And the first episode chapter is done!Quick question: How would you guys like the flashbacks to be incorporated? I want to make them all different for each of my Rumplestiltskin/OC stories, and so far I have one where it's written like a diary entry with the episode, and I'm not sure what to do with this one. Should I make them separate chapters or should I include them in the episode chapters? I would love the feedback!
Hiriel watched as Snow White skinned the rabbit. The princess was a part of a group of women, and it seemed she was preparing their dinner.
They were in a clearing, and he was watching nearby from the trees.
He couldn't just walk up to them; he had met the princess on more than one occasion, and she would surely recognize him.
One never forgot their meeting with the Dovahkiin.
So, sneaking was the best way to go.
He prepared two spells, one in each hand, to cast, Invisibility and Muffle.
That way, he wouldn't be seen, and his steps would make no sound.
He put his hood up and cast the spells.
It was time to follow the princess and her group.

Emma kept glancing up and subtly looking around as she ate.
"What's wrong, Emma?" Mary Margaret asked.
"I don't know, I just can't shake the feeling that we're being watched."

Hiriel internally cursed when he heard that. So, the blonde woman with strange attire had very good instincts.
He could deal with that.
He watched as Snow White got up and went to the woods from the clearing, presumably to collect wood for their dying fire.
Hiriel had two options. Stay and watch or follow the princess.
His decision was made when one of the women went to follow.
He had seen that look on her face multiple times, sometimes on his own face.
It was the look of revenge.
For the love of Sheogorath, he was going to have to play the hero, wasn't he?

Hiriel looked on as the woman who followed Snow White pulled out a dagger. He assumed by her position; the dagger was going to be held up to the princess's throat.
He got ready to cast Frostbite, it wouldn't hurt the woman too much, it would be more of a shock and force her to drop the dagger.
By the Nine, he hated playing the hero! It would be so much simpler to kill the woman!
But no, he needed to gain their trust!
Even though Snow White would distrust him immediately upon seeing him.
He had never met the other women before, but surely, they have heard tales of the Dovahkiin.
Also known as a ruthless killer and thief who would do almost anything for coin.
And if you betrayed him? You better pray that he won't find you, or else he would do anything to ensure payment was made.
He shook his head to clear his thoughts, he needed to focus on the matter at hand.
The woman was about to ambush Snow White, so he readied his spell and waited.
The woman put the dagger to Snow White's throat…
And Hiriel unleashed the spell.

"Don't move. Phillip's gone because of- OW!"
Aurora dropped the dagger that was held against her throat.

Hiriel dispelled the invisibility spell.
Snow White was talking angrily to the woman, something about finding another way to channel her anger.
Hiriel couldn't care less.
"You know, most people say thank you whenever their life is saved," he drawled, bringing their attention to him.
He watched with a smirk as Snow White stiffened and turned to him.
"Dovahkiin," she greeted coldly, her hand going to the sword on her waist.
"At your service!" He bowed playfully.
Out of the corner of his eye, he watched as one of the other women from the clearing pulled a sword on him.
Oh, that won't do!
He quickly conjured up his Bound Sword, parrying the hit and disarming the woman.
"Tsk tsk," he tutted. "Is that any way to treat the man who saved Snow White from being murdered oh so horribly?"
BANG!!
Hiriel turned towards the source of the sound, only to see the woman with the strange attire holding a strange contraption.
"What have you done?" he gasped.
A loud noise like that would only do one thing…
And that was attract ogres.
If he had time to prepare, he probably could kill one or two.
But he hadn't any time to prepare.
"Run!" he exclaimed, running away from where he heard the steps of the ogres.

Hiriel didn't know how long he had been running, but he needed to catch back up with the women.
They would be useful to finding his True Love.
His lungs were burning from overexertion. He was not used to running like that. He needed a place to rest.
He looked up to see Snow White's decrepit castle poking out from behind the trees.
Perfect!

"What are you doing here?"
Hiriel looked up from where he was resting against the wall. "Resting."
Wasn't it obvious?
Snow White glared at him. "And how do we know you haven't gotten to the wardrobe yet?"
"What wardrobe?"
~0~0~0~
After they reluctantly explained what the wardrobe did, Hiriel was in a better mood. By Oblivion, he didn't even want to stab anyone, he was so happy!
He didn't let his excitement show, however. That was a weakness.
"Take me with you," he demanded gently.
"Why would we do that!? You're the Dovahkiin! You're worse than the Dark One!"
On any other occasion he would enjoy the compliment.
But now was not the time.
"I have reason to believe that my True Love is in this… Storybrooke."
He could feel the shock radiating off them.
"You?" Emma scoffed. "You have a True Love?"
"Indeed, I do, girly!"
"What, is she the Evil Queen or something?"
Hiriel glared at her. " He is the only one who can keep up with my darkness. How dare you compare him to that bitch!"
Emma looked a bit surprised at that. "Sorry, didn't mean to assume."
"Anyway," he said with a grin. "Let's go find that wardrobe!"

Things didn't work out as planned.
Cora arrived.
And as much he would've liked to be on her side now, he had made a commitment with Snow White and her group.
And he never backed out of a commitment.
Even though he wanted to strangle Emma at the moment for burning the wardrobe, he would refrain from doing so.
For now.
He followed them out of the nursery, daydreaming about strangling Emma until she turned blue in the face.
