He went on to grab another picture, "What are your thoughts on Izzy?"
Gwen took her picture, and honestly tipped her head to the side, "It's weird. We were on the same team in "Island", and competed a decent amount of time together, but we didn't interact a whole lot. When she came back, and aligned with Heather, Izzy always came to check on me, and told me that she didn't agree with Heather's tactics, and that I should kick her ass, so I did appreciate her pep talks. She was also one of the few people who tried to keep the peace at the Aftermaths, and spent some time with me after the likes of Katie and Sadie were trying to piss me off by hooking up with Trent. A lot of her crazy antics kept me entertained through the second half. I also remember us being on the yacht, and I asked her about the breakup with Owen, and she was... REALLY torn up about it, and she let it all out. She felt played, manipulated, tricked, and abandoned. Apparently the producers gave her some medication while she was in the hospital with Owen and I, and whispered some stuff in her ear. I felt really bad for her."
Josh raised his eyebrows, not expecting that, "I'm actually shocked that you were so... nice regarding Izzy. Anyways, Justin is next. How did you feel about him guilt-trip you into booting yourself, only to become bandmates and friends with Trent?"
She saw the picture of Justin, and she started to gawk, "Ahhhhhhh, he's sooo sexy. I remember this time during the first season, where he entered the female Gopher cabin, and gave every girl a strip show. The way he moved his hips, flexed his abs, twerked that ass, and the way his blue eyes contrasted his brown skin. An an artist, I appreciated his symmetrical beauty, and the color matching. When he inserted himself in the breakup mess, I already felt guilty about it, so when he suggested what he did, I saw it as an easy way out of my issues and dilemmas, and I get that he wanted a victory for his team, so I didn't take it personally. The difference between him and Al is that Justin actually ended up apologizing to people after the game is over. Once he was booted, Justin personally apologized to me for pushing my boot, and using my breakup to gain a better position in the season. In the WT Aftermaths, I actually hung out with Trent and Justin a bit, and this was before Duncan was booted. I had a lot of fun with them, and he told me that one day, he would bring me to their show, and backstage. That did not happen until after "All Stars" during their final tour. I didn't realize that him, the group, and a few others kind of organized it for Trent and I to hook up again, and they kind of tricked us to going on a date. I have gotten to know him a lot since, and Justin... is a lot nicer and cooler than I thought he was. He learned how to interact with people who he otherwise would have seen as "lower" than him, and he's helped me A LOT with photography over the years."
"I remember you having Katie and Sadie over at your house to film a few Youtube videos after "Action". They were early boots on your first season, and you haven't interacted with them much since. How do you feel about them, and how do you feel about their relationship with Trent over the years?"
Gwen just shook her head, "Katie and Sadie were always very annoying, and I just never got the chance to speak to them, and for good reason. I didn't get a chance to interact with them like that until I was booted in "Action". From what I could remember even in "Island", they were gawking over Trent and Justin, so I shouldn't have been shocked with their behavior at the Aftermaths. What no one showed is that they REALLY harassed me about the breakup behind the scenes, and I had to punch the both of them in the face for it, and revealed what the other was shittalking about the other to people. Trent was being petty, and everyone felt bad for him, so he decided to hook up with both Katie AND Sadie. They sent me the sex tape after I had them on my Youtube channel, which I ONLY had because LITERALLY EVERYONE from the original cast couldn't make it. The amount of times that we argued and fought during the making of that video was a lot. If you watch the video, it is so choppy because we fought like every minute. After they left the sex tape in my room, I went on a HUGE rant against them both. They thought ME GOING GREEN MEANT THAT WE WERE WEARING GREEN OUTFITS, INSTEAD OF SAVING THE ENVIRONMENT. Once Trent FINALLY cut them off for good, they went to team up with Sierra, knowing that I HATE her, so I went back and forth with them on social media for that."
Josh pulled out another picture, "Alright, the large and in charge Leshawna is next. How in the heck did you two become friends? Did she piss you off when she ditched you for Harold? How did you feel about her decline in "World Tour"? I want ALL of the tea."
"So, this one is gonna take a while. With Leshawna, I was at first skeptical with, and I think it was because of the "white girl" thing she did early on in the season. I pulled her aside, and told her how that isn't really politically correct, and how it would not be cool if I said "black girl" to her. We had a really interesting discussion about it around the dodgeball episode, and we were both very understanding of the other's side. She agreed to stop it, and we started getting to know one another throughout the pre-merge. A lot of it wasn't shown, but we got along due to nothing involving the game. It wasn't until the late pre-merge where we realized that we needed to start making alliances. She picked up Beth, and I picked up Cody, but the producers pulled their bullshit to spare Heather, so we had to start all over, and when the teams merged, we both were already friends with Bridgette. We all started bonding, and since we knew how Heather really was, neither one of us wanted Bridgette to be corrupted, so we went out of our way to protect her. After things got tense throughout the gender challenge, we all just hung out at the beach. We took Heather's undergarments, and threw them all over the ocean, after she put itching powder in her bed. We did a lot of pranks at that time, especially when the guys came back."
"How did you feel when she jumped the gun, and orchestrated Trent's elimination? You had to have been mad at her for not even discussing things with you, before doing it?"
She grunted from Josh's messy attempts, "You are really trying to stir some mess, but Leshawna did jump the gun on that. I know she was trying to boot Heather, and I had told her about my insecurities about Trent and liking him beforehand, so she knew all of the baggage, and for my worst fears to come true horrified her. She also told me about how she was scared about kissing Harold, felt like she overreacted, and all of that stuff. She underestimated that the producers would rig the challenge for Heather. I appreciated her for having my back when Heather turned on the cold water in my shower, and being one of the few people who remained by my side in the finale. Honestly, I broke down when she was booted, and them doing it to spare Heather really got to the both of it. We got along entering "Action", though there were some notable rifts towards the end of my stay."
Josh's interest peaked, "Ooh, spill the tea. What happened between the two of you? I always found it weird that she hit you with a spoon over Harold, and we have never seen you two interact after "Action". What did she think about your breakup with Trent, and your hookup with Duncan?"
"We were still the dynamic duo who hung out a lot together, and she did try to be the common communicator between Trent and I, but even she got tired of that. One thing that caused a rift was that she claimed she wasn't hooking up with Harold behind the scenes, but it was obvious. She always snuck in and out of the trailer at night, and Harold always complained about being tired, and had a bunch of marks when he did appear. She also didn't like how she let the Killer Grips make me feel bad about the breakup, and her defending Harold in the way she did was... confusing. What people didn't know was that I told Leshawna to vote me out. Seeing her get all weird and lying after I was booted was... confusing, and I felt like it was unnecessary. She talked to me about it, and really wanted to win this season after what happened in "Island", so she decided to be more cutthroat. We ended the season on good terms, though everyone being in real life, instead of the bubble that was the competition, so we did not hang out as much as we thought we would have."
"GET TO THE GOOD PARTS!"
Gwen growled in frustration, "STOP being a cunt, and LET ME FINISH. Anyways, from the little I did interact with her on "World Tour", she was just WAY too unfocused. She was dealing with the aftermath of sleeping with Tyler on their various reality shows, and she was mad with Harold's HUGE ego. Whenever I tried talking game with her, or tried to have fun with her, it was like she wasn't even there. While I LOVED seeing her beat up Heather, which WAS deserved, it just showed how unfocused she was, and I think an early boot ended up benefitting her. We became friends and she looked after me once I got to the Aftermaths, but there was a lot of tension once I started dating Duncan. The two of them got into it, and she told me that I made a colossal mistake getting with him. We got into it for a while at that time. Once I started telling her how horrible our relationship was, she got defensive over me once again, but there was a point in time for like... a year when we did not hang out. She would invite Trent over to piss Duncan off, which I did argue with her about the first time, but I started liking it. She helped Trent and I get back together, and she remains a good friend. She helps me a lot with my art conventions even today. Don't even get me started on the wedding that I'm currently planning. Leshawna's currently being a bridezilla, and I think she got a TV special for the wedding. It's gonna be a wild one."
Josh laughed, "I can totally see Leshawna being a bridezilla. Anyways, Lindsay Her Hotness is next. I don't remember you two interacting a whole lot, outside of you calling her an idiot several times. She also helped Heather torment you several times, and flirted with Trent, while knowing that you were interested in him."
Lindsay's picture was given to her, and Gwen had a relatively blank look on her face, "I did not like her throughout most of our time on the show, since she was an idiot who relied on her looks, and someone with a stronger personality to carry her. I've met a lot of people like that in real life, and it infuriates me how some people get by in life by that. Her flirting with Trent through the season just reiterated my initial thoughts at the time. My first interaction with her was her confusing communal washrooms with communion or something like that. And then she went right along with Heather in sabotaging/bullying me in the talent show contest, and the treasure chest episode, so I was not a fan of her. What truly made me lose respect for her on the season was how she abandoned Beth, and voted her off twice, despite wanting to keep her around, and helping us lock Heather in the fridge. I just saw her as very weak for that, especially after some of us would try to get her to stand up for herself throughout the season. When she did start standing up for herself, I started appreciating her a lot more. Leshawna and I would hang out with her and Beth a lot in "Action", and I even let them upgrade my makeup. It was cool seeing her so confident and bubbly. We really didn't interact in "World Tour", and from the one conversation I had with her in "All-Stars", she told me that she did not want to be in the season, and didn't trust the producers whatsoever, due to how they set her up last season, and felt like they were setting her up this season. Lindsay was really out of it in her last two seasons. We haven't kept in touch like that in general though, but I'm glad she smartened up."
"How do you feel about Noah and Owen in general? You barely competed with the former, and you were finalists with Owen on "Island"?"
"Noah was really annoying in the short time he was on the first season. He was just really lazy, unmotivated, and thought that he was better than everyone. I mean, he made HEATHER safe at the first Gopher boot. When I was booted on the next season, I observed Noah change... He started talking to the producers a lot more, and I noticed that he started arguing with Eva and Izzy behind the scenes. I should have realized then that he was trying to make a Reality TV comeback, hence him being more angry with Chris than everyone else was in the special before "World Tour". Noah became a lot more funny on the plane, and I felt like his sarcasm got better, which caused us to somewhat bond throughout the season, as he got the stick out of his ass. When we were stuck in Jamaica, and I was told about what happened by Owen, I called Noah out for interfering in their relationship, and that he is latching onto Owen to get more clout. He denied it, but it was clear that I was right. Noah did what he had to do, and ended up liking Owen, so... fair game to them. We don't speak."
The interviewer rolled his eyes, and gave out a soft chuckle, "That does sound like Noah, and a lot of people have been saying that about him throughout these interviews. What about Owen now?"
Gwen took his picture, and all she could do was start to laugh, "Owen grossed me out originally, and I found his positivity to be WAY too obnoxious. Kind of like how I was annoyed with Geoff. While he was really gross and unorthodox, Owen proved to be useful in some challenges, and him being blabbermouth really helped us girls, as he told me about the boys alliance with literally no pressure. We did start getting a lot closer once it was just the 4 of us, and he told all of us A LOT about his insecurities with his weight and sexuality. It was really interesting to see another side to Owen, and he of course helped me with booting Heather in the final 3, which was really fun. From what I could remember in "Action", he was the only one of the Grips who didn't tease me about throwing the challenge in my last episode, and from what I was told afterwards, he tried to get all of them to stop. I felt REALLY, REALLY bad about what happened with him and Izzy in Jamaica, and it reeked of producer influence. From what I could remember, outside of being in and out of consciousness, you had the producers whispering in their unconscious ears about a bunch of stuff, trying to meddle. Owen realized what happened after he woke up, and it was A LOT worse than what was shown. I was just there for him as a supportive friend, and his attitude changed COMPLETELY after that, and it got even worse once Noah was essentially rigged out of the season. I felt really bad for him. We speak sometimes over the years, but not too much."
"So Sierra is next, and I know you don't like... like her... like... AT ALL," Josh started bursting out in laughter, as he saw Gwen's disgusted face, which then turned into a glare, as he continued to soak up her unimpressed mood. He passed the picture to her, as he continued describing, "How... how did you end up disliking her so much?"
"Ugh... What people don't know is that Heather sold stories to Sierra the entire time "Action" aired, which only increased the hate that I got. A lot of the stories ended up being very personal about my life, which I did not appreciate whatsoever, so entering the season, I was already VERY wary of her. From the very beginning, she made it clear that she did not like me, and told me that she would harm me if I ever pissed her off. She did things like sniff Cody's shoe lace between her noses, and using a mouse as well as a pizza carton as a laptop. We had a conversation about the stories that she planted about all of us and our lives, and told her that she needed to stop that, since she was involved with the cast. Sierra took no responsibility for riling up the fanbase against people that she dislikes, and didn't promise to stop once we all returned home. When the whole... situation happened, I think Sierra was more mad about it than Courtney was, which says... A LOT. When she started mentioning about liking my relationship with Duncan, it came from a passive-aggressive manner, since she was pushing that on the blogs, due to Heather paying her to while the last season was airing, and she knew that it bothered me. She even did this in "All-Stars", even after we broke up. A part of me did feel bad for her on that season, but when she started harassing Cameron, that crossed the line for me. Anyways, I'm getting too far ahead. Once we got home from "World Tour", not only did she start spoiling the show, but she started spilling information about my FAMILY and sent A LOT of hate towards me as the season aired, but she forgot that I also had an online platform, where I could expose HER. With every episode and post she used to slander me, I slandered her RIGHT BACK, and it went on all season."
Josh started smiling, and went to nibble grossly on some grapes, "Yes, YES I REMEMBER ALL OF THAT. It was SO JUICY seeing the both of you read the FUCK out of one another, and spill ALL the tea with every episode airing of "World Tour". I do think that it was fucked up for you to reveal that Chris dumped her mother as a one-night stand, and she thought you were his daughter, until it was proven to not be. How in the HELL did things cool down after that?"
The former goth continued her story, "Well, when we were on the yacht, Cody got the two of us in the room, and told us to end the feud. We both actually decided to end it, and we stayed out of the other's way for the entire time we were on there, though Cody did tell me some thing about their relationship that I thought was foul. By the time we filmed "All-Stars", it was no secret that Duncan and I had problems, so Sierra CONSTANTLY mentioning how CUTE we were, even after we broke up was her passive-aggressive way of pissing me off. She continued getting really creepy with her Cody obsession, and I knew that he was going to dump her after this. Sierra also spilled a lot of details about their relationship, and I decided to pocket it, just in case she got out of hand. Early on in the season, Cameron and Sierra got drunk, and some... things happened, that I am sure Cody would not have approved of. She was pissing everyone off, and I DID feel sorry for Sierra, so we booted her. We got into a fight a few days earlier about Cameron, and that she was foul for what she did to him. When we got home, and watched the season play out, Sierra claimed that I was the reason why Cody dumped her, and started the slanderous stuff once again, and I let it RIP. I told EVERYONE that her and Cameron engaged in sexual activities, and she apparently tried to get pregnant with his kid. When Sierra saw me at the finale party, she was PISSED, and we got into a HUGE fight. I was not shocked that she was sent into a mental institution center, and Cody somehow blamed me for getting her sent in there. While she was in the institution, I sent her a restraining order, which I think is going to expire soon to be honest."
"Do you remember anything about Tyler? At all," Josh asked with a monotone tone on his voice, "I know he's very irrelevant, and you two were never on the same team, but there must be something."
Gwen had a blank look on her face when she saw the picture, "Not really. He just kissed Lindsay, and I thought that he was really lame. Tyler didn't really interact with me much in the "Action" Aftermath, outside of hanging out with Cody at times. He was pretty saddened about Lindsay hooking up with Justin or something, so everyone spent a lot of the time cheering him up. I felt like Lindsay conveniently played dumb at times, so she could flirt with whomever she wanted. I didn't feel any anger towards Tyler about telling Duncan and I's kiss, and I told him to not blame himself. Us, LeHarold, and Lyler went out on a few dates together, and... NONE of them went well. Him and Lindsay couldn't even hold a conversation."
"Thank goodness that's over," Josh signed, before getting up to gather another stack of pictures, "So now it's time to talk about the second generation cast that you played with on your final season. Cameron is first on the list."
A smile formed on her face, once a picture of Cameron were handed to her, "I felt bad for Cameron for a few reasons. One was because he had to deal with Sierra's delusions, and I already knew the damage that she did to Cody. Another one was that the Villains were talking mad shit about him from the VERY BEGINNING. It never made sense to me, and I think they were jealous that he won and became popular on his season. Overall, I wanted to protect him, and be the mother bear that people like Leshawna, and Bridgette were to me when I was still an awkward loner who didn't have much life experience. Once he started talking, and his knowledge came out, I really came to respect him, and his tragic family life REALLY GOT to me. He wanted to know about my journey through "Total Drama", and he NEVER judged me about it, so it was another reason why I respected him. When he got mad at me during his final episode, I didn't understand why, but we ended up clearing things up. Once the season finished, I introduced him to all of my TD friends, and he took a liking to all of them. He had to go through the same confusing dilemmas that I went through with attending some of my first parties. Watching Cameron's process in becoming a man was fascinating to watch, and we're still very close. I'm proud of the man he has become, and what he was able to use, in order to invest in with his prize money, WHICH HE SPLIT WITH THE ENTIRE CAST."
"How nice... I guess, while also painfully boring. Did you ever have sex with Cameron, since that's kind of your thing?" Josh rudely questioned. All Gwen did was stick up a middle finger, "I get the message. What do you think of Eva 2.0?"
Gwen took Jo's picture, "She was a bitch from the very beginning. Her lame nicknames of "Gothball", "Kisser", and a bunch of other lame nicknames, which only got worse and worse, because they just were not clever. I usually enjoy someone who hates Heather, but Jo was just so unpleasant, and was ALMOST as unlikable as Heather. I found it INSULTING that she tried to kiss ass to me, after being a nuisance for 2 episodes, and she also made some more slut shaming and sexist comments behind the scenes. What WAS interesting was that Zoey spilled ALL the tea about Jo after she left."
Josh's curiosity increased, and he moved closer to the table, "OOOOOOHHHH. Now you GOTTA spill. I know NOTHING about the second generation cast, so the more I know, the BETTER."
"Well, Zoey is one of the few people who Jo shockingly doesn't hate, so they had some communication in between seasons. Apparently Jo agreed to work with Brick this season, but him and Anne Maria were dropped from the cast last minute. She was shocked, and disappointed when he wasn't around, and Zoey said that she was a lot bitchier due to it. Jo didn't have anyone to work out with this season, since they worked out together in the last season every day. Zoey ALSO told me that they hooked up at Anne Maria's "ROTI" finale party, and Jo thought that no one heard them. Jo's all talk, and she's mad because she's too scared to own her femininity, which she really wants to. It makes sense why she hated Heather so much."
All he could do was laugh, "JO, JO, JO. What a mess she is. I kind of almost feel bad for her. Anyways, Lightning is next. What did you think of him?"
Gwen used her right hand as a gun, and pretended to shoot her head, "OH MY GOODNESS. I only spent like a few days with him, and Lightning was EASILY the most annoying person I've EVER dealt with, which says a lot, with the nutjobs that were cast on this show. Like, he ALWAYS speaks in the third person, and NEVER SHA-SHUTS UP. The conversations, and I use that word SARCASTICALLY, since he has NO IDEA how to have one, went NOWHERE. Apparently, he was going through being emancipated right before we filmed the season, since himself and his father got into it VERY badly, and his mother did nothing to help them out either way. He ended up staying at Anne Maria's for a while. Zoey also spilled that he was living at Scott's, Brick's, Sam's, B's, Dakota's, and even Dawn's at one point or another throughout the last year, but he was at Anne's when the season was filmed. He was expecting his roommate to be on the season, and was pissed she was cut last minute. He had no allies, since Jo was a dumbass."
"Ooh, look at the tea being spilled. Anyways, Mike is next. Do you remember interacting with him, when he... WAS Mike?"
"The only thing I remember about interacting with him in the season was him laughing about shooting Duncan and I in the eel challenge, and I can't blame him. I didn't get tot know him until after the season was filmed. He told me a lot about his traumas, and seeing Alejandro and Heather use that against him during the premiere and finale parties, as well as social media DISGUSTED ME, so I stood up for him. He really appreciated everything I went through, and he told me the REAL story of what happened with Mal and Duncan in prison; of course it was not like the story Duncan told people through the season, since Duncan was the aggressor AS USUAL. We have remained close through the season, and I helped him plan his engagement with Zoey. I was a bridesmaid at their wedding, I decorated their home, and even planned their wedding. Mike's a good person, and I don't think he deserved all of the flack that he got for going on the show with his D.I.D."
Josh was starting to get bored, "Alright, that's nice enough... I guess. Sam, Scott, and Zoey are the final 3 people from the cast that you competed with. You can just ramble, or shortly summarize your experiences with them."
Gwen started getting bored herself, "My one experience with Sam was in my cameo on their season, where we were both buried alive together. He was INSUFFERABLE the entire time, as he farted the place, started rambling on and on about more gaming facts that no one cared about, was still somewhat upset about his elimination, and rambled on and on about his romance that I gave no fucks about. He REALLY got me to appreciate Harold, which says a lot. I didn't speak to him whatsoever in "All-Stars" partially because I forgot he was there. Harold is almost too much for me, so why would I want to deal with Sam? Also, I never liked Scott from the beginning. I was expecting him to be more cunning and evil, especially after watching their season, but he was just really dumb, really smelly, and really annoying. Every time we tried to talk, where we tried to strategize or get to know one another, it always went nowhere, and Scott couldn't even pretend to be interested. I never got what Courtney saw in him, and him being close with Duncan DID NOT help his case in my eyes. Things took a turn once Courtney self-imploded, since he started raging on me, blaming ME for booting Courtney when HE was the one who turned on her with no convincing, and HE voted her out. To me, it seemed like he was just deflecting, and he went on SEVERAL rants that weren't shown. He continued this at the "All-Stars" premiere party, and I punched him in the face for the foul things he said to me."
"HAHAHAHAHAHA, good for you. Scott deserves it, but I wish that we got to see footage of that. The only footage we got from that party was Alejandro and Heather beating everyone up," Josh laughed. "Zoey is the final person, and please do not bore me to deal with this one."
"Well, Zoey broke down the love triangle between her, Mike, and Anne Maria on their season, and it was actually WORSE than what was shown, and that there was a lot of drama while the season was airing. She felt bad for my situation in my own love triangle, so we had that commonality. Zoey was also worried about her relationship with Mike crumbling this season, so she asked me nicely about how to not turn out like Trent and I, which I helped her with. Once the merge happened, she helped me with my anxiety during that Zeke challenge, and I went with her, Cameron and Mike because Courtney ditched me for Scott. It wasn't until I started hanging out with Zoey that I realized that Courtney was not a good friend. She never held things over my head, went out of her way to understand how I was feeling, and there wasn't so much needless drama. When she told me to vote off Al, it wasn't just for Cameron, but for all of the stuff he did to people I considered friends, and she knew about all of it. Once Courtney started getting jealous of Zoey, I had enough. Zoey has remained being a good friend of mine, and we have a lot of similar interests about movies, fashion, and stuff. It has been a joy taking her out in the world, so she could grow up and enjoy life too. I was shocked when she made me a bridesmaid at her wedding. I really like Zoey, and she doesn't deserve the flack she's been given either."
Josh was getting ready to wrap things up, "Have you met any of the non-competing second generation cast, or the third generation cast whatsoever?"
Gwen laughed "HELL NO I haven't met anyone from that atrocious Pahkitew cast. Or if I did, I went out of my way to forget about it. Actually, I did go to Australia to visit Bridgette while the spinoff was filming, and she was there with Jasmine, who was nice enough. Some of the other girls were there, but I didn't care to speak to them. Holy fuck the casting team went to shit on that season. I did interact with most of the non-competing people from "Revenge", but nothing substantial came out of it, and it was only through the parties that my friends hosted. Brick is cool from what I remember, but he was also standoffish. Anne Maria is pretty close to Leshawna, so I met her a few times, and I met Dawn and Dakota a few times through Bridgette. "
"Alright, it's time to talk about the final person, and that's Trent. You two seemed like you would go the distance, and were the main couple in "Island", but broke up a few days afterwards, once "Action" took place. You two did not speak for many years, and then got back together. What was the journey behind that.
She went to grab a bottle of water, and drank it while blushing, before she started rambling, "Oh wow, that's such a rollercoaster. Things kind of took off immediately, and I found him such a handsome man to look at, so we kind of started smiling and checking one another out. We started talking during the sleeping challenge, and he told me... his life story essentially. There was a lot more to him than met the eye, and it's a shame that the show only showed him as my love interest, instead of showing the cool stuff about him. He's a HUGE biker, and made Duncan look like an amateur, and he also got a few tattoos that no one knows about. Anyways, we would hang out by the beach every day, and I got to see his glistening body, and I was so ashamed of acting like a girly girl. Bridgette and Geoff started doing the same thing, so we all started hanging out. Trent knew about my fears, and especially my insecurities with guys and "cool people", so when he left me buried alive, it dug deep, and he KNEW he fucked up. He knew about my abandonment issues at that point in time."
Josh had a quizzical look on his face, "I never got this. You were mad for him when it happened, but you kind of hooked up with him the episode afterwards, only to be mad about it several episodes, once the teams merged once and for all. What is with the discrepancies?"
"I actually gave him a silent treatment for... a day or two after the incident, but... he started charming me with his words, his talents, his eyes, and his hair. He started to sing, and I just... forgot about it all over again. We actually talked it out on the boat in the next challenge, and I made him work the hell out of that apology. Him and I actually didn't speak that much for the next few challenges. Of course the whole situation with Trent and Heather broke my heart, but I should have realized that it was a rouse from the beginning. Seeing how hard he wanted to make it up to me in the finale was amazing, and I was really grateful. We were able to spend a week or two at Playa des Losers, as we did some exit interviews virtually, and via online press interviews, so Trent and I had a lot of fun too. We got to... he took my virginity, and it was one of the most amazing things ever. When we were able to spend 2-3 days in the real world, and we saw how popular we were, I think it got to our heads, and we realized the pressure that was put on us."
A grin started forming on his face, "Yes, things did take a turn relatively quickly. If I remember correctly, I don't even think you two were in a relationship for a month. How did you feel about the breakup, and all of the backlash?"
Gwen tried calming herself down with some breathing exercises, "We both were affected by the fan reaction, but in different ways. I think it made Trent more paranoid and toxic, while it made me clam up a lot more, since I was used to being in the background. Duncan and I were getting along, and they had some weird tension, so it was just a recipe of disaster. We were both in our first relationships, and then you had the producers telling the both of us stuff that made each of us paranoid. It was the right thing for Trent and I to break up, since he was throwing challenges, and throwing below the belt insults. He owned up to his part in the Aftermaths, and I owned up to mine. We both had a private conversation, where we were seemingly in agreeance on where things ended, and we even started to somewhat hangout afterwards. Once he rambled on and on in the finale, it was like he didn't change, and played the victim again, so I didn't speak to him for over a year."
"Yeah, it was kind of fucked up how everyone took Trent's side, and it does show how people are misogynistic with what men can do, compared to women, won't you agree?"
"I agree that women get treated differently, but I don't know if I blame Trent on that. What I DO blame Trent on for is how he milked the attention once the season aired, and once he got into the Drama Brothers. I sent him a LONG text message saying that I didn't appreciate him throwing me under the bus, and he started acting like a douche. He never responded to me. Once I was booted from "World Tour", he was shocked for some reason about Duncan and I being together, though I could tell that he was bothered by it. We started getting to know one another as friends, and he did apologize to me about everything. The both of us promised to be friends after leaving "World Tour", which only heightened once Leshawna and Harold started bringing him around. I was annoyed a bit, but was quickly thrilled, since this was the first time that we got to hang out in real life, and with no pressure. He knew that things were tense, and would always ask me what happened, but I wouldn't delve into it. When we were on the yacht, Duncan made me promise him to not hang out with Trent at all. Him and I did speak a bit before "All-Stars", and he admitted that he was still in love with me, and how he regretted getting into relationships with Katie and Sadie."
Josh choked on his drink, causing him to heave, and to recover his breath, "Wait, did I hear that right? Trent declared his love for you, despite the two of you breaking up for several years at that point? So you DID have an affair? And he dated Katie AND Sadie?"
She shook her head in denial, "No, it wasn't like that. He did declare his love for me, and we were talking about our regrets for the last few months before that. I didn't get the chance to respond, since the season started filming. Once Duncan and I broke up, I saw Trent at the "All-Stars" finale party, and we... hooked up. I panicked after realizing what was done, and I didn't want to be involved in any sort of romance. I told him what happened, and that I did not want to be in any sort of relationship for now, and he understood it, since The Drama Brothers were finishing up their last tour. I just wanted to go to school, and focus on myself, while also getting to know Trent as a friend, so we could take our time. Our relationship fell apart because we had no time to get to know one another in a real setting, that did not involve the cameras, and meddling producers. It took about... 2 years for us to be official, and then an additional 2 years for us to move in together. We have lived together for about 3 years, and it's lovely now. I've really appreciated us taking the time to really get to know one another again, and to take it slow, with no pressure."
"Coming from the bottom of my heart, I am proud of the both of you, and not needing to rush into anything," Josh admitted with a smile on his face. "Now, we've reached to the end. Summarize for me what you have been through since "Total Drama" ended?"
Gwen had a huge smile on her face, "Well, I started going to school for Art History after "World Tour", but I really put my all into it after "All-Stars", and started traveling for my studies. We never got the chance to enjoy the places we went to while on the show, so I really took this opportunity to widen myself culturally. Some of these places I stayed at for like 6 months. I turned my Youtube channel into an Art History channel, and it's been very successful. Putting my creations on Instagram have also helped me, and I've taken requests on the platform, which makes me quite a bit of money. I've worked at several museums over the years, and I am hoping to open up my own exhibition someday. The show taught me to open up to people, and to stop being so judgmental, since that's been something that I've always dealt with. I've also learned that cutting out drama instantly is the way to go, and not putting yourselves in bad positions to be drama magnets is smart. Thank you for this, and now it's time for me to go." Gwen instantly got up without waiting for a "goodbye" or any final word from the interviewer.
