3rd Person's P.O.V
Chic sighed as she saw her team leader leave his room. She knew Pika wouldn't want to leave without any of them... after all, they've all been on so many missions together. She could still remember the day Pika asked her to join his MDPT, and how shocked she had been at being chosen... best day of her life here at HQ (other than her birthday of course, Robin and her adopted father know how to spoil her)

The atmosphere was still tense until someone finally broke the silence. It was none other than Eve "We can't let Pika down! He's our friend and our leader! I don't care what's at stake. He choose me out of many of my classmates to be a part of Team Pokepals… and I owe him to join in on this quest" she determinedly said without any hesitation

The orange chick nodded in agreement as the Eevee had a point "Eve... count me in too. Pika has always been their for us through thick and thin. Now we need to do the same for him too! Rio, Leaf? What do you two think?" she asked the two oldest among them, both of whom had been silent for a long while now

Rio was the one to talk first "I'm in... Like you both said, I also owe it to both Pika and to my uncle as well. Also as second in command of Team Pokepals, it's my responsibility to always be at our leader's side. Besides someone has to keep him out of trouble somehow and from making silly decisions" he playfully said at the end as both Chic and Eve giggled at that

Now all that was left to decide is Leaf. All 3 turned towards the medic of their team and took notice of the fact that it seemed Leaf was having an inter battle with herself. She wanted to go with her team, yes... however she was scared that they weren't ready for the task ahead of them

"Leaf?" she heard Rio say as he placed a paw on her leaf "I know you're scared... we all are. Heck even Pika is clearly scared as well, but if we stick together... than I'm sure we'll have a better chance at completing our mission"

Leaf sighed and slowly nodded. Although she wasn't to sure about this whole idea... she couldn't abandon her friends/teammates in what can possibly be their most important mission ever "If we're going to do this... then we need to get prepared, thoroughly prepared. Agent Chic, you go and tell Leader of our decision, while we all get the necessary items we'll need for the mission" she told the Torchic, who nodded and left the room without another word

Meanwhile with Pika
The young yellow mouse sighed as he looked through the window at the fresh new cadets all training on the simulators. He remembered when he had to do that and also how the missions got harder and harder on the simulator as time went on... especially with the final test. You see in order to graduate from the Rookie Rank at MDPF, each cadet has to undergo a final exam of either facing the ultimate challenge through a training simulation or overcoming your weakest points by challenging one of the Normal Rank members to a one on one battle

Let's just say that Pika didn't pass with flying colors... He had decided to go with the challenge of facing a Normal Rank member and almost failed if he was being honest. Heck he even evolved into a Pikachu due to this and only passed in the end because of his unorthodox strategy that was used

Once he had graduated, he was required to take on a nickname, like everyone else before him have done. He could have chosen one like Sparky or Thunder, something cool. However he decided to keep it simple and true to his name, by choosing Pika… yes so original, yet no one had taken the nickname

"Pika? You in here? Leader Pika!" a familiar female voice called out as the mouse saw none other than Chic looking around for him. The mouse didn't feel like making her check every room in the hallway and called out to her "Near the window watching the new recruits!"

Chic nodded to herself once she heard her leader's voice and found him in the place he said he was at. She walked over towards him and smiled slightly as she saw the newly fresh recruits all looking at both her and Pika in awe and wonder. She winked at a young Fennekin, who was shyly looking at her and chuckled as the fire type looked away after seeing Chic wink at her

Pika shook his head with a smile at the antics of his fire type friend. After all Chic was one of the few who could make someone turn there frowns upside down. He waved a paw over at the instructor, who waved back to Pika as both him and Chic left to stop distracting the students

"So what brings you here Chic... I'm guessing it has something to do with everyone's decision right?" Pika asked getting right into business

Chic sighed as she nodded. Couldn't Pika make this conversation any less tense "Yes, we have all reached a decision to the mission that was given to us" she told her leader in a serious voice. If Pika wanted to play this as a teammate to teammate talk instead of friends, than she would do just that herself

Pika, although wasn't expressing this outwards, was a nervous wreak on the inside. He was scared to hear the decision his teammates had chosen. He hoped that they all agreed to go on the mission... as much as he didn't want to admit it again, he's gotten use to working with a team and as such thinking about the mission as a solo operation... it just didn't sit well with him

Chic gave her leader a light nudge as it seemed he had gotten lost in his thoughts "Umm leader Pika, you alright there?" she hesitantly asked the yellow mouse

Pika shook his head and nodded "Yes. Sorry about that. You were saying about the decision?"

"Right. So after careful consideration, we all came to the same decision. It was agreed that we're all going with you on the mission. We're a team after all and it wouldn't be fair of us if we just let our leader take on this mission all alone... so will you accept us as your teammates for this mission?" Chic asked at the end after telling the yellow mouse the decision

Pika couldn't help the smile that appeared on his face "Of course I accept you all on the mission! Their isn't anyone else I'd want in on this than all of you... right Rio, Eve and Leaf?" Pika said as Chic nodded happily that Pika was happy, however she grew confused when she heard the names of her other teammates

The trio who had followed Chic discreetly came out of hiding, causing the fire type to mumble angrily for not noticing them before "Sorry for spying on you like that Leader" Leaf apologized for her and her teammates behavior

Pika just gave a tiny chuckle "It's fine... I'm just glad you all decided to join in and accept the mission" he replied as Rio placed a paw on his leader's shoulder

"Wouldn't miss it for the world" he said as Eve excitedly nodded in agreement with her senior teammate

Pika knew that with his team by his side, nothing could possibly go wrong now...

Chapter went through some trial and error, however I finally decided to use this version of the chapter in the end. So now we know that Pika and his team are all gonna go through with the mission. Will they have what it takes, will they each come of this alive and succeed? Find out in the next chapter where they each spend their last day in MDPF HQ
