There was never a choice PART 2

Gregory sat there mortified. The words he was hearing were… they were one thing for sure that his young brain wouldn't be able to process. If it even was a brain, he was just told he wasn't even alive. He couldn't think about that for a long time.

His eyes peered towards Vanessa… Elizabeth… he wasn't sure, she seemed as equally shocked as he was. Freddy, or Michael, or whatever wasn't. His body was fully focused on the terrifying yellow rotting rabbit.

"Why won't you die?" The robot bear asked the yellow rabbit. Who stared at him. His mouth shut tight but other than that he didn't move. He then turned his head towards Gregory, his eyes piercing into whatever was inside Gregory.

He took a step towards the boy, Freddy reacted instantly. When he did so, the robot bunny turned his head towards Freddy, he lifted his hand sharply but let it hang limply in the air. Freddy instantly started to malfunction, falling back into the seat he was given his head twitching and jolting.

Gregory stood up, regaining any missing strength he once had. He started to cry again, just like he did all those years ago. "Freddy?! FREDDY! WHAT'S HAPPENING?"

Vanessa returned her attention to Freddy, her wide eyes unreacting as the animatronic glitched out. Her mind vividly began to remember something, something akin to whatever Freddy was going through. The yellow bunny, the thing she'd encountered in her glitch when trying to create the new video game that saved the company's image. That was just an encoded copy she found, this was the real thing. Her entire body froze up immediately, just to stare at that monster. She knew what he did, she learned through all the little tricks and bits they found in the code of the games. He'd murdered children, a dozen at least. Then he'd stuff them into the robotic suits. That's probably another reason the animatronics can carry so much in their stomach cavities. They were designed based off of the creators murderous intentions.

The murderous robot looked at her for a moment, for her to only look back and to reveal all the fear within herself. "HEHEHEHEH YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-" His voice lagged out before clearing violently, "YOUR FEAR WILL CONSUME YOU D-D-D-DAUGHTER"

Vanessa leaned back, shocked and dazed. She kept herself from passing out but didn't react at all, she just kept a terrified face over her gaze.

The yellow bunny continued to walk towards Gregory, the other 'siblings' keeping their eye on both Gregory and their apparent father.

The robot loomed over Gregory, staring down at the boy. The ears over his head moved side to side with a gut wrenching scratch as the rust caught in the gears and what looked like spring locks.

"Y-Y-Y-YOU WERE THE FIRST" The Bunny started, before thrusting his hand onto Gregory's throat. He squeezed, threatening to close off the boy's windpipe. With the strength the suit gave him, he could easily do it.

Gregory only managed to put a face of absolute horror among his expressions. Nothing but fear and terror. He could feel the cold hideous metal wrapping around his throat. The dried shriveled up bits of flesh along his skin, the feeling of bones that never decayed touching him. He wanted to scream, but all he could do was grab the arm and try to pull him off.

"STOP IT F-F-FATHER" Freddy yelled, still unable to move an inch due to his animatronic body failing.

"A-A-A-AFTER YOU DIED, I GOT MY REVENGE FOR YOU. I-I-I-I KILLED THOSE ROTTEN CHILDREN THAT KILLED YOU. I-I-I-I-I KILLED THE ONES THAT NEVER CONSIDERED YOU. T-T-T-THEN I KILLED MORE." The yellow bunny explained, his grip tightening more and more on the boy's neck.

It almost looked like he was going to kill Gregory. The boy's eyes were turning red, and his movement was becoming more and more panicked.

Just as it started though, it ended. The robot dropped the boy who fell onto the chair taking deep breaths. Freddy and Vanessa relaxed for the moment, no longer panicking the same way they were a moment ago.

"I will finish my mission father. You will pay for your crimes." Freddy asked, almost seeming like he regained functions of his system.

The monster lumbered to the side, lifting it's hand just enough to meet Freddy's face, "QUIET!" His voice called with terrifying power. At that moment, Freddy suddenly shut down, falling to the ground.

Gregory screamed, he tried to run to Freddy's side, tears running over him the entire time. His body frantically shaking in a terrified panic.

The monster swung his arm, hitting Gregory and throwing him to the wall at the back of the room. His head hit the wall hard, even leaving a little crack. Despite that, he just seemed out of it, there was no blood leaking from his head. There was no cracking sound of bone that would be his skull. Yet Gregory was done, there wouldn't be any waking up from that for a few hours.

This left Vanessa and the monster together for the remaining time. She was stuck in her Vanny outfit, which the monstrous creature just stared at for a few silent minutes. All she could was stare back, or look away when he met her gaze. Tears were running from her eyes too, she looked at the two other boys in the room, a shock going through her. What was she to do.

The monster limped towards her, coming next to her. She sat there looking down at the table and the cake slice with the picture of the baby looking figure on the cake. She had no idea what she was going to do, she couldn't do anything. In her pocket she felt a hand crank, she could try to use that.

She was too late to the punch though, the dark figure grabbed it before she could, lifting it up, "ELIZABETH, DO Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-YOU REMEMBER YOUR BIRTHDAY? D-D-DO YOU REMEMBER WHAT I SAID ABOUT T-T-T-T-THE ROBOTS… FOOLISH."

The yellow bunny just looked over the crank for a few moments. He'd used it before, for what Vannessa would never know, but she remembered it. She remembered somebody was very attached to it.

The robot threw it to the side. Shuffling to the outside of the room leaving claw marks on the doorway as it shuffled down the hall. She heard the sound of one of the recharge stations open then close, shutting tight.

She was confused, why would he just leave like that? It didn't make sense. She honestly believed she was about to die, about to get her soul ripped out of her body or something. Yet other than knocking the other two out, it didn't do a damn thing.

Then the building they were in started to shake, like the structure was no longer stable, and in all honesty it probably wasn't. Vanessa ran out to look over the hallway, trying to determine what was causing the building to break down.

What she saw, she would never forget. A massive slithering group of wires and cords, mixed with endoskeletons and faces, one of which was the baby face that was on her slice of cake. She hid in the room, as it slithered by, checking every now and then. After a few moments she looked back into the hallway, and the wire thing had stopped moving. She was confused, until she saw a white and brown face show itself. She ducked, praying it didn't see her. It screeched with the sound that could only be described as the screams of many children, angry screams.

Tears began to run down her face again. There was nothing to protect her, nothing to hide behind. Freddy was knocked out, and the kid wouldn't be of much use to the problem. She covered her mouth as the creature began to slither down, its grinding steel and copper getting ever so closer. Finally she could see it's head, she hid deeper into the corner, praying that the shadows hid her.

Freddy's limpless body too laid in the shadows, and Gregory was hidden by the table. That didn't stop the creature from staring into the room, looking around. Then it slowly pulled its head away, moving on. She watched as the heap of amalgamated metal slithered away in this labyrinth building.

Vanessa sat there, crying and bawling her face away. She had no idea what to do, everything that had just been said was entirely world breaking. What the hell was that, what was she? Freddy wasn't what he was supposed to be, neither was Gregory.

Vanessa's head started to hurt, the burning feeling unable to reside somewhere else. Her mind began to panic, feeling like it was collapsing on itself. Scared and afraid she became paralyzed.

"O-Officer Vanessa?" The awfully familiar voice of Freddy called.

Vanessa lifted her head up, looking towards the direction of the voice. She stumbled over next to him, looking over him. His eyes glowing again.

In a jolt like motion, Freddy lifted himself up, his eyes twitching and adjusting for a few moments. Then he stood up, looking down at Vanessa at his feet. He stared at her, his head tilting a little at her desperation. He looked around, noticing the surroundings.

"Officer Vanessa, Are you okay?" His cherishing and calm voice asked.

Vanessa nodded, standing up and wiping her tears, "Freddy we need to all get out of here. Gregory is out cold and there is something outside that is trying to get in and.. Well I think it's after us. Open your stomach cavity, we need to get the kid out of her first.

Vanessa approached the boy, picking him up. His unconscious state hanging limply in her arms.

Freddy opened his chest cavity, a panic went through his mind seeing Gregory in the state that he was in. He rushed over to Vanessa towering over her, he looked over Gregory fear sharpening in his mind. "G-Gregory? Is he alright Officer Vanessa, I do not detect…"

"Gregory is fine Freddy, he's breathing and that's what counts. Now be quiet and watch out for anything dangerous." She snapped, quickly placing Gregory safely into Freddy before letting him close his stomach cavity.

From that point they were ever more careful with each step. Vanessa led the group, taking point at each corner or door. She had her large flashlight, checking the rooms for anything or down the hallway to see slithering. Then they kept moving, until they got to the hole in the wall with a makeshift stairway leading to the exit.

She let Freddy take point after that, letting them crawl up towards where the elevator was. There would have been some stairs nearby, it was company policy. Though she would have no idea where those stairs would lead.

Freddy made his way up slowly, he was extremely careful. If he turned too much, or bent in uncomfortable ways he could easily break Gregory. "Officer Vanessa… Where are we?" The robot asked, clueless to the last hour of events.

Vanessa rubbed her head, trying to focus on the answer. She had a faint answer from earlier, something about a former location, honestly her head was full with illogical nonsense. She really wasn't sure if she was dreaming or not.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a soft rumbling, then the sound of wires and steel grinding on the floor again. Vanessa knew what it was and knew it was coming back to its nesting spot. She hid behind Freddy's shadow.

Wire started to go back through the walls, with junk and scrap trapped in it. The big freddy head wasn't present though. The rest, the amalgamation of junk and scrap was all there, sliding past the two in long snake like movements.

Freddy kept moving, realizing there was nothing he nor Officer Vanessa could do. They pushed on, though Vanessa stuck glued to Freddy's shaddows staying hidden by them . They didn't run into the creature and more after that. The rest of the trip back up to the main corridor was short.

When they got to the top, Vanessa ran around looking for an escape. The elevator slumped and was malfunctioning internally, showing the real danger to actually use it. Instead she found some stairs, towards the back end of what looked like a small town pizzeria. She ran past that, Freddy close behind her as they shot up to the normal room. They busted through the doors at the end of the hallway.

What they found was some supply closet, the door they exited was hidden by cleaning supplies and janitorial clothing. The door shut after they left it, out of curiosity Vanessa tried to open it again. It wouldn't budge, no key hole allowed somebody to open from the other side either.

Freddy and Vanessa back into the Pizzaplex, moving cautiously to the other animatronics present. Their bodies were destroyed and their systems damaged. In all the years the Freddy Fazbear establishment has been around since the mysterious founders, she doubted anybody did more damage than the kid did. Still though they were stuck in the same boat. Somehow they were connected to the establishment's darkness. She had no choice but to leave him unpunished. It was the only choice if she wanted to get some answers. He seemed pretty key, with the monster attacking him so directly.

The animatronics were stuck on the floor. Even the decommissioned Bonny vessel. She had no idea how it got here, it's systems were shut down and key components were removed. After the whole incident where Bonnie attacked a man in purple, they had no choice.

"Crap… Freddy, I'm gonna need your help. We have to get these guys repaired. Go… Drop off the kid at the daycare or some crap. Then get back here and help me fix this mess. We gotta take those parts you stole before management freaks out and dismantles you, fires me, and kicks the shit out of that kid." She walked over to the most damaged animatronic, picking up one part of monty, his body barely working anymore.

Freddy chuckled, "I would love to help Officer Vanessa, b-but Gregory has been banned from the daycare… Though I may be able to leave him somewhere close by?

Vanessa started to drag the animatronic to the closest elevator, needing to get them all by the main stage so she could take the parts and repair. She waved her hand, not responding to Freddy.

Freddy left quickly, heading towards the daycare. The sunlight had just started to shine into a few of the party rooms. Within the next two hours employees would be rushing into the center. In another 2 hours guests would come flourishing in.

Freddy found the daycare's attendant room. His new eyes caught something behind the walls though. It looked like a small room. Freddy found a path towards it, of course some doors blocked his path but he opened them without any trouble. Freddy poked his head inside, the room being attacked by a small tunnel hidden by plenty of construction equipment. Though next to it was a poster that could easily be disguised as decor.

Freddy crawled into the room with great difficulty, still being careful not to hurt Gregory. The room he found himself in was… a mess. Trash in the corner, a little pad and a few torn up blankets. A box of bandaids and some security bots that had been taken apart. Somehow an arcade machine was in the room. It looked like somebody was living here.

Freddy looked over some of the clothes, finding them small and child size. He managed to connect the dots, determining that this was Gregory's room. He opened his chest cavity, picking Gregory up carefully. He placed him on the rugged mattress in the room. If he could show more facial features, he'd look more sorry. Still, he stroked the boy's head, compassionate and kind to the kid as always. Freddy looked over the boy. He'd find something better for him later, but he left him there for now.

Freddy ran off to find officer Vanessa and his friends. He grabbed Chica who was slumped over the floor and Roxy who was sitting against the back of the wall. Officer Vanessa already had Bonnie and Monty all packed up in the elevator.

For Vanessa the experience was a bit distorting, with Monty in two, Chica without her beak, and Roxy without her eyes it was all a bit scarier than it should have been.

Vanessa and Freddy took the animatronics to parts in repairs, Vanessa grabbed extra parts being new eyes for Freddy and Roxy. She found Freddy's original hands and put them back on, but decided to get Monty new hands. They had just received them anyway, they were much safer, but could still be used to play his guitar. As for Chica, Vanessa replaced Freddy's voice box with his old one and gave Chica hers again. However she showed Freddy where her extra voice boxes were. There were only two left, as they were expensive to recreate.

Vanessa found spare exoskeleton parts and repaired the damaged models to the best of her ability, functional enough to justify they were worn down a bit. She did end up having to entirely replace the suit plates on each animatronic. To help keep her higher ups from questioning why some pieces were dirty and others were not she put them all into a cleaning room.

When everything was said and done, the animatronics looked almost back in working order. Freddy had been helping a bit with the carrying, so he was already online. Though after replacing the power banks in each animatronic, or at least repairing them a bit she started the reactivation sequence. It would take a few moments.

"Officer Vanessa?" The big bear asked her, standing nearby as they both watched their 'friends' come back to life.

"Gregory lives here, I-I found his room… He is homeless… That is why he has not been found on the records." The robotic bear spoke, rubbing his hands together.

Vanessa was always a little uneasy about why the animatronics were so human-like. She didn't exactly call herself a fan, but it added compassion to the robots so she guessed it made sense. "I see… Well… It's not like he can leave. All three of us are connected to whatever that thing is down there. We have to stick together, it… it might even be safer like that."

Vanessa looked at her watch, seeing her reflection. She could hear a giggle in the back of her brain. The rabbit was still there, rooted deep inside of her.

"I'm coming for you~" It called… "I always come back"
