Harry's POV
I slammed my head down on my desk. My little sister Sirena was singing under the stairs. Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon put me in the room above the stairs so that all the noise would bother me and not them. I was trying to work on my essay for Snape's class that was due in a week when I went back to Hogwarts to start my 3rd year. Sirena was starting her 1st year. And she was singing because "my roommates might not be nice about my singing and I need practice" then she slammed her "bedroom" door closed.
I sighed, there was no way I was going to get the essay done with that singing. It wasn't that she was bad. It was the opposite, she was so good it was enchanting. And very distracting.
I trudged down the stairs, when I reached her door I knocked in the secret code we had made and then did a chicken dance while baaking. She opened the door and giggled. "Come in dumbo."
I settled on her bed and she perched on the edge of her chair, drumming her knee with her finger. I noticed and pointed it out, "Is your ADHD acting up again?"
She nodded and pushed a piece of her hair behind her ear. Sirena and I have a secret. We are only half siblings. She shares my mother but my father, James Potter is not her dad. Her dad was a random dude named like Fred Olympia or something.
Sirena has long honey blond hair, blue eyes, pale skin, and a huge, dazzling, megawatt smile, brighter than the sun.
"So what did you want to talk about oh almighty brother?" She asked jokingly.
"Hey, Sirena, do you maybe want to come to my room tonight and sneak out? Some of my friends are taking me out of this house, just like last year, do you want to come with?" I asked, Sirena was never a rule breaker so I was nervous asking her this.
"Uh, sure. Didn't their car get destroyed though?" She asked, skeptical.
"Yeah, they got a new one. So will you keep it down kid? I have to finish an essay. You can sing all you want at the Burrow, my friend's house." I was also nervous asking this, Sirena had a habit of going ballistic when someone asked her to not sing.
She smiled waaaaaay too sweetly, "Of course brother dear. I would be delighted. If you buy me everything I need for school."
It might not sound like much but she knew I was saving my money for lots of toys and candy. And since I was underage I could only withdraw a certain amount each year. This would put a damper on my plans. And first years need a loooot of stuff.
"Fine." I huffed out.
She squealed in perfect pitch to shatter my eardrums and then hugged me, "You're the best brother ever!" Then she gave me a look. 'I will slowly kill you for denying me my passion'
I gulped. "I have to go work on my essay. Bye!"
Then I bolted out of there.
Timeskip through the rest of the summer, and sorry for that unnecessary little thing. Sorry!
The rest of the summer passed uneventfully. Finally the time to go to Hogwarts came around. Ron and Hermione still didn't know that Sirena was my sister. They thought she was a street urchin I picked up and that's why we had to leave the Dursleys, because they didn't like having random "beggar" kids around.
I waited patiently for the Sorting Hat to get to my sister but then I froze. Was it possible?
The name "Granger, Milo!" had just rung through the air. I turned towards Hermione, who looked sheepish.
Then I turned back to the stage, the kid was walking towards the Sorting Hat. He was short and chubby, with dark hair, purple? eyes, and tan skin. He glanced at Hermione before sitting down and she gave him a thumbs up. He sat down and after a minute the Sorting Hat called out.
"Hufflepuff!"
Milo, I think his name was, walked over to the Hufflepuff table and sat down. The Sorting continued on as normal until it reached the M's.
"Malfoy, Idylla!"
I was shell shocked, Malfoy had a secret little sister?
She skipped up a smile on her face, was she even a Malfoy? Idylla was tall, and thin, she was beautiful in an ethereal, timeless way. Idylla had the Malfoy blond hair, pale skin, and bright green eyes.
"Gryffindor!"
She came up to our table and sat down, I was even more shocked, a Malfoy, in Gryffindor? Unbelievable!
The Sorting continued on and it finally reached the P's.
"Potter, Sirena!"
Sirena confidently strode up and sat down. After only a few moments the hat called out.
"Gryffindor!"
Sirena came to our table and winked at me. Then the Sorting drug on some more. When it came to the W however, another surprise was in store.
"Weasley, Gale!"
Apparently Ron had another brother.
Gale came to the chair, and sat down. He had olive skin, black hair, and blue eyes.
"Slytherin!"
Gale slouched over to the Slytherin table and sat there dejectedly.
I turned to Ron and Hermione. "I guess we all have some explaining to do."
They nodded. "I guess I'll go first." Hermione started. "So Milo is my moms. She and my dad had a huge fight when I was three and she stormed out of the house and went to this bar. She was waiting for her friend when she met this guy, she was really drunk by that point, and she thought it was my dad. She says his name was Dennes and he was actually really nice about the whole thing when she woke up with a massive hangover and realized what happened. She never saw him again but later she found out that she was pregnant and Milo came to being."
Hermione paused, "That's my story. I also know that Idylla is Lucius's kid. With a woman named Henrietta."
Ron looked at her, mouth agape, for a second before he said, "I'm not even going to ask how you know that." He paused, "Anyways, Gale is my dad's kid. I don't know why he cheated on mum. That was the only time though, and they've gotten over it now. It was a woman named Iris. She was odd just like him, he says. Loved rainbows apparently. I think she was just nuts and he was somehow attracted to that."
I sighed, "My mom is similar. Sirena is hers. Apparently my mom found this guy named Fred who was super into her and my dad was away on a trip, trying to stop Voldemort, and he was so much more romantic than my dad so she cheated. But when she woke up he was gone. She was really sad. I mean I was three but I remember her saying she was going to divorce my dad and get with Fred before he abandoned her, pregnant too."
Hermione winced, "Yeah it sucks that you know that your parents do these things. It makes you lose trust in them, and that they are good people and role models."
Me and Ron nodded along. It really does suck. More than people know.
Suddenly we hear something behind us. "Well this was touching. Wanna hear my heartfelt story?"
We turn. And see our worst enemy. Draco Malfoy.
Thanks for reading my newest story. I had a sudden burst of inspiration that turned into this! I spent three days crafting this and did a lot of research and poured hours into choosing the right name for the kids. Thank you for supporting me, it means a lot.
