~NRK~

He sighed as he rubbed his head. Spiky black hair smoothed back before going back to normal as his black eyes blinked from the table.

"Obito-nii!"

"Yea, Obito-nii!"

Obito Uchiha smiled, fair skin pulling at the sides of his mouth. "What's going on, you two?"

"Aceman desires more pudding!" Said a small white boy with short black hair and blueish-gray eyes but the girl next to him blinked.

"... Hmm, isn't nii-chan, Aceman?" She asked, her skin as white as can be.

Her red eyes blinked as the boy next to her blinked in confusion as well, her long white hair, set in pigtails, flopping to the sides as they deliberated.

Obito snorted. "Shiro, Ganta, it's fine to call me whatever you want, alright?" He told them with a chuckle as both gasped in awe.

The three of them wore some form of dark green medical scrubs with socks on their feet.

The two had a cake in front of them, one of his make.

"Mm, Nii-Aceman!" Shiro declared and Ganta's eyes shined as he giggled.

"Nii-Aceman!"

"Yeah!"

He smiled for them but, in front of them, the door to the kitchen had someone enter and Obito's countenance changed as Shiro froze.

"Obito-kun!" Came the voice of the man ahead of them, Ganta blinking at the sight of him.

"Hagire… What do you want? Another cut-off arm?"

The man flinched imperceptibly and the former shinobi scoffed as the doctor held his bandaged-up right arm.

He had medium-length, wild, swept-back hair that came down to his shoulders, fair skin, and black eyes.

Dressed in a white lab coat, a white and light green striped shirt, tan pants, and brown shoes.

As said before, the man's arm was in a sling and wrapped up in bandages and tape.

"Nothing of the sort, Obito-kun!" He said as Obito stood. "Easy, easy, no need for that… but I do think you're messing with things you can't possibly understand," the teen raised a brow at him and Hagire Rinichiro smiled. "You understand who runs this place, yes?"

The new 'council' who wanted weapons made from people like Shiro.

"I do."

"Then you know that they aren't happy but they're intrigued by your existence, a boy as physically capable as you, as strong, is to be examined. If you allow it, they'll overlook what happened the day before."

Shiro's eyes widened and she got out of her seat. "No! N-Nii-chan! You can't!"

"Oh but he has to," Hagire said but black eyes burned into his soul and he choked. "Y-Yes! It's either that, leave the facility with your father… or…" He smiled. "Become the caretaker for Shiro-chan."

The three blinked in confusion.

"Nii-chan will become her nii-chan?" Ganta asked but Obito frowned.

"What would be the stipulations?" The teen asked and the doctor hummed.

"You'll never be allowed to go home," he explained. "You'll be around her 24/7, you are to administer food, medicine, happiness ratings, and so on. You'll never live outside of her-"

"Very well."

Hagire's body heated up with excitement. '100%!' His interest in the boy had been bordering on 'in love' lately.

Ever since he interrupted Shiro's latest 'experiment', Hagire couldn't be asked to ignore him!

His ability to slice off his arm with but a knife in one swing had engaged him… but the way the boy could freeze him in place?! That took his breath away!

If they could put him under observation, that'd save so much time! They could slowly coerce him into things via simple trips outside!

"N-Nii-chan?" The girl looked confused before he ruffled her hair. "?"

"You two are important, remember that, Shiro-chan," he said softly to her before his eyes went cold at Hagire. "Does my father know?"

"Obito, please, for the love of God, ignore that man!" Came the call of a man who ran into the room. "... Oh, no."

The man behind Hagire was tall, easily standing above six feet, and had fair skin and short black hair that went well with his slightly red eyes.

Wearing a lab coat, a red shirt, and khaki slacks, his dark brown boots screeched painfully against the floor in horror.

Obito smiled sadly at him. "Sorry… I need to be here for Shiro, dad."

"... Hagire, what the fuck?" The man before them hissed as the wounded man shrugged.

"Do you think that he got an option? This is the safest thing I could get them to agree to," the man said, putting on some glasses he had in his lab coat breast pocket. "They're quite annoyed, Itsuki Uchiha, they don't exactly take kindly to your son's intervention… but their interest is more important to them than their love of the rules."

Itsuki Uchiha grimaced at the emphasis. "And they care about my boy?"

"Yes, his abilities are high," the man said as Ganta got up and came over to hold onto Obito's sleeve while Shiro did the same for his other one. "They're confused, he wasn't a subject."

"And he's never GOING to be one," Itsuki threatened before turning to his son with a sigh. "Is this what you want?"

"Yes," Obito said with finality. "I know this seems like I'm doing it on the spot… but I've thought about this ever since these two were here," he said, gesturing to the kids. "Ganta's got his mom but Shiro needs someone who can become her rock."

"Rock?" The albino asked in confusion.

"... Your Aceman."

"Oh!" The girl held his hand with several nods as Hagire sweated.

'This boy's too wise,' of course, it could all be hot sir.

He was only a teenager… but ever since his introduction into this place, as a 'visitor of Itsuki'... oh, he'd shown to be FAR too smart.

He hoped his childishness existed somewhere or this might be an uphill battle.

"... Alright," Itsuki sighed, kneeling down to Obito's height. "But, I will find a way. For you, Ganta-kun, and Shiro-chan. Maybe, just a little bit of results will make them lenient."

"W-We can hope!" Hagire said, not feeling that in the least. 'Those old coons don't care about such things.'

If one thing was for sure, he knew that they'd ignore the happiness of the subject for results.

"Wait, Itsuki, what was this I heard about Obito-kun!?" Shouted a woman from the door as she, too, slid into view.

"Mom!" Ganta cheered as the woman blinked at him before smiling shakily only to look at Obito. "Obito-nii's gonna become Shiro-chan's big brother!"

"O-Oh."

"He seems determined, Sorae," Itsuki said as Ganta's mother, Sorae Igarashi, sighed.

Sorae was at an average height for a woman, leaving Hagire and Itsuki to stand half a head, and one foot, over her, respectively.

Her skin and eyes were like her son while her hair, while black, was long and set into a braid that came over her shoulder.

Wearing a white lab coat like her coworkers, she had on a green sweater, white pants, and sandals, yes, because they were comfortable.

Obito nodded to her. "Good afternoon, Sorae-san-" His face was quickly smushed between feminine hands.

Sorae's eyebrow twitched at the boy as she pinched and rolled his cheeks. "You better know what you're doing," she grunted as she ended it with a cheek pinch. "I'm gonna be sad, Shiro-chan will be sad, and I know Ganta and your father will be, too, don't make promises you can't keep."

"Ugh, I know what I'm foding."

"That's what worries me the most," she said before releasing his face, much to the giggling of the children. "Haa, Ganta-kun, Shiro-chan, don't follow your 'big brother's' way of just jumping into things."

"We can't?" Shiro asked and Sorae's eyebrow twitched as Itsuki and Hagire chuckled nervously.

"Well… most of the time," she corrected and the girl grinned innocently. 'I guess, for you, that wouldn't make the most sense, huh?' It was Obito's abruptness that stopped a rather horrifying experiment sooner rather than on time. 'I'm thankful, Obito-kun, this situation isn't simple for an adult.'

Which made his wisdom and choices so much more difficult to think about and bear.

He was giving up his life, essentially, for some child he'd only known for four years.

'He's a magnificent boy.'

~NRK~

A year passed so easily, Obito was left wondering how time truly flowed.

At present, he was in some dark blue pants, shirtless, and curling a dumbbell over and over in his room, Shiro on his bed, coloring in some book.

And he meant 'some book' because it was a book that he'd bought and finished a while ago, so she could use it for whatever she wanted.

Now that he was fifteen, he was bigger, stronger, more capable of using the power in his body.

Capable of now using the Sharingan in its entirety save for the most cursed part of the power.

Growing up in this life with his father, Itsuki Uchiha, and his long-since deceased mother, Itomi Uchiha, Obito found that he'd cared for them both to an immediate degree with no care for why.

He had parents and cherished them as much as he could. In that same vein, they did so as well, and he'd thought that he could live a happy life like that but it all came into perspective as his father admitted to him, years after his mother's death, what his work actually was.

So, now, instead of staying at home to be happy, he said 'fuck all that' and just joined the man here.

To prevent any possible suicide his work would push onto his psyche, to spend more time with him, to see if he couldn't prevent anything.

And, so far, he'd only been able to do two of those things with some effort made for the last.

"Shiro, I'm curious," he said as the girl smiled at him. "Do you want my last name?"

She blinked thrice before her eyes widened, her cheeks flushed, and her mouth opened in disbelief.

"R-Really?!" She shouted, putting down her things and jumping at him.

He caught her with one arm, chuckling as she giggled into his neck.

"Yes! I-I'm Shiro Uchiwa!" She declared and he snorted.

That would be ironic… Hmm.

"Do you like Uchiha or Uchiwa?" He asked her and she blinked.

"C-Can I have both?"

"Snrt," he had to laugh at that. "Sure but we'll need to come up with a name for 'wa' when we call you with 'ha', alright?"

"Yes!"

This little life would make his predicament bearable, he knows that much.

~NRK~

As a week passed, Obito blinked one day, in his room, as his father came in with Sorae and Ganta, the teen laying down with Shiro reading on his stomach.

The woman looked embarrassed while the man was prouder than proud.

"I'm guessing something good happened with father and Sorae-san?" He asked as Shiro grinned at Ganta who ran over before getting on Obito's bed.

The two huddled atop the teen who blinked as the two adults chuckled.

"Well, that should be fine, after all, you two are my sons," he said as Obito and Shiro blinked. "Well… I never told you but Ganta… is blood-related to you," Itsuki said with a blush that Sorae reciprocated. "And, well… we got married."

"Married?" Shiro blinked while Ganta crossed his little arms in thought. "What's that mean, Obi-nii-chan?"

"Hmph, it means two people want to spend their lives together… romantically," Obito explained and her cheeks reddened.

"L-Like in the books?!"

"Y-Yeah, Shiro-chan," Sorae said in total embarrassment. 'These are your kids, these are your kids!' Well, Shiro wasn't… but she was starting to not care.

It was scary, was this motherhood? It was a whole mess of confusion.

"So, Ganta is my brother?" Shiro asked.

"Well, if you want to see it that way, sure," Itsuki said with a proud grin as the girl's eyes shined in wonder. "While you may not see each other all the time, you're all connected by more than even blood."

"More?"

"The blood?" Shiro finished for Ganta as Sorae smiled sadly.

"Yes… there are relationships that can go beyond even some concepts. There are people whose families aren't even composed of people who are related but they love each other anyway."

"So, we don't need to be blood-related to be your family, Shiro-chan," Obito's father finished.

The girl grinned widely as Ganta smiled.

Obito sat up, both children landing in his lap.

"You did it online, didn't you?" He asked the adults who laughed.

"Yup! Can't very well leave work yet," the man said with a laugh.

As it turned out, his father really was where he got his younger personality from.

Who'd of thought?

~NRK~

Half a year later… At night, Obito slept in his room, Shiro in his arms, snoozing away with him.

Then the boy heard a noise and he was wide awake.

'Gas?!' He thought in alarm, the sight of the stuff filling his room at the medical institute got him to jump out of bed with Shiro in his arms, the small girl yawning as she rubbed her arms.

"Nii-chan?" She asked him but blinked at his look of alarm. "?"

"Shiro, something-" He blinked as his vision flashed before hitting his knee. "G-Guh!"

"Nii-chan!" She rubbed his cheeks as the teen gripped his face with one hand, holding her in his opposite arm. "W-What's wrong?!"

"Hmm," the door to the room swung open and Obito's eyes narrowed, burning red in the darkness, as a figure came into view. "Oh, you have mood ring eyes, how nice!"

"H-Hagire!" The boy struggled to his feet before numerous other figures came into the room. "What… are you doing?!"

"Handling our subject, dear Obito-kun," the man shrugged with his gas mask on, eyes still visible. "Did you think this was a little family home? No, it's a medical facility. You can't just keep the subject away from the testing table."

Shiro latched onto her sibling who held her close.

"Hmm… your body truly is interesting, isn't it?" Hagire asked with a grin as the soldier-like individual slipped around him. "Resisting the sleeping gas? Why we even made sure it'd paralyze your nerves but you don't seem to be too bad even this far along! Bravo!" He clapped his hands. "Grab the girl and restrained her bodyguard."

One man came in close only for his chin to crack up as Obito's flying knee slammed into it, the teen landing on the floor.

Another man swung out with a stun baton but a low leg sweep caused him both to miss and be brought to the floor for the boy's foot to come down, cracking his mask and knocking him out.

Hagire was 'in love' as Obito tore through the men around him… but he was slowing and, after the eighth, he hit both his knees.

Shiro had been fine the whole time, eyes wide in horror as Obito's body trembled.

"N-Nii-chan…" Her eyes watered as he sweat like he'd never before, a man behind him. "Nii-chan!"

Obito felt the man before he heard but could only wrap himself around Shiro as the baton slammed into the nape of his neck.

He hit the floor with her in his arms, the other 'security' gathering around him before doing their best to get his arms to let go.

Then they used their stun batons, much to the horror of Shiro as even she felt the energy from within Obito's grasp.

"W-Wait, you're hurting nii-chan!"

"Shiro-chan… Hmm," Hagire smiled behind his mask. "This can all end if you just come with us."

The girl froze as Obito's arms twitched violently.

"All you have to do is come with us, you'd even be able to come back to him right after we're done."

His voice was like poisoned honey, as her brother had once explained… Shiro swallowed.

"S-Shi… ro…" His voice was twitchy, slow, and hurt as she sniffled, rubbing her face into his neck. "D-D-Don…" Obito grit his teeth as his body trembled. 'Damn you, Hagire! When I get the chance, I'll KILL YOU!'

Hagire froze as something more than just a chill tore into his body.

The world around him had vanished, leaving him in a black void where a looming creature hung over him.

He shakily grinned as he looked up into an enormous skeleton that had teeth the likes of which he'd expect from a monster.

It leaned down and he could only shiver as it ate him alive-

He hit the floor and felt his body racked with sweat as he let out rapid breaths.

Most of the men he'd brought were down as well, all collapsed onto the floor and unconscious.

Still, Obito Uchiha was still unable to move, leaving him to salivate.

'I want to dissect him!' The idea made his body sing in resonance. 'What makes you tick?! Is it your mind that conjures these images?! Your body?! Your eyes?!' Those defiant eyes always seemed to cause him to shiver.

Then the subject surprised him as she hugged her 'brother' one more time before leaving his grip.

"S-S-Shiro!"

"Snff… bye, nii-chan," she said shakily. "I-I'll be back!" Shiro grinned with teary eyes, walking away from him. "Promise!"

He reached his hand out to her as Hagire got up shakily.

"Young man, what I wouldn't give to experiment on you," he said with a mad grin as he laughed. "Come, Shiro, the table awaits."

Obito lost consciousness moments later, his last viewing being on Shiro's sad face.

'DAMN YOU, HAGIRE!'

~NRK~

He blinked into consciousness.

"O... kun!"

His mind's haze made it difficult for him to understand.

"Ob...n!"

Obito Uchiha growled as he shot up out of his sleeping position! Hand coming to his hands to block the light from his side from slipping in.

"Ggguuuhhhh…" He groaned as he sat there, regaining his senses. "Ssssss!" Then Obito hissed as his body throbbed dangerously.

What… Had happened…!?

His hand removed itself from his face before Sorae's own widened in shock.

'H-His eyes!' What was she looking at?!

Red orbs with a black pupil in the middle had three tomoe within the iris.

"Hagire!" Obito's mouth hissed the man's name like it was a curse before his eyes locked onto Sorae who flinched. "... Sorry," he cursed, looking away from her as his eyes returned to normal.

"O-Obito-kun… what?" She needed to know, her scientific curiosity wouldn't forgive her if she didn't! "What was that?"

"... A secret," he said as she grimaced. "This isn't something to explain to anyone… mother," Obito tested the word as her eyes widened.

And then the guilt rushed in as she remembered her immediate response to this discovery.

'If we can use your eyes, somehow, we might be able to convince them!'

'What a horrible start to having another child,' Sorae realized she might have been a bigger monster before Ganta's birth. 'Still… how long has he had this skill… or did Shiro gift it to him?' She didn't know, this was exciting if it wasn't horrifying. 'If Hagire finds out-'

"He won't," Obito answered her worries in an instant, causing her eyes to widen as she looked at him. "If that bastard ever finds out," he whispered, eyes flickering red. "I'll kill him."

She shivered at how serious that was.

And yet… was she really that bothered by it? As a mother, she did, on a fundamental level… but as a person?

No, she really didn't and wasn't sure how to take that.

"Where is Shiro?"

"... Obito, she's right next to you… And I didn't tell you everything that happened since you've been asleep," Sorae admitted with a grimace as Obito frowned.

He looked to the side of his bed and found the girl in question there… with tear streaks down the sides of her eyes as she slept.

"What happened?"

What he was told made his blood boil and Obito wasn't sure what made his sight red.

His Sharingan or his rage!

They'd continued that insane procedure of dissecting Shiro who couldn't be put under.

So, as she was being dissected, she'd felt…!

Sorae's eyes widened as his eyes changed once more… before changing again.

The three tomoe merged with the pupil before forming some form of pinwheel?

"I see."

"..." Why had that phrase been done with so much venom that she felt like Obito wasn't even mad?

Why did the room feel so COLD that she felt like she'd die if it was aimed at her?

"Where is he?"

"... Hiding," she said and Obito frowned. "... Shiro… Obito, you don't understand the true depth of how long you've been asleep."

His frown deepened.

~NRK~

Wearing hospital scrubs, while also holding the sleeping Shiro in his arms, Obito's eyes widened as they left the little bit of untouched land.

And he meant 'unharmed' because what laid out before him was destruction that couldn't have been wrought by any normal person.

"... What happened?" He asked in horror as he held Shiro closer, the girl's involuntary tight hug back getting a sigh out of him. "... And who survived?"

"... I regret to inform you but Hagire, damaged as he was, is alive," Sorae said with a frown but Obito's sick smirk got a confused frown out of her. "... Ah, him being in pain would make you happy."

"Not that," he said with a chuckle, eyes gleaming with sadistic glee. "Now, he can't even put up a fight, I'm going to kill him one of these days… mom and no one's going to stop me."

Sorae felt she should say something as a mother but… well, she couldn't say she didn't feel what he was.

"I'll only hope you're sure about this," she said, touching his shoulder and Obito's nod got one back. "Well, for now, you might need to lay low, all this damage is going to make things hard… and Shiro-chan… she's going to need so much help, Obito-kun, good God."

Obito's eyes narrowed in disgust before he nodded. "I will, that was never going to be the alternative, she's gone through far too much while I was asleep."

"... Obito-kun, you weren't…"

"No… I failed her, mom," Sorae had them both in her arms in seconds, tucking his head into her shoulder. "I can't let this happen again."

Sorae understood as well.

She didn't want that to happen ever again, as well.

Unknown to both, a dark red eye peeked out from Obito's neck before its owner held him tighter.

Aceman…

~NRK~

A week passed before Shiro awoke.

At the moment, Obito had just come back to the medical outpost with groceries when he saw a familiar head of white hair peeking into the hallway of the lobby.

Her red eyes widened before they water and she started sniffling.

Obito gently put his packed bookbag on the floor-

Shiro was in his embrace in seconds, the girl's arms wrapping around him as she sobbed into his shoulder.

"Y-You're awake, nii-chan!"

"I know, I know," Obito said softly as he lifted her up before walking over to his bag.

One hand lifted the Shiro-height, which was four feet, packed bag before he walked with her latched on his chest.

He went into the underground area before heading all the way to the back.

Entering, he nuzzled the girl in his arm, the child doing so back as she gripped him for dear life.

"I'm never leaving you alone again," he whispered into her back as she gripped him tighter. "I won't allow that to happen again."

She nodded and he moved into the little abode that had wooden panels, walls, and hallways with fresh paint on them.

Each of his steps caused a crinkle on a large number of newspapers, paint splotches dotting the entire area of them.

The living room was a simple set-up of wood couches, with cushions provided by faraway stores that Itsuki had bought.

It'd been on one of the couches that Shiro had been placed on when she was still asleep.

"Did you just get up?" He asked her and she nodded. "Then, we'll say hello to everyone."

She blinked in confusion. "G-Ganta is here?" She asked as her countenance dimmed. "I-I don't want to see Ganta."

"Why, what happened?"

She sniffled. "I-I think I hurt Ganta," she said, face falling back into her sibling's shoulder. "I-I got really mad and t-then he… snff."

Obito remembered what Sorae had told him about what happened while he was asleep.

'She's so torn-up about it,' he thought as he placed his bag down and brought her down a hallway, the voices of others causing Shiho to clamp down on his shoulder with all her limbs. '...'

As they made it to a room, he opened the door a bit. "You all done with this room?" He asked the three within.

"Nii-chan!" Ganta said with a big grin, a scar on his forehead showing as he wore his painter's overalls over a green shirt. "... Shiro-chan?!" He ran over with a big grin as Shiro blinked at him before she sniffled.

Obito smirked as he let her down, the girl sniffling as she hugged him.

"Y-You don't hate me?" She asked, worried, only to blink as he hugged her back.

"You were super scared, dad told me," Ganta said as he grinned at her, the girl's bright red eyes widening in shock before they wobbled. "You're my friend, I gotta help my friends when they're scared!"

"GGGGGwwwaaannnntttaaaa!" She cried as she held him close with a wail. "I'm… snfffff! So, sorrrryyyy!"

"I know!"

Obito chuckled as he looked at his parents, dressed the same as Ganta.

"She's wide awake, huh?" Itsuki asked as he came over before enveloping Obito in a hug. "Thank God, you're both alright." He whispered as Obito hugged back.

"I know…"

An hour of calming down, a bit more painting, and some clean-up later saw the family of five sitting around a wooden dining table.

Shiro's mouth dropped as Obito made several handsigns before biting his thumb and planting his hand on the table.

Plates, forks, spoons, and knives shot out of the tableware, shocking the trio of Shiro, Ganta, and Itsuki who stared at the red wood in disbelief.

"W-What!?" Itsuki gaped as Sorae giggled a bit. "O-Obito?! C-Could you… do this all the time?!"

"No, around a year ago, I began to be able to do this," Obito admitted with a sigh as Shiro's eyes shined as she and Ganta held their wooden spoons. "... I'm sure that Shiro can do something like this, right?"

The girl gawked at him before swallowing. "Y-You knew, nii-chan?" She asked in disbelief. "B-But you're not scared of me?"

"I knew you were special from the moment you were four, I didn't care, Shiro. You're not some monster."

The girl cried for the fourth time that day.

~NRK~

"So, wait, the floors-"

"They're painted, Itsuki," Sorae said with amusement as his mouth dropped. "Hm, hm, hm, yes… when Obito showed me this skill when he awoke, I was horrified… even if this isn't the skill I was aware of."

"Huh?" Itsuki blinked before turning to an amused Obito, Ganta, and Shiro playing on some red wooden swings behind him. "... Right, uh, what's she talking about?"

He activated his Sharingan and the man choked.

"Y-You can do two?!" He asked in disbelief, gaining the kids' attention.

"Two what?" Shiro asked as she and Ganta came to a stop, the two getting off their swings before coming around the couch Obito was in. "... E-Eh!?"

"Hmm, that explains that you can't do this, huh?" He asked and she shook her head in the super-negative. "... Hmm," Obito considered the thought before grunting with a frown. "... Shiro-chan, when the big incident happened… did you spread out your blood by accident?"

Shiro blinked before she swallowed.

"I-I don't know… I-I was just scared," she admitted.

"... Wait, Obito, you don't think…" Sorae's eyes widened in horror as Itsuki grimaced. "O-Oh… oh no."

"Hmm? What's wrong, mom?" Ganta asked as he walked over to his parents, looking up at her with confusion. "?"

Sorae smiled a bit, combing her fingers through his short hair. 'This is bad,' she thought, face not giving a hint of it away to the kids.

… But Obito and Itsuki nodded as Shiro climbed up onto her sibling's lap and sat down.

The father of hypothetically three chuckled. "She's gonna wanna spend a LOT of time with you, I hope you're ready."

"Even if I wasn't, I'd find a way," Obito said as he held her close, Shiro melting into his grip. "Still… Shiro-chan… what can you do with your blood?" He asked and she blinked before rolling up the sleeve of her small pink dress to reveal. '...' The only reason Obito had exploded into a Hirage-enraged demon was due to an amount of mental restraint not fit for a weak man.

But Itsuki grunted with a nod, seeing the way the teen's arms' veins pushed to the surface of his biceps and forearms. His hold on Shiro was gentle but that was on purpose.

The cushion his other hand was on ripped.

The albino girl held out her arm where, from one long stitch, blood rose up into the air before becoming… hexagons?

Well, this was a good distraction.

~NRK~

The following day saw Obito sitting atop the medical outpost, hiding in the shadows of the vent he sat behind, the sun casting shadows on his form.

His eyes glowed as he peered down into the streets, minding all the ne'erdowells that might approach.

-Son?- Came Itsuki's voice from a walkie-talkie Obito had. -Everything good?-

"Yes, all the surrounding streets are empty save for a few stragglers, they seem to be the homeless," Obito answered back. "How's the painting going?"

-Well, we've finally done all the rooms. We'll just need the bedframes now. Not saying you should force yourself if you can't-

"No, it's fine, it's been, what, five hours?"

-Wait, what?!-

Obito smirked. "I'm coming down," he said simply before hanging the item on his belt.

With the recent calamity, he'd taken to wearing a pair of custom-made ninja sandals from nearby material stores' leathers. Some thick black slacks and a thin black shirt, the entirety of his body covered by a black cloak he'd fashioned into an Akatsuki-esque version.

No space for bright colors, he had to be as invisible as possible just in case.

Going down into a false elevator made of his Blood Wood skill, there was a door and, behind it, a long pole that he hopped on before sliding down.

As he did, he touched the wall and pulled the entry back down into the roof's tiles, always a good idea.

As he landed on the bottom floor, he kept the shaft and walked into his home.

In the living room, he nodded to Itsuki and Ganta, the father-son duo having worn some black shirts and red shorts.

"Whew! Glad to be done!" The large man said as he leaned back, crossing his legs, Ganta copying him with difficulty. "Hmph, still, the wood you make, I brought over some of my equipment and it's full of powerful cells. It's to the point that it's still alive and capable of growing."

"So, we have to prune the house," Obito said with a raised brow as Ganta snickered. "Alright then."

"Nii-chan!" Came a familiar call from the hallway and Obito turned only to pinch the bridge of his nose as a naked, suds-covered, Shiro ran at him with her arms out. "Nii-chan!"

His life… This was his life.

~NRK~

"I've been wondering about you," Obito said softly to the 'sleeping' Shiro.

Darker red eyes slowly opened before her head turned to him.

Brushed one of her bangs away, the girl leaned into his touch.

"... I'm not her…" She answered and Obito nodded.

"I know," he said, placing a finger on her cheek and rotating it, much to her confusion. "Even if you have the same puffy cheeks," Obito said with a smirk as she blushed a little, pouting at him as she looked away. "Do you have a name?"

"... Aceman…" She said quietly and Obito's heart sank. "I-I know you couldn't help, s-sir-"

"No, none of that, no 'sir'," Obito said quietly, pulling her into his lap and nuzzling her. "I'm your brother just as much as I am Shiro's. Don't forget that."

Her eyes widened and Obito heard the sniffles begin, holding her tightly as she sobbed into his chest.

"It hurt… so much!" She cried and he rocked a bit, holding her as she let it all out. "I hate them! I hate pain! I hate everything!" 'Aceman' shouted into his chest, that blood 'whip' that Shiro could do coming out from one of her stitches.

"... That's fine," he whispered and she sniffled, looking up at his grin with teary eyes. "But, we're going to make sure you have so many things to love, you'll never find the end to it."

She sniffled as he kissed the top of her forehead, stuffing herself into his body.

"Hmm… I'm curious… Can you take over? Or is this a shared personality?"

"... We can talk in our head," she said and he hummed, tucking her head beneath his chin. "Shiro tells me all about stuff and I can watch her do them, too."

"Hmm, so she knows."

"... She's very nice."

"Hmph, I know," Obito said with a smile. "Still if that's the case, you should get to enjoy some of the things she can, too."

"E-Eh?"

An hour later, 'Aceman' slept with a smile on her face, stomach full of food in its full form.

"... Nii-chan…" She whispered as he laid down next to her, the girl laying on his side. "Mmm…"

Obito smiled.

~NRK~

They'd been able to actually live a normal life with Shiro, for a good three years, Obito kept vigilance and trained himself, and Shiro, on how to protect their family.

The girl seemed like a natural, honestly, it was as scary as it was perfect. She had good control over her… well, he'd called them Blood Banes for a while and the name just caught on.

With his own, possible Blood Bane, Obito had learned the ins and outs of it.

To note, he still only had his Sharingan and Chi no Mokuton. The power had grown as he learned to apply it in different ways.

From building a blood garden that they turned into a personal one, to making wood for the house, to making weaponry.

He'd gotten an… well, it was basically an evolution if his father and mother were right about his blood cells.

Now, he had levels to use with the second level carrying some… obvious indications that he'd need to hold back for the sake of their private life.

This life, though, things were great all things considered. They'd homeschooled the kids, for now, gotten TVs for the living room, parents' room, and Ganta's room, Shiro always seeming to go there anyway if she wasn't in Obito's own.

He'd even made weights for anyone who wanted to exercise, even doing a form of hamster wheel for endurance.

Okay, so, maybe he'd made it critical for them to use them, yes he made many, for the sake of 'just in case'.

And he'd never been more relieved and annoyed when that came to be.

~NRK~

He walked the streets, a gray skullcap on his head, black sunglasses over his eyes, and wearing a face mask on.

Wearing a black t-shirt, slacks, and some white sneakers, Obito was sure he looked like just a random person on the recently fixed streets of Shizuoka.

Carrying a backpack full of food but more manageable and less obvious, he was walking down the street when he heard something interesting… in stereo.

"Apologies, may we have some of your time?" Came from his sides and he stopped with a frown, turning around and stepping back three feet to look at his flankers.

They were twins, obviously, the two carrying the same features but with one of them being female.

They had somewhat pale skin, light red eyes, and white hair, the male having some that came down to his chin while the female's came over her shoulders and down to the middle of her back.

They were probably around his age, meaning they were 18… why the hell did this smell like a set-up?

"Can I help you two?" He said, voice now deeper just by way of puberty coming and going. 'Their body language speaks of control and they're gonna try and intimidate me?' They didn't even look scary!

Wearing white dress shirts, the female having her top three buttons undone, they had on black slacks and black boots. They looked normal save for their actual looks.

"We wished to speak with you… you are… normal, as they say," the girl said with some hesitation, face contorting the slightest bit.

He raised a brow. "Is that so?" Obito asked. "Well… yeah…" Were they just awkward teens? "So, what can do for ya?" He smiled disarmingly, surprising the two of them… for some reason.

'What the hell is this? Why do they seem to be so surprised?' No, he had to get back to his family.

"Though, I can't be here fer too long."

"It'll be simple, really," the brother said with a clearing of his throat. "Can you come with us to meet someone? Our master wanted to speak with you due to you… I believe the word is 'bling'?" The young man looked more confused than Obito did.

'... Am I dealing with an idiot?' The idea wasn't unfounded. 'I get the feeling they've never actually gone outside,' kind of sad. "Okay, he just wants a quick talk, right?"

"Yes," the female said with her eyes looking at his, leaning to the sides to try and look at them, directly. "Please come."

They gestured for him to walk ahead but he sweatdropped. "You two do realize I have no idea where I'd be going, right?"

"..." They blinked at him.

"... Ah, yes, of course," the young woman said and he sighed.

They walked ahead of him by the barest of steps and Obito's eyes narrowed as the further they walked… the further away he was from his home.

Inside his pocket, he pressed down before focusing.

"Where is your master, anyway?" He asked.

"... In the hotel," the young woman said.

"And this hotel is…"

"... In this direction… give or take five miles," the young man said.

"Okay, I'm sorry but this isn't happening," he said with a grunt. "I have to get home, I apologize but you'll have to tell him 'I'm sorry'."

"... Will we?"

"Simply meet our master, he wishes to MEET YOU."

So that's what this was. "No."

He booked it immediately after before he growled as he heard the beginning of a call.

Over the spark of a walkie-talkie.

"He's approaching the building!" The male said as Obito frowned at the female at his side. "So, I was right!"

The woman reached for him before he swept her legs out from beneath her, her eyes going wide as Obito's leg swung out and she was sent flying into a building.

They were in an area with not so great construction yet, so there weren't nearly enough people to garner attention… but it would come.

Which meant he had to get out of here!

So, surprising the two, he leaped in after the sister.

"A-Ah!"

"En!" The male of the two ran over with worry written into his eyes.

And, when he went in… His eyes widened as he saw his sibling, hanging from the ceiling, face slightly red as her mouth was covered by a curling branch, entire body tied to a red tree.

"Mmm!" She struggled but Obito Uchiha's technique, it held true! 'His Branch of Sin… has it developed this much?'

And when did he… No!

'CHAN!' She tried to warn him but it was too late.

Obito Uchiha descended on the male and his shock was too great.

Moments of struggle later, the one known as 'Chan' was left in the same state that his sibling was in, embarrassing so great that he blushed in defeat.

"I… was defeated," he said and she shot him with as many positive words she remembered from their dictionary games. "... You, you've developed your Branch of Sin this much on your own?" He asked.

'Branch of Sin?' Was that what Hagire called it? "I call these Blood Banes because of how annoying they are, they're not sins of a child. If anything, they are sins of your so-called master."

"You won't besmirch him like that!" The male twin shouted before Obito was at his level in a second, a tree monolith lifting him to their eye levels. "W-What?"

Then the other young man's eyes burned red.

~NRK~

Ganta and Shiro were in the arms of their father as Itsuki and Sorae heard Obito's walkie-talkie distress signal.

The signal meant they needed to leave their home, for a while.

They made it to the living room and a piece of the floor had been opened up by their son as is.

"Alright, kids, you know the way we do this, right?" Itsuki reassured them with a smile as Shiro looked nervous. "Shiro-chan, I promise, your brother is stronger than some random security guys, alright?"

She sniffled but nodded, the man ruffling her hair as they went down a long rope.

Obito had prepped them for this day and Itsuki was now not the least been annoyed by his continued training.

He might need it.

So, as they all got in, he hung by the opening before pressing a button on his walkie-talkie.

Moments later, he slipped the carpet back over the hole that no longer existed.

'Come back to us safe, my boy.'

Then the room exploded into a full block of Obito's Blood Bane.

~NRK~

Obito felt some relief in his veins as he felt the 'callback', the red on his cheek receding.

'Stay safe,' he said mentally as the twins looked at him in horror and disbelief. "Not so stoic anymore, are we?" Obito said with a snort as the two blushed before grimacing outright.

"Y-You, you have two Branches of Sin?!" The man said in shock. "W-What did you do?! What was that power?!"

"That's where you're mistaken, I've done nothing but make sure she's fine, I let her live a life that you all won't and that's where the line has been drawn," the red eyes burned into their minds. "And you won't remember."

The male teen went limp as his sister's eyes trembled at his state before she turned to Obito with terror in her eyes-

Her seeing orbs fell shut and she forgot everything in the last five minutes.

Obito brought them down before dismissing his Blood Bane into the ground. The least amount of evidence, the better.

Still… The sound of cars coming close got his attention.

He ran into this building's basement before jumping down a convenient manhole cover.

~NRK~

He looked around, his newest body's state of disarray a rather annoying thing but this one had a Branch of Sin! Hagire had to have it!

"Have you found… him?" He asked the computer techs watching the entire situation from drones in the sky. "He can't… be allowed to escape! Neither him nor the girl!"

Then there was an alarm icon on the side of a screen and one of the techies opened it to reveal the video call of En and Chan.

And they didn't look happy.

-F-Father… He… defeated us- En admitted with her head down and Hagire frowned as Chan came forward with a grimace.

-He figured out we were leading him away… he's too smart, sir. We failed to keep him occupied long enough-

"Hmph… Come back, we've already surrounded his little home so there shouldn't be anything he can do without being caught," Hagire said, his new body's slowness annoying him something fierce. 'I need a new one… And the boy would be perfect if he has a Branch of Sin.'

A body like his would make Hagire fly over the moon! He'd be able to admire, inspect, dissect, and enhance to his heart's content!

And he'd have a young body again! It'd be perfect!

His mind then went back to the 'diamond of sin'.

'... If we implant it,' his eyes widened at the idea before he grinned widely. "I want the boy! If he so much as shows up, ignore the family! Bring him back as the top priority!"

The technicians nodded before watching on with Hagire as their forces snuck into the building.

Minutes passed as they showed video feeds about everything the men saw.

"Nothing… it seems, though, that they've traversed the upper level often," one of the technicians said as she was shown dusted footprints. "No one has left the building save for Obito Uchiha who has disappeared. Yet… Sir, there are no sounds being heard from the current level."

"Make them go down," Hagire said impatiently. "Right now, scope out the area, don't let a single spec of their existence leave that medical outpost!"

The techies nodded and they all watched on as every room was checked, cleaned out, and then left.

When they came to the end of the lower end hall… something was wrong.

-Sir, there are marks on the floor by this door- One of the men said as they opened the door with difficult…?! -What the hell?!-

It was basically a wall of red?

"... A Branch of Sin?!" Hagire's eyes widened in awe. "Quickly! Break it down!"

The men had nodded, one of them coming forward and raising his arm.

Blood spilled out from his mask, near his mouth, and formed a drill-like shell over his raised arm.

It spun before he slammed his drill arm into the wall of red.

Then there were sparks and he gasped as he pushed and pushed but when he stopped and pulled his arm away… All that had been left was a small hole.

-... S-Sir, this material… i-it's likely the entire room!-

Hagire blinked in confusion as some of the red material was broken off with drill man's assistance.

-This is… wood?- One of them noted and Hagire felt his blood sing at the idea.

"The boy has a Sin!"

~NRK~

Followed his recognized pathways.

When he came to a large pipe, he grinned as he snapped his fingers by it.

A hole of wood spiraled open and he went in, closing it behind him to be covered in the grime of the world once more.

He traversed the seven-foot in diameter 'pipe' for minutes, his body running all the way to the end of this thing.

When he did, he stood at the opening, looking at all the sewer pipes that fed into the area.

Creating a wooden mask for the lower half of his face, he whistled.

"N-Ni-!" He heard her and rolled his eyes with a chuckle. "Doot do doot…"

The small whistles caused him to snort.

He whistled back in a routined melody that his mother had taught him.

The Woodpecker's Lullaby.

"Nii-chan!" Came the shout of Shiro as she waved from another open pipe, this one an actual sewer pipe, so their feet were covered by boots while their bodies were given hazmat suits. "Here! Here!"

Obito nodded before he brought his thumb, the nail sharpened to a point and stabbed his left palm.

Laying the hand on the entrance of his pipe, a wooden platform sprung out towards the others before he ran across it, rushing towards the waving Shiro.

When he made it across, he closed the hole and reinserted the bridge back into it.

"Are you all alright?" He asked and the group nodded, Shiro holding onto the bottom of his shirt. "Alright, if I'm right, they should have noticed that the room is just a big block of wood. We won't have long."

"We're heading to the forests of Nagano, right?" Itsuki reconfirmed and Obito nodded. "Why there, exactly?"

"It has the least amount of company presence and, as you said, there are forests there. We can just trek to the mountains."

"Still… Obi-kun," Sorae said. "We can't be on the run forever."

"You're right, I want these two to live perfectly good lives," Obito said, gesturing to his younger siblings. "For now, the plan is to training Shiro to the point that she can protect you no matter what… Then, I'll go and destroy Hafire and everything he's built by my own hands."

"... N-Nii-chan, I want to protect mom and dad, too!" Ganta declared as Obito blinked before chuckling.

"Well, I don't mind training you as well, you have been doing all the exercises I've given you. For now, let's get out of here, alright?"

And so, the Uchiha-Igarashi family vanished from the clutches of the clutches of Hagire.

For the next seven years, that's all they did… Well, most of what they'd done

~NRK~

Hagire Rinichirou hummed as he drummed his fingers, slowly, against his medical cot.

'Six fucking years and no traces?!' The sheer idea of such a thing happening made his blood boil. 'And my body's already as far away from ideal as possible.'

Five years back… he'd become bedridden something bad and now had to use this body's son to work his life's work.

He was stuck in a specialized room of their newest establishment, a huge prison with pubic appeal through 'games' for their 'members'.

Deadman Wonderland, his newest ideal.

If he couldn't get Obito Uchiha, he'd find another body to then get his body.

Still… he hadn't predicted how limiting the twins' powers had been.

'I can't move to a body without a Branch of Sin, a painful limitation.'

It was some humorous form of 'blood types', he guessed, possibly.

Still, it made the creation of this establishment necessary.

They needed to find, capture, and transport here all those who'd been 'invaded' with Branches of Sin from Shiro's explosive temper.

As it turned out, too many of these occurrences had popped up and they had to work quickly to wrangle everyone they knew about… And, at current, only a few had a body/Sin worth considering.

'What was his name again?' Hagire groaned in his cot, looking up with grayed eyes. '... Ah, yes, Toto Sasagami! No, wait, Sakigami!' The boy who could copy Branches of Sin! '... If he saw the samples, could he copy them?'

The 'wood' samples of Branches of Sins. They scrutinized those things ever since they could get them and the sheer idea of a Branch of Sin, like that, made him salivate.

A blood skill that allowed someone to use wood! That wasn't something that had been seen by all the Deadmen they captured!

So, it was special. And, in that case, it was either Shiro… or Obito Uchiha's, no?

Sure, it could be any of his family… but the boy's skill had made it more likely that it was him.

A door in front of Hagire parted open, allowing in a man followed by a familiar pair of twins.

Chan and En hadn't really changed that much besides becoming older and taller, the two still the same height which made it even more difficult to tell them apart without their hairstyles.

Wearing butler outfits, they even dressed the same and wore the same black boots.

Their hairstyles hadn't changed either, so they were as similar as possible.

But the man that came in with them… well, he was this body's son.

Tamaki Tsunenaga.

Tamaki had a fox or weasel-like appearance, being fairly slim and skinny. He had a narrow face that had a perpetual smile that Hagire had to question was real or not. His hair was dark grey and combed backward, although there was one strand of hair that was standing upwards, the locks coming down to just past the nape of his neck.

He wore a grey suit with a white, formal shirt, accompanied by a blue tie as he brought his entire look together with a pair of glasses Hagire had bought for him at one point… just in case.

A body with bad eyesight was something he was used to, after all.

"Hey, old man, how long are you going to keep admiring these kids of yours?" Tamaki asked with a snort as Chan and En simply watched on, patient and calm. "We've searched for years, are you not over them yet?"

"Foolish boy… They're more important than anything we could know," Hagire said. "The girl is the beginning of all of the Deadman while the boy… hmph, he has the perfect body I need."

"And you won't consider all the other Deadmen? You've got two right here!"

"And they're needed for the transport, you idiot. As for the Deadmen, have any of them shown potential besides Toto?"

"... Well, not even close," Takami shrugged. "Toto is an anomaly as is. We don't see anyone else with such conceptual Branches of Sin."

"... How long would it take to bring him here?" Hagire asked with annoyance. 'I waited for my body to stabilize for too long. I need to move soon.'

"Well, we can do that whenever. Your body, on the other hand, needs more medical attention," Tamaki said with a grin that showed all his vicious teeth. "It's odd… why are you so unstable?" He asked curiously even as, in his mind, he smirked something fierce. 'Keep on healing, old man, you're so obsessed doing this was easy.'

Poisoning him had been the easiest thing Tamaki had ever done! The old bastard's attention was too far away, too focused on the big picture, to the point that he'd not even traded his body in yet!

And that was Tamaki's key to all the secrets of this damnable place. His Deadman Wonderland.

~NRK~

In the backside of the large 'wonderland', a woman frowned as she paced in front of the newest 'security' that she'd not known was being admitted here.

Wearing a dark blue prison warden's attire which consisted of a beret, jacket top, and skirt with brown tights and heavy-duty shoes, her eyes were a sharp dark blue that looked at him each time she walked in front of him.

Her skin was fair and the man before this woman noted that she had one strand of her dark brown hair coming down by the front of her face, the rest under her beret.

'Interesting, she's not as crazy as I expected of this place,' he thought, holding his arms behind his back while wearing the male version of her uniform, where pants were in place instead of a skirt. 'Right now, I don't know her, though, and she can be as conniving as she wants to be.'

Obito Uchiha wouldn't let that get away from him.

Everyone in this horrid place wasn't to be trusted until he could say otherwise.

"Hmph, once again, that blasted Tamaki brings in information I had no idea of," she scoffed and he raised a brow at her.

His long black hair, tied into a braid, falling down to his lower back as his two long bangs shifted with his tilt of the head.

Had to change his looks for all of this.

"?"

"... Nothing, newbie," she said before coming to a stop in front of him. "I'm Kiwako Makina, your prison warden, boss, and overall superior, do you have any questions?"

"Too many," Obito shot back before bowing. "Tobi Akatsuki, ma'am, all I know, as we speak, is that I was chosen rather erratically from my job applications," he came back up and she shot him a look.

Kiwako's eyes scrutinized the person before her. 'Was he in the military?' His stance was perfect and to the 'T'. "Were you in the military before?"

"No, but I've trained in the woods all my life, acknowledging the animal with the most strength there is important."

"Okay, now I know why he hired you," she said with a hand to her forehead as he blinked. "He thinks you're funny or something to that effect. I hope you don't sport magical powers."

"I don't, not unless we're in a forest," Obito said cheekily and the woman snorted, standing at his own height. 'So, she's as tall as me, that's unusual for a Japanese woman.'

"You're pretty tall for someone who's Japanese," she said without filter and his eyebrow twitched as he chuckled nervously at her smirk. "But I can see it in your eyes, you're thinking the same thing about me, aren't you?"

"Mmm, perhaps," Obito said lazily before shrugging. "I'm simply curious."

"Ask away."

"Are you actually Japanese?"

"Not fully, I'm part German."

"Interesting. How tall are you?"

"Hmm, last I was checked… give or take 182 cm."

"That's two shorter than I."

"And what about you? Are you fully Japanese?" She asked.

"Yes, ever since I was born," he answered with a smirk as she snorted.

"Of course. What about before this? What did you do?"

"Well, I've got my GED, didn't go to college, and focused on forest work. It's in my resume. I've stayed in the forests and mountains for the past ten years."

"Hmm," she held said documents behind her back before looking over them, right in his face.

This woman had some nuts.

"I see," Kiwako closed it before nodding. "Any questions pertaining to Deadman Wonderland?"

"Several, I'm sure there will be training later," Obito said and she nodded. "Then, I'd ask, am I the only one who finds this place horrible?"

Her eyes widened the slightest bit before her eyebrow rose. "No, you're not, this shit hole has been running for six years and I've been here for three of them. It doesn't change and don't let that crappy employer of ours fool you," Kiwako's eyes darkened but filled with ice. "He's a piece of shit, he's sadistic, and those 'games' on TV aren't as nice as you think they are."

'So, I was right,' Obito frowned at that before sighing. "I figured," he said and she frowned.

"You knew?"

"There's literally no way for technology to emulate a live performance," he hissed and she nodded. "The masses want to believe it's all a game, they'll shy their eyes away from the horrifying truth because it'd make them guilty. Even though their input would stop a place like this from existing. At least their 'entertainment' side," Obito frowned deeply.

This whole set-up made no sense. How do you watch people die and think it's some fucking game?!

"I've never been more disappointed in humanity than I have in recent years," he admitted darkly and she nodded.

'Sharp eyes,' it was true, Kiwako had no fucking idea how people even thought this shit was fake. 'He's not an idiot so Tamaki probably just hired him on the spot without a thought. He's either a mole or that weasel's an idiot.'

Well… she could live with both of those answers, honestly.

"Everything you've said is, unfortunately, true," Kiwako agreed and he kissed his teeth. 'Yes, it doesn't get easier from here,' she agreed on that front, too.

If that was being shown to the populace imagine what it was like on the inside.

"Come, your orientation starts now."

"... Excuse me?"

"It's going to be practical, there's no point if it isn't," she smirked and he rolled his eyes.

What a woman.

~NRK~

Traveling through a long set of hallways, they finally made it to the front of this cursed place.

"Is that much walking really what our boss wants for reaction times?" Obito asked in some disbelief as Kiwako snorted.

"He's an idiot and about as sadistic as I told you, this is him being petty as far as I'm concerned," she said as Obito's face went flat. "Exactly."

First, she showed him the cafeteria. Why was that also far away from their quarters?

Then she showed him the medical office and CP machines.

"CP?" He asked and she nodded, pulling out a white card and handing it to him. "..."

"Cast Points are your currency while here," Kiwako said without missing a beat. "CP for short, that's your food, water, snack, and personal items money. Everything that can be purchased is with that money. Every card can hold up to 100 million points, maximum."

"Wait, how does that even work? Ignoring the question of 'who could even find that out?', how do we get issued these points?"

"Every day, people like us get 'stipends'," her twitching fingers got a nod out of Obito. "That can roll over into the next day, Tobi. Without them, you'll be asking for help from others, so don't put yourself into so much debt. It's a harsh world in these walls and you can buy damn near anything in them. Clothes, excess food, weaponry, limited technology, favors, even fucking whores to come through if you've got the right amount of money. These are the lifeblood of this prison."

He nodded as they walked past several inmates.

One of them, a boy with blonde hair that combed over his eye, smiled before bumping-

His hand found the kid's shoulder and set him back on his feet before patting him on the head and continuing on as the teen froze, hands twitching and empty as his card was tucked into the collar of his green prisoner's jumpsuit.

Kiwako's eyes narrowed.

"No point in me hurting them if I catch them beforehand," Obito said with finality as she shot him a look. "Hmph," he shrugged.

"... well, aren't you merciful?"

"Snrt."

Yoh grimaced as he clenched his hands with his head down, standing in the corner of the lunchroom.

'He… h-he took them!' Had the bastard not been so merciful… H-He might have lost all his CP! 'Dammit!' Yoh cursed under his breath as lunch was served.

He bought himself some decent soup for today, he was in a bad mood.

Then he saw that bastard again, being led around a leash by that bitch of a warden.

'You can be as sexy as you want, bitch, that doesn't mean you're remotely attractive,' he thought with a huff, sitting down and eating. "Hmph… doesn't taste half-bad today," Yoh said to himself as he ate.

The two jailers walked to the front of the line of inmates and received food that made Yoh's paltry meal jealous.

'Ignore 'em,' he told himself but his eyebrow began to twitch as they sat right behind him. 'Are you fucking kidding me?' Yoh's head slumped in disbelief.

Dammit, the guy was petty!

Still, he might glean some info on him.

"Hmm… the food here could use some… more effort," that 'Tobi' guy said and Yoh rolled his eyes.

'Not everyone can afford such good food,' maybe he was a rich guy?

Coming in to get his rocks off, maybe?

"Really? This food doesn't taste that bad, the steak is kind of charred but I don't really mind," the top warden said and Yoh began to sweat.

'Are you any better?!' Who ate steak charred anyway?!

"No, it's just that I cook as a hobby and think this food is downright sad, right now."

"That's not fair to the cook, what would he think?"

"That he should up his game or I'll take his job?"

Kiwako snorted.

Yoh's eyebrow twitched. 'Is that bitch… flirting?!' Well, look at this!

He had gossip that no one couldn't see behind him.

Then there was the sound of a tray being put on their table and Yoh looked to see… 'What is that idiot woman doing?' He thought with a sigh.

Well, she might get some information out of them.

Dark pink hair flopped as the female inmate sat down at the end of the warden's table, gaining their attention.

"And you are?"

"Hmm… so, you are new?" The fair-skinned teen said, her golden eyes looking from Obito to Kiwako. "This is our new guy?"

"Hmph, yes," Kiwako answered as she ate before drinking some water at her side. "How is this subpar again?" She asked Obito whose eyebrow twitched.

"Ma'am, don't make me disappointed, having good tastes is important," he said before shaking his head. "Right, I'm your newest jailor… for however long the cook keeps sucking at his job."

"... Well, I mean, he's not that bad-" The girl tried to say but Obito's flat face told her that wasn't good enough. "H-Hahaha… Um, right, I'm number 3733, Azami Midou."

"Right, did you memorize that list of numbers yet?" Kiwako asked as she wiped her mouth with a napkin.

"I did, all of it," both females raised their brows. "I have a photographic-like memory. So, for example, the boy behind us listening in?" Yoh flinched as he choked on his soup. "9061."

"... Is that so?" Yoh began to sweat from the warden's threatening posture. "So, that's why you didn't wish to speak so candidly, huh?"

"Yes," Obito said as he looked at the boy's back, Yoh's head down as he kept eating fast. "Pleased to meet you, Yo-kun."

"Um, hey, uh, what's up?"

Azami snickered. "Man, you're surprisingly sharp," she said with a grin as Obito shrugged, leaving Yoh alone so he could nearly barf up his lunch.

'I'm pretty sure I almost died,' the boy thought in horror. 'No, seriously, what is this guy?' He'd have to ask him after lunch.

This was too bizarre.

~NRK~

"Hmm? Oh, yes, Tobi-kun, right?" Tamaki said as Yoh grimaced with a flat look. "Ah, don't be like that! It proves he's interesting!"

"He almost made me sick," Yoh said, leaning back in his chair. "The fact remains, he's scary smart and skilled. Did you even look at his job application?"

"I skimmed."

"That's not good enough!"

"Calm down, it's not like he's going to be intruding on your work, right?" Takami asked as Yoh scoffed. "He hasn't, yes?"

"Nothing yet but he stopped me from both swiping his and the main warden from hurting me, so…" Yoh looked embarrassed. 'No, remember, everyone's in it for themselves… even the bastard before me,' he thought before grunting.

"Well… Hmm, it's only his first day, though I could have him roughed up a bit."

Yoh considered it… before grunting. "I'll give him two more chances, if he wastes 'em, beat him up."

"Oooh! A deal!"

Yoh scoffed at himself.

Where was this sentiment coming from?

~NRK~

Obito hummed as he met one of his coworkers.

She was a woman by the name of Kyouko Kasuga.

Having short dark brown hair and slightly tan skin, her kind brown eyes closed as she smiled at him, spectacles glinting a bit in the light above.

Wearing the same outfit their chief had worn but with light gray tights, Kyouko seemed nice and cordial.

So, thankfully, it was a pleasure to interact with her.

"Pleasure," he said and she smiled more.

"Same, I didn't even think Takami would bring more people for this madness," she said, crossing her arms with a pout and closed eyes. "It's seriously messed up."

"I signed a waiver and everything, trust me, I know."

"Haa… That man's seriously going to get what's coming to him, one of these days," she said after a sigh before grinning. "But, tell me about yourself! Hobbies, likes, dislikes, taste in women!"

"... Do you-"

"No, I don't," Kyouko blushed with a facepalm. "Look, I'm not Bi, either, but anyone can enjoy whatever the chief puts on."

"... I want to say this is odd… but I can't, that's true," Obito said and she snickered.

"So…"

"... I like cooking and training… well, also, in recent years, playing violin," he admitted and she grinned.

"I didn't expect that last one, it came out of nowhere… Hey, you should get a violin while you work here!"

"I mean, I don't mind. I'm guessing they do sell damn near everything here," he said as she nodded before walking forward with his sleeve in her grip. "Right now?"

"Yup!"

~NRK~

Walking towards the CP Store, Obito blinked in confusion.

"Wait, I'm sorry, Kyouko-san, I don't know how much CP I get in the beginning," Obito said as they stopped by it.

"Oh, that's fine, I'll loan ya, Tobi!" She said with a smirk and a slight blush. "Y-You know, for a little favor."

Obito observed her and took two seconds to consider what she meant.

"... Well… while I'm not a loose person, that wouldn't be the least enjoyable thing."

She blushed but she grinned like she'd won the lottery.

"Nice! You're, like, one of the few good men here, I'll have you know!" She teased as they walked in, not seeing Azami blushing as she followed in after them.

'Adults are super perverts?!' The idea was damning!

Following them in with a blush, she snuck around, watching the two pick out whatever it was they were looking for.

'Violin?'

That Obito guy considered it before holding it to his shoulder and neck, moving a bow from off another rack-

The sound he played nearly caused her to jump as it spread through her bones.

It smoothed before moving at a rapid pace, a somber melody with energy, she supposed.

"That sounds amazing!" Kyouko declared with a grin. "That had WAY more energy than I expected from a violin!"

"Yes, as it turns out, any classical instrument can find the right groove," Obito said with a smirk. "One of my younger siblings began to fall in love with rock music a couple of years ago and I learned to play some on this thing."

Obito set his violin and Azami blinked before a voice from her side nearly caused her to scream.

"What are you doing?" Yoh asked as she nearly jumped out of her damn skin. "Chill, geez," he whispered again.

"Why would you-?!" Azami began to rant only for the two to blink and jump at the energy around the corner.

The sound filled their ears and Azami choked.

"Wait, no way!" She rounded the corner in shock as Kyouko blinked at her. "T-That's Airplanes, isn't it?! On a violin?!"

Obito smirked as Yoh came into view, looking slightly embarrassed as he facepalmed.

He continued his little piece before ending it off at a small dip in the song.

Azami stood there, amazed, as her eyes shined. "I-I haven't heard Airplanes by the American, Haley Williams, in so long!" She fistpumped. "God, I love that song!"

"Hmph, that one my mother loves," he said as he picked up a case for the instrument. "So, this is definitely worth the purchase, thank you, Kyouko-san."

"Hehe~ No problem, I loved hearing that. Hmm, you know many others?" The spectacles-wearing woman asked with a grin and he nodded.

"Oh, many."

As they walked away, Azami grinned and sped over to the nearby MP3 players as Yoh's eyebrow twitched.

'She became a fangirl in under a second!' God, were these really inmates? '... Still…' That song had been some of the best things he'd ever heard in this place.

Taking his number 3 spot which was ridiculously good.

'Dammit, don't get caught up in it,' Yoh berated himself with a grumble… before looking at the MP3s from afar. 'Don't be stupid.'

He facepalmed as he left the store with the small music device.

'Fucking hell.'

Obito hummed as he looked at the kitchen with interest, Kiwako and Kyouko at his sides, the three in their work uniforms.

"... So, you're actually allowing me to cook?" He asked for confirmation and Kiwako raised a brow at him as Kyouko snickered. "Just making sure. Alright, anything you can't eat?"

He tore through the kitchen with ease, mastering it like it was a pocket of change.

In 20 minutes, Kiwako hummed appreciatively at some steak and wine placed in front of her.

"Hmm…" She smelled it and smirked. "I see."

"Exactly."

Kyouko grinned at her own steak, the slab probably a third the size of her head! "Very kind of you, Obito," she said with a grin as her fork just materialized into her hand.

As it turned out, good God, the man could cook well.

~NRK~

His first week there, Obito acclimated.

He didn't try and scope out the entire building, yet. His first objective was to work his way into the prison's system and see what he could get without snooping.

And, in that week, he found himself gaining a few… well, not all of them were 'comrades' but he guessed a decent amount of good rapport within the place.

From Azami and Yoh to Kyouko and Kiwako, those were his only connections but Obito found that acceptable.

Yoh was the least open with him but that was fine, the young man was secretive and Obito would respect that.

Azami, on the other hand, had shown him her pet armadillo, a little thing by the name of 'Kincho'. She'd even been open about why she was there.

A betrayal in a motorcycle gang that caused her to take the rap for them, a fact he knew was true from the zero lying posture she had.

She'd truly been set up to fall and it hurt her, badly.

Kyouko had informed him of her time before all this, saying how she had been here for two years and joined due to the small number of jobs there'd been as of late due to the Great Earthquake.

He'd done his best to not react to the name.

Finally, Kiwako, his superior, as always, was as blunt as possible.

"Oh, well, I was in the military, as you know. The Special Defense Force. That place was full of dicks trying to get their dicks wet but I made some comrades during my time."

He'd never met a more abrasive woman.

He was intrigued.

~NRK~

Week 2 saw Obito working on a stack of paperwork, at night, when Kyouko slipped into their office.

"Still working?" She asked as she peered by his side, humming. "Wait, no way you handled all that paperwork!" Kyouko gaped at the 'Confirmed' pile. "What?"

"I've always been good with paperwork," Obito said before smiling shakily. 'I'd always worried that I would for Hokage,' that one dream he had about the world with him still on the good guys' side made it to the forefront of his mind. 'I might have set myself up for failure.'

She looked at all his work before remembering. "Oh, right, the chief did say you had a photographic memory, right?"

"I do, for the most part," he answered before leaning back with a grunt. "Though, I might have been at this for too long," Obito said, looking at her and Kyouko chuckled before blushing a bit.

"T-Then, come on, I'll be… cashing in that f-favor," she said with a red face and he blinked before chuckling.

"Yes, senpai."

Her eyes widened and she went full-on red before dragging his ass out of the area and into one of the nearby doors by the office door.

They went in and it was basically a mini-apartment for each member of the Warden Squad, as he'd begun calling themselves.

"T-The room's down the hall," she said with a hurried voice. "I'll shower real quick-"

A hand found her waist while another slammed against the wall by her head and the woman realized that 'Tobi' might not be willing to let her get clean.

He then nibbled on her neck and Kyouko realized that showering made no sense, of course, it didn't.

She was gonna get real dirty soon!

The nibbling came to her chin before she caught his lips with her own.

They never made it to the bedroom.

Obito let out a breath as he laid down on Kyouko's couch, the woman herself atop him, the two naked as the day they were born.

She giggled, glasses off and hair in disarray, the latter he smoothed out as she hummed pleasantly.

"It's a good thing I bought those birth control pills early."

"You were expecting to seduce me?" He chuckled in her ear and she joined him. "Hmph, well, I doubt I would have complained even if I knew."

She blushed before laying down, front down, on his chest, looking him in the eyes.

"Tobi-kun, tell me, are you really a normal person?"

"... Not really," he admitted with a shrug. "I feel that you understand that."

She chuckled. "Well, actually, it was the chief. She realized you were too good," Kyouko blushed as one of her fingers trailed each of his abs and pectorals. "I guess she didn't know how true that is."

"Hmph… tell me, Kyouko, what do you and Kiwako really think about Takami."

"He's a piece of shit," she blushed as he laughed. "I-It's not hard to see. Just the idea of these 'games' alone makes me sick to my stomach," Kyouko grunted, laying her head down on his chest. "I just don't understand, who the hell is stupid enough to not realize people are dying in here?"

"Hmph, the masses are… a special group, when working together," Obito said with a frown. "Honestly… I remember the days before the Great Earthquake, people around the globe could easily find a random flag that no one knows the location of but they find it. How in the world has this place not been found already?"

She lifted her head up and he raised a brow at her disgust.

"We believe… there's a group of powerful companies controlling the information that leaves here," she whispered and he frowned, looking around before she giggled. "No, there are no cameras here. I just think every form of safety isn't a bad idea."

"I see… so, no idea which companies, huh?"

"Well… we've got one," she said and he blinked at her, getting a laugh out of his one-night-lover. "Yeah, it's a man by the name of Hagire-"

"Rinichirou," Obito's hands moved off her rear to crush the top of her couch. "... apologies. Just know, yes, Hagire Rinichirou is in on this."

"You have bad experiences?" She asked, touching his cheek and he sighed.

"Yes, he's a horrible man whose morals are probably one of the biggest reasons this place is thriving."

"That makes sense, no one who knows and still allows it would be a good, sane, person," she agreed. "Still, you hate him, clearly."

"Yes, he's chasing my family, likely, even now. It's been six years since we got away from him. He's obsessed and his attention isn't one you want… though, there's something else, I can tell you about the companies, possibly," she perked up and then her breasts did the same. "... Right, when I was young, we worked at a medical facility. The files… there were several companies on them, backers if you will…"

He explained each one to her and Kyouko committed them to memory as best she could… because she didn't have time to write it down on paper.

Obito sat up and she shivered before moaning a bit as his erection pressed up in between her buttocks.

"Now," he spoke as he massaged her rear while his lips pressed against hers, the below-average-height woman pressing back as their chests followed suit. "Let's handle your obviously immediate issues."

She rolled his butt against his cock and Obito's muscles bulged.

Time for a trip to Poundtown.

~NRK~

He left her 'apartment' around 6:00 am, making her a small breakfast before he left.

Slipping into his room, he closed the door and went to work cleaning up.

He'd taken a shower and found some underwear and shorts around when a knock hit his door.

"Coming!" He said, looking for a shirt before grunting and just going to the door. "Hello?"

"It's me, Akatsuki, I just need to ask you about this information Kyouko sent me," came Kiwako's voice from the other side of the door.

"Right, one moment."

"We need to get ready soon."

"... Haa, alright, come in," Obito said as he opened the door to reveal his chief in a large white t-shirt and blue short shorts. 'What a sight,' he'd never really seen her like this before.

Still, he turned around and rushed back to get a shirt. "Sorry, ma'am, I was in the middle of changing."

"I can see," she said with a raised brow. "Your muscles are impressive, very attractive," she admitted with a small blush and a shrug.

"Your honesty is a real sight to behold," Obito said, finding a white shirt in his bedroom before coming out, putting it on. "What do you want to know?"

Thankfully, his room was also not bugged.

She nodded, coming over and standing by his bedroom door. "These companies… if what you say is true then they're the big companies who moved to Shizuoka 7 years ago. That's concerning."

"I think we should be glad there are no foreign entities involved, at least," Obito added as he leaned on his door frame. "This problem is only in Japan. There haven't ever been Deadman Wonderlands in other countries, right?"

"None, thankfully," she said with a sigh before her eyes glared at his wall. "Still, at present, a lot of Japan's 'powers' are involved in this madness and that's still a high wall to deal with in the future."

"... If it comes down to it, I'll handle it," Obito said and she raised a brow. "For lack of a better word, there's a good reason my family has been able to stay as undetected as we are."

Kiwako hummed at that. "Not going to tell?"

"Well if things go well for you in the coming year, you'll know immediately."

"You've got something planned."

"I do," Obito said. "I've been planning to destroy Hagire Rinichirou's entire life for years. Trust me, I've got something big planned."

"... You're infiltrating…"

"Yes," Obito said with a smile. "Apologies."

"No, that's honestly not the worst thing you could have said," Kiwako said. "Still, how big is this operation you're handling?"

"Hmph, hmph, it's extremely small but, trust me, I can make that big if I can get into the places I need to in this damn place."

"... I see. If you figure anything else out."

"I'll tell you."

"Alright, get ready for work, Midoriya," she said before waving him off as she left.

'That woman's got the right mind and an amazing backside,' was he becoming more of a pervert?

Or was the fact that he finally got laid a contributor to this?

Whatever it was, he was appreciating the female form more as of late, thank God.

~NRK~

The three were wide awake and in the cafeteria once more when they met a familiar, annoying, man.

Tamaki Tsunenaga waved them down with a smile in his usual suit.

"Yes, sir?" Kiwako asked with a frown. "Is something unusual?"

"Well, I simply wanted to speak with you all about a soon upcoming shipment," he said, all smiles. "These criminals, they're going to be… the worst and I need you all to be careful around them. I'll have them sent to special cells soon, I assure you! This will be your first time, Tobi-kun! Don't worry about learning the procedure, your seniors will help you out!"

"Alright, sir," Obito nodded, expression empty.

"Hmph, with a face like that, I wonder if you know a certain set of twins," the man said as Obito blinked in confusion. "Bah, forget it. Take care!"

He left them like that and the three looked at one another before continuing on.

"What was he talking about? 'Dangerous' criminals? Kind of redundant… and odd he wouldn't want the wardens monitoring the most dangerous… I see, so this is how he does it, doesn't he?" Obito said and Kiwako looked confused. "... when we're in a private area," he whispered.

They walked into the cafeteria, got their food, and seated themselves in a far corner, away from all the inmates.

"What was it, Tobi-kun?" Kyouko asked with interest. "What exactly did you mean?"

"... In this prison, I'm sure of it, there are special people… people who've vanished off the streets and were oddly incarcerated. I knew of one such man, a man by the name of Senji Kiyomasa, he was a police officer-"

"Wait, he came through," Kiwako intercepted him with a frown that deepened the more she spoke. "And he mysteriously 'went into deeper security'... Tamaki, you son of a bitch," she hissed.

"T-Then where are they going?" Kyouko asked in confusion. "There are the seven sectors… yet, I haven't heard anything about Senji since he came here two years ago when I first started."

"... Another ward?" Obito asked in horror and the two's eyes widened. "Is that possible?"

"... It shouldn't be… but then when I think about it… isn't this place too big?" Kyouko asked with a frown and Kiwako grimaced. "Like… this whole building alone is bigger than any prison I've ever seen when I was applying for the job. I always found it weird that this much space, almost twice the size of a track field, was needed for the number of inmates we have which has, last I counted, 40 thousand of them. That's not even enough to fill in the Olympics."

"... So, that means it's down then," Obito realized with a frown as Kiwako crossed her arms. "The way things are going… I'm going to need to get into there then… but not now," he said as they looked at Yoh in the lunch line. "Not saying he is but I can guarantee someone like Tamaki would have a mole in their prison. It'd be the only way to truly manage these people and this person would get special benefits, it'd be a win-win for both sides."

"So, we can't ask an inmate," Kiwako said.

"Possibly not even the other wardens?" Kyouko asked with a nervous laugh as he shrugged. "I know this sounds… invasive, Tobi-kun."

"It's true, you don't know if you can trust me… but there's no way it's recent. At least, the chance isn't high," he said and they looked confused. "Let me ask you, has any one of the prisoners suddenly disappeared or were taken in when you didn't expect it?"

Their fists clenched. "Yes."

"Then it's not the three of us," he said. "I won't lie to you, I have a way to make sure people aren't lying. Besides reading body language, I have the ability to hypnotize people."

"... Are you a 'special' person, Tobi-kun?"

"... Yes, I am, likely more special than most of the 'special inmates'. It's another reason why I can't let Hagire find me. He'd waste no time in trying to dissect me like he'd done to my sister."

Kiwako's eyes widened as Kyouko swallowed, looking green.

"What?" The warden chief balked as Obito's eyes burned the slightest red. "... Are your eyes a part of it?"

"A big part of it."

~NRK~

In three days, they saw them. The so-called 'special inmates'.

They looked normal in every way but Obito explained that it was in their blood… and he'd shown them a bit of his 'Blood Banes'.

Never would Kiwako disregard the supernatural ever again, this all had gotten so weird, she'd decided that anything she heard could have a kernel of truth.

Kyouko, on the other hand, had wanted him to show her all the ways he could use it.

There was an innuendo in there Kiwako didn't try to find.

So, come that day, Obito memorized the inmates' faces as they gave them their debriefing before sending them off to be taken by… guards.

Odd-looking guards in white armor and jumpsuits whose helmets were eastern-inspired. Their left breasts held the insignia of the establishment.

His eyes narrowed from the hall the three of them watched from after letting them have the new inmates.

They left in the left direction and Kyouka frowned.

"If they go left from here… that's supposedly Ward E," she said softly and they nodded. "From there… there's no…" Her eyes widened.

"A secret entrance," Kiwako realized with a frown as Obito nodded. "If that's the case, it's likely to be in a hall that has a hidden door… but we can't just prod around, that won't solve anything and only get us into hot waters."

"I've got it," Obito said as he nodded to the two, confusing them. "All I need to know is where it is… then I'll just dig around it," he said with a smirk as the chief snorted and Kyouko chuckled.

"Well, being 'straightforward' certainly wouldn't help us here," the woman with spectacles said with a chuckle.

~NRK~

Nodded in his black clothes.

Ninja sandals, pants, long-sleeved top, a mask, and gloves. The entire outfit being covered by a small black cloak.

Kyouko and Kiwako sat on his couch, the former going through all the files on Obito's computer.

"How did you get these?" She asked in disbelief. "I-I didn't think Takami even had such information… Dead… men?" Kyouko began saying… only for her words to slow and the others frowning.

Coming over, Obito crouched by her seat to see the file's name.

It was all the way in the 'time' file, hidden away from places where a normal person would look.

The hard drive he'd filled with Takami's computer's hard drive data beeped away as it connected to Kyouko's laptop.

Opening the file, the group's eyes narrowed at the familiar names.

Senji Kiyomasa

Bingo. "So, he's clearly got them doing something down there," Obito said as Kyouko slipped out of the file before looking at several others that were in the 'time' folder.

Deadman Carnival - Carnival Corpse

"..." Kiwako's hand clenched around her katana's handle, the woman cleaning the blade moments earlier. "Open it."

What came out of that file… was both valuable as much as it was horrible.

"... USB," Kyouko said as she took the item out of her shorts and plugged it in. "Takami's going to go away for a long time."

"Tobi, it's almost midnight," Kiwako said and he nodded, getting up before walking towards the door. "How are you going to do it?"

"I'll go outside through the back and scale the walls. Don't forget, no matter what, do your jobs. I'll handle myself, I promise. I can get away from death in numerous ways."

"... Take it safe, I mean it, buster," Kyouko said, shooting him a look that he nodded at.

He walked out.

"Am I the only one who thinks he's a ninja, ma'am?"

"No, I'm seeing it, too."

~NRK~

As it turned out, his blood didn't just allow him to mold wood.

The Uchiha created several 'wooden' blood stumps along the wall of the outer shell of Deadman Wonderland.

And they'd thought the name was just supposed to be a gaudy joke.

As he ran, hood up and mask on, Obito frowned as he minded the guards and outside cameras.

He'd memorized every route, patrol, and camera location, this was all child's play to when he was a ninja.

So, as he made it past the female's locker room of the inmates in the ward… he blinked as he saw a pair of… eyes.

Azami Midou choked at the sight of him.

"... Y-You breaking out?" She asked him, nonchalantly. "I mean, yeah, I'd want out, too."

"... In time, those who deserve it, will be," he said, altering his voice, something he'd only done a bit of, recently. "That, I promise."

She stared at him, gold eyes shining in the moonlight as they looked at the dark figure's eye.

It burned red and he nodded before continuing his climb up the side of the outer walls.

Azami gripped the bars of her window tightly, something filling her core.

The most insignificant amount of hope.

'Dammit, I meet a guy at night and I'm some sort of damsel in distress,' she thought with a snort before a small armadillo rolled by her legs and she giggled a bit. "Come on, Kincho, let's go to sleep."

Something might actually happen, eventually.

~NRK~

Obito slipped into the building via one window with a faulty camera that was supposed to be checked tomorrow.

He closed it behind his cheeks burning with bright red marks.

His Sharingan activated and, quickly, he created a small disk of blood wood beneath his feet and vanished into it, shrinking the wood immediately after into the size of a coin.

~NRK~

Obito peaked out of the other coin-shaped wood he'd left by the 'F Ward' wall, in the shadow of the camera.

Kamui, in this life, made it so he had the ability to transfer between all forms of the wood/blood wood he'd controlled or made in recent years.

It was not only an amazing evasive tactic… he snorted.

But it meant he had access that no one did.

Still, at present, he was viewing through the wooden coin with his burning eyes.

… There! An outline in the wall.

He increased his visual prowess and saw the small fingerprints on the wall.

Obito chuckled before transporting out of it.

He was in the air and placed his hand against the floor.

His blood wood drilled into it silently, his blood snapping out to cover it in a small dome.

When he saw metal, he stopped and slipped into the hole.

He shot his blood at the vent beneath him before it became viscous, softening his landing.

Obito grinned.

'Jackpot.'

~NRK~

He'd traversed silently for many ten minutes when he found his goal from a small opening he made in the ceiling.

G-Ward. It was a big gate, seemingly, and he nodded.

He went 'around' it through the vents, cement, and steel.

When he arrived on the other side, through a small hole, he arrived in a… hallway?

He blinked at the white surroundings confusing him.

'This looks like the normal walls of the outside? So, he simulates it here for sanity purposes, most likely,' Obito thought with a frown. 'Tamaki, you're a sick bastard.'

He landed in the hall and moved about, minding several cameras that he passed by via Mokuton: Kamui.

Obito traveled in a wide circle, seeing numerous of those 'high-level' guards from before.

'It's a giant cog, like in the files. So, it's not a dummy set of schematics but there were so damn many,' Obito didn't know why someone needed that many dummies.

He'd even felt like Tamaki hadn't seen some of what he had.

"Hmph?" He stopped by a door with a set of numbers on it.

279…?!

'Wait, that's Senji!' His eyes widened before frowning. 'How do I contact him? Is this door locked? Built with an alarm? If these floors are made of metal, the noise I'll make won't be softened enough-'

"Huh?" Came a voice from a bit away and Obito's head turned mechanically towards a man… a familiar man.

Senji Kiyomasa.

Senji was a tall muscular man with a tan. He had short black hair that spiked back and several letters DSMK tattooed above his right eye that Obito didn't know the origin of.

Wearing a black tank top, light gray sweatpants, and black sneakers, the man blinked at him with a towel rubbing away some of his sweat.

"Who the hell are you?" He asked abrasively, eyebrows lowering before he smirked. "Oh? I bet you're trying to start a fight early! Well, I don't-"

"Senji, for the love of God, shut the fuck up," Obito hissed at him as the man blinked. "We need to talk inside your room. Seriously."

The man frowned. 'Do I know this guy?' The thought wasn't exactly an old one, hell, almost all the people he… knew… 'There's no way…' His eyes widened before Obito repeatedly cut his hand across his neck.

He kept pointing at his room.

Sitting down on his bed, the man before Senji sighed in relief.

He then lifted his mask a few inches and the former officer of the law choked.

Obito smirked as he replaced his mask. "I guess you've been living a decent life here," he said, sitting down on the floor.

"H-Holy fuck… I-I thought I wouldn't…" Senji was getting emotional and he shook the thoughts away, hiding a few tears. "Snnffff, y-yeah, uh, what the hell are you doing here?" He asked. "You didn't… get fucking caught, too, did ya?" He asked with a frown of horror.

"What? No," Obito said and Senji was relieved. "... Ever since two years ago, when you were taken, I'd already been planning to slip into this place to destroy it from the inside out. At present, I'm a new warden for the other side. I've been here for two weeks."

The tan man gaped at him and Obito chuckled.

"F-For real? Then, what are you doing down here?"

"I slipped some files from Tamaki and have some fellow people of the same interest looking them over. We're going to take down this place and ruin the worlds of the owners."

Senji felt a wide grin sit on his face. "What dya need me to do?"

Obito smirked.

"Right now, I'm just figuring out where all the secrets are. I have Tamaki's files, the name of this place's backers, and, now, the location of the supposed 'G-Ward' where 'deadmen' are. Tell me about this place. In your experiences."

The man nodded. "Well, right now, they give us all codenames. Mine's is 'Crow'..." He explained everything he could to his friend.

Still, as he spoke, Senji grew solemn.

"So, you do know I deserve to be here, right?" He asked him humorlessly. "I… I-I killed the Old Man and I-"

"Senji… What the hell are you talking about?" Obito asked and he grimaced. "Senji… we saw it from the camera footage on Old Man Reiji's breast pocket," his eyes widened. "You didn't have a damn thing to do with what happened."

"You what?"

"... We saw him," Obito added with a frown as Senji's eyes grew cold and his fists clenched. "And he was a man with a gang, bloodshot eyes, and a bandana over his lower face," the cop's eyes widened.

"No way… The fuck?" Senji's hands tightened around his knees. "Who was he?"

That little punk had done this?!

"His name is Ikazuchi Akatsuki and he was taken here this year and I have no idea where he is," Obito said as Senji growled. "The fact remains… I believe there's more to this place because if he's not on the ID list, like you all, he might very well be in here."

"That… If what you're saying is true… then I don't know," Senji admitted with a grimace and Obito sighed.

"... You know, I'm going to get you out of here, right?" He said and Senji snorted before Obito smirked. "Hinata would love to see you again."

The former cop froze… and began to blush like a little schoolboy as he perked up.

'He's as dog-like as I remember,' Obito thought with a chuckle. "Yep, she's fine, Izuru's fine, your son is fine."

Senji's eyes widened and Obito nodded as the tears began to flow.

"N-No foolin'?"

"None," he said. "I handled the gang problems myself. With my eyes, I've basically lobotomized the newly-made underground to destroy themselves. It was time to truly do something about all of that."

"... Hmph, then count me in on this place's destruction," Senji agreed and Obito truly smiled at the right look in his eyes. "I have family waiting for me."

"You're damn right."

"What do you need to know?"

"Well… To be fair, I really just need to scope out the size of this place," Obito said. "I'm planning to attack this place with Byakko and Gunman."

Senji blinked once… twice…?! "Oh, shit, you're gonna destroy this place," he realized before snickering. "Fuck yes."

"Exactly."

Kiwako hummed as Obito opened the door to his place.

Kyouko laid asleep on his bed, laptop opened and shining on her face as note after note was left next to her.

"How long have I been gone?" He asked and Kiwako nodded.

"Almost three hours," she answered and he sighed.

"Dammit. Well… I figured out a lot of things," Obito said as he came over and sat down on the couch, Kiwako practicing her swordsmanship. "And I met one of the Deadmen… a friend of mine who has good info on the place."

Kiwako smirked. "Tell me about it."

"Of course."

That's a wrap. It's clear to note but I'll say it.

This story has, at best, two more chapters. It's not a fix-it fic but it's Obito in his prime, with powers he's familiar with, up against a decrepit old man, his conniving son, and a pair of twins.

Oh and, of course, Obito has Shiro on his side so it's not really a matter of 'if' but 'When'.

Pairings for this story are, to this point: Ganta x Shiro, Senji x Hinata (From the OVA)

Obito's love life is one I haven't figured out but I do like the idea of Kyouko or Kiwako. We'll see.

Otherwise, his 'Blood Bane' allows him to control plants while the second level gave him the power to 'form' them out of his blood while his Sharingan… well, we know what most of it does. Add on that it gave him back Kamui, if not an altered version, and he's back in high quality.

Shiro, here, barely has her Aceman persona who's about as comforted by Obito as she is by Ganta. The two weren't subjected to years of experimentation as they were in canon, making it so that the 'Wretched Egg' isn't really a thing.

And, yes, Senji's a friend of the fam but really only Obito. He knows the others are like him but they want secrecy and he's honorable enough to not push for them to help people with them.

So, he and Ganta know one another already and if we were following canon, say if Obito 'died' for a bit, Ganta would be welcomed by him and protected/taught from the offset, making him even better than he ever was at the end of the series.

Finally… Hagire. Whoo boy! I can't wait to write about his world falling down around him.

There are hateable characters and then there's Hagire. My God, I literally just finished re-reading DW and I hate him on a conceptual level!

So, yeah, he's gonna get a magnificent 'shutdown' eventually.

Ciao. See you all later.
