Hermione and I sit on the dock of Black Lake her head in my lap after my final detention with Umbridge.

I've hid my scarred hand from her; saying that Umbridge only made me clean her spotless office without the use of magic; for some reason I felt like she didn't believe me.

She's reading aloud from a muggle book that she convinced me to allow her to read to me; it was called Romeo and Juliet-I believe-by this guy called Shakespeare.

She was reading the part about Romeo being an idiot and killing himself because he didn't realize that Juliet was still alive-sure it might have been the monks fault with the person he sent the letter along with; but it was such a juvenile thing to kill yourself as soon as you saw your 'love' dead.

"So... A wizard gave her a temporary sleeping draught so that she wouldn't be married away to a tyrant who didn't even really know her-so instead she chose the poor, exiled guy who she only knew for around-what-three days? Barely 72 hours?" I conclude as Hermione sits up.

"And then the parent blamed themselves for their children's stupidity and erected golden statues of Romeo and Juliet because they thought gold was good enough to replace their children?"

"Abby...you clearly don't see the beauty of the two lovers who would rather die then marry someone whom they never loved?" Hermione sighs.

"But it was such an idiotic concept, love at first sight? That only happens with a bloody love potion, I mean they would die for someone that they barely knew for two days. C'mon 'Mione be logical- it just doesn't happen," I argue, sensibly annoyed with her naive attitude towards this book.

"I don't believe you're being logical-," she growls. "You've never fell in love at first sight?"

"No-I tend not to love things I don't know-and as far I can remember I've only been in love once and honestly it took me a long time to realize that I was in love with her," I say rolling my eyes.

"Well I fell in love with you the first time that I saw you Abby! It is not a stupid concept unless you think I'm stupid!"

She stomps off as my face falls.

"Wait Hermione! I don't think that! Come back!" I cry, she pauses in the middle of the dock.

I stand up running to her, putting my hands on her shoulders.

"Look its not stupid-you're definitely not stupid, just its different for everyone? I love you?" I say.

She almost reluctantly gives in and smiles.

"I love you too-also Harry has invited you to the Boars Head in Hogsmeade for a meeting this Saturday," She adds as an afterthought.

"Uh...sorry I'm taken..."

"No not like that," she giggles. "I'll be there."

"Then I will be there too," I say kissing her.

Waking up Saturday morning I get dressed sluggishly realizing that I will have to interact with more Gryffindor that aren't Hermione.

I pull on a skirt with legging and a sweater-green and silver to support my and also to annoy Potter any way I can, I slip on my boots and leave my room hurriedly pulling my hair into a ponytail.

"Where are you going Yaxley?" I see Draco sitting in his black overcoat in front of the fire with Blaise Zabini and Theodore Nott.

"Uh..to study in the library," I say stuttering.

"Oh-right studying..." he wink at me.

"Malfoy you are so revolting at times," I laugh.

"Yet you dated me..."

"Ugh...don't remind me," I grin at him before leaving the common room and up the stair to the ground floor.

I wave to Astoria who was talking with Pansy before darting down the passage to Hogsmeade.

Everyone was preoccupied at the at the Three Broomsticks, Zonkos, or Honeydukes to escape this bitter October weather, the Boars Head is empty-or mostly empty, the only residents being a few straggling wizards or witches and of course Harry Potter.

He's alone so clearly Hermione hasn't arrived yet unless she was in the bathroom-if there was a bathroom in this dump of a pub.

I walk to the table he is sitting at and sit down in front of him.

"Potter," I say indignantly.

"Yaxley," He says indifferent towards me, his green eyes fixated on my own.

"What did you want with me?" I ask him curiously.

"You'll find out soon enough," he shrugs.

"Oh don't get smart-I know you really aren't for the 'chosen one', I'm a very busy person-there is so much that I would rather be doing then sitting here for whatever reason."

"Like Hermione...?"

"That is none of your bloody business Potter!"

"Guys?" I hear Hermiones voice say cautiously. "Everyone's here."

I turn to see her standing there, looking flustered, her nose tip red from the cool breeze outside.

"Everyone? Oh!" I look around her seeing dozens of students Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, but not a single Slytherin aside from myself.

Automatically my face pales and I know the only reason that I am here is for Hermione.

But why are we here anyways?

"What is she doing here?" A Hufflepuff named Zacharias Smith growls pointing at me.

"I have no idea," I answer honestly.

"Sure you don't- I'm betting you'll be reporting us to Umbridge some time soon," he says. "Cause you're her spy..."

I stand up and back him into a wall, although he was taller then me I didn't care as I gazed up at him angrily.

"I've been accused of so much but, I have never been accused of being a spy-you slimy little cockroach," I say. "Nor am I one."

Everyone is silent around me, even the dirty dishes stopped clinking from where the bartender was.

Feeling satisfied his silence I back away and grab my bag from on top of the table and look back to the amused crowd.

"Well? No need to stand around because I'm leaving. I assume that what everyone of you bloody wankers think-I'm Umbridges spy," I say starting to turn around before a new voice spoke.

A ginger twin gazes curiously down at me.

"Look you're not her spy-the way you told off Umbridge proves that much," he says. "And we could use your help."

"I don't even know what you guys brought m here for," I say throwing my hands up in defeat.

"Umbridge isn't teaching us practical use of the material we are learning; so we need to actually learn it otherwise it'll be a waste of a year," Harry says now speaking directly to me.

"Please for once can we put aside difference so that we can help each other?" Hermione interjects.

I sigh.

"Alright..." I give in and I receive cheers from almost everyone except from Ronald Weasley and Zacharias Smith.

I walk out of my common room under the cover of darkness with the excuse that I needed to see Madam Pomfrey because I was bloated.

I hurry to the fifth floor and walk with Hermione to the meeting place that Harry decided on.

We had to find another practicing place because Umbridge cancelled out clubs and associations that were or weren't related to the school such as Quidditch or the Gobstones club.

Hermione and I walk into the new room, the solid oak doors shutting behind us quickly and silently as it had when we opened it.

We already began working on 'stupefy' a simple stunning spell that was easy yet useful; I get paired with Ronald Weasley for the first time since we began this whole 'Dumbledores Army'.

We pull out our wands and before I can say 'good luck' I'm on my back stunned by his words.

As soon as I get feeling back I hop to my feet and shout 'stupefy' and he falls back and is stunned just as I was.

"Petrificus totalus!" He shouts and I laugh at his stupidity.

"Idiot that isn't how you say it! Flipendo!" He gets knocked back, angrily regaining his stance.

"Expelliramus!" He shouts and my wand flys out of my hand but as quickly as he says it I caught my wand midair.

"Incendio!" I growl fire erupting from the tip of my wand swirling towards the redhead.

He shields it off and I call back the fire feeling like I was finished for that night- I was getting so sick of this particular Weasley.

Each of the other Weasleys were kind and civil to me but Ronald has been rude and barbaric towards me for whatever reason.

Hermione rushed to my side placing her hands on my cheeks observing the minimal damage done to me.

"Why are you so worried about her? She's the one who bloody shot flames at me!"Ron growls.

"But are you hurt? Did she hit you?" Hermione growls.

"Well-no-but..."

"Then you're fine," She rolls her eyes and turns her attention back to me.

"Looks like you have a scratch here," She lovingly touches a place on my cheek, pulling away her finger with blood.

"C'mon lets go-I'm done for today," Hermione says sweetly and grabs my hand waving at everyone else as we leave the Room of Requirement and walk through the deserted corridors to the Astronomy Tower where she finds a hair tie and transfigures it into a rag that she wipes it along the scratch that I had forgotten was there.

"Hermione?" I say as she focuses her attention on my scratch.

"Yeah?"

"Do you want to come to on vacation with me this winter break since we can get out early?" I ask her.

She pauses cleaning my face.

"Abby...I don't know..."

"Please-you know that times are going to get rough and this might be the only chance that we have before things get hectic..."

She sighs tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Just the two of us?"

"Of course-just the two of us," I assure her.

"Fine...that sounds lovely," she grins and I kiss her happily, feeling like I've won the whole world.
