Months had passes since God returned to Heaven. Carlos had to go back to Auradon as his senior year was about to start. And because his senior year was his last year of high school and his classes were tough and Carlos wanted to spend time with Jane and his Auradon friends, Carlos had to split time between LA and Auradon. Carlos visited LA as often as he could, but Lucifer understood that Carlos had other priorities. Plus there really wasn't much going on in LA since God returned to Heaven.

So Lucifer just went back to what he usually did: solve cases with Chloe while trying to annoy Dan. But lately Dan hadn't been in the mood for Lucifer's quips and games, ever since he found out that Lucifer was the actual Devil. Dan was just in a funk that he couldn't get out of. And he still didn't know what Carlos' story was.

One day, Lucifer approached Dan, "You've been staring at that same file for ten minutes now. It's like watching the world's worst nature documentary. Have you lost the power of speech alongside the ability to read? Have you achieved your final form?" Dan sighed, "What am I supposed to do with that, Lucifer? How am I supposed to react?" Lucifer was surprised, "I don't follow." Dan continued, "Well, I know you're the Devil now. You come at me with these sort of funny, kind of clever insults, I give back. We go into a little insult dance, and that's a Tuesday. But now everything's changed." Lucifer groaned, "Don't be ridiculous, Daniel. Nothing's changed. I'm still the same person, charming, beloved. And also a father now. And you're still the same person too, useless, tolerated." Dan shrugged, "Hmm. Doesn't have the same effect anymore. It's like being teased by Genghis Khan or Darth Vader. Or even Cruella De Vil" Lucifer was appalled, "I'm not some bloody villain, Daniel, so don't compare me to the likes of them. Especially Carlos' mother. Oh, well, if you're going to be cruel about it. Don't be coming to me for any favors." "Don't worry," Dan replied. "I won't." Then Dan thought to himself, "Wait, what did he mean by Carlos' mother?"

Lucifer scoffed and walked over to Chloe, "Detective Douche is a real joy to be around today." Chloe sighed, "You just have to give him some time. Remember what I did when I first found out the truth?" Lucifer replied, "Yes, you ran off to Europe for a month. But it's been months, Detective. It's now January. Oh, maybe Dan could do with a vacation. Who do I know in one of those countries where they hunt American tourists for sport?" Chloe sighed, "Right. Look, I'm sorry you're hurt that you can't annoy Dan." "Why would I be hurt?" Lucifer asked. Chloe replied, "Uh, well, because it's the strange little game that you two play to show that you're friends. But he's not participating anymore. So just give him some time." Lucifer retorted, "Detective Douche can take all the time he needs, as far as I'm concerned."

Chloe said, "I think I know what's really going on. You're bored because Carlos isn't here. And you miss him. So you're trying to go on by doing your normal routine and Dan is messing with that routine. So maybe you should go visit your son." "I am fine," Lucifer said. "Carlos is busy right now. He has exams that he's studying for and he's helping plan this event for his queen friend along with Jane. I don't want to distract him. Plus, I am planning his birthday as it's in a few days. I missed celebrating with him last year due to…things, and I want it to be prefect. So for now, I just want to focus on what's going on here. Now, please tell me we have a case, some puzzle to solve, some criminal to bring in and punish." Chloe held up a file, "It's right here, and we do have someone to bring in, but she's already been apprehended. Extradition. A Los X banger, got caught south of the border." Lucifer groaned, "Extradition? We catch murderers, Detective. We don't carpool them." Chloe sighed, "Lucifer, we do, when we're understaffed. I know it's grunt work, but we have to…" "Grunt work, you say?" Lucifer asked. Lucifer just got an idea. A wonderful, awful idea.

Lucifer went over to Dan and showed him the file on the extradition. Dan sighed, "All right." Lucifer asked, "All right, that's it?" Dan shrugged, "Chloe has Trixie tonight, and honestly, I think a drive might be good for me. It'll give me some time to think about things. Like your son for instance. I still have no idea what's the story with him." Lucifer shrugged, "Not my place to tell."

Dan walked away and Chloe ran up to him, "Hey, Dan. Did you notice the name of the processing officer on the other end?" Dan looked at the file, "Luis Navarro." Chloe nodded, "I just wanna remind you of the last time you worked a task force together." Dan replied, "I remember. Look, you don't have to worry. Yes, we were friends, but I know what kind of cop this guy is." Chloe said, "The kind of cop who likes to cut corners, the kind of cop looking to play angles on a slippery slope to being a criminal…." Dan interrupted, "The kind of cop that I haven't seen for a very long time." Chloe sighed, "I'm sorry, I know. I'm not your mother, and I'm not even your wife anymore, but I am your friend. I know it's been a crazy time for months. I think that last voice that you need in your head right now is one like Luis'." Dan replied, "I know you're trying to look out for me, and I appreciate that, but I'm fine. I've got it all under control. Promise."

Well, for the very beginning, Dan did not have this under control. Dan drove down to meet Luis in Mexico, but at a bar. Luis informed him that there was an error in the paperwork and the extradition was to happen the next day. So Luis encouraged Dan to some drinks. Well, Dan drank too many and passed out. Dan woke up naked and next to a dead guy. The dead guy is Luis' partner and Dan finds Luis, who explains that he wanted Dan to replace the Russians helping him in LA with his side business of selling crystals to LA housewives. Luis convinces Dan to bring a box of money to the Russians in LA while he transports the Los X gang member, a woman. As Dan is transporting her back to LA, a truck t-bones them, the woman is gone along with the box of money and Los X's sprayed his car and face.

Luckily, two people from his improv class drive by and offer him a lift back to LA. Dan goes to Lucifer and tells him what happened. After some begging, Lucifer agrees to accompany Dan to the Los X's bike shop. Lucifer goes in the front and talks to the Los X's while Dan sneaks in the back to get the box back. But things go wrong and Dan gets out of there by the skin of his teeth while Lucifer holds off the gang members. He steals a bike and rides off but crashes after noticing the box leaking blood and he discovers Luis' dead partner's head in the box. Luis finds Dan and brings Dan back to his apartment and reveals the truth of his partner kept the books for Luis and betrayed Luis to the Russians so Luis killed his partner and his head was a message for the Russians. Then Luis forced Dan to go kill the Russians' bookkeeper as Luis injected Dan with a poison and has 10 hours to get the antidote or else death.

Dan went to Ella to convince her to tell him how to fake a murder. She does and Dan goes to the bookkeeper's house and tells her that he is going to fake murder her. She knocks him out and steals his car. Dan calls Amenadiel for a ride, an angel ride. Amenadiel takes him to his apartment where Maze was waiting for him and Dan tells her everything. After some laughs, Maze tells Dan that she'll set up a meet with Luis while the Russians are waiting and she'll "kill" the bookkeeper. Dan goes to meet with the Russians to tell them about the meet up. Linda is there as the meeting was at a coffee shop and luckily Dan tells Linda to slap him and throw water at him to lie to the Russians about seeing Dan casually.

For the meet up with the Russians and Luis, Dan goes to Lucifer to have the meet up at Lux. Lucifer lets Dan borrow one of Lucifer's suits. Dan hoped that Lucifer can be his back up, but Lucifer sighed, "Oh, Daniel. I never lie, and I promise you the plan is gonna work perfectly. But I'm not gonna be there. I have history with the Russians. Trust me, this won't work properly if I'm there. Daniel, I realize this is your first crime boss summit, so you'll have to take my word for it, but there won't be any actual violence. It's all about appearances, hence why I insisted on the suit. And as for backup, all you need are people who can act tough and I think I have found exactly the right guys. You've got this. All over it." Lucifer walked over to the bar to pour himself another drink. Dan sighed and looked down, but saw something glowing on the chair Lucifer was sitting in. Dan walked over and picked up a blue stone, the very stone Carlos gave Lucifer to travel to Auradon. Dan was about to ask about it, but Lucifer said, "Chop, chop. Off you go." So in a panic, Dan put the stone in his pocket and went downstairs.

The people Lucifer hired to play tough guys were Dan's improv group. Dan sighed but agreed. The Russians arrived along with Luis and things were starting to go fine at first, but then Maze brought the bookkeeper in alive so Luis could kill her, Luis called Dan by his nickname, and then Los X's barged in. That's when the shooting started. Everyone was killing each other, Dan tried and failed rot get the antidote, and Maze took a bullet for Dan and died in his arms.

Dan sobbed, "I'm so sorry. No." Lucifer then walked down the stairs, "Daniel, what did you do?" "I don't know," Dan answered. "I was just trying to help. Now I just wish to get away from all of this." Lucifer said, "Well, now you see that sometimes when you're trying to do the right thing…."

But then Dan's pocket started to glow and Dan pulled out the blue stone he pocketed. Suddenly a portal opened underneath Dan and Dan disappeared into it and the portal closed behind him. Lucifer was shocked and reached into his pocket and realized, "Carlos' stone. It's gone." "What's gone?" Maze asked as she sat up. Other people started to sit up, revealing that everything that just happened was fake. Luis asked, "Wait, where's Dan?" Lucifer sighed, "Dan's disappeared. And I can't get him back. The plan was supposed to finish here and now, but something happened that I did not expect. Carlos is going to be pissed at me."

Dan fell down through the portal and crashed into some crates as he landed. He hit his head hard and tried to sit up, but he then fell unconscious, not knowing where he was.

Hours later, Dan woke up and saw that he was not at Lux anymore. He groggily got up and looked around. He saw the crates where he landed from the fall and saw that the area he was in looked run down. He walked for a bit and saw buildings that looked run down but were making improvements with decorations and other things. There were some people walking around, but they didn't know what to make of him and avoided him. But one person, Gil, saw him and walked up to him, "Hey, man, are you OK?" Dan sighed, "Maybe. But I don't know where I am." Gil smiled, "Oh, you're on the Isle of the Lost. Are you new around here?" Dan was confused, "Isle of the what?" "Isle of the Lost," Gil explained. "Where villains are, well used, to be trapped here. Like Jafar, Evil Queen, Maleficent, although she's now a lizard. Even my dad, Gaston, has been here for years until the barrier was lifted." Dan was getting more and more confused, "Look, kid, I have no idea what is going on or who you are…." "Oh," Gil interrupted, "I'm Gil, son of Gaston. You know, the man who tried to make Belle his bride and tried to kill the Beast. Everyone knows that." "Well, I don't," Dan argued. "I don't know what this Isle of the Lost is and I'm sure those people you just told me about are fairy tale characters in books." Gil replied, "OK, I should probably take you to see Hades so that we can figure out what's going on." Dan was shocked, "Wait, Hades?" Gil nodded, "Yeah, you know, God of the Underworld, the Queen's dad. Here, I'll go get him. You wait here." Gil then ran off and Dan thought, "What is going on?" He looked over and saw a vespa, one that Gil stole from when the Core 4 came to the Isle back during the Audrey event. Dan hopped on and started it up and drove off.

Dan drove around the Isle until he came across the bridge to Auradon. Dan saw castles in the distance and thought, "Where the heck am I?" Sighing, he drove onto the bridge into Auradon.

Gil came back to the spot with Hades, but Dan was gone, "Uh, Mr. Hades sir, the guy was right here. I swear." Hades raised his hand and felt the area, "Yep, someone was here all right. Someone who is not a part of this world. I need to go to my daughter now."

Dan drove through Auradon until he came up to Auradon Prep. Dan looked at the sign, "Auradon Prep. Never heard of it. But it looks like a private school or something. Maybe I can find someone here to help me." He saw some students walking around and saw a girl, Dizzy, and approached her, "Excuse me. Can you help me?" Dizzy looked up from her phone and said, "Oh, hi. Um, who are you?" Dan sighed, "I am Dan Espinoza, LAPD, and I need to borrow your phone to call back to my precinct or to my…." "LAPD?" Dizzy asked. "I've never heard of it. Is it some sort of secret organization or something?" Dan shook his head, "No, LAPD is Los Angles Police Department. Los Angles. You know, the large city near the Pacific Ocean." Dizzy was confused, "Um, I don't know of any Los Angles or Pacific Ocean. And you don't look so good. Do you need help or something?" Dan was shocked, where the heck was he? Dan sighed, "No, I guess I'm just losing my mind. This entire day, or has it been longer than that? Anyway, this all started when Lucifer…." "Lucifer Morningstar?" Dizzy asked. "Do you mean Carlos' dad?" Dan's eyes light up, "What, you know Carlos?" Dizzy giggled, "Yeah, everyone knows Carlos De Vil. Son of Cruella De Vil, part of the Core 4, one of the first VKs to come to Auradon before the barrier was taken down…." "Wait, wait." Dan stopped Dizzy. "Did you just say Carlos De Vil? And Cruella De Vil is his mother?" Dizzy nodded, "Yep. It's common knowledge."

Dan staggered away a bit and said, "Never mind. I think I'll just go now." Dizzy for concerned, "Um, Mr. Espinoza, sir, maybe I should take you to Carlos. He might be able to help. Sir!" But Dan just hopped back on the vespa and drove away. Dizzy ran into the school to find Carlos.

Meanwhile, Mal was with Ben in his study as they were going over the notes for the even Carlos and Jane were planning for him. "It seems Carlos and Jane did a good job planning this," Ben stated. "Yeah," Mal agreed. "The dog shelter will greatly appreciate this and hopefully it will help get dogs adopted. And it gives Carlos some pre-vet work, as much as he'll appreciate that." "Speaking of Carlos," Ben said. "His birthday is in a few days. Did you tell me that Jane is planning something for him?" Mal nodded, "Yep, since it's his 18th birthday and all. Apparently she's been contacting his dad and they've been planning something for Carlos."

Suddenly Hades appeared in a burst of flames. "Dad," Mal said. "What are you doing here?" Hades sighed, "Hey, Mal. We have a problem. Someone unknown appeared on the Isle out of the blue and now he's here somewhere in Auradon. Stole the vespa Gil had and is driving around on it. And he's not from this world." Mal's eyes glowed green, "Do you need a dragon's perspective?"

Back at Auradon Prep, Carlos was getting out of his chemistry class after just finishing the final, "Man, I'm am glad that's over. That was the last final for the semester." Jane walked out with him, "I agree. Studying for that almost killed me." Carlos chuckled, "But we made it. That's all that matters. One semester down and one more to go. Then graduation." Jane gave Carlos a quick kiss and said, "Then college here we come."

"Carlos!" Carlos and Jane turned to see Dizzy running toward them. "Dizzy?" Carlos asked. "What's wrong?" Dizzy stopped to catch her breath, then said, "Um, I was walking around at the entrance of the school, when this guy who looks like has been through a lot walked up to me asking for help. He seemed really confused and didn't know where he was or anything about Auradon. He mentioned your dad and I said your name and he recognized it, but then freaked out and left before I could stop him. He said his name was Dan Espinoza." Carlos' face paled, "Dan's here? In Auradon? How?" Jane said, "Does he know about your history or Auradon at all?" Carlos shook his head, "No. He's been trying to get his head around everything to do with my dad so I didn't want to break him further until he calmed down. But it's been months and I haven't been able to tell him. I need to find him." He pulled out Evie's mirror and Dizzy asked, "Since when have you had Evie's mirror?" "Long story," Carlos said. "Mirror, mirror in my hand. Where does Dan Espinoza stand?" The mirror showed him Dan parking the vespa near a cliffside and Carlos said, "I've found him. I need to get to him and figure out what's going on and why he's here." "I'll come with you." Carlos turned to Dizzy, "Thanks, Dizzy. You've been a big help." Carlos unfurled his angel wings and Jane unfurled her fairy wings and they took off into the sky.

Dan parked the vespa next to a tree and walked toward a cliffside that looked out to the Isle. He sank to the ground, "This day is the strangest day I've even had. And now I don't know where I am. I'm losing my mind." Suddenly music started to play and Dan started to sing and dance,

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright

I'm just a little crazy

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright

I'm just a little crazy

Under my skin and into my bones

I feel insanity begin to make it home

Into my vision and through my mouth

Somebody's working me to get me all strung out

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright

I'm just a little crazy

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright

I'm just a little crazy

There goes my reason

Where's all my hope

I'm just a puppet

Pulled by strings to make me cope

I'm seeing nothing

What's all this noise

Could someone give me something

Just to get me through this boy

I said it's, it's alright, it's alright

I'm just a little crazy

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright

I'm just a little crazy

Oh crazy

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright

I'm just a little crazy

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright

I'm just a little crazy

Under my skin and into my bones

I feel insanity begin to make its home

Into my vision and through my mouth

Somebody's working me to get me all strung out

I said, it's, it's alright, it's alright

I'm just a little crazy

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright

I'm just a little crazy

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright

I'm just a little crazy

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright

I'm, just am just a little, just a little crazy oh

Dan sighed as he finished singing. Suddenly he heard a roar in the sky. He looked up and saw a giant purple dragon in the sky coming right for him. Dan screamed and tried to run back to the vespa, but the dragon blew fire to block his path. The dragon landed near him and transformed into Mal. She glared at Dan, "So, you're the person causing havoc in my kingdom." Dan stuttered, "Look, miss, dragon lady, I don't know where I am and I am just trying to get home." Mal sighed, "Well, you appeared on the Isle and now are going through Auradon like a mad man. Now, we would like to ask you some questions." "We?" Dan asked. Suddenly Hades appeared next to Mal and Dan gulped, seeing the blue fire on top of his head, "Um, you must be Hades. The guy that kid told me about." Hades chuckled, "Yep. And I know that you are not from this world. So start talking."

"Wait!" Everyone looked up to seeing Carlos and Jane flying to them and Dan sighed, "Carlos. Thank God." Carlos landed next to Dan while Jane landed in front of Mal and Hades. Dan ran over and hugged Carlos, "Finally, someone I know. Thank you so much." Carlos pried himself off of Dan, "OK, it's good to see you Dan, but what are you doing here? In Auradon?" Dan cried, "What the heck is Auradon?" "Carlos," Mal said. "You know this guy?" Carlos nodded, "Yes, he is from LA. He's a police detective that works with my dad and Chloe. How he got here, I don't know."

"Can someone please tell me what the heck is going on here?" Dan shouted. "And why is everyone here telling me about people that are fairy tale characters? And why can that girl turn into a dragon? And that your mother is Cruella De Vil?" Carlos sighed, "Dan just take a deep breath. I probably should have told you this when you found out that my dad is the actual Devil. There's stuff I should tell you but let's get you back somewhere safe so we can break everything down for you and you can tell me how you got here. OK?" Dan nodded and said, "Can you fly me? I've already had one angel flight in the past few days so two isn't a stretch for me." Carlos sighed and said, "OK. Mal, can we come back to your castle. Because I'm sure Ben would want to hear this since he's the king." Mal nodded and everyone went back to the castle.

Mal led everyone into a conference room where Ben was waiting. Dan whispered to Carlos, "That's the king? He looks young." Carlos chuckled, "That's because he is. He was crowned at 17. He's 19 now. Same with Mal." Ben walked over to them and asked, "So this is the man that came to the Isle unannounced." Before anyone could say anything, Dan kneeled and said, "Your Majesty, Sir, I humbly apologize for my actions and any harm I may have caused for your kingdom. Please just show mercy on me." Carlos sighed as Ben chuckled, "It's OK. You can stand." Carlos pulled Dan up and Carlos said, "Ben, this is Dan, he's from the same world my dad is from. But how he got here I still want to figure out." Jane then said, "Wait, Carlos, I feel something magical in his pocket." "I do as well," Mal added. Carlos held out his hand and the blue stone flew out of Dan's pocket, who asked, "What the heck? How did you do that?" Carlos shrugged, "I just called it to me. I have telekinesis and persuasion on top of my other celestial gifts." "Persuasion?" Dan asked. Carlos nodded, "Remember our little talk in the elevator after you shot my dad? I commanded you to tell me the truth then commanded you to leave after I threw you out. Need more proof? Dan, stand on one leg." Dan felt his leg raise from the ground and Dan said, "Wow. OK." Carlos sighed, "You can put it down." Dan sighed, "Can anyone just explain to me where the heck I am? And why all of you seem like fairy tale characters." Hades chuckled, "At least his mind hasn't broken yet." Mal shushed her dad as Jane said, "Of course we can. Why don't we all sit down? This could take a while."

After all the story telling was done, Dan sat there in shock, "So I'm on a parallel Earth in a kingdom called Auradon. Where fairy tales and myths and legends actually exist. I mean, Hades, the god of the underworld is sitting here. And the rest of you are the children of all those fairy tales and stuff. Carlos, you are actually the son of Cruella De Vil." Carlos nodded, "Yep. That's pretty much all of it in a nutshell." Dan continued, "And somehow your dad was summoned here for a one night stand with your mother, which resulted in you." Carlos nodded again, "Yeah, I know it sounds bizarre, but weird things can happen." Dan looked at Carlos, "I appreciate all of you telling me this. And Carlos, I understand why you waited to tell me after I found out everything about your dad. But thank you." Carlos smiled, "You're welcome. I'm just sorry that you had to find out this way. Now, tell me what happened that made you come here."

Dan started his tale and was out of breath when he finished it. Ben asked, "So the stone is how he got here. But how did he activate it? I thought only someone with magic or other sort of powers could activate it." Jane explained, "That is true, Ben, but it can also be activated if the person holding it is experiencing a strong emotion, like anger or sadness. So my guess is when Maze "died" in front of him and Mr. Morningstar confronted him, his guilt and regret became so great that the stone was activated." Dan sighed, "It is my fault Maze is dead." Carlos shook his head, "No, Dan. Maze can't die from a normal bullet. She's a demon, remember?" Dan was confused, "But the whole gunfight…" Carlos sighed, "I think my dad pulled a major revenge prank on you. In revenge for you shooting him months ago." Dan realized, "That's why? So I went through all that BS because your dad wanted to get back at me?" Carlos nodded, "Yeah, trust me, I had no idea that he would do it. I think that's why he waited until a time when I wasn't visiting or Chloe wasn't around as Chloe would have put a stop to it." Dan sat down in a chair and said, "I can't believe your dad would do that to me." Carlos looked down to Dan, "Maybe you should go and talk to my dad yourself. Besides, I need to say a few words myself."

Hades stepped forward, "I'll go with you. I have a few words for your father as well." "Dad," Mal warned. Hades chuckled, "Don't worry, Mally, I'll be nice, kind of." Mal sighed, "All right." Ben stepped forward, "Dan, know that you are welcome anytime back to Auradon if you so wish it. Just please keep it to yourself. Like Carlos and his dad has." Dan nodded, "I will. Thank you, King Ben." Carlos pulled out his mirror and Dan said, "So that's the Evil Queen's mirror? I thought it would be bigger." Carlos chuckled, "Well, according to Evie, it ain't what it used to be. But it works just fine. Mirror, mirror in my hand, where does Lucifer stand?" The mirror showed Lucifer pacing in the penthouse trying to call someone.

Suddenly Dude ran into the conference room with Carlos' phone in his mouth. He dropped it and shouted, "Carlos, your phone has been going off like crazy. Your dad's trying to call you." Dan stepped back a bit, "The dog talks." Dude looked up, "Oh, hey Dan. Wait, why are you here?" Carlos sighed, "Ya, forgot that part. Yes, Dude can talk. Thanks to a truth gummy of Mal's he accidentally ate." Mal scoffed, "It was for you, Carlos, remember?" Carlos sighed, "Yes, I know. Dude, here, I'll take my phone. Sorry, but I left it behind so that I wouldn't have it during my finals. We can't have our phones during those. Just stay here with Jane and I'll be right back." Carlos held up the blue stone and a portal opened back to LA and he, Dan, and Hades walked through it.

Lucifer was still pacing in the penthouse and Maze was sitting nearby, "Lucifer, chill out. Carlos will call you back when he can. The kid's busy." Lucifer groaned, "But the Detective has been asking where Dan is and I don't know what to tell her."

Suddenly a portal opened and Dan walked through. Lucifer turned around, "There you are. You've been missing for almost a day. You took something of mine, and I would like it back." Dan replied, "You mean that stone that fell out of your pocket. I'm sorry, man. But I don't have it right now. He does." Carlos then walked through the portal and stormed over to his dad, "What the Hell, Dad? You lost the stone I gave you, pulled some revenge prank on Dan and when he's at his lowest, gets sent to Auradon?" Lucifer replied, "I didn't know that the stone fell out of my pocket. And Dan deserved what I did to him. I spent a lot of money on this whole scheme. No one was hurt, trust me." "But somebody could have been," Carlos retorted. "Mainly Dan." Lucifer held up his phone, "I tried calling you several times but you weren't answering. Dan could have been back here much sooner." Carlos replied, "Well, I'm sorry but I was up late studying and I had finals today so checking my phone wasn't my biggest priority. At least I still found out and got Dan back here. Dad, you need to refocus your priorities." Lucifer sighed, "Look, I'm sorry. I thought I had everything under control, and I did, but this wasn't something I was expecting. I was so focused on this plan that my other priorities lacked. I'm sorry."

"Now there's a face I can remember for life." Lucifer looked up and saw Hades standing there, his hair all ablaze. Maze was startled, "What the Hell?" Hades grinned down at Maze, "You must be Maze. Heard a lot about you. Hades, Lord of the Underworld. How ya doing?" Maze looked at Hades, then chuckled, "I like your style of outfit. Fitting." Hades chuckled, then walked up to Lucifer, "Your kid is right. You need to protect that stone better. Dan here came tumbling onto the Isle. Luckily he didn't run into any of the villains still locked up there. But you need to look out for your friends better. Because now I have to up the security on the Isle in case someone not as nice as Dan comes from this world to mine. Alright?" Lucifer nodded and Carlos said, "Dad, just please don't pull something like this again. Promise me." Lucifer obeyed Carlos' command, "I won't pull a stunt like this ever again." Carlos smiled, "Good. Now, I have to head back to Auradon. I'll come back in a few days. Please, take better care of this." He handed the blue stone to Lucifer, who replied, "Yes, I will. And I am glad you're coming back. We have your birthday to celebrate." Carlos smiled, "Wouldn't miss it." Hades opened a portal and he and Carlos stepped through it and disappeared.

Maze stood up and Dan asked, "So everyone I encountered yesterday was in on what happened?" Maze shrugged, "Well, not everyone. Everyone that came to Lux last not. You should call Amenadiel. And Linda. And Ella. Definitely Chloe. Let them know you're OK. I think they were all pretty worried about how you acted yesterday." Dan looked at Maze, "I really thought you died, Maze. But Carlos informed me that a bullet like that can't kill you." Maze chuckled, "Smart kid. But you think I'd take a bullet for you? Well, not in the chest anyway." Maze walked to the elevator.

Dan stood next to the bar and Lucifer walked over, "Countless hours of meticulous planning, dozens of favors called in, so many Easter eggs from our previous adventures. Did you spot them all? Five million, four thousand, one hundred and fifty seven dollars spent. It was almost totally worth it, but what happened right at the end was my fault. I'm sorry, Daniel." Dan sighed, "This. All of this. The dog, the car wreck, I woke up yesterday morning with no clothes on, next to a dead body." Lucifer poured both of them a drink, "Daniel Espinoza, naked and afraid. Cheers." They downed their drinks, then Dan said, "I don't understand how you pulled it off, man. Even you couldn't control everything. That trip to Auradon proved that." Lucifer sighed, "Well, the hardest part was making sure the Detective wasn't involved, hence all the illegalities I knew you wouldn't wanna share with her. But Maze is right, you should call her to tell her she's alright. Or at least I will because she's been asking me about you. I mean, she would've seen through this charade right away because she's, well, a detective." "I'm a detective," Dan retorted. Lucifer continued, "After that, there was very little to control. I mean, you're very predictable, Daniel." Dan shook his head, "No. You had to have known every decision I would make. How's that even possible?" "Well," Lucifer replied. "I knew that you would never give up. At every opportunity to quit, I knew that your oafish optimism would keep you going. I suppose I realized that whenever you're given a choice, you always at least try and do the right thing. But I believe that when the stone Carlos gave me fell out of my pocket last night, your curiosity got the better of you and you pocketed it before you could question it as both of us were focused on the plan. But you still try to do the right thing."

Dan said, "Why thank you, Lucifer. It's crazy, but I think I needed this. I've been in a really weird place for a long time. And I think I'm through it now. I can't explain it. But you really helped me. Even though this was all a revenge scheme because I shot you. Carlos filled me in on that. And even the trip to Auradon helped me a lot." Lucifer sighed, "Well, this was a once in a lifetime scheme as I just promised Carlos that I will never do this again." "He used his persuasion on you, didn't he?" Dan asked. "Carlos filled me in on a lot of things." Lucifer sighed and drank more of his whiskey, Dan following suit.
