Edit 01/17/2022: Oh man, I can't believe no one told me I accidentally called Kazui Kazuo throughout this whole fic. *sweat-drops with embarassment* Fixed it now.
A/N: Ok, I've really taken a liking to writing drabbles! :D This story is for Gina-chan1979 who told me she'd love to read a little more about Daddy Ichigo. So here goes:

Mission

The door squeaked slightly as it swung open.
„Ok Kazui, from here on out we're going to have to be very –," Ichigo was interrupted by his son raising his index finger too his mouth to shush excessively and very loudly. He suppressed a grin as he finished his sentence in a whisper. "…quiet."
The two of them were crouching on the floor in front of the big door. Kazui looked at his dad with a serious and focused expression that just looked adorably misplaced on his little face. His father placed a large hand on the 3-year-old's shoulder. "Alright son, we'll have to be swift and determined. There's no telling what might happen. Remember what I taught you about stealth?" Kazui nodded with wide eyes.
"Alright, then let's make this mission a success! Let's go!"
With another excited nod, Kazui crawled through the door, keeping low and moving almost soundlessly. Ichigo's heart filled with pride at the sight of his little son doing his best and he smiled wistfully before following in his wake.
They passed some objects and doors until Kazui closed in on the room where the target was hiding. Finding the door slightly ajar, Kazui turned to his father who gave him an encouraging nod. Kazui gave the door a little push and snuck up behind the target as quietly as he could, raising his hands to reach out.
"BOOOOOH!" He yelled as he grabbed his mother's legs from behind, interrupting her cooking as she startled.
"Aaaaah," Orihime yelled in overacted surprise. "Oh Kazui, you startled me! What are you doing here?"
Kazui grinned a proud toothy grin. "Daddy is teaching me about stealth!"
Orihime turned to her husband whose head was visible from where he was bent over, peaking past the door frame. His face carried unhidden amusement, an expression that would have been unthinkable to see on him when he was a teenager. She threw him a loving eye roll, before turning back to her excited son.
"Well, you did very well, I was so surprised!" She buried him in a hug that Kazui returned happily, before prying himself away.
"I'm going to build our spy base now! Dad, will you help me?"
Ichigo, who came strolling casually into the kitchen now, ruffled his son's hair. "Sure, I'll be right there."
Kazui dashed off and Ichigo stepped towards his wife, who rested her hands around his neck while they shared a playful look.
"You know Hime, I have determined that you are a terrible actress," Ichigo teased, causing mock outrage to appear on his wife's face.
"It's not my fault that you are awful at hiding your reiatsu! I felt you coming for the last 5 minutes," she retorted indignantly. "And why would you of all people even teach Kazui about stealth? If I recall correctly," she had to stop her sentence for a burst of giggles. "… your methods were always anything but. I do think that all your opponents always knew of your presence the second you ever even thought of taking them on." Her giggling turned into outright laughing. "Actually, what is the opposite of 'stealthy', because… – " She was cut of in her taunting when Ichigo pressed his lips to hers.
"Yeah, yeah," he said placidly as he pulled back. "It always worked out for me, though, didn't it?" With a cocky grin, he gave the tip of her nose a little tap, before pulling away. "Now, my love, my fort-building abilities are needed."
