I don't own Star Wars, regrettably.
Please let me know what you think.
All Hail Emperor Palpatine!
The Empire was welcomed with open arms. The Galactic Republic was a relic, it had been in existence for so long it had outlived and outlasted its welcome over the centuries. It had endured throughout the centuries but over the years, the corruption infected the Senate and the business consortiums and conglomerates for generations thousands of years before the Sith Grand Plan was designed and implemented by Darth Bane and his Sith sorceress apprentice Darth Zannah.
Bane had been one of the last powerful Sith Lords of the New Sith Wars, and he had come to the conclusion of the Sith's age-old tactic of constantly trying to force the Sith to conquer the Republic and turn it into a Sith Empire wouldn't work. Bane, after consulting the Dark Side of the Force, came to the realisation that by using stealth, the Sith could transform the Republic into a Sith Empire while destroying their ancient enemies, the Jedi Order at the same time.
At the same time, the Sith would influence the galaxy in other ways, sowing seeds of chaos to get the galaxy to the right level before they launched a terrible war the Jedi would not be able to prevent as Guardians of Peace and Justice. And then, the Sith Empire would reign supreme, sworn in by the Senate itself.
The plan was not without its issues.
The two Sith Lords began a process of simultaneously spreading discord and manipulating businesses, aiding corrupt politicians or finding ways of making politicians and businessmen more corrupt in order to further spread the disease of corruption throughout the Republic. But it was a process that took many years, with the first members of Darth Bane's order laying down the groundwork for the plan. And for hundreds of years, the Banite Sith worked with some members coming up with fresh ways of perverting the Republic and pushing it closer and closer to the Dark Side. Even better the Jedi, blinded by their arrogance and complacency in a world that was so mechanised, it was a wonder anyone became Force-sensitive.
In a way the planet Coruscant became perfect for the Sith; thanks to the Sith Lords of Bane's order who ensured many planets in the galaxy received a gradual rise of crime, and they stoked the fires of hate and greed on several of the planets, to spread it further throughout the Republic.
Once the Clone Wars began, the brutality of the war as war spread across the planets in the galaxy, leaving many of them wastelands with cities destroyed or bombed out with smoking craters a hundred miles deep, with the populations either massacred as collateral damage and victims of war while the Jedi were unable to really save lives. The war eroded the image of the Jedi even further, spreading hatred of the Order and generating loathing for droids. When the Empire rose, everyone was delighted when the fighting ended, and thanks to the amount of devastation and beyond, there were new opportunities for everyone.
All hail and praise to the Empire.
