Hello everybody and Happy New Year to. Let's hope for a good one.
This is a short story being a combination of MCU, and DC comics.
For Peter is post No Way Home events so following the worldwide mind wipe, and using his homemade classic suit created in the movie.
DC is using the events of Jason shooting Penguin among a mix of other DC stuff.
For being a Tony Stark or Bruce Wayne fan, this story is not for you so go complain at your own risk.
Gotham City during the night
An orange portal opens, because of Dr. Strange, as Peter wearing his Spider-Man skydives out of it with doing a flip in midair firing a web onto a nearby building while swinging onto a roof where a disturbing scene is taking place. A scene of Batman beating Jason Todd up that is being filmed onto live television all from Red Hood merely shooting Penguin.
The normal quipping is out since while Jason and he never have exactly been friends, mostly cause Jason was never a fan of his hero worshiping of Stark, well the Dark Knight crossing a line to beating up a teenager simply due to disliking Red Hood's methods is too far.
Sure, nobody really likes Frank Castle among the Avengers or Defenders, but they don't go out of their way to hunt him down or enforce their codes on Castle. Even Matt knows on having opposite views of dealing out justice is fine.
Besides there's a difference between putting bad guys in the ground and not caring about innocents caught in the crossfire. Ironically Peter notes in disgust Tony Stark was more unconcerned with innocent lives between building Ultron and EDITH compared to The Punisher.
"Let him go" Spider-Man growls.
"Stay out of this" Batman yells "Red Hood's deserves this and it's my city."
"For what shooting Penguin? You demand everybody conforming to your childish view of refusing to kill for terrified it turns somebody into a monster" Spider-Man fires back while walking closer.
"I expected if anybody would understand why I have to do this it would be you Spider-Man, you understand the need of not killing like me. And we are the same" Batman replies.
"No, we're not. I don't kill from not wanting to go down that dark road. You refuse to kill out of some childish view, and you've given Joker more leniency than other heroes even if they kill in self-defense" Spider-Man says.
Batman has no response with hearing movement turns seeing an orange portal close underneath Jason Todd. Looking back at Spider-Man giving a cheerful smug wave Bruce reaches into his belt grabbing dual pellets. Since nobody is going to humiliate him or his ideals of justice, especially in Gotham City. After all, his word is law in Gotham and the Justice League or wider hero groups.
Peter not even needing his spider-sense jumps up into the air away from the cloud of smoke, and flash grenade before landing back onto the ground. Letting Batman run into the smoke thinking the crazed nutjob as an advantage Spider-Man claps his hands together hard sending a powerful shock wave clearing the smoke away, and sending Batman flying back further onto the roof.
Quickly dashing over Peter rips off the Dark Knight's belt, gloves and boots faster than a human can blink thanks to his enhanced speed. Then Spider-Man webs down Batman's arms, midsection, and legs.
"You know regardless of how Tony Stark blackmailed me for getting involved in some Civil War mess involving Steve Rogers, which is why I stay out of hero groups with mostly stick to my backyard. Or cleaning up Iron Man's Beck mess in London that had far lasting ramifications, is despite all of that you still are worse" Spider-Man says sneers quietly.
Batman goes to speak only for Peter to web his mouth closed having had enough of the Dark Knight's talking.
"Nearly driving the third Robin to a mental breakdown for all part of training by making him spy on his friends, or punching Red Robin in the face just since you could. Almost beating Red Hood to death just now or brutally beating up Nightwing just after he came back from dying all so you could send him into Spiral as an undercover operative. Your supposed to be their father, not their abuser. You've treated your allies worse than the villains you face" Peter says.
Batman tries to speak only can't due to the web, and wonders how the web head vigilante knows all of this. However, due to Dr. Strange's spell cast has had his memory of Peter Parker's existence wiped out alongside Parker working alongside the extend Gotham City vigilantes.
Spider-Man just stares down at the webbed-up manic in a bat suit but decides against continuing the conversation having nothing left. While he could explain how they are not the same beyond just their codes. How Batman gets protection from the police due to Commissioner James Gordon, meanwhile Peter knows he is hunted down, or has trouble paying his rent on times while Bruce Wayne was raised in a wealthy mansion.
Even after Thomas and Martha Wayne were gunned down Bruce Wayne still had a butler. Meanwhile even losing their parents is not the same as Thomas and Martha got gunned down in a random mugging.
However, Uncle Ben while got killed by a mugger who he had let escape out of selfishness instead of stopping the thief when having the chance. Aunt May later got killed by Green Goblin due to a chain of events started by him when tampering with Dr. Stranger's original spell by wanting everything both ways. Peter reflects on his biological parents died in a plane crash when he was a very young kid.
Curling his hands into fists than slowly letting his hands go flat to disperse his anger Peter knows Batman and him are very from the same. Really Iron Man and Batman are more similar for being narcissist nut jobs used to their spoiled status removing them from facing consequences.
Deciding to quit spending time here, with Jason under the care of Dr. Strange, Spider-Man turns around running towards the edge before leaping off with firing a web-swinging back to Queen's, New York. Because needs to catch up on some sleep, it's exam week in college upcoming, his apartment's washer machine broke, and oh right missed a date tonight. So, all in all, Peter knows is typical Parker Luck, but is used to it by now.
Hope you all enjoyed this and let me know what you think in a review if you want.
I've seen from Batman stans including those who work at DC that claim Bruce Wayne is more relatable than Peter Parker. Simply since he's a human with no powers.
Yeah, never mind how utter garbage that is on multiple levels. Peter's a struggling normal guy from the streets just trying to pay the bills while Bruce Wayne has unlimited wealth and is raised by a butler.
Even their origins are different for Bruce's is commonly a random mugging. Peter's origin is more of two parts for a bullied teenager gets powers and learns about not being selfish when it led to his uncle dying.
I decided to throw in events of MCU's peter including No Way Home as I feel that Peter would be able to truly understand the abuse Bruce's partners get put through given his toxic relationship with Mr. Stark.
A major difference between the two not killing can be seen quite clearly in how DC and Marvel operate.
Bruce has DC's narrow-minded belief of anybody who kills regardless of a civilian, police officer, soldier, or otherwise a monster. Plus, how DC frequently portrays Superman and Batman in the right for lecturing on this belief. Apparently killing a bad guy makes you worse than Joker in DC's eyes.
Meanwhile, Marvel had some idiot that tried to say Steve Rogers didn't kill in World War Two only for that to be quickly changed. Even Peter Parker who has a no-killing belief generally refuses to kill out of not wanting to go down that dark road. Yet Peter and Wolverine are good friends or Peter's one of the nicer people to Frank Castle.
Another difference is DC has quite simply overexposed Bruce Wayne into everything including Justice League is more of Batman and friends.
While Spider-Man is a popular hero for Marvel they know he is not their only hero. Never mind Peter despite for some brief periods getting put in the Avengers or Fantastic Four it doesn't last long.
MCU had for years until 2016 never even involved Spider-Man involved until recently. Now I understand the legal rights mess behind all of that as they even tried to get Toby's Peter into the MCU years back when the first Iron Man film came out. However even still Marvel is not the Spider-Man company.
DC however has gone full steam into Batman as more or less could be called the Batman company without issue.
Until next time.
