So I've decided what to do with the flashbacks for this one. I'm gonna do drabbles for some of them, and then one shots for the rest. Enjoy!
Hiriel watched from the doorway as Rumplestiltskin spun his straw into gold. It was… fascinating to say the least.
The way the golden man spun the straw, turning it into gold with nothing but his magic…
He could watch it all day.
"Staring is rude, dearie!" the man in question spoke up, jolting Hiriel from his thoughts.
Hiriel smirked. He walked over to the spinning wheel, his tall frame looming over Rumplestiltskin as he bent down to look the man in the eye.
"And what are you going to do about it, dearie?"
Rumple giggled, leaning forward, and pressing a kiss to the taller man's lips.
Hiriel returned the kiss, smiling softly as he pulled apart from his lover.
Only Rumple got that smile.
"Rudeness forgiven?" Hiriel asked, a slight smirk on his face.
"I might need more payment to be sure," Rumple said, a matching smirk on his face.
"Happy to oblige."
They ended up not leaving the room for hours

Hiriel watched from the shadows as Rumple made a deal with some poor soul, not really paying attention, something about giving up her two children in exchange for prosperity for her kingdom.
He would regret not paying attention later.
He stood by as Rumple became frozen, fear in both of their eyes.
He needed to run.
They had talked about this before, on a night where Hiriel was almost lost due to a similar situation.
If it ever happened again, gods forbid, Rumple would rather Hiriel live than save him.
He took a deep breath and turned away from Rumple.
"Goodbye, love," he whispered as he blended into the shadows, leaving Rumple behind.
As he ran, he didn't notice as his favorite dagger fell off his belt.

He was alone, for the first time in… Divines knew how long.
He hadn't been alone, truly alone, since he had met Rumplestiltskin all those years ago.
Ever since he made that deal with him.
He needed to destroy something.
The castle was too quiet.
He stormed into his old room, the one he had before he had started sharing with Rumple.
He gathered his energy together and released a fireball to the room.
He watched it burn down bit by bit, a sadistic smile on his face as he did so.
He was going to get Rumple back.
