Prologue Part 8
"A dragon!"
"Oh my gods."
"What?"
Chaos descended upon the area. People of all groups jumped up shouting, Elves and Dark Elves fainted, and hidden from everyone's sight another young dragon observed the little black dragon flying in the air.
'Dodam.'
That was the thought that popped into Raon's head the second the other dragon became visible.
SCREECH.
At the reminder that someone who held their fate in their hands was still watching, the room started to calm down.
Dodam took that opportunity to introduce himself.
"Hello. I am the great and mighty Dodam Miru. I am a grand total of 3 years old."
Many in group 5 glanced at the little dragon with smiles on their faces and couldn't help but think of a certain joyful little dragon they knew was somewhere in their midsts.
Dodam Miru. Raon knows his human has given the other dragon his name. Even without being there or seeing it, he knew with 100% certainty that his human had saved that dragon too. He knows his father would never in any world leave any version of him to suffer alone in that dark cave and that makes him feel warm. Knowing that his father saved another him and yet chose to give that dragon their own name too makes him happy. His father told him that Raon Miru were words just for him. A name only he would have and seeing Dodam over there, he knows that his father meant that. He saved another him, but he gave him his own name too. Something just for him. With that knowledge, Raon made up his mind.
"Hello. It's nice to meet you Dodam Miru. I am the great and mighty Raon Miru and I am a grand total of 6 years old. That makes me your hyung and you my dongsaeng."
The sudden appearance of yet another dragon started the chaos all over again.
"Two dragons!"
"Are there more?"
"What's going on?"
More shouting, fainting (the Elves and Dark Elves again), and just general pandemonium throughout the room interrupted the meeting between the adorable little dragons.
SCREECH.
Like well trained children responding to their teachers signal to be quiet, the room was instantly silent.
This silence was broken by another young voice.
"Our youngest is right, nya."
"Raon isn't the youngest anymore, Hong. Dodam is now our youngest, nya."
"Oh. That's right. Raon you are a hyung now."
"Yep. I am now a great and mighty hyung."
"Hyung? I have a hyung now?" Dodam questioned.
"Of course. Not just a hyung. You have two hyung and a noona now," On added.
The rather adorable conversation between the incredibly cute children made many watching smile.
Scritch. Scritch.
Looking back at the screen, everyone read the new words appearing.
"Have you finished your introductions yet?"
Raon, On, Hong, and Dodam all smiled and nodded.
"Then we shall continue, so take your seats."
Deciding it was best to not offend whomever it was pulling the strings here, everyone standing shuffled back to their seats (or in the case of some individuals of some sort of elven decent, picked themselves up off the floor) while new words began appearing on the screen.
"Group 5 is here to learn the truth about their commander, family member, and friend. They are here so that they may better understand him and to learn how to better protect him from himself. They are here to lessen the heavy burden on his shoulders."
"YES!! We are here to truly learn of our god's legend!!"
'That couldn't possibly be the same bastard that slaughtered his family. The fucker that razed the Henituse Territory. What in the hell has Cale been doing for that son of a bitch to turn into that?'
At that moment Kim Rok Soo was slightly terrified of Cale.
While Kim Rok Soo was having a mental breakdown, everyone in groups 1-4 (with the exception of Joo Ho-Shik who looked like he found his soulmate) looked at the white haired man like he was a raving lunatic.
Everyone in group 5 (with the exception of those seated near him who scooted as far away as they could) ignored Clopeh's existence.
There was no one in group 5 that didn't know who the words were talking about. Only one person held the title of commander and repeatedly sacrificed themself.
The only problem was the lack of said person's presence.
It was at that moment Alberu stood up to address the being behind the screen.
"It seems that you have forgotten to include my dongsaeng in this gathering. Might I inquire as to what it is you have done with him?"
The smile on Alberu's face was vicious. In fact, almost everyone in group 5 had smiles on their faces. Just not the pleasant, welcoming kind of smile. The smiles on their faces were more the nightmare inducing, revenge promising kind. It was a terrifying sight.
"This Ron would also like to know where the young master is," Ron said with his customary benign smile.
Scritch. Scritch.
"He is unharmed."
"Unharmed does not tell us where Cale-nim is," Choi Han said darkly, the threat obvious in his tone.
"Where is my human? Bring him here now or I will destroy everything."
Faces throughout the room pale at those words. It was even scarier coming from such a cute dragon.
Scritch. Scritch.
"Very well. I wouldn't want your father angry at me for upsetting his children."
SNAP
As the sound of a snap faded from the room, a bed appeared near the barrier separating groups 1 and 5. The prone figure laying on top of it sent the majority of group 5 into a frenzy.
"Human!"
"Son!"
"Cale-nim!"
"Young master!"
"Cale!"
"The Legend!!"
Many rushed to the bedside to check his condition.
SCREECH
The piercing sound stopped them and drew their attention back to the screen.
"He is unharmed and merely asleep."
"Then wake him up," Deruth grit out.
Scritch. Scritch.
"He will remain asleep until the purpose for all of you being here is complete."
"And what exactly does that entail?" Eruhaben questioned darkly.
Scritch. Scritch.
"Take your seats and I will explain."
"And if we refuse to comply?" Ron benignly questioned.
Scritch. Scritch. (They are beginning to tire of that sound.)
"Then he will remain asleep indefinitely. His well-being is entirely up to all of you and your willingness to cooperate."
"You mother fucking bastard!!" Cage cursed.
"So it's definitely the God of Death, Miss Cage?" Alberu asked.
"Yeah. It's that bastard. I can feel his aura all over young master Cale," she confirmed.
At the mention of the God of Death's name, muttered conversations began throughout the groups.
Scritch. Scritch.
"Though time on the outside is stopped, you are still wasting it with your pointless chattering. If you wish for Cale to wake up, then you will comply with my demands. I assure you all that what is going to happen will benefit Cale in the long run."
"Like we can trust the words of a god," Eruhaben muttered.
"Haaa. Calm down everyone. It seems like we really have no other choice at the moment. For now we will comply with his demands," Alberu ordered.
At Alberu's words, those in group 5 made their way back to their seats while occasionally glancing at the slumbering figure of their commander.
Scritch. Scritch.
"Before we begin, some explanation is necessary. The worlds of group 3 and group 5 were once the same. Their fate was to perish after years of struggle and war.
Group 3 still faces this fate in the future unless they can learn while here and change.
Group 5 has avoided this fate.
The divergent point between the two worlds revolves around two individuals.
Cale is one of those individuals.
You will now hear from the second.
Kim Rok Soo of group 1, please introduce yourself and explain."
Every eye in the room focused on Kim Rok Soo at those words.
'Fuck!'
