Prologue Part 4
Cale* was very confused. A moment ago he was in his room trying to figure out if he should go and check on Basen* now that he is back from the capital or just figure out how to ask someone how he is doing. Both of those options didn't fit in with his trash act though, so he settled for grabbing a bottle of alcohol downing half of it and preparing to head toward the common areas of the house to hopefully overhear how Basen* is while he pretends to be drunk.
He only managed the first half of that though before he found himself in a completely new location full of people.
'Did I drink more than I thought I did? I'm pretty sure I'm not drunk, but what the hell else could be going on?'
"Cale? Choi Han? Alberu?"
At the sound of his name being called by an unfamiliar voice, Cale's* thoughts came to a screeching halt and his eyes zeroed in on the strange man calling his name.
'He looks similar to that bastard Choi Han, but I've never seen him before. How the hell does he know who I am?'
At that moment the stunned silence was rather violently broken by Choi Han* causing Cale* to shudder in remembered pain.
"Who are you and why in the hell have you brought us here? Are you the bastards setting off bombs all over the place?" Choi Han shouted after jumping up from the couch he was seated on and drawing his sword with his aura raging.
His words startled others into action. Weapons were drawn, mana gathered, auras raised, and fighting positions were assumed.
Toonka* focused on the unknown people around him before starting to grin like a lunatic. There were strong individuals mixed in with the others. There was the scent of many strong people all around him.
"I smell strong people!!!"
Having shouted that out, Toonka* ran toward the strongest person in front of him, jumping over couches and knocking people over as he went.
His target just so happened to be Lee Soo Hyuk, who was sitting right next to Kim Rok Soo*.
Those with Kim Rok Soo* tensed up, but remained seated. Their commander wasn't panicking or moving, so there was no reason to do so on their part.
Before anyone else in Toonka's* section could react in order to stop him (or in the case of those who were plenty capable of stopping him, but just chose to watch), Toonka* leapt, head first, the last several feet only to slam, also head first, into an invisible barrier.
For a moment, only the echoing sounds of the rather impressive thud were heard throughout the room, then another sound took its place.
Scritch. Scritch.
Yet again the sounds of something being written drew everyone's attention toward the screen at the front. The words appearing this time were different. No friendly welcome showed up this time.
"NO VIOLENCE! All aura, mana, skills, ancient powers, and abilities that can be used to harm oneself or others will be sealed while here. No weapons are allowed from this moment forward."
With those words, all weapons disappeared from hands and bodies throughout the room and the visible (and invisible) powers that had been gathered were snuffed out as well.
As everyone stood or sat there in shock (or in Toonka's* case picked themself up off the floor) more words appeared on the screen.
"All will be explained once everyone arrives. Feel free to treat any injuries, eat and drink, rest, or talk amongst yourselves. This is a safe space and no harm will come to any of you. Violence is not permitted and though you are allowed to speak with those not in your section, the barriers between groups will remain."
"What?" Confused murmurs could be heard around the room. A heavy sigh was heard amid the mumbles.
"Haaa. You might as well all calm down and settle in. We've all been here for a bit now and, so far, those words have held true. Also, I advise all of you to take the no violence warning seriously. You wouldn't want to piss off a being capable of bringing all of us here from different worlds," said a muscular, dark haired man covered in scars.
Hearing those words made people stop and think. It really wouldn't be a good idea to anger any being with enough power to do this.
Unfortunately, not everyone was known for using their head and Toonka* immediately jumped up and charged at the scar covered man.
"You look like you fight a lot with all those scars! Fight me," Toonka* yelled as he charged ahead.
When he smacked into the barrier again, most people just shook their heads at how stupid he was.
Looking at the idiot repeatedly punching the barrier, a dark haired woman near the scar covered man asked, "Hey team leader, he can't really be that dumb, can he?"
"There are those unfortunate enough to not have a brain cell in their head," he replied.
Cale, being near the group could hear the conversation and naturally looked over to the two speaking. When he did, he made eye contact with the dark haired man.
The look in the man's eyes made Cale* flinch.
'What the hell? Why is he looking at me like that?'
Cale* couldn't figure out why the look in the stranger's eyes seemed to be saying that he knew him. That he understood him. His eyes seemed to be full of understanding, sadness, and was that embarrassment?
'I've never seen him before in my life. How could he possibly know me?'
SCREECH
A loud, piercing noise shut up any further conversation or thoughts and Toonka* was suddenly teleported from in front of the barrier to a rather uncomfortable looking chair slightly away from the couches in his section.
"Was that magic? Who used magic? I'll kill all of you fucking mage bastards," he screamed while struggling to get out of the chair.
SCREECH
Again the sound rang through the room shutting everyone, including Toonka* up.
Scritch. Scritch.
"NO VIOLENCE!!!" If you cannot follow that one simple rule, you will be punished. This is the last warning you will get."
The ominous meaning of those words killed any lingering thoughts of fighting anyone present may have been harboring. Harol* ran toward his commander to calm him down in fear that he would bring the beings wrath down upon everyone here.
Now that everyone has settled down, Cale* looked back toward the dark haired man to see him already looking back. That same knowing look in his eyes. That look made him uncomfortable. It was like the man knew all his deep, dark secrets. Like he pitied him. He didn't like that look. He wanted it to go away.
"What the fuck are you looking at, you bastard?" Trash mode activated. That should make the look in those eyes change. The man should look at him with scorn or disgust at his trashy attitude now. Those looks he was used to. Those he could deal with.
The look in the man's eyes did change, but not to what he expected. The look changed to one of amusement.
'What the hell? Who finds someone cursing at them when they first meet amusing? This guy must have a few screws loose.'
"Ah, the stupidity of youth. So glad I've grown out of that," the man said with a grin on his face.
"What?" Cale* could only stare at him with a blank face at those words.
Before the man could reply, there was a blinding flash yet again.
The room was completely silent as the newest group tried to figure out what had happened and the other two groups looked for whoever was brought here this time.
It took a few moments to figure it out this time since the new group didn't follow the trend of being larger than the previous group and only consisted of three individuals.
Three very confused looking individuals.
Three very confused, but also very familiar looking individuals.
Standing in front of the larger group of dark haired people and off to the side of Cale's* group were a younger King Zed, teenage prince Alberu, and Choi Han.
Cale's* mind blanked out for a second. Once his mind decided to function again, only one thought was racing around in there.
"Why the fuck are there two Choi Hans?"
