about to perform an extremely delicate surgery, Detective. If you'd like to make an appointment, I'm sure my nurse can squeeze you in tomorrow." Chloe said, "Almighty didn't come here looking for drugs, did he? He came here looking for records, your records, and I saw them. They confirmed what Almighty thought all along. That you had botched other surgeries just like you botched his. He threatened to expose you. Didn't he? So you killed him with an overdose. YSD, the exact drug that you use to steady the tremor in your hands." Alice lied, "No, Albert Walcott was a deranged, deluded addict. He was! We all saw that video." Chloe continued, "I know what it's like to have people depending on you. To feel like you always have to be the strong one or else everything will fall apart. The YSD, it helps you conceal your weakness, but it's just a Band-Aid. You're not OK, Doctor. And pretending that you are is only hurting the ones that depend on you. You can still save one last patient, Doctor. All you have to do is put down the scalpel. Please put it down." Alice sighed and nodded as she put down the scalpel. Then two police officers came in and arrested her.

Meanwhile, Carlos had located God using his mirror and flew over to the train station. He landed and ran inside.

God and Trixie were sitting on a bench. Trixie pulled out a sandwich and handed half of it to God. "Oh, thank you," God said. He put his hand into his bag and pulled out a sugary dessert. He saw the look in Trixie's eyes and chuckled, "Enjoy." He handed it to her as she asked, "So, why are you running away?" God sighed, "I've been having trouble lately. I haven't been feeling like myself. Getting confused, losing things. And now my children are mad at me. Can't say I blame them. Honestly, I think I may have really messed up." Trixie nodded, 'I guess everyone makes mistakes. Even grown ups." God smiled, "What a wise observation. What about you, Trixie? What are you doing so far from home?" Trixie sighed, "I realized I'm mad at Lucifer. I've actually been mad at him for a while, but I had denial." God chuckled, "Happens to the best of us. Why are you mad at him?" Trixie answered, "Well, I though we were friends, but then he just ran off to Florida for months, and he didn't even say goodbye. He always just does whatever he wants. And now, I don't know what he's doing now. But he's making my mom really sad." God sighed, "You know I'm Lucifer's dad, right? Well, some of the ways he acts, I think they may be my fault. As a father, I tried to give my children just the right amount of free will, the right amount of responsibility, consequence. Looking back at how I raised Lucifer, I'm not sure I got it all right." Trixie replied, "I've never been a parent before, but it seems like a tough job." God chuckled, "I've never been a kid. But I bet that's not so easy either."

They didn't know that Maze was listening in. She had her demon blades out, ready to attack, but decided against it and disappeared.

Trixie sighed, "Thank you. You helped me realize some things. And help me see that what Carlos told me earlier was right." God looked at Trixie, "So, you know my grandson too? What did he tell you?" Trixie answered, "He said that Lucifer left to protect him. I guess whatever happened when Carlos was kidnapped hit Lucifer hard. Carlos said that Lucifer needed to go take care of some things so Carlos couldn't be hurt like that again. In Florida of all places. And he said that Lucifer really cares for my mom, but then you arrived and it messed with Lucifer's head. And I think I understand that my mom gets it. But she's still sad." God sighed, "My grandson is very observational like you are, Trixie. I know he has been through a lot in his life. And I know I am partially to blame. I wasn't there to get him out of his abusive home when I could have. And I wasn't there to tell him about his dad sooner. Now, I see the way Lucifer is a father to Carlos, and Lucifer has done a much better job with his child than I ever was with mine." Trixie looked up at God, "Does Carlos hate you?" God sighed, "He was frustrated at first, but then he has been giving me a chance. It takes time for him to trust someone, and I was to build that with him." Trixie then said, "I think it's time to go home." That made God realize something, "Home. Trixie. Ha! You're a genius. You just reminded me where I left something."

"Grandfather!" God and Trixie turned around and saw Carlos running toward them. "Carlos!" Trixie shouted and she stood up and ran over to him and hugged him. Carlos was surprised, "Hey, Trixie. What are you doing here? And I thought you were still upset with me after our talk." Trixie pulled back and smiled, "I can't stay mad at you." Carlos looked at God, "Grandfather, are you OK? You left and I started to freak out…." God held up a hand, "It's OK, Carlos. I left because I needed time alone. But it makes me happy that you are concerned for me. I bet your father and uncle are going crazy trying to figure out where I am." Carlos nodded, "Yeah, I bet they are. So are you two going to come with me?" Trixie and God nodded.

Over at Linda's house, Lucifer and Amenadiel were waiting for Carlos to show up with God. Lucifer sighed, "What is taking Carlos so long? Ugh, why didn't you get to Lux sooner, Amenadiel? Now you have lost Dad." Amenadiel argued, "He was gone when I arrived." Lucifer asked, "What part of united front do you not understand? If we just forced Dad to confront his issues…." Amenadiel shouted, "I'm not forcing Dad to do anything, Lucy! He's our father, all right? God Almighty! And you really should start showing him a little bit more respect." Lucifer replied, "He is an old man who has lost control of his powers, and now he's out there somewhere lost and alone and afraid until my son finds him! Wait, he's afraid."

"Who's afraid?" Lucifer and Amenadiel look over to see God standing there with Carlos standing next to him. Lucifer said, "Dad, where have you…you can't just run off like that! Do you have any idea what you put us through? You are lucky that Carlos has a mirror that can locate anybody on Earth." God sighed, "I'm starting to think I do, actually." Linda and Charlie then walked through the door and God said, "But not to worry, everything's going to be just fine." God walked over to Charlie as Carlos told Lucifer, "Dad, I'm sorry. You trusted me with watching over him, and I…." Lucifer stopped him, "Carlos, it's OK. Everyone makes mistakes. I am just glad that you found him in time." Lucifer turned to God, "I hope y fine you mean you've managed to locate the power to create and destroy the universe, that you lost because you were busy drinking a Gulpee." "I'm sorry, what?" Linda asked. Carlos then said, "I know where they are. And I believe Grandfather knows where they are too." God nodded, "Well, I have remembered where I put my powers, yes. Thank you for holding onto this for me, Charlie. I knew it would be safe with family." He took a silver toy that Charlie was holding and suddenly a while light enveloped him. Then it died down and Linda asked, "What just happened?"

Over at Lux, Dan was walking around and saw Maze lounging at one of the tables. "Yo," Dan greeted Maze. "What's up?" Maze asked. "Rough day?" Dan asked. Maze sighed, "Couldn't kill God. You?" Dan answered, "I think….God killed me. And Carlos is still a mystery to me. We're gonna need more drinks." Dan walked off to get drinks and Maze leaned back and sighed.

"Thank you for not killing me." Maze opened her eyes and saw God sitting next to her. Maze sighed, "I didn't want Trixie to see that kind of violence." God knew better, "You were following me for quite a while before Trixie showed up. And you decided to come looking for me even though Carlos has that mirror of his. Mazikeen, you chose not to kill me." Mazee groaned, "Fine. You created me to be a killer, and I can't even do that right. Perfect the way I am," my demon ass." God replied, "The funny thing about miracles, is they happen every day. Not just one, but two angels have a child with humans. The Devil can fall in love. And the Devil's son comes from a world full of fairy tales and legends. We can all learn. And we can all grow." God stood up to leave, but Maze said, "But a demon can't grow a soul." God smirked, "Can't she?" God walked away and Maze sat there with tears in her eyes as she sighed happily.

Dan was walking with two drinks when he ran into God. Dan started to brush off the liquid when he saw it was God. Dan sighed, "You know what? I slept with your wife, and I can't change that, even if I wanted to. Which I don't. So smite me. Turn me into a pillar of salt. Whatever you do. Let's just get it over with." God replied, "It's not my business who my ex-wife spent her time with, Daniel. The truth is, I wasn't the best husband, and I'm grateful she found someone to give her the love she deserved. Thank you." God held out his hand but Dan was nervous to take it, so God just chuckled and walked away.

Over at Chloe's house, she was tucking Trixie into bed when she said, "Um, Trix, there are, uh, some things that we need to talk about." Trixie replied, "It's OK, Mom. I learned today that grown-ups make mistakes too. And I forgive you." Chloe was stunned, "Oh. Well, that is nice of you to say. And, um, you're right, you know, everybody does make mistakes. But it's important that we own up to our mistakes when we make them." Trixie said, "I'm sorry for what I did at school." Chloe smiled, "I'm glad to hear you say that. You know, I'm sorry too, for my mistakes and, um, I really should have realized that you're not a little kid anymore. You're beautiful, smart…."

"I can tell you're sad, Mom," Trixie interrupted. Chloe sighed, "I know you can. Even when I'm not willing to admit it to myself. I know, honey." "Denial," Trixie said. "It happens to the best of us." Chloe chuckled, "Yes, you're right. You're so smart. You know, when you were younger, I tried to protect you, to shield you from difficult feelings, and situations. But I think now, maybe, the best thing that I can do for you is to let you in and, um, and admit that Mom doesn't always feel so strong inside." "You're upset about Lucifer," Trixie said. "Aren't you?" Chloe sighed, "Well, the truth is things between Lucifer and me, they are a little up in the air right now." "I know," Trixie said. "Carlos talked to me when I went over to Lucifer's place yesterday. He told me that Lucifer is going through some stuff right now." Chloe sighed, "You're right. Lucifer is going through some things. But all I can do right now is be patient and just tell him my real feelings and be there for him." "And then what's going to happen?" Trixie asked. Chloe sighed and laid down next to Trixie, "I don't know. And that's a little scary. And I'm sure it's scary for you too, right? And I bet it's scary for Carlos too, since Lucifer is his dad. But here's the thing, Trix. No matter what happens, and no matter if you're 11 or 111, if the Earth gets hit by an asteroid made of rock candy and the sky starts raining down gumdrops, me and your dad will always be your parents. And we will always love you, mo matter what." "Promise?" Trixie asked. Chloe nodded, "Promise."

Over at the penthouse, Lucifer, Amenadiel, and God were sharing a drink while Carlos was sitting with Dude on the couch. God sighed, "I will miss the buzz." Lucifer said, "You're all powerful again, Dad, so can't you just buzz yourself?" Carlos sighed, "Not the point, Dad." God chuckled, "We need to talk." He sat down and Lucifer sat next to Carlos and Amenadiel sat across from God and said, "OK. Father, what is it?" "Lucifer was right," God answered. "Twice in one millennium," Lucifer commented. "Will wonders never cease?" Carlos elbowed Lucifer, "Dad, let him talk." God continued, "It's not just the music. Or the fact that I misplaced my powers. The truth is, I've been slipping for quite a while. For longer than I'd like to admit. I guess you get your denial from your father." "What denial?" Lucifer retorted. Carlos looked over at Lucifer, who said, "Kidding. Mostly." "Right," Dude commented. God sighed, "Now, let's just keep this between the four of us, for now. Shall we? Carlos, if you will."

Carlos nodded and said, "Dad, Uncle Amenadiel, Dude, what Grandfather is about to say will not leave this room." Lucifer, Amenadiel, and Dude nodded as the command took place. Amenadiel then asked, "Father, what are you saying?" God sighed, "I think it's time." "Time for what?" Lucifer asked. God answered, "Time for me to retire." Lucifer, Amenadiel, and Carlos were shocked as Dude asked, "Can you do that?" Lucifer and Amenadiel looked at each other, then back at God, who disappeared. Carlos muttered, "Well, that was unexpected."
