Waking up to the smell of coffee, I stretched my body like a cat would after a long nap, and then slowly got out of bed. Looking around the room, I noticed that my phone was on a nightstand by the bed, and gently pick it up. Two missed calls and a text message showed up on the screen, all from my Uncle.

I unlocked my phone and listened to the voicemail he left.

"Rose, I was able to obtain the map were the relics are hidden. They are all around the world, so I hope you're prepared to travel. The details of how I got it are not important. Atali told me your location, I have prepared a meeting at Ravenworth. It is a railroad and it is isolated, therefore, no witnesses. They will meet you there in four hours. But given your speed at running, I am sure you will have no problem getting there."

After the ding sound, I moved the phone from my ear and checked the time of when the phone call was made, two and a half hours ago. I check the time on the phone and toss it to the bed. I still have an hour to be there. I sprint to the bathroom and pull on the clothes that were left folded on the counter, I assumed were left for me. After brushing my teeth and running my fingers through my hair in order to make it look decent, I sprint out of the bedroom and through the house, opening the door and ran to the northern direction.

Feeling the dirt beneath my toes as I ran, is one of the most wonderful feeling one can experience. Taking a whiff of the air and enjoy the woodsy smell, I noticed a slight singe smell coming from the direction to my right. I stop, letting my feet dig into the earth, and continue to smell the odor. Recognizing the source of it after just a few minutes. A Demon.

I silently sneer in disgust. Those creatures are vile and untrustworthy, always demanding more than they have earned.

"Follow the trail. Must see." A voice whispered from the tries.

The forest seems to want me to see this creature, interesting. Taking a deeper breath to fully get its scent, I start running in the direction that will lead me to it.

As the miles between me and my target get shorter, I notice that the nature around this area is becoming more and more dead looking.

It is not long after I notice this that a railroad track comes into view, giving me a suspicion of what to expect. I slowdown from a run and into a walk, inspecting the area, looking for any signs of a trap. The odor of the demon is strong here, like it is within 10 feet of me, yet there is no demon around.

"You remind me of your Uncle when you do that." A woman's voice said from above.

Skeptical, but curious, I look up. And sure, as shit, there is a demoness floating midair in a sitting position with her arms crossed and tail flickering.

This demoness is not like the other demons I've ran across, I can tell by her aura and clothes. Her aura shimmers like a red mist and sparkle's, trying to lure you in, and dress looks to be made from the finest fabric and clings to her body.

"Am I to assume you are the one I am supposed to meet?" I ask warily. Mentally cursing myself for not bringing my weapons with me.

The demoness smiles at me and lowers herself to the ground in front of me, "Yes, I am."

She says as I watch her give me the once over, like I'm some kind of meat.

"Interesting, your uncle failed to mention that you were one of her children. From the rumors I've heard, she created you first. You're supposed to be one of her greatest weapons, yet here you stand, ready to end your creator." I can hear the amusement in her voice as she walks around me, sliding her hand seductively across my back from my left shoulder to my right hip.

I growled in response to her antics, "Enough. Are you going to give me the information or not?"

She laughs at me and pulls out a tattered rolled up piece of paper from between her breast and holds it out in my direction. I hesitantly grab hold of the paper and open it for me to read, keeping my guard up in case she decides to attack.

Blank, she gave me a blank piece of paper.

"Now young one, don't get upset, that was your Uncles idea. That paper will remain blank until you say the magic words. Don't want unwanted eyes learning our secrets." She giggled.

"What do I owe you?" I ask calmly, while I roll the paper back up and hide it in my bra. I can already feel the stress building inside me when she doesn't answer right away and just looks at me with pure lust in her eyes. Shit, I should have expected this. How the fuck am I supposed to talk her out of that idea? I could just run, no, she would find me.

"My, look at you, getting all frizzled." She laughed. "Relax hot stuff, the payment has already been agreed upon and will be paid at a later date by your uncle." She said with a glint in her purple eyes.

Well that just sounds gross.

I nod my head in thanks and start to turn around, when I am grabbed by the wrist. I look back over my shoulder and see that it was the demoness that had stopped me.

She looks me dead in the eye, the playfulness gone.

"Be careful who you trust, one of them will betray you. She is watching you and waiting for her chance to strike. If you are not careful, she will get you. Then, you will be lost." The warning was clear in her voice, she was not joking.

"Thank you" I said and watched her disappear in a cloud of red sparkling dust.

I shook my head in disbelief, no demon has ever cared enough to warn others, not unless it affects them somehow.

I started jogging back in the direction I came from, back to the house where I knew they were all waiting to see what I would next. Hell, even I don't know what I am going to do. However, the first on my list is to call Uncle and get the fucking spell off the paper.

It takes me about 30 minutes to get to base, and when I do, the first thing I notice is the voices being carried on the wind that lead to the back of the house. I stealthily walk into the surrounding trees and blend myself into the shadows as I start to enter the back of the house.

Hearing their voices, I can tell that most of them sound like they are training or working out. While some are just taking breaks, longer than necessary breaks.

Eric and Dimitri seem to be training together in a hands-on combat style, Christian and Adrian are doing target practice with stakes, and Atali is sitting in the lotus position not too far off from the, appearing to be deep in meditation.

However, Tasha, Lisa and Sydney were all sitting down staring at the boys and discussing about hook ups and crushes. Sydney was mostly watching her son Declan and talking to him about how handsome he is.

"Enjoying your time spying on everyone?"

I quickly turn around and grab the intruders throat, slamming them into the try next to me, before I realize who it is and let go.

"Sorry Atali, If I had known it was you, I wouldn't have attacked." I apologize and go back to watching the group, who surprisingly have not acted at all to what had just happened. Atali must have understood what I was thinking.

"I put up a barrier around us. No sound can reach out of this barrier, and they cannot see us either. I have left a copy of myself over there so not to raise awareness or suspicion." She said calmly.

"How long have you all been training?" I asked. Never looking away from the group.

"Since you have left. So, a few hours at best. Speaking of which, did you have a nice run?" She responded suggestively.

"Hn. It was weird but not unpleasant. You will need to make a phone call and get the magic word from my Uncle. Otherwise this paper is useless." I say with a smile. Taking the paper out of my pants, I toss it to her.

"I will let you know if I find anything useful, but in return, you got to tell me why I sense demonic power on this scroll and you. I bet it is an interesting story." She said with a wink and then disappeared. However, her copy that is with the group, stayed.

I watched them train for about an hour until Sydney spoke about getting hungry, which sparked everyone's interest in getting food, and went inside the house to go make something. They all started to gather and head inside, except for Christian and Adrian, who stayed behind to gather the weapons.

I walked out of the tree line and into the moon light, feeling that I could finally come into view without being stared or judged.

"Hey guys, how is it going?" I spoke up from behind them.

I must have scared them cause within the next minute, Adrian swung around with a stake in his hand and shoved it into my gut. I could feel the burning of the stake from within me and out of instinct I punched Adrian in the shoulder and threw him on the deck.

I could feel my control wavering and so I stood stock still, taking deep breathes, but found it difficult to breathe. The burning sensation in my stomach was getting worse. Looking down I realize that the stake is still in me, but its red hot. Like it was just being forged. Only one metal reacts this way around me.

"Iron... you trained with Iron stakes." I said in disbelief and realization.
