Lucifer was up on the top of a skyscraper in LA with Carlos and Rory, looking down on the city. Rory shrugged, "Yeah, OK. It's cool." Lucifer scoffed, "Cool? This is the most beautiful view in all of Los Angeles. One that only angels and very persistent pigeons get to see. Don't you agree, Carlos?" Carlos nodded, "It's a good view. I mean, it's the first city I've ever seen, so I don't really have much to compare it to."
Rory sat down on the ledge, "You didn't bring me up here to show me the view. Especially since Carlos came with us." Carlos sat down next to her, "I agree. What's up, Dad?" Lucifer sighed as he sat down next to them, "I can't get anything past either of you, can I? Once upon a time, I made your Aunt Maze mad. The following morning, I awoke to find my bed crawling with southern widows. Not the good kind. The spider kind. My whiskey gone, replaced with urine." "Gross," Carlos commented. Rory said, "I expected more of my favorite aunt." Lucifer continued, "Oh, she also did something far more heinous. She shortened all of my suits." Rory smirked, "That's more like it." "So, why would she do that?" Carlos asked. "Did you have it coming?" "Well, you tell me," Lucifer replied. "I ate the last of her Fruit Loops." They all chuckled. Lucifer then said, "All that's to say, Rory, I can't imagine what she'll do to you if you miss her wedding. Eve told me that you RSVP'd no, which is a fact she's been wise to conceal from her future wife. Carlos, you're in the clear 'cause you said yes and are brining Jane as your plus one. Eve thinks that Jane would have done something to her with that magic wand if Jane wasn't your plus one." "So then why am I here?" Carlos asked. "Please don't make me persuade her using my powers." Lucifer shook his head, "No. I thought if we both talked to your sister, the old fashioned way, she will change her mind."
Rory sighed, "Yeah, why would Maze even care? She doesn't know me yet." Lucifer replied, "You haven't given her much of a chance to get to know you. Or anyone else for that matter. Besides myself and Carlos. Now, this wedding's an opportunity to fix that." "Yeah?" Rory asked. "And how would you even introduce me?" "I'll tell people the truth," Lucifer replied. "You can't tell people I've time travelled," Rory argued. "Why not?" Lucifer asked. "I tell them I'm the Devil, it tends to go over….Well, I guess reviews are mixed at this point. But the important people already know about you." Rory sighed, "It's actually worse with people who know. They keep asking me about their fate, and I can't tell them anything. I mean, what if I say something that messes with the future?" "The future isn't set in stone," Carlos said. "Plus, you don't know everything that will happen." Rory seemed surprised that Carlos thought that way as she was worried about paradoxes and all of that, but maybe he had a point, but she kept that to herself.
Rory continued, "And besides, I don't have anything to wear, so…." Lucifer said, "Oh, well, that is unacceptable. My tailor would be personally offended if I didn't all them to help you out in the time of need. They're a total genius. Saved me after the short suiting debacle." "Actually Dad," Carlos interrupted. "Why don't I take her to see Evie? She's a fashion designer, and she would make something for Rory in a heartbeat." Lucifer asked, "Are you sure? I mean, you would have to take Rory to Auradon and…." "Auradon," Rory interrupted. "You would take me to your home? Why?" Carlos turned to her, "You're my sister. And I think you've earned this little trip. So, you want to come? I need to head over there to get Jane for the wedding anyway." Rory thought about it, then nodded. Carlos smirked, "Good. I have to head back to Lux first to pick up Dude. Then I can take you." They both stood up and Lucifer said, "Alright then. Maybe I'll stop by later to check in with you two. Maybe see how things are going in Auradon." "Ok then," Carlos said as he unfurled his wings. "Ready, sis?" Rory unfurled her wings, "Alright. Meet me at my mom's house." She took off and Carlos took off as well. Lucifer sighed, watching his two children fly off.
Over at Chloe's house, she was going over files with Amenadiel, "I was wrong, Amenadiel. So wrong. I mean, I followed my father into this job and because I believed in him, I believed in the system, but I never imagined this." Amenadiel asked, "All complaints against Reiben?" "Not just him," Chloe said. "Dozens of officers, hundreds of complaints." Amenadiel sighed, "Yeah, so much for the "one bad apple" defense, right?" Chloe replied, "And the brass signed off on all of these, and nothing happened. I should have believed you." Amenadiel said, "I'm just glad we're on the same page now, Chloe." Chloe sighed, "I'm sorry it took so long. But my father taught me that when you see injustice, you confront it, so I'm going back. To the LAPD. I wanna help you and Sonya clean this up from the inside."
"Wow," Amenadiel said. "I mean, that's great. We need all the help that we can get, but what about Lucifer? What about being God's consultant?" Chloe sighed, "Uh, the God thing is on hold for right now. Lucifer doesn't feel comfortable going to Heaven until he's patched things up with Rory. And, you know, I agree. I mean, Carlos has been helping Lucifer with that." Amenadiel replied, "He's gonna have to go up eventually, Chloe. How does he feel about you staying?" Chloe didn't reply and Amenadiel realized, "You haven't told him." Chloe argued, "Well, he's got a lot on his plate right now. I feel like it can wait. Probably till after the wedding. I don't wanna add any drama to Maze's big day." "Drama?" Amenadiel asked. "It's Maze and big feelings. What could possibly go wrong?"
Maze and Eve were at Lux going over wedding planning. Eve got off of her phone, "OK, "supervise flowers." Check. "Make sure Linda's all set to officiate." Check. "Nix your Black Sabbath additions from the playlist." Check." "Yeah, I think you're right," Maze replied. "Black Sabbath is a little too mellow for the wedding." Eve said, "OK, next step is confirming the number of guests with the caterer. You sure you don't want to invite your siblings?" Maze shook your head, "Yeah, no. You know, it's supposed to be "eat, drink and be merry." Not "eat, drink and be wary that a bunch of soulless, torture-savvy, demons are gonna ruin your wedding."
Eve chuckled, "Why do you assume that they would do that?" Maze scoffed, "Well, you've met them." Eve sighed, "Yes, I've met them. A few of them. They were awesome. Despite the whole "almost sacrificing Carlos to make him the new King of Hell" thing. They were still awesome." Maze sighed, "Yeah, in a fight. But that's all they're good for. And the ones like Dromos can't come back here after what they did. The others, they aren't good at other things." "How do you know?" Eve asked. "Because that's what they were made for," Maze said. "That's also true about you," Eve retorted. "And you, you've evolved. Maybe they can too, if you just gave them a chance. Minus Dromos, of course." Maze sighed, "We're not really the "happily ever after type," honey. Trust me." "They're your family," Eve argued. "No," Maze said. "You're my family. The only family I need. OK? Which is why I am not going to let anything or anyone ruin our wedding tomorrow."
Maze tried to pull Eve in for a kiss, but Eve looked over her shoulder. Maze turned and saw what Eve was looking at: a man had walked into Lux. "Adam," Eve said. Adam told her, "It's time to come home, babe." He walked down the stairs and Maze stood up, "So this is the first man. Guess God had to start somewhere." Adam went over to Eve, "Can we talk privately?" Eve sighed, "Yeah," Adam pulled Eve away from Maze and said, "I'm sorry, Eve. I know I haven't been giving you the attention that you deserve. And that's over now, babe. I mean, gone are the nights of me ripping whippets, staying up listening to Aerosmith bootlegs. I'm yours." Eve asked, "Did you just noticed that I was gone?" Adam shook his head, "No. I was giving you space, you know? Being the good, understanding husband that I am. I figured you'd have a little fun, and make pick up a few tricks for the bedroom, bring them home, huh? Then I heard about this wedding. I know a cry for help when I see one, so here I am. Rescue party of one. So can we go home now?"
Eve sighed, "OK, Adam, this is my home now. I have my own friends, my own place. My own kick-ass job where I make my own kick-ass money. I'm a black belt now." Adam chuckled, "Yeah, that's fun, right? Neighborhood martial arts academy. Did they give you all the belts in the rainbow?" Eve said deadpanned, "Funny." Adam replied, "That doesn't mean you know how to throw a punch. But I get it. Message is received. Come on." "What message is that exactly?" Eve asked. Adam shrugged, "Obviously you need a change, OK? So, fine. You wanna swing, we'll swing. You want a little S&M? I'm down. Threesome? I'm up for it. So long as I'm outnumbered, OK? But all you had to do was ask. You didn't have to take it this far." Eve sighed, "OK. What exactly is it you think this is? You think this is me just trying to get your attention? This is not about you, Adam. This is about me, and the fact that I fell in love with someone else."
She walked over and stood next to Maze to make her point. Maze waved at him while glaring at him. Adam chuckled, "You're in love with a demon, Eve? Come on, be serious." "You don't know her," Eve argued. Adam retorted, "I know her kind. I was married to her mother. Which, by the way, you, Maze, are a spitting image of Lilith. In more ways than one, apparently. I bet she uses all the same tricks her mom used on me, hmm? I'm not gonna let you make that same mistake, Eve, because I've been there and done that. Literally." Mae chuckled, "You wish, you first pancake of a human." Adam scoffed, "I don't wish. 'Cause your mom was hotter." Maze smirked. "You burn."
Adam turned to Eve, "You and me, we belong together, babe, huh? Husband and wife since the dawn of time." "We were never husband and wife," Eve argued. "I was made from you. I was delivered to you." Adam retorted, "Hey, don't get caught up in the fine print here." Eve replied, "It's not a detail, OK? I didn't choose you. I'm gonna choose Maze." Maze pulled her in for a kiss, while Maze also gave Adam the finger to his face.
Over at Chloe's house, Chloe was making Rory a grilled egg sandwich so that Rory wouldn't go hungry while she was in Auradon with Carlos. She set the sandwich down on the table and Rory tried to grab it, but Chloe said, "Maybe not yet. They might be too hot." But Rory took a bite anyway. "Good?" Chloe asked. Rory nodded, "Yes. This brings me back, to the future. You know what I mean." Chloe chuckled, "Yeah. It takes me back too. I mean, actually back. My dad would bring me home those sandwiches after his shift. It's a Decker family tradition. So, in the future, do I bring you home egg sandwiches after work? What? I'm just curious." Rory sighed, "But you know I can't tell you. Paradox and all, despite what Carlos believes." Chloe sighed, "I know. It's just that you mentioned I had a lot on my pate when you were growing up. And I just wonder, was it my job? Was it Lucifer? Something else? I mean, I'm not asking for specifics. Just like a teeny-tiny hint. You know, since I did the teeny-tiny thing of birthing you."
Rory replied "OK, I'll tell you this one thing. In the future, that guilt trip also never works on me." They both laughed as Rory continued, "You make choices, Mom. If I told you what they are, you wouldn't really be making them any more." Chloe sighed, "Yeah, you're right. You're right. When did you become…" But Rory, who was annoyed at a fly, unfurled her wings and used the tip of one to kill the fly on a wall. Rory sighed, "Sorry. The fly was driving me nuts." Chloe replied, "I didn't know wings could do that." "Pretty cool, huh?" Rory asked. "Yeah," Chloe replied. "So, have your wings always been that way?" Rory nodded and Chloe asked, "Wait, you said something about paradoxes and what Carlos believes. What did you mean by that?"
Before Rory could answer, Carlos showed up at the front door and entered with Dude, "Hello, Chloe. Rory, are you ready to go?" Rory nodded and said to Chloe, "Thanks for the sandwich, Mom." Carlos smiled at the interaction, and felt a little sad that he never had that. Rory noticed the sad look, but didn't say anything. She walked over to Carlos, who said, "OK, just stay by my side the whole time. OK?" He then opened a portal to Auradon and Carlos, Rory, and Dude stepped through. The portal closed behind them, leaving Chloe standing alone in her house.
Carlos, Rory, and Dude arrived in Auradon, on the cliffside that Carlos and Jane liked to frequent, which had a great view of the ocean and Auradon. "Welcome to Auradon, sis," Carlos said. Rory looked around and saw the castles in the background, "Wow. Actual castles. We really are in a fairy tale world, huh?" Carlos chuckled, "If you see it that way." Rory looked out to the sea and saw the Isle, "Is that the place you grew up?" Carlos nodded, "Yeah. It is." Dude chimed in, "Come on. Evie's place is this way." Carlos groaned, "Dude, I know how to get there." Rory looked back at the Isle and felt sad for her brother. Carlos followed Dude and Rory followed behind them.
Over at LAPD, Dan was standing near Carol's desk and said, "Wow. This is weird. Though I guess of all the people who could've taken my desk, I'm pretty happy it's you, pal." Carol obviously couldn't see him, as he took a sip out of the coffee mug he had, which was actually Dan's. Dan sighed, "Now you're drinking out of my mug? I guess someone's gotta use it, right? I mean, what are they gonna do, bury it? Put its ashes in an urn? I mean, it does say "40 Whole Years of Being Dan." But I guess you didn't read it."
Carol then got up and walked over to Ella, "Ella, you got a second?" Ella nodded and Dan sighed, "Oh, look at that cuteness." Carol said to Ella, "Quick update. I have my suit now. So, I am all ready to be your date for the wedding, and I am very excited. And this is where you say, "I'm so excited too, Carol."" He could tell that Ella seemed off, but Ella said, 'Of course I am excited!" Carol called her bluff, "Are you sure? Because every time we talk about this wedding, you look like you ate a bad oyster. Ella, listen. Hey, I get it. If you're having second thoughts about even taking me to this wedding, that's fine." Ella sighed, "Carol Corbett, I am 100% not having second thoughts about you being my wedding date. OK?" "Cool," Carol replied and he walked back to his desk.
Ella went back to her lab with a solemn look on her face. Dan followed her. Ella sighed, "I hate keeping this from him, Dan." Dan said, "Holy crap. Can you….Right. Other Dan. Frog Dan." Ella walked over to frog Dan, "Gosh, I just wish I had someone to talk to. I mean, other than a frog. Oh, no offense." "Hey," Dan said. "Ella, you can talk to me. What's wrong?" Ella actually replied, "Carol just wouldn't understand." "What?" Dan asked. "What wouldn't he understand? Are you not into him anymore? Is it the loud chewing? Damn it, I should have warned you. I knew it." Ella said to the frog, "But they can never find our that I know." "Who's they?" Dan asked. "Oh, is this family related? Is it one of your brothers?" Ella sighed, "It's just, if they….But how could I even….I mean…..world altering! But then again…..Oh, I just feel so useless." "Tell me about it," Dan agreed. "Who am I kidding? Even if you could hear me and told me what was wrong, how could I actually help you? I mean, honestly, Other Dan has a better shot than I do."
Dan left, and Ella walked over and pulled out her board on all the celestial stuff she's been investigating. About mysterious things happening all over the world, and notes about Lucifer, Amenadiel, Chloe, Dan, Maze, Linda, Charlie, Eve, and especially Carlos, as she had a lot written for him. The newest note being "Mirror?" which she heard Amenadiel mutter. Ella sighed, "I am definitely losing my mind over this. But I need answers."
At Linda's office, she was having a session with Adam, not realizing it was THE Adam, "It's normal that seeing your sex, suddenly, after a long period of time would bring up unwanted feelings." Adam sat opposite her, "Unwanted? My feelings are legit, OK? I gave that woman everything she wanted. And what did she give me? A rep as the world's number one cuckold. She cheated on me the second she met somebody new. But I took her back. Why? Because we were made for each other." "Aww, that's sweet," Linda replied. Adam said, "She doesn't think so. So she's marrying somebody else." "Your ex is engaged?" Adam nodded, "Yeah, to a woman, of all things. I mean, how's that gonna make me look? Do you think she even considered that?" Linda sighed, "Well, it sounds like she's moved on. And maybe you should too. I know that takes time. A common rule of thumb suggests a month for every year you were together." Adam calculated, "All right, so….Carry the one….How many years is a million months? Yeah, don't worry about it, OK? It's too long. Eve's getting married tomorrow."
Linda realized, "Wait, Eve? As in "Eve" Eve? Your ex is Eve? Do you mean that you're…." Adam nodded, "Yeah, I'm that Adam. I'm the guy. The guy who named all the animals. No biggie. Kind of. You know platypus? The second I saw that thing, I was like "platypus." That wasn't enough a word. This is important stuff. That's why I can't let the wedding happen." Linda shook her head, "Oh, no, I beg to differ. I'm not just saying that because I'm their officiant, which I am, by the way. Small world. I mean, what are the odds, right?" Adam stood up and walked over to her, making her realized, "Oh, I'm in trouble, aren't I?"
An hour later, Eve and Maze broke into Linda's office. Maze sighed, "Look, I enjoy breaking into people's places as much as the next girl, but I really think you're overreacting, honey." Eve tried to get into Linda's computer, "Look, she is not home. Her phone is going straight to voicemail. She is not replying to any of my texts about the marriage certificate. Even the ones I sent with that adorable Memoji. I'm telling you, something is wrong. That Memoji slays!" Maze sighed, "Yeah, well, maybe she's just using the sex toys we gave her as a thank you for agreeing to be our officiant." Eve chuckled as she continued searching the room, "We gave her a fruit basket." Maze smirked, "Exactly. So why don't we just leave the marriage certificate on her desk? And we can come back tomorrow."
Maze then smelled something, "Oh, my God, what am I sitting in that…What is that smell?" Eve smelled it as well, "Oh! That is Adam's aftershave. I knew it. I've been smelling this shit for centuries." "What?" Maze asked. "Adam was here? Why?" Eve chuckled, "Why? Because he kidnapped our officiant to stop the wedding from happening!" Maze argued, "Now, come on, he wouldn't go that far." "Oh yeah?" Eve countered. "Yeah he would. He's not used to hearing "no." Especially from a woman. Let alone two."
Maze realized Eve was right. "Oh, my God. I can't believe you were married to that bro-hole for so long." "What do you mean?" Eve asked. "It wasn't like I had a lot of options. We were, like, the only two humans on Earth for a while. And then we just got busy with the kids, you know? Cain's terrible twos were nothing to sneeze at." Maze countered, "Yeah, well, his 20,000s weren't all that hot either." Eve sighed, "It just took me some time to see Adam for what he really was. Then when I did, I left his ass in the dust, and I found you, right?" "And now he's kidnapped Linda," Maze said. Eve replied, "You can't let him get to you. Hey, all that stuff he said about Lilith, that's….You're nothing like her."
Maze huffed, "Yeah, not now. But I will be. I mean, everyone becomes their mother eventually, right? And how would you know, anyway? You've never met Lilith." Eve replied, "Well, I feel like I did. He talked about her all the time." "He did?" Maze asked. Eve nodded, "Lilith this, Lilith that." Maze got an idea, "Hey, babe. I think I know how we get Linda back. But we've gotta find him first." Eve scoffed, "Oh, trust me, we will. Mr. "I Named All the Animals" is not gonna know what hit him." Maze nodded, "Yeah, he's got a cell phone, right? So we can call my guy, he can triangulate…" "Or straight out of the Maze handbook," Eve finished. "The most efficient bounty hunter doesn't find her perp." "She makes the perp find her," Maze realized. Eve nodded, "That's right. All we have to do is just bait him with what he most wants." Maze replied, "Yeah, come on."
Over in Auradon, Carlos and Dude led Rory to Evie's house. Evie was going to move into a bigger home soon, but she still had her "starter castle" as she called it. They went up to the front door and Carlos opened it. Rory asked, "You don't knock? Just enter?" Carlos nodded, "Yeah. Evie lets me stay here during school breaks. So I'm always welcome. Come on." Dude ran inside and Rory followed him.
Carlos led her to the main room where Evie's main shop was. Evie was working on a fashion piece at the moment, she had junior helpers with her, one of them being Dizzy, and the others, who were friends of Dizzy, named Carly, Bianca, and Ana, the last one being her cousin. Doug was sitting at a table typing away at his computer. Carlos cleared his throat. Evie turned around and smiled when she saw Carlos, "Carlos! What a surprise!" She ran over and hugged him, "I thought you were spending the summer with your dad before he leaves for his new job." Carlos chuckled, "I am. But I wanted to help my sister get an outfit for a wedding we're going to tomorrow. And you're the fashion expert." The young girls all looked up, "Sister?" Carlos nodded as Evie greeted Rory, "You must be Rory. Carlos has told us all about you. Welcome to Auradon. Love the outfit. And your hair is amazing." Rory replied. "Yeah, thanks. I like your blue hair. Dyed?" Evie shook her head, "Nope. All natural. So you need an outfit for this wedding?" Rory nodded and Evie smiled, "Then you came to the right place. Let me quickly finish the piece I'm working on then we can get started."
Evie walked away as Rory whispered, "She's nice." Carlos chuckled, "Yeah, especially compared to her mother, the Evil Queen." Rory pointed to Doug, "He didn't seem surprised that I'm your sister." "That's Doug," Carlos said. "He's Evie's boyfriend. She tells him everything. Hey Doug." Doug waved, "Hey, Carlos. Oh, Dude, I have some treats for you." Dude ran over to Doug to get his treats.
Evie walked back over to them, "Follow me." She took Rory's hand and dragged her over to her stand and had Rory stand on top, "Now, let's get your measurements and we can get you in a nice dress for the wedding." Rory replied, "Actually, can you make me a leather coat to go with it? Fits my style more?" Evie nodded, "Absolutely. And looking at you, I tend to agree. You seem to have the same style that we VKs have. But I can tell you like pants rather than dresses. Me, I've always tried to get dresses into my wardrobe, as dresses have always been my specialty. Any fashion. It's my strongest suit, you could say."
Suddenly music started to play. Doug was snapping his fingers and the girls started to dance. Rory looked around, "What's going on?" Carlos sighed, "Right, there was one thing about Auradon I forgot to mention. In this world, people tend to break out in musical numbers. Just go with it." Evie walked around and started to sing with the girls backing her up,
Oh, now, I believe in lookin'

The song ended and Rory didn't know whether to clap or not. But Carlos saved her, "OK, Evie. We get it. Just make an outfit for Rory. Do your magic." Evie grinned, "Alright, then."
At LAPD, Chloe was there and found Amenadiel, "Amenadiel, hey." Amenadiel greeted, "Hey! When you said you were coming back, I didn't think you meant today." Chloe replied, "I'm not here for work. I actually want to ask you something, um, about, oh step over here." She led Amenadiel to a private area and said, "I wanted to ask you about angels. Um, their wings, specifically." "What about 'em?" Amenadiel asked. Chloe said, "I know how Lucifer's wings change according to how he's feeling about himself. So is that a thing with all angels?" Amenadiel replied, "Well, it must be. I mean, there's no reason to believe that self-actualization is the case for some but not for all. I actually went through a little bit of a wing thing myself, so….Why do you ask?"
Chloe explained, "Um, well, I just saw Rory's wings. They're weapons, Amenadiel." "All angel wings can be," Amenadiel replied. "It just depends how they're wielded." "Yeah," Chloe said. "But they were metallic, almost, and each feather was like its own precision blade." "Wow," Amenadiel replied. "They sound awesome. I wonder if Charlie's would be that cool. I mean, if he gets them. It doesn't matter either way, of course." "Of course," Chloe said. "It's just, being a cop isn't the safest job, you know? I just wonder if Rory felt like she needed to protect herself because I couldn't."
Amenadiel sighed, "Yeah. Listen, um, if what Sonya went through is any indication, then changing the system won't be easy. We won't just be fighting criminals out there. We'll be fighting some of our co-workers in here." Chloe said, "I mean, it's one thing to make myself a target, but is it fair to put my daughter through that?" Amenadiel replied, "Look, I, um, U can't tell you what to do, Chloe. But I can say that you're lucky that you have a choice at all. So may people don't have the option to just walk away from this fight." Chloe nodded, "You're right. If the place that I worked almost my entire life is part of the problem, then the least I can do is be part of the solution. Make the world a bit better for my kids." Amenadiel smiled, "Rory will have a wonderful childhood. Because she has a wonderful mother." Amenadiel walked away and Chloe kept thinking about what to do.
Over at Lux, Eve was sitting at the bar with a drink when she heard Adam approach her, "You know, I'm glad you came to your senses. A doggy always comes back to its bone." Eve turned to him, "So glad you're here." Adam shrugged, "Huh, 'cause we can be together again?" Eve smirked, "Because you are going to tell me where Linda is." Adam chuckled, "Sorry, babe. No can do." Eve replied, "We'll see about that, babe." "What?" Adam asked. "Is your little pet demon lying in wait, ready to take me down?" Even stood up, "No. Just little old me." Eve surprised Adam by kicking him in the stomach and knocking him to the ground, rendering him unconscious. Eve smirked, "And my rainbow colored belts."
Adam, later on, struggled to fit consciousness, when he heard female giggling. He heard a voice say, "Adam." It sounded like someone he knew, "Lilith?" He saw a woman walking towards him, it was Maze, disguising herself as Lilith. She smirked, "Oh, Adam. You never forget your first. Am I right?" Adam woke up, found that he was tied to a chair, and realized, "You aren't Lilith." Maze smirked, "Oh, close enough though. Her spitting image in more ways than one. Isn't this what you wanted all along?" Adam shook his head, "No. I got rid of Lilith." Maze chuckled, "Oh, you. We both know how that really went down. You had Daddy send me away because I rejected you. I couldn't love you the way you loved me. It's not what I do. So God sent you a consolation prize. Sweet, pliable Eve. A plaything for you to have dominion over, like the animals. Look at her. Go on. Say it. She could never fill my shoes. She's not even a whole person. Just a piece of you."
Eve, who was standing nearby, walked over and said, "OK, that's enough. What are you doing?" Maze walked over to him, "I'm torturing him so we can find Linda." "Yeah," Eve asked. "But who are you really torturing here though? Him or me?" "You're just the button I'm pushing," Maze explained. "OK, well, stop pushing," Eve demanded. "Use something else." "That's not how torture works, Eve," Maze replied. "This is what I do. Who I am. You want demons at your wedding? Well, this is what it looks like. What? Too much for you? Oh, right. Well, guess that's a good thing Adam showed up when he did, huh? Now you've seen the real me. You can leave my ass in the dust before it's too late."
Eve was confused, "Leave your a….Why would I…Wait. Adam. How did you find out about the wedding?" Adam answered, "Uh, I heard it from Saraqael, who heard it from Gabriel, who could have heard it from anybody because it's actually the talk of the town up in the Silver City. And as you can imagine, it's not really doing wonders for my rep, but that's, you know, neither here nor there…" "Maze," Eve asked Maze. "How did he find out?" Maze sighed, "Fine. Yeah, it was me. I sent the news hoping your idiot ex would do something about it." "I'm the idiot? Really?" Adam asked. "Everyone knows it's Adam and Eve, not Eve and some random demon." "Why would you want him to find out?" Eve asked.
"Because I can't be a mother!" Maze shouted. "That's what this is all about? The fact that I said that you would be a good mom, once?" Maze replied, "Once was all it took for me to realize you have no idea who you're marrying. I can't be a good mother, Eve. I'd just end up like her." "And what?" Eve asked. "We couldn't just talk about this like a normal couple?" "I'm not normal!" Maze shouted. "I don't do talking. I needed you to see the real me." Eve asked, "What? What is the real you? What? An evil demon that just ruins everything, and this will never work out? I can't….I can't do this anymore." "You can't do this?" Maze asked. "Yeah, I can't be the only one that believes in you," Eve replied. "I can't be the only one that believe in us. I, uh, of course we don't have to have kids, but if I'm the only one who's willing to talk about it and….and change and….compromise, then we shouldn't be together. We definitely should not be getting married."
Eve walked over to the elevator and Maze shouted, "Wait!" "What?" Eve asked. Maze said, "Well, uh, we still have to find Linda." Eve entered the elevator, "I'm sure you'll manage." Maze dried tears that were about to fall down her face, and she walked over to Adam. "Oh, boy," Adam sighed.
Over in Auradon, Carlos, Rory, and Dude were sitting outside Evie's house waiting for her to put the final touches on Rory's wedding outfit. "So," Rory said. "This place seems….interesting." Carlos chuckled, "Yeah, Auradon is an interesting place when you think about it." "I guess," Rory replied. "So can we go visit the Isle?" Carlos sighed, "Maybe another time." "Whenn was the last time you visited the Isle?" Carlos thought about it, "Here and there during senior year." "What about your mom?" Carlos tensed up, "Not for over a year. She's right where she belongs. Alone in her big house with no one for company. No one to torment." Rory could tell that Carlos really did not like his mother.
Carlos' phone then went off and he saw a text from Lucifer that he couldn't make it to Auradon just yet as Maze texted him saying there was an emergency. Rory saw it and got angry. Carlos could tell, "Rory, calm down. Just breathe. I'm sure Dad will come visit after he helps Maze." Rory growled, "He's abandoning me again. He hasn't changed at all." Carlos sighed, "Look, I'm going to head inside and ask Evie if she can finish up your outfit quickly. Then we can head back to LA and see what the problem is. Just try to calm down OK?"
Carlos went into the house and Rory took some deep breaths, then got an idea. She looked down at Dude, "You've been to the Isle, right? So where do the villains live on the Isle. Like, Cruella?" Dude answered, "The worst villains are still locked up there in the restricted section. Including Cruella. Ugh, I hate that woman." Rory grinned, "Then I just found a way to calm down. By taking out my anger on someone else. Someone who deserves it." Rory unfurled her wings and flew away. Dude panicked, "Oh no. Not good." He ran to the door but couldn't open it. Luckily, Jay just happened to be visiting Evie for the day and saw Dude pawing the front door, "Hey, Dude. I didn't know you were here. I thought you were in LA with Carlos. Is he here?" "Yes," Dude answered. "And I need to get inside to talk to him. It's important." Jay opened the door and Dude ran inside, Jay following.
Carlos was talking with Evie as Dude ran up shouting, "Carlos!" Carlos turned around, "Dude, what's wrong? Where's Rory?" "I'm so sorry," Dude said. "She asked me where the villains were on the Isle, specifically your mother, and I told her about the restricted section and she got the idea to take out her anger on someone to help her calm down. Cruella." Carlos' face paled, "She's going to see my mother and torture her? Just because she's upset?" "Even though your mom probably deserves it for what she put you through," Jay pointed out which made Evie slap him hard. "Jay!" Evie said. "That doesn't make it OK. Carlos, we need to stop her before things get out of hand. Especially if she runs into Hades. He hated it that your uncle slipped through. He won't be nice to your sister." "I'll go after her," Carlos said. "Evie, call Mal. She'll be able to help, mainly with her dad." "You can't use your powers to stop him?" Jay asked. "I can," Carlos answered. "But I'd rather not. That might anger Hades even more. Jay, stay with Evie. I'll be back soon. And watch over Dude for me." Carlos ran outside and took off into the skies towards the Isle.
Back in LA at Lucifer's penthouse, Maze still had Adam tied up and had texted Lucifer to met her there. He arrived on the balcony, "Maze, I got your text. What's the emergency? I'm supposed to drop by Auradon to see how my children are doing. Plus, I have a tux that needs fitting." Maze shuddered, "No, you don't. I need you to stop me from killing him!" She threw one of her knives at Adam, missing him barely. Lucifer turned to him, "Adam. But I thought you were dead and buried. Dust you are and blah, blah, blah. So what's he doing here? And why are you….Where's Eve? Oh, Maze. When it comes to self-sabotage, I fear you've outdone me. Does this mean my best fiend's wedding is off?" Maze told him, "He kidnapped our officiant." Lucifer walked over to Adam and asked, "Where's Dr. Linda?" "He isn't talking," Maze revealed. Lucifer said, "The wedding's off. He got what he wanted, didn't he? What are you really after?" "What," Adam replied. "You think I'm gonna tell you, huh? Make it easy for the Devil, who stole my wife twice?" Lucifer said as he got up in Adam's face, "Actually, fig leaf, that's exactly what you're going to do. Tell me, what is it you truly desire, Adam?"
Adam tried to fight it at first, but couldn't and answered, "I wanna be a better man." Lucifer pulled away, "Oh." Adam said, "No. At first, I kidnapped the doctor to sabotage the wedding, yeah. But then she helped me realize what I really need. To deal with my issues." "What issues?" Maze asked. "Well," Adam explained. "When God first made me, my role was clear. Name all the animals, avoid certain fruit and be a man. That meant, "be strong, show no weakness, and problem-solve through violence." But everything has changed since. Women are no longer an obedient piece of men. And dudes can be vulnerable. Which is scary. And wolves, they've turned into, like, 800 kinds of pets. Some with really dumb names, by the way. "Poodle?" I mean, that's why you udon't let amateurs do the jobs of professionals. Anyway, she said that my beliefs about what a man should be are actually hurting me. Apparently it's called toxic masculinity, and it's pretty common. The good news is she can cure me. She's cool. So, when I'm done with the treatment, I'll let her go."
Lucifer asked, "So you're asserting dominance over a woman in order to learn how to stop asserting dominance over women?" Maze added, "Dude, you are beyond help." Adam said, "Whoa, at least I'm trying." "You call this trying?" Lucifer retorted. "If you need therapy, you call the office, make an appointment and pay in cash. Or in kind, if she's up for it. I mean, have some decency, man." Adam sighed, "Word, man. You're making me realize I've not been going about this in the most ideal way. Classic Adan. Yeah, wokeness is hard. I gotta be better at it. And I will. I swear I didn't hurt the doctor. I can take you to her." "Thank you," Lucifer replied. "See? Even the most primitive of men can evolve. And even the most badass of demons can soften. Scary, but it's true, Maze." Lucifer cut Adam free and Maze said, "Yeah, because I've come such a long way from wrecking hell, inflicting pain, and driving everyone away." Maze started to tear up and Lucifer looked at her, "All I know is the Mazikeen I used to know wouldn't have hesitated to kill the guy." He handed back her knife, and Maze said, "After we find Linda, I'm gonna need your help with something."
Back in Auradon, Rory had landed on the Isle and people around her ran away in fear. Rory smirked and stormed right to the restricted area. She grabbed a kid and asked, "Where's Cruella De Vil?" The kid fearfully answered, "She's up at Hell Hall, in the restricted section." Rory smirked, tossing the kid away, and walked on. She saw the magical force field around the area, and used the daggers on her wings to cut a hole through it and jumped through as the hole started to repair itself. She was able to find Hell Hall pretty quickly and forcefully entered through the front door.
Cruella heard the door open and shouted, "Who's there? Is it supply day again? Good, my alcohol is running low." Rory stormed over to her as Cruella was sitting in her chair near the fireplace and tons of empty bottles and used cigarettes piled on the floor. Cruella saw Rory and shouted, "Who are you? You're not my delivery boy." Rory smirked, "I'm someone who needs to release my anger. And you're the perfect candidate." She grabbed Cruella by the neck and hoisted her up. Cruella clawed at Rory, but Rory was too strong. Rory threw her across the room and Cruella landed hard into a nearby table. Cruella screamed in pain as she felt some bones break. Rory walked toward her, "I heard you were a villain. It seems your better days are behind you. But I also heard about how you abused your own son. And you deserve to pay for what you did to him." Rory unfurled her wings and Cruella quivered in fear.
But before Rory could strike, Rory started to feel weak and she feel down to the ground. She looked over and Hades was standing there, holding up his ember, as he was using it to incapacitate Rory. Hades walked up to her, "So you're the little rat that broke through the barrier. You seem off. Like you don't belong here. In this time. That's it. You're from another time. Well, little girl, it's time you left this place and go back to where you belong. I am the warden of this place. And you're trespassing. Who are you?" Rory refused to answer, so Hades said, "Maybe forcing your soul out will make you talk."
But then he heard, "Dad, stop!" Hades turned around and saw Mal standing there with Carlos standing next to her, as once Carlos landed on the Isle, Mal had received word from Evie and raced there to make sure her dad didn't do anything stupid. Mal glared at Hades, "Let her go. Now!" "But she's an intruder!" Hades shouted. "She's my sister," Carlos revealed. Hades looked between the two and realized, "Same father. Oh that Lucifer. Future sister, I see. Very well." Hades released Rory and she gasped for breath. Carlos said, "Hades, I apologize for my sister's actions. I didn't think she would do something like this. I take full responsibility." Rory was surprised that Carlos was defending her. Hades looked at Mal, who gave him a look, and Hades sighed, "It's fine. I accept your apology. Just promise me that you get her back to her time. The longer she stays her, the higher risk of time being damaged. Sure the future isn't set in stone, but some events are meant to happen.. No matter how much you want to change them. But what events those are I don't know. Trust me, I know some Fates that know that all too well. Give me your word that you will send her back to her time." Carlos looked Hades in the eye, "I give you my word." Hades nodded, "Good. I'll visit you soon to see if you held up your end of the deal. Plus, my daughter did tell me about a certain soul wandering around LA."
Hades then left as Rory looked up at Carlos, "Carlos, I…." "Save it," Carlos interrupted. "What you did was irresponsible. You can't just go around and hurt people because you're upset." "But she deserves it!" Rory shouted. "You told me that you had a horrible childhood thanks to her. She deserves to be punished! You told me to calm down, and giving her what she deserves would have done that." Carlos sighed, "Maybe my mother deserves it, but that makes you no better than her. No better than the man our father used to be. Think about that."
They heard a groan and looked over to see Cruella trying to stand, "Ha! That's my boy. Coming to protect Mommy! I knew you cared about it. As weak as that is." Carlos walked over to her and his eyes started to glow red and Cruella backed away. Carlos said, "Yes, you're my mother, and yes, I have some care for your well being, but only because I'm not a villain like you. You should suffer for everything that you've done. But I'm not you. I won't be the one that tortures you. You sitting here alone for the rest of your life is fine with me. Goodbye, mother." Carlos walked away and pulled Rory to her feet, "We're leaving." Mal turned to Cruella and used her magic to heal her wounds and she turned and followed them.
Carlos and Rory stood outside as Mal joined them, "So I didn't think this was the way I would meet your future sister." Carlos said, "Right. Mal, this is Rory. Rory, this is my friend Mal, Queen of Auradon." Rory's eyes widened and asked, "Do I need to bow or something?" Mal chuckled, "No, it's OK. Just know that you need to keep your anger in check. Trust me, I get it. I've been there. So you're upset because of Lucifer." Rory groaned, "He abandoned his visit here. Just like he will abandon me in the future before I'm born.' Mal sighed, "Now that I can understand. My dad abandoned me too. We didn't see each other for almost 18 years. Did I hate him for it? Yes. But now that we met each other again, I decided instead of hating him forever, I try and develop a relationship with him, if he wanted one. And he did. Maybe you should do the same." Rory sighed, still angry about it. Carlos sighed, "It's getting late. Evie texted me that we can bunk at her place for the night. Then your suit will be ready and we can grab Jane and head back to LA." Rory nodded, "OK. At least I get to meet your girlfriend." They all chuckled as Mal said, "OK, I have to get back to the castle. See you later." She then transformed into a dragon and flew away. Rory was shocked and Carlos said, "Yeah, she can turn into a dragon. Come on." They unfurled their wings and flew back to Evie's house.
Back in LA, Eve was sitting in her hotel suite eating her sorrows. Lucifer came in through the balcony, "Dearie me! Did they run out of apples?" Eve sighed, "If you're here to speak for her, don't." Lucifer sat next to her, "I am not here to speak for her. Come. Come on." Lucifer pulled her into a hug. Eve asked, "What kind of person tries to wreck their own wedding?" Lucifer answered, "The kind that doesn't feel worthy of love." Eve looked up at him, "I thought you weren't here to speak for her." "I'm really not," Lucifer said. "But then I realized, II never gave you your wedding present. Come on." He stood up and Eve took his hand, "There's no wedding, but I like presents."
Lucifer led her onto the balcony and pointed down. She looked down and saw people limping around, some looked like they had large wounds on them, all of them walking around like zombies. "Um, what am I looking at?" Eve asked. "Demons from Hell," Lucifer answered. "In freshly dead bodies. Well, it's both something old and something new in something borrowed with plenty of nasty blue bits. So I'd call that a grand slam." "Wow!" Eve said. "Thank you? Very thoughtful."
"I asked him to do this!" Maze shouted from the ground below. "Whether there's a wedding tomorrow or not. I wanted my family to know that I'm proud of how I love." "I thought you had thousands of siblings," Eve pointed out. "I do," Maze replied. "Uh, most of them turned her down," Lucifer clarified. "Fresh batch of white supremacists to torture or a family wedding." Eve nodded, then said, "Sorry." "Don't be," Maze replied. "I honestly thought I'd be standing outside your balcony alone." "Must have been very hard to ask," Eve said. Maze replied, "Yeah, but I realized that I was holding on to some pretty old ideas if what I thought demons were supposed to be. Turns out some of us are the "happily ever after" kind. I mean, Squee's favorite movies is Four Weddings and a Funeral. Mainly for the funeral, but still."
Eve sighed, "Well, it's very nice to meet you all. Uh, how do you say, "I wish it was under happier circumstances" in Lilim?" Maze translated for her siblings, then looked back up at Eve, "Look, Eve, I'm so sorry. I'm just terrified of becoming my mother. And sometimes it's easier to act as though I already have, instead of fighting. But I've changed so much, and I can keep on changing. Can I ever be normal? Probably not. But I can be better. And I promise, if you give us another shot, I will never stop trying. Because I do believe in us." Eve sighed, "You know, when you try, you're actually not half bad at talking. And for the record, I never wanted you to be normal. You know, I just want you to be you. Whatever that is. I'll call the caterer." Lucifer smirked, "My best fiend's wedding is back on!" The demons cheered as Lucifer hugged Eve, "Ah, well done, you."
The next morning, over in Auradon, Carlos got up along with Dude. They went downstairs in Evie's house and found Rory sitting outside on a bench. Carlos went outside and sat next to Rory, "Morning. How did you sleep?" Rory shrugged, "OK, I guess. A lot on my mind. I'm really sorry about what happened yesterday." Carlos sighed, "It's OK. You were upset and you thought taking it out on my mother would help you feel better. It happened. Forgive, forget." Rory nodded, "Yeah, but Lucifer never came to see us last night at all." Carlos sighed to himself, knowing that Rory would not back down from this. He stood up, "Come on. Evie probably has your outfit finished. I'm going to change into mine and then we can go pick up Jane and head back to LA."
They went inside and Evie gave Rory her wedding outfit: a simple summer dress with a leather jacket to complete the look. Carlos came out wearing a red bow tie, black dress pants, and a black and white suit jacket. Dude wore a black bow tie around his neck. Rory thanked Evie and she followed Carlos and Dude to Jane's house. Carlos knocked on the door and Jane opened it, wearing a light blue dress. Carlos smiled, "Hey, Jane. You look beautiful." Jane blushed, "Thank you. You look handsome." She came outside and saw Rory standing there, "Oh, you must be Rory. I'm Jane, nice to meet you." Jane held out her hand and Rory shook it, replying, "Charmed. Nice to see my big brother has a special someone in his life. Now, Carlos, can we go now?" Carlos chuckled, "OK, let's go to the wedding."
Back in LA, everyone had started to take their seats at the venue. The wedding was going to take place outside while the reception was going to take place inside. Ella and Carol made it and they tried to sit next to Amenadiel, but he said, "Oh! I'm so sorry. I'm saving this one." "Oh, OK," Ella replied. "Yeah, no problem." They went to the row behind them and the reason Amenadiel said what he did was because Dan was sitting next to him. Dan said, "Whew! Thanks for looking out, man. So anyway, bill to head ratio, that's the only surefire way to tell a downy from a hairy woodpecker." "I had no idea you were into birding," Amenadiel replied. Dan said, "Yeah, I never was, but that's the only book I could find down there." "There are books in Hell?" Amenadiel asked. "That's nice." "Book," Dan clarified. "Singular. Field Guide to Birds of North America." "Sounds like an interesting read, though," Amenadiel said. Dan replied, "Yeah, not so much after the ten-thousandth time. But, you know, nothing's really that interesting, not even birding." "We should probably stop talking now," Amenadiel said. Dan saw people coming in, "Yeah. Uh, I'll just stand in the back, get out of everybody's way."
Dan got up and walked to the back. Ella had noticed Amenadiel talking to himself. Carol said, "You know, it's very pretty here, but is it just me, or does it smell like a three day old crime scene to you?" Ella was looking over at the guests across the aisle, who were actually demons in dead people's bodies. Amenadiel heard what Carol said and turned to him and Ella, "Can you believe they fertilized the plants last night? It's terrible timing." Ella chuckled, "Yeah, I know. We actually can believe it, because, you know, that right there is, by far, the most plausible explanation. So thanks, Amenadiel, for clarifying that." Amenadiel turned back around and Ella said while taking a sip of the champagne she was carrying, "I mean, what did you think? What, we were at some, like, hell monster wedding, attended by decaying zombies? Ha ha!"
Lucifer and Chloe were sitting with Trixie in the front row. Trixie asked, "So when are you two getting married?" Chloe chuckled nervously, "Trixie, I don't think that, not that we wouldn't." "Well, we haven't really discussed tying the knot," Lucifer added. Trixie replied, "I'm kidding, guys. I just wanted to see you squirm." "Oh," Chloe said. Lucifer smirked, "Oh, very good! You little devil."
Carlos, Jane, Dude, and Rory entered and Rory said to Carlos, "It's weird that your hair isn't white right now." Carlos chuckled, "Well, we have a few people that don't know my actual hair color. My ring helps hide it." Jane brushed her hand through his hair, "I agree with her though. White suits you." Rory then said, "You two go ahead. I'm just going to sit in the back." Carlos nodded and he took Jane and Dude up to where his family was sitting. They sat behind them and Dude jumped up and sat in an empty chair. Lucifer turned and saw them come in but seemed disappointed when only Carlos, Dude, and Jane walked up to them. "Carlos," Lucifer asked. "Why is Rory sitting back there?" Carlos sighed, "Maybe you should think about why she would be upset, Dad."
Suddenly the wedding march started, but on electric guitar. Everyone stood up and Maze appeared in a black wedding dress and Linda was accompanying her down the aisle. Linda said, "Wow. Maze, you're getting married. I never thought we'd get here." "Why?" Maze asked. "Because you got kidnapped?" "Uh, yep," Linda lied. "That's exactly why." They reached the end and took their spots on the alter.
Eve was waiting to go near the entrance when she heard a wold whistle and she turned to see Adam, "Whoa! Well, that's quite the upgrade from the old fig leaves, huh? Not that I ever had any complaint about those." "What are you doing here?" Eve asked. "Linda said I should be supportive," Adam answered. "I want the best for you, Eve. I really do. You deserve to be happy." "Thanks," Eve was surprised by Adam's words. Adam continued, "And also, I heard that you didn't have anyone to walk you down the aisle. It would be my honor if I could give you away." Eve replied, "Adam, that is…..It's very big of you." "Thanks," Adam said. "I might as well, right? It's like I'm giving away a piece of myself." They both laughed a little bit, then Eve said, "Yeah. Uh, I really appreciate that. I do, but I think I'm gonna do this one on my own. So, thanks, but I got this."
She then walked down the aisle by herself and stood next to Maze. Adam walked in and sat next to Rory. Lucifer and Chloe kept looking at each other lovingly. Same with Carlos and Jane, with Carlos thinking, "One day, hopefully, it will be me and Jane up there. I can't wait." Dude muttered, "I can't see anything." Linda then said, "Between Heaven and Hell, there's an imperfect place. Our place, here on Earth. That's where these two women met. One who sees the best in people, and one who can torture the worst out of them. But these two women, they understood each other, and together they made, in this imperfect place, something that might actually be perfect. The brides have written their own vows. Eve."
Eve said, "Maze, I know that at some point you became convince that you were unworthy of love. I look forward to spending the rest of my life proving you wrong. If recent events are any indication, then I am sure that there's going to be a lot of bumps along the way. But as I stand here today in front of our family and friends, I promise you that I will never, ever give up on us. Again. Because you, Mazikeen, you're my soul mate." Eve put a ring on Maze's hand.
Maze then said, "Eve, I just love you so fucking much." She put the ring on Eve's hand and pulled her in for a kiss. The crowd clapped and cheered. Linda shrugged,"Well, I now pronounce you wife and wife." Maze and Eve said, "We did it!" And they walked down the aisle as a married couple.
At the reception, the party was in full swing. Linda was talking with Adam, "Don't take it personally. Because Eve was created for you, it was important for her to walk down the aisle as an individual person. Just like it was important to Maze, who's been alone for so long, to walk with someone." Adam chuckled, "Oh, wow. You actually are a smart woman." Linda sighed, "Yeah. Drop the actually." Adam nodded, "Yes, ma'am. I mean, Doctor."
Amenadiel was talking with Dan, "Hey, at least the chair situation has been alleviated. Look, I know you're having a bad day. But just try and look at the silver lining." Dan chuckled, "A bad day? I'm a ghost, Amenadiel."
Ella was watching Amenadiel talk to Dan, even though to her Amenadiel was talking to himself. Carol walked over, "Ella, you gotta try this vegan cheese. Tastes just like cheese. Except not at all." Ella hummed while downing glass after glass of alcohol, "Mm-hmm. Yeah, cheese."
Carlos was standing near the DJ with Jane and Dude and Jane said, "So I heard about what happened yesterday. Wanna talk about it?" Carlos sighed, "I didn't think Rory would go that far. Don't get me wrong, my mother is a horrible person, but still….." "Carlos," Jane interrupted. "Despite Rory's anger issues, I think she did it because she cares about you. She's getting to know the brother that she didn't even know she had. You've made a connection with her. That's what's important, right?" "I guess so," Carlos said. "But I still don't know why I wasn't there for her in the future. That's a mystery that I haven't solved yet." "Remember," Jane replied. "We make our own destiny. Rory's future isn't set in stone." Carlos nodded, "Right. And now after talking with Hades, I have to make sure she gets sent back to her own time. He'll be visiting soon to make sure I've done that. And to check on another problem." He pointed to Dan, and Jane could see him talking with Amenadiel. Jane said, "Ah, the ghost. Poor thing. Do you think Hades could help him?" Carlos shrugged, "Maybe." Dude whispered, "Are there any dog treats here?"
Amenadiel said to Dan, "But at least you're not in Hell, Dan. You're here, watching your good friend get married." Dan replied, "Well, I will admit, grousing to you up here sure eats reading about grouses down there." Dan suddenly stopped taking and was staring at something. Amenadiel turned to see that Dan was staring at Trixie, who was getting some fruit punch. Dan sighed, "I take it back. This is way too hard." "Not as hard as Hell though, right?" Amenadiel asked. Dan sighed, "Being able to see my own daughter and knowing that she can't see me, that's its own kind of hell, Amenadiel. Now, why are those my only choices, anyway? I don't even know why I went to Hell in the first place. And I honestly can't think of anything I feel guilty about anymore. And what's worse? What's worse is I'm friends with celestial beings who are supposed to understand how all this stuff works, and not even they can help me." Amenadiel replied, "Dan, I'm sorry. I wish I could, but the only one who can get you out of this mess is you. Now you have got to try and figure out what you're still feeling guilty about and then face it head on." "Great," Dan sighed. "So basically what you're telling me is that on top of everything else, I'm on my own. That's just peachy."
"Not necessarily." Carlos, Dude, and Jane walked over. Jane smiled at Dan, "Hello, Dan. Nice to see you again." Dan was shocked, "Wait. You can see me? How?" Jane smirked, "I'm a fairy. Magical being. We can see a lot of things." "Dan," Carlos said. "If you need help, just ask. Everyone who can see you can help you get to where you need to go. Plus, a certain God of the Underworld may have heard about your situation. He may be able to help you." Dan smiled, "Really? That would be awesome. Thank you. I wish I could hug the both of you right now." Everyone chuckled with Dude barking.
Ella saw this interaction and heard snippets of it. "Magical? God of the Underworld? Carlos is getting more and more interesting. Is he more than just Lucifer's son? And what is up with his girlfriend?"
Rory saw Trixie and walked over to her, "'Fess up, T. You spiked the punch, didn't you?" Trixie was confused so Rory said, "Never mind. I'm about four years too early. I'm Rory. Uh, Lucifer, Chloe, and Carlos' friend." Trixie smiled, "Cool. I'm Trixie. Maze's best friend." Rory was confused, "I thought Lucifer was Maze's best friend." Trixie shook her head, "No way. I love Lucifer, but no way." "You love him, huh?" Rory asked. "Why?" Trixie shrugged, "Becaue he's funny and weird and really bad at board games." "Lucifer plays board games?" Rory asked. "At least once a week," Trixie explained. "On game night. Carlos has been joining us too." Rory chuckled, "You guys have a game night? You never told me that." "What do you mean?" Trixie asked. "I just met you. Why does it….Who are you again?" Rory smiled sadly, "I'm nobody."
Chloe walked over to Lucifer, "Hey! All right, so the babysitter's gonna take Trixie home. You wanna hit the dance floor?" Lucifer smirked, "I thought you'd never ask." Lucifer led her out to the dance floor, and Chloe said, "Oh, and by the way, we need to talk." "Four most terrifying words in the English language," Lucifer replied. Chloe shook her head, "No, it's nothing bad. We just need to figure something out. But now, right now, we dance."
Carlos went up to the DJ and spoke her her quietly. She nodded and gave Carlos the microphone. Jane secretly used some of her magic to change the music and the guests started to dance along with the music. Carlos said into the mic, "I'd like to dedicate this song to the married couple, Maze and Eve. May you two have a happily every after." He then started to sing along with the music,
You don't know you've been looking 'til you find it
Don't know what you've been missing 'til it's there
It's stronger than a spell, it's magic in itself
It's an ever after like you've never felt
It's the sum of the times of your life
It's the person you're standing beside
And it's the pride that you're feeling inside
For who you are, you've come so far
I'm feeling the la-la-love
La-la-love
You make me feel alive
True love you can't deny
I'm feeling that dream come true
Here with you
And love is around us too
Ooh, and I feel the love
The journey might always be that easy
Twists and turns can take you anywhere
Together or apart, you gotta trust your heart
The power of true love will get you there
Yeah, it's the sum of the times of your life
And it's the person you're standing beside
Yeah, it's the pride that you're feeling inside
From where you are
And it's just the start
I'm feeling the la-la-love
La-la-love
You make me feel alive
True love you can't deny
I'm feeling that dream come true
Here with you
And love is around us too
Ooh, and I feel the love
Carlos used his illusion magic to add some special effects. And he sent some to Maze and Eve and they started to sing,
(Maze and Eve)
For good and for better I found my forever
I can't wait to know where our story goes
This moment, this feeling is one you can't measure
(Eve)
I'm feelin' it
(Maze)
I'm feelin' it
(Maze and Eve)
Are you feelin' it
Carlos then used his magic to make everyone sing along,
I'm feeling the la-la-love
La-la-love
You make me feel alive
True love you can't deny
I'm feeling that dream come true
Here with you
And love is around us too
Ooh, and I feel the love
(Carlos)
I'm feeling the la-la-love
La-la-love
I'm feeling the la-la-love
When the song ended, everyone cheered and Maze and Eve went over and hugged Carlos. Ella was confused as to what happened and had more suspicions about Carlos.
Lucifer saw Rory standing walking away and he said to Chloe, "Hey, uh, I'll be right back." He ran over to Rory and asked, "You're not leaving right now, are you? Maze is only on her third tequila….bottle." Rory turned to him, "That's what you have to say to me? I was in Auradon with Carlos. And you never showed up. Like you promised." Lucifer realized, "That's what Carlos meant earlier. Ah, Rory, I'm so sorry. Maze needed my help." Rory replied, "And you went running, like you always do for everyone else. There's always gonna be someone or something you choose over me, isn't there?" Lucifer said, "In my defense, you did say you weren't going." Rory argued, "What? And you said you'd be there! I can't believe I leet myself think that…."
Chloe had walked over at this point and Carlos did as well, and Chloe said, "Rory. This is not the time or place right now." Lucifer sighed, "Agreed." Rory scoffed, "Sure. Why don't we talk about it over game night? Oh, wait, that's something you only do with Trixie, who's not even his real daughter! And Carlos, you apparently participate in game night as well!" Carlos commanded, "Enough! We're taking this to the hallway now." Carlos looked over at Jane and mouthed, "Be right back. Watch Dude." and he went out into the hallway, Lucifer, Chloe and Rory following him.
Ella was staring at everyone at the reception as she kept getting drunker and her thoughts were all over the place. She heard Carol calling for her and she turned and accidentally spilled alcohol on him. Ella shouted, "Oh, God! I'm so sorry!" Carol chuckled, "It's OK. Hey. Are you OK?" Ella nodded, "Yeah. No, totes. Oh, my gosh. I am so sorry." "It's OK," Carol replied. "Hey, I'm gonna go clean this up. I'll be right back." Carol walked away and Ella downed the rest of her drink.
Lucifer, Chloe, Carlos, and Rory went into the hallway and Lucifer argued, "It's only happened twice. I don't even like Monopoly anyway." "Dad!" Carlos shouted. "Enough." Chloe turned to Rory, "Rory, I know you're upset. But I'm sure your father has a perfectly reasonable explanation." Lucifer nodded, "I do, thank you. Maze was about to kill the first man, whom she used to scare the first woman away, so I had to go and nab some bride-soothing demons, aka, half the guest list." Chloe sighed, "Maybe not perfectly normal, but…" Rory interrupted, "But you're always gonna find a reason to defend him. Why, Mom? He doesn't deserve it. You wanted a glimpse into your future? How's this? That something big I was going through when I accidentally time-jumped, it was you dying. In the future I come from, you're on your deathbed, and he's not there." "I die in 20 years?" Chloe asked. Rory shook her head, "No, Mom. I'm older than I look. Half angel and all that, but that's not the point. The point is he's not there. Even for something that important, he's never there. Like he was never there for my brother, who fun fact, wasn't there either. And you never talked about him. Lucifer was never there for either of his children."
"Rory," Carlos said. "I told you, Dad didn't know I even existed until two years ago. How could he have? I'm from another universe, for crying out loud!" "He still should have been there!" Rory shouted. "He could have taken you away from your horrible mother. Yet here you are, defending him." Carlos started to get angry, "You still jump to conclusions without knowing the whole story. Yes, I grew up with a horrible mother. But my life on the Isle happened. Nothing can change that. But just because you think I didn't deserve that, which is true, that doesn't make it right to go to the Isle and beat up my mother like you did." "She did what?" Lucifer asked. "Rory, is that true?" Rory was silent and Lucifer took that as a yes. Lucifer said, "While I agree Cruella deserves punishment, you had no right to do that!" "And now I had to make a deal with Hades," Carlos added. "He wants me to get Rory back to her own time before something major happens to the timeline." Lucifer groaned, "Oh, that Hades." Chloe sighed, "OK, we all need to calm down."
Jane and Dude then ran out of the reception and to them, "Excuse me. But Ella's trying to take the microphone and she's seems a little tipsy. And determined to say something." "A lot of things," Dude added. They all followed Jane back into the reception as Ella shouted, "Cut the music! Hold on, I have something to say. No, I am not OK! I have been trying to keep it together for Maze and Eve, but I can't take it anymore! I have to say something because I know the truth. I know that Lucifer is the actual Devil! Not, like, the most method actor ever. And Amenadiel is an angel. Which makes Charlie half angel. Oh, Maze! Maze is a demon! And Eve is, well, Eve. Whoa! I kissed the first woman. Oh! And apparently zombies are real." "Well," Lucifer corrected. "Technically they're not zombies, Miss Lopez. They're demons." "Not now, Dad," Carlos hissed.
Ella turned to Carlos, "Carlos, Carlos, you are the most interesting out of the bunch. You are Lucifer's son, which makes you the Antichrist. But you're so much more than that, aren't you? Apparently, you have a mirror that can possibly located anything. I keep hearing stuff about magic around you, including your girlfriend. And I heard you talk about the God of the Underworld. You have so many mysteries surrounding you. You seem to enchant everyone around you, and I mean literally enchant. You seem to be more than just half angel." Jane hugged Carlos, who stared at Ella.
Chloe walked over to Ella, "Ella, I understand how hard this is to process." Ella interrupted, "No, but this is it. This isn't hard to process at all. With Carlos being the exception. I believe in all this stuff already. But what I can't believe is that you all kept it from me. It just absolutely breaks my heart that you think so very little of me. And I get it. I get it. I'm just regular old Ella. I mean, how much help can I be in stopping the end of the world? Still, you guys could have at least…." "Whoa," Amenadiel interrupted. "Back up. What do you mean the end of the world? I thought you told me that was all inside your head." "Yeah, I lied," Ella replied. "Because I figured you were just trying to throw me off the scent." Everyone looked around confused. Ella realized, "Wait, are you guys telling me that you don't know the world is ending? Uh-oh. That can't be good."
Carol then came running back in, "Whew! Ha ha! Crisis averted, babe. See? Got all cleaned up before it set. So, what did I miss?" Carlos then nodded to Jane, and Jane sent some magic at Carol, and he feel to the ground, asleep. Ella shouted, "What happened? What did you do?" Carlos walked up to Ella, "Jane just made him fall asleep. He'll wake up in a little bit." He then took off his necklace and his hair illusion spell disappeared, making his white hair return. Ella took a few steps back, "What the….." "Ella," Carlos interrupted. "Calm down." Ella immediately calmed down and she asked, "How did you do that?" "It's just something I can do," Carlos explained. "Now, we don't we have a fresh start? Hi, I'm Carlos De Vil, son of Cruella De Vil and Lucifer Morningstar. My girlfriend, Jane, is the daughter of Fairy Godmother, so yes, she's a fairy. Now, you are going to tell me what you meant by the world ending." Dude walked over, "Does this mean I can talk in front of her now?" Ella went pale and fainted, Carlos catching her. Carlos sighed, "Oh, great."
